Epilogue: Goodbye for now

"So let me get this straight, when you two first met, Amity tried to KILL you?!" Anne asked in shock.

"Oh yeah, our relationship had a very… rocky start." Luz said with a laugh.

"I said I was sorry…" Amity said, embarrassed.

"Dude, don't worry. Both Marcy and me almost got Anne killed, and she forgave us! Right Anne?" Sasha said as she filed her nails.

"Of course!" Anne said with a smile.

Marcy just looked to the side ashamed.

"Hey, no looking sad!" Anne said as she hugged Marcy.

"But…"

"Less talky! More huggy!" Anne said sternly.

Marcy just smiled as she hugged back.

"Honestly, good thing you didn't dissect her. I mean, she did kinda carry us this whole time." Sasha said as she put a chip in her mouth.

"Oh, I didn't do that much." Luz said bashfully.

"Are you kidding?! You got me back to Amphibia, got us the stones back, figured out a way for everyone else to get there, saved Marcy's life, saved MY life, and there's no way we could of beaten the king without you!" Anne pointed out. "I am honestly scared to think about what would of happened if you never came along."

Luz smiled and pulled out an empty vial.

"Honestly, the Pseudo Blood is what we have to thank…" Luz said. "I wouldn't of even beat Belos without it…"

"How'd you think to even make that stuff anyways?" Marcy asked.

"Well…"

Two Months ago

"Ok! Let's get out there and get to work on this key!" Eda said as she began walking out of The Owl House.

"I dunno… I mean, I want to get home more than anything, but maybe we should wait to get more information from the Echo Mouse…" Luz said. "I mean, we don't exactly have that much Titan's Blood…"

"Yeah, that is a good point." Eda said as she scratched her chin. "If only we could get some more of this stuff…"

"You wanna make more Titan's Blood?! I HAVE SOMETHING FOR THAT!" Hooty suddenly shouted before crashing his head through the window.

Suddenly, he upchucked a book, which just so happened to open to a page that had a plant drawing.

"That plant can duplicate just about any potion!" Hooty explained. "And with Eda being a potion expert, she can probably mix the blood into a potion, then after being done duplicating it, she can separate it!"

Eda and Luz both just stared at the house demon, shocked at how he was the one to come up with this idea.

"Hooty… how did you…?"

"HOOT HOOT!" Hooty said before leaving the room.

"… I will never understand that house demon." Eda said with a shrug.

"I'll… go get Willow…" Luz said before leaving.

All the other girls in the room just stared at Luz as she finished telling the story.

They all then turned towards the window, to see Hooty just staring at them.

"Hooty! Leave us alone!" Luz shouted at the house demon.

"Ok fine, I heard my name and I wanted to see what was happening! Sheesh!" Hooty said as she retracted back to the front door of The Owl House.

Anne continued to have a horrified face, as she continued to stare at the window.

"I… will never get used to that thing…" Anne said.

"Yeah, beyond creepy." Sasha added.

Marcy… just stayed silent.

Anne looked to her girlfriend with worry.

It was obvious that Marcy was heavily affected by everything that has happened, but to see her not being excited about the idea of studying all the stuff in the demon realm was… very worrying.

Heck, they decided to have their sleepover in The Owl House simply because they thought it would help take her mind off things.

Sasha noticed Anne's worry and decided to change the subject.

"So! I think it is time for the scary dare!" Sasha said with a smirk.

"Scary dare?" Luz asked.

"One of us comes up with a scary dare, and we all have to do it!" Anne explained.

"And whoever chickens out first has to be put in…"

Then, Marcy pulled out the book of losers.

"The book of losers!"

"Oh cool!" Luz said.

"So, let's think of a dare…" Sasha said.

Then, they all put their hands to their chins and began thinking deeply.

"… Anything?" Sasha asked.

"Nope."

"Sorry."

"Nada."

"Nothing."

Sasha just sighed.

"I mean, the three of us don't really know anything about this world…" Anne pointed out.

"And nothing here really surprises or scares us anymore…" Luz pointed out.

"Hmmm… so a more tame dare probably this time…" Sasha groaned.

Then, thunder stuck outside.

Looking outside, the group saw that it was beginning to rain.

"Ok! Let's all stand in the rain and the first one that comes in goes in the book!"

Luz and Amity both immediately looked concerned.

"Uh! Actually!"

Before they could voice their objections, Anne and Marcy both stood up and cheered in agreement.

And with that, the three girls rushed out of the room.

…

And shortly after they were all screaming as the boiling rain burnt them.

"… I'll get the band-aids…" Luz said as she got up.

"Actually Luz… can we talk about something real quick?" Amity asked.

"Huh? Ok?"

"Well… after we won… there was something bothering me…" Amity said. "Really… it was how surprised you were when we saw that Hop Pop was alive."

Luz just looked at her in shock.

"You… noticed that?" Luz asked.

"I can read you like an open book Luz." Amity said with a smile. "So… what's up?"

"… He really was dead Amity." Luz explained to Amity's shock. "When I was using that power… I could feel it. All of the just… life… in everyone in the room… I could feel it… but Hop Pop? There was nothing…"

"So… he got revived somehow?" Amity asked. "How?"

"I think… that maybe Anne's power might of helped him." Luz explained. "I don't know how it works… but…"

"Then let's not worry about it." Amity said as she took Luz's hands. "All it did was good… so that's all that matters."

"… Right!"

The next day, everyone was standing outside Anne's house, though the three girls from California were now sporting bandaids on their singed skin.

"Remind me to never just jump into things there without asking first…" Anne said.

"No problem!" Luz said with a smile.

"We'll figure out a whole system with some portals so anyone can visit anyone whenever." Eda explained. "For now though… I think it is time we said our goodbyes."

"Luz… I can't thank you enough for everything you did for us." Anne said. "Sasha was right… we'd of been pretty lost without you."

"You'd of found a way without me… I just helped you along is all!" Luz said with a smile.

"Please come visit soon?" Marcy asked.

"As soon as Eda gets another portal working, I can come visit whenever!" Luz explained. "Gotta love magic!"

"I'll say!"

"Speaking of portals, we're gonna leave this one here for now." Eda said. "It'll still take a bit, but making another portal to Luz's home should be easier."

"Right, thanks Eda." Anne said.

At that moment, another door appeared nearby, and opened to reveal the Plantars.

"Hey hey!" Sprig said as he hopped through.

"We thought we'd come and see you all off." Hop Pop explained as he used his cane to help walk over.

His injuries made it more difficult to walk, but he was getting by thanks to his trusty cane and some healing glyphs.

Polly was the first to reach the group and began hugging Luz.

"I'll miss you better dressed Anne! And you too Amity!" Polly said.

"… She calls you by your name, but I am still 'better dressed Anne'?" Luz asked Amity, who just laughed

Marcy then approached the group.

"Sorry again for almost… well…"

"Don't worry about it, you weren't in control." Luz said.

Marcy stayed silent and went over and hugged the two of them.

"I… might of actually died if it wasn't for you two… Anne might of died…" Marcy said. "Thank you… so… so much…"

Luz and Amity both smiled and hugged her back.

"No problem Marcy."

When they pulled away, Amity suddenly pulled Marcy to the side, much to Anne and Luz's confusion.

"So uh… are you gonna tell Anne about the scar?" Amity asked quietly.

"… Soon… I'm not ready for that quite yet." Marcy said.

"Ok… make sure you do." Amity said before pulling away.

"You two good?" Anne asked.

"Yeah, nothing important." Amity said.

And with that, the two girls took their places back next to their girlfriends.

"So… see you soon?" Anne said as put her hand out.

Luz then took Anne's hand and shook it.

"See you soon."

And with that, the group from the boiling isles stepped back through the portal, before the door closed…

…

…

Then it opened again.

"I forgot to grab some snacks." King said as he walked into the house.

Everyone just laughed at this as they went back inside to grab a snack themselves.

The End.

And we are finally done!

Not much really to say here about the epilogue, just a bit of setting up for the sequel… Though that whole thing with Hop Pop sure is mysterious… eh, no harm no foul.

So, let's go over the plans for the future.

I am taking a break, obviously, from this series. Once Season 3 is done, I'll get back to writing and will try to get the sequel started whenever I can. For now though, I just want to enjoy the end of the show.

That being said, I still plan on writing some one shots, gonna get started on the next one soon!

In the meantime, I have some other stories and series I have been neglecting that I think it is high time I went back to. If you are a fan of the other series I have written stories for (all on ) then please, give some of them a read! Some of my earlier works definitely don't hold up to what I write now, but I say it was a good starting point for me.

This series was something that I spent SO LONG working on, and it makes me beyond happy to see how much people enjoyed it. We aren't done yet, but thank you all for reading up to this point.

So, I will be posting a preview of the sequel whenever it is ready, but I'll see you all in a couple of months for… the sequel I still have yet to come up with a name for!
