John knew he was probably just being a baby and needed to get over the fact that he was jealous Citana wanted to talk to the Doctor and not him. Besides, the Doctor was with Clara, so it's not like anything would happen between them.

"Quit being a wanker and just go back and talk to her!" he said in a harsh whisper to himself. John looked in the mirror and ran his hand through his messy mop of hair. How did the Doctor manage to keep his own hair in such gravity-defying quiff while his just flopped into his eyes every two seconds? Finally, he just shrugged his shoulders and made his way back to the kitchen.

'I'm sure it's nothing. She probably just had questions about time travel. Or…something,' John thought as he re-entered the kitchen just in time to catch the Doctor and Citana in a warm embrace.

He awkwardly cleared his throat. The Doctor and Citana ended the hug.

John made a face of confusion.

"What the hell happened? Why are you both…crying?"

"Doctor, I need to tell you something," blurted out Citana. John nearly choked on the very dry bread he had just ingested.

"Sorry," he coughed. "Citana? What could you possibly need to tell the Doctor? You just met him." John was panicking a bit, not really knowing why.

"Sorry, John. You wouldn't understand." She hadn't meant to snap at him, but she was nervous because John was right. She didn't know the Doctor at all. How would he react?

"What is it?" asked the Doctor, sounding a bit unsure of himself.

"You knew my grandmother. The one who passed. Who I was very close with..."

The Doctor's hearts were pounding in his chest as he let Citana continue.

"My…my father. He named me after his mother."

The Doctor couldn't recall having met anyone by the name of Citana before.

"I'm sorry, Citana, but I'm not sure I…."

"Amelia," she interrupted.

"What did you say?"

"My name. My name is Amelia Citana Williams."

Citana felt uneasy with how intently he was looking at her now. As if his ancient eyes were boring into her soul. Challenging her in fear of it all being some kind of lie."

"Were they happy?" he whispered, voice cracking.

"Yes. I think so. Nana and Papa were the kindest people I've ever known. She told me stories about you when I was little. The Raggedy Man," she said with a small smile.

The Doctor's face broke into a grin as tears developed in his eyes. "Those were the days," he said, then paused. "Citana? Can I…can I give you a hug?"

She was fully smiling now, seeing that telling him was the right thing to do.

"Of course."

The Doctor was laughing now. "John! It's Amelia!"

John's brow furrowed. "Um, no. That's Citana."

"Well, yes! But," the Doctor was pacing around the kitchen, rambling.

"There are so many places you need to see. Make the stories your grandmother told you to come to life!"

Citana was laughing at how insane the Doctor was acting. It looked like he was about to explode with the number of thoughts swirling around in his head. She made her way over to John and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Citana, I think he's really gone mad now. Why are you laughing?"

The Doctor then bolted out of the room, yelling about how he had to find Clara and tell her the good news.

"John, I wasn't completely honest with you when we first met."

"Oh, um. Okay…what do you mean?"

"Remember when you asked me why I so easily accepted you were a time-travelling alien?"

He paused and thought back to her odd reaction. "Er, yeah. You said you thought it would be easier to just accept it…."

"Which is true. But I also quickly accepted it because it wasn't the first time I'd ever heard about a time-travelling alien."

John slowly nodded his head with a face of confusion still. Then it dawned on him. "You've met him before? The Doctor?"

"Not exactly. My grandmother had. She used to travel with him. Amy and Rory. I was named after her. My full name is Amelia Citana Williams. My parents adopted me, and my father, Tom, was adopted by Amy and Rory."

John slowly moved to sit down at the table. "Blimey," he whispered.

Citana was laughing at his shock and sat across from him.

"This…this is really…quite the development." He smiled at her. "I mean. Wow. The Doctor was devastated when…well when he lost them. I'm sure he'll want you to come with us now. If…if you want to…that is."

"Where else would I go? I sure as hell ain't going back to the club. No thank you." She sat back and folded her arms.

John smiled.

The Doctor was practically skipping to Clara's room. His "27" brains were going a million miles per second with all the places he wanted to take Citana (and the others). Bursting through the door, he immediately began to ramble while Clara was sitting on the bed brushing her hair.

"Doctor? Where's the fire?"

"What? Fire?" he looked around in confusion.

"Not literally, you numpty. You're flapping about and rambling even more than usual. What's going on?" She was standing and facing him now.

"Citana! She's Amy and Rory's granddaughter!" he giggled.

"What?"

"She was adopted. John picked her up in New York in 1996, so given her age and if this isn't some really terrible practical joke, the math all works out!" He then faced Clara and grabbed her shoulders. "She said they were happy. They…" his voice broke.

Clara brought him in for a hug as he broke down, overwhelmed by happiness and grief.

"It's alright, Doctor. This is a good thing!" She rubbed his back as he calmed.

"I know. I…I…" he looked at her. "I love you," he whispered before kissing her. The past few days had been such a whirlwind of emotions. His hearts were so full that everything he felt began to spill over. Clara grabbed the back of his neck as he lifted her towards the bed.

"I never thought I could feel this way again," he said in between kisses.

Clara huffed a laugh. "What? Horny?"

Instead of blushing and sputtering, the Doctor took her face in his hands.

"Not broken."

She smiled lovingly at him as she began to undo his shirt. The Doctor made quick work of Clara's clothes, and they were both naked when he finally entered her. He leaned down and whispered something into her ear. "Say it."

Clara repeated it back to him over and over until they both came. She knew the strange word. Some distant forgotten memory of reading it in a book. His name.

After going through the Doctor's time stream, Clara found that her mind was a bit of a jumble. Thousands of lives and memories trying to find their place. Ever since getting together with the Doctor, it was as if those memories had slowly begun to tuck themselves away like a Russian nesting doll.

"I never thought I'd feel this way again," she said softly. They'd been silently holding onto each other for the past ten minutes.

"What way?" asked the Doctor.

Clara looked into his eyes as she brushed the hair out of his face.

"Whole."

Citana and John made their way to the console room, realising it might be a while before they saw Clara or the Doctor again.

"What year is it now?" asked Citana as they made ready to exit the TARDIS.

"Oh, it's 2014."

"Cool," she said with a wry smile on her face as she opened the door.

John immediately picked his clothes up off the floor and threw them in a laundry basket.

"Sorry, I didn't realise he'd parked her in my bedroom. I would have cleaned up a bit if I knew I was having a guest."

Citana just shrugged as she looked around. "Looks pretty much like any other guys room I've been in back in my time." Her eyes then locked onto his laptop. "Except for that. What is that?"

He quickly picked it up. "Oh, it's a laptop. Portable computer. Wireless internet." He sat on his bed and motioned for her to join him. "Prepare to have your mind blown," he said with a chuckle. John opened up his computer and went to Youtube, where he pulled up a video.

"Okay, so this is a website that anyone can post videos on. And sometimes, they go viral. You've gotta see this," he giggled.

"John, I have no idea what the fuck you just said."

"Just watch."

Citana furrowed her brow as two toddlers appeared on the screen. By the end of it, she just stared at John in confusion.

"Um, what did I just watch?"

He was laughing. "Oh, come on! It's Charlie Bit My Finger!"

She still looked confused. "Is this a British thing?"

"No!" he scoffed. "It's just A thing. This is one of the most classic viral videos! And it's bloody hilarious…" he mumbled in annoyance that she didn't give him the reaction he wanted.

"Right. Okay, well. I mean. It was cute, I guess. What are you doing now?"

"Shhh!" he hissed. "I'm trying to think of a good video. Just…I can't think of one at the mo."

Citana just chuckled at how hard he was thinking.

"What the fuck is that?"

John looked over at the gaming system she was pointing to.

"Oh! That's an Xbox."

She furrowed her brow.

"Video games!" he said excitedly, then frowned. "Except the Doctor broke it when he first tried it." John chuckled at the memory. "But Andrew and Kayla have one at theirs! I should take you there sometime. You'd like them."

"Andrew and Kayla?"

"Yeah, my friends. I used to live with them, but they went and got married, so now I live here with Clara," he then paused. "Although, I'm pretty certain she'll probably live in the TARDIS now." He shut the laptop and got up from the bed. "Umm, breakfast?" he asked.

"Actually, yeah, I'm starving."

John and Citana were now walking to a nearby shop to get something to eat.

"This is insane," said Citana as they walked. "I mean. The other day I woke up in New York 1996, and now I'm here! London 2014!"

John chuckled. "Yeah, it's a bit of a mind fuck at first, but you get used to popping in and out of random times and places."

She gave him a bright smile. "And to think, I could be stripping right now instead," she said casually.

"No one is stopping you," said John. His eyes went wide, realising what he'd just said. "Not…I only meant…."

Citana was cackling now. "You meant to keep that in your head, didn't you?"

John's face was bright red as they entered the shop. "Yes…I mean no! I just meant you can still go about your life and time travel. That's all I meant. I swear."

"You're pretty cute when you get all flustered," said Citana while still laughing.

John couldn't help blush further and smile. He then cleared his throat.

"So, breakfast? Whatever you want."

Citana looked over the menu. "What the hell is avocado toast?"

John chuckled. "It's exactly that. Avocado on toast."

She raised her eyebrows. "I don't really know the conversion from pounds to dollars, but this all seems really expensive!" She was shocked by how much things cost. "8 pounds for a piece of toast? How many dollars would that be?"

"That would be over ten dollars."

"Jesus," she whispered.

"Yeah, inflation is a bitch," he chuckled.

"I'll just take an overpriced coffee and scone then."

"So, 18 years into the future. What do I need to know?" questioned Citana as they made their way back to the flat.

"Good question," answered John. He thought for a moment. "Honestly, not much. Just be good at bullshitting. You'll be fine. That's what I do when I'm not sure what's going on." He paused for a beat. "Which is quite often."

Citana rolled her eyes. "I'll just have to 'goggle' everything myself then, won't I?"

They were back in his room, and Citana opened up his laptop.

"First off, it's 'Google.' And yes, if you want. That's what I did when I first found myself in 2003 after having spent most my life in either Victorian London and then the fucking dark ages."

He thought about the small internet café he'd stumbled upon and chuckled at the memory of when he discovered what sex was. His eyes widened when he realised Citana was about to discover his browser history.

He quickly snatched the computer from her and closed it.

"John, what the fuck? You nearly took my hand off!"

"On second thought, why don't you ask me and then I'll ask the internet gods?"

"Why? I know how to type. I'm from 1996. We do have computers, you know."

"No reason, just…."

She was laughing now.

"What?" he asked.

"I think I know what's going on."

"No. Nothing's going on."

"You told me over breakfast that you could find any and everything on the internet," she raised her brow.

"I…did say that, yes."

"Jesus, John. I'm not stupid. You probably got a bunch of pictures and videos of naked women on your computer," she chuckled. "I'm not going to faint. You do realise what line of work I'm in, right?"

He sighed and reluctantly handed her back the laptop.

"Right. Well, here. All knowledge at your fingertips. Not necessarily accurate, but still. What do you want to know anyway?"

She thought for a moment. "Ooo!" she began to type.

Her face then paled when she read over whatever she'd inquired about.

"What? What is it?" John was beginning to freak out when he realised she was tearing up.

"Oh, god. Citana! What did you look up?"

"It's… it's…they broke up!"

John was confused. "What? Who?"

"Bruce Willis and Demi Moore! They got divorced!"

John rolled his eyes. "God, Citana. What the fuck?" he was laughing now. "I thought it was something serious."

She threw a pillow at him. "This IS serious!" she was trying not to laugh.

"God, they were so good together," she sighed.

John took the laptop from her.

"Hey! What the hell? I'm not done!"

"I think if you're going to have this strong of a reaction to the future, it's best to learn over time rather than risk you having an emotional breakdown after every search."

Before Citana could argue, the Doctor and Clara finally emerged from the TARDIS.

"Ah! There you two are. Fancy an adventure?" said the Doctor with a smile.

Citana stood up quickly. "Yes! Please! John is being an ass right now and won't let me research the bleak futures of all my celebrity crushes," she had a playful smile on her face while John just scoffed.

Clara chuckled. "Well, that's no good! We should leave him behind for being such a bore."

"Hey! I know you're not serious but seriously, Clara. That's not funny."

Clara went up to him and pinched his cheek, to which he swatted her hand away, then laughed.

"Well then!" The Doctor clapped his hands together in excitement. "Where would you like to go, Citana? What would you like to see?"

Citana thought about it. She'd often dreamed about the places she would travel to if she'd had the opportunity to meet the Doctor her nana told her about. Although, then it was usually Disney World or just skip ahead to summer vacation so she wouldn't have to go to school.

"Doctor? Could you pick? I…I can't decide."

Clara put a hand on Citana's shoulder. "I know the feeling," she whispered.

The Doctor smiled. "Alright, you lot, get in the TARDIS! I have just the place."

The gang all entered the TARDIS as the Doctor flailed about the controls and threw them into the time vortex. They landed with a jolt, and Citana was the first to reach the door.

"Where are we?" she asked as the Doctor came to her side.

"Welcome to…" he opened the doors the immediately frowned. "Um, well, NOT where I was going for?" He pulled his sonic out as Clara and John pushed out of the time machine to see where they were.

"Doctor? Where had you planned to take us?" asked Clara, looking around the odd landscape.

"Well, I had planned to take you all to the galaxy's second most beautiful garden."

John scoffed. "Second? Why not first?"

The Doctor sighed. "Because the first is absolute rubbish and the proprietors just bought the title," he grumbled as he smacked the sonic to his palm a few times, trying to get a reading.

Citana looked around. It appeared to be some type of jungle. The air was hot and humid. She could feel herself working up a sweat just standing there.

"Ah! Finally!" exclaimed the Doctor as he read the sonic.

"Where are we then?" asked Clara.

The Doctor looked up at the three faces looking back at him. He swallowed roughly. "Somewhere not good. Get back to the TARDIS. Now."

As if on cue, the familiar sound of the TARDIS dematerialising rang in their ears.

"Now!" yelled the Doctor. He grabbed Clara's hand and dragged her along as John and Citana followed. He managed to get the door open as he pushed Clara inside then followed.

The Doctor ran up to the console. "Okay, so apparently the TARDIS does NOT want to be here just as much as I don't want to be here…."

"Doctor," began Clara.

"And for whatever reason, she's not letting me control her. Seems like she's got somewhere else in mind…."

"Doctor!" shouted Clara. He looked her way and noticed she was trying to open the doors. Then it hit him.

"They're still out there!" shouted Clara.

The Doctor managed to open the doors only to see that the TARDIS had already taken them somewhere else.

"Where are we? Where are they?" cried Clara.

"It looks like the TARDIS just took us into the planet's orbit. I can try and get her to go back for them, but she's going to fight me."

"Well, try! We can't just leave them!"

"I am trying, Clara!" The Doctor was frantically pressing buttons and throwing the lever. The TARDIS was groaning. Refusing to budge from their current spot.

"Where the hell are they anyway?"

The Doctor looked at her with a face of guilt. "Well, apparently, I took us to the wrong garden."

"And?" Clara said in an irritated voice.

"Well, we ended up on the galaxy's first best garden and not the second best. The second-best is actually the first best because the first best is actually the worst because…."

"Goddammit, Doctor, just spit it out!"

"The planet is known for luring unsuspecting species into thinking they're going to see some pretty flowers when in fact the inhabitants ARE the so-called pretty flowers and the lured species are well, for lack of better words, the plant food."

John and Citana were now staring at the spot that the TARDIS had been only moments before.

"Um, okay. So, I'm going to assume that was not supposed to happen," said Citana.

John spoke as he rubbed his neck. "Yes. That…that would be an astute assumption."

A chittering noise came from behind, causing both of them to shiver.

"Aaand I'm going to assume that that is a noise we should probably be wanting to get away from," she added in a whisper.

They both turned to look at each other when they heard the noise again, only louder. John grabbed Citana's hand.

"Yep. Run. Running is good," he said as they began to make their way through the dense foliage.

"He'll come back for us, right?" shouted Citana. They were both in full-on sprint now.

"Oh, yes. I'm sure he will. Let's just hope the TARDIS doesn't keep him away for another ten years!"

"What?" shouted Citana in shock.

"Just…come on!" John once again took Citana's hand. He looked back for a second to check on her.

"John, watch out for that…."

**THUD**

"Tree…" she winced.
