Lee Adama gave the best hugs.

He was waiting for her on the flight deck, as usual, and walked up to her as she descended from her viper, arms outstretched. She melted into them, smiling as they wrapped familiarly around her waist. Her arms automatically took their place around his shoulders and she stood on tiptoe to bury her face in his neck.

He put his lips next to her ear and whispered, "You did good today. Welcome home."

She pulled him a just little closer and dug her face just a little deeper into his neck. No matter where she was in the universe, this was home. Right here in his arms.

He squeezed her - an unconscious signal that their hug was ending - and pulled away. She reluctantly opened her eyes and let her world expand to include the other pilots, mechanics and technicians that were on the deck with them before she let go.

"Hey, Captain," Helo said as he walked past them. "How come you don't hug me when I come back from a mission?"

"Well, Helo, if you were half as pretty as Starbuck, I might think about it." Lee retorted. Laughter erupted around them.

He turned his attention back to Kara. "Let's go. I'm gonna need your report ASAP." He kept a hand on her back as he guided her off the flight deck.

He sat on one side of the table in the senior pilot's bunk room working out the next flight schedule while she sat directly across from him, writing her report.

She put her pen down, kicked off her shoes, and stretched her legs out in front of her, resting her feet on the seat of his chair right between his thighs. He raised an eye to her and she winked at him. A smile played at the corners of his mouth as he went back to his schedule.

"You want to fly with Reilly or Flattop?" He asked without looking up.

"Surprise me."

He nodded and kept writing.

She leaned back, crossed her arms in front of her and watched him work, marveling over how something this mundane could make her feel so stupidly content and happy. His free hand absent-mindedly slipped off the table and started rubbing her feet. She closed her eyes, enjoying his little display of affection.

Schedule completed, he put his pen down and concentrated his attention on massaging her feet.

"You done?" He asked, nodding towards her report.

"I don't know." She nodded towards his hands which had moved up to her calves. "What do I have to say to get you to keep doing that?"

He smiled boyishly and moved to the seat next to her. She put her legs across his lap and he resumed the massage.

"You spoil me, Captain." She cooed.

"Well, you are my best pilot. There should be some perks for that."

"What? No perks for being your wife?"

"Oh, that has special perks. Remind me to show you later." He leaned over and kissed her softly. She raised her hand to play with the hair over his ear.

"What did I do to deserve you?" She asked when the kiss ended.

"You don't deserve me." He replied. "But I asked you to marry me anyway, and you said 'yes', so I guess we're stuck with each other."

"Well, I certainly got the better end of the deal." She dropped her feet to the floor and shifted so she was sitting on his lap, straddling him. She traced her finger around his jaw line then traced the outline of his lips before gazing into his eyes. "You're a beautiful man, Lee Adama. I hope our baby looks just like you."

His eyes went wide and bright. "Baby? You're….?" A huge smile started across his face.

She nodded excitedly.

"Oh, Kara." His arms tightened around her waist, squeezing her against him and he pressed his face into her chest. She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his hair.

Lee Adama gave the best hugs.
