Lima hadn't changed a bit from the last time Kurt had visited. After breakfast, the Hummels were all off to work.

"Let me show you the town," Kurt says. "And if we plan accordingly, we can visit Dad and Finn at the shop around lunch."

The first stop is the Lima Bean. One non-fat mocha and one medium drip later the boys are driving pass McKinley High's parking lot.

"That's your alma mater?"

"Yes, it is. The only room I liked in that building was the choir room."

"Dalton may have been a beautiful building but I still felt like I was all alone but the choir room I was felt like I belonged."

"Exactly how I felt with the New Directions."

Blaine blocked out most of his time in public school but it seems Kurt has held onto all his memories. The good and bad made up the Kurt he had become and will continue to help him grow.

"I know it sucked while you were there but I am happy it made you like this and brought you to me," Blaine tells him.

"Me too."

Kurt fiddles with the radio stations before settling on one he likes best.

"Are you hungry? It's almost noon."

"I could eat."

"There's this great sandwich place across from the only decent restaurant in town, Breadstix."

"Breadstix?" Blaine repeats.

"It's Italian," Kurt explains. "We can get dinner there one night if you want to try it."

"A date in the town that caused you trouble your entire life sounds like awesome payback."

Kurt grabs Blaine's hand keeping his other on the wheel.

"I'd love to take my boyfriend out to eat and show everyone how amazing he is."

Blaine smiles. "So, this sandwich place, can I get a panini?"

It's a short drive to grab lunch. Kurt had called Finn and asked him to place an order for all the workers. Blaine grabs the take out bag while Kurt thanks the women for his and Blaine's paninis. Hummel Tires and Lube was quiet when they arrived.

There's a light on in his father's office so the boys head in there first finding Burt and Finn.

"Lunch!" Kurt declares.

"You're the best!" Finn says, digging through the bag for his order.

Once he's done, Kurt finds Burt's sandwich and takes the rest to the breakroom. The four of them eat in Burt's office clearing the desk of important paperwork.

"Carole's going to be late tonight," Burt says. "We're on our own for dinner."

"I can make something," Kurt offers.

"This is a vacation," Burt replies. "You shouldn't have to cook dinner for all of us."

"It's no problem."

Blaine nods. "I'll help."

"And I'll keep you from using the oven," Kurt teases, knowing Blaine has burnt a lot of food in his time.

"I can make a salad," Blaine laughs.

"If you're sure, Kurt."

"Positive. Blaine and I will head to the store after this and get started. When should we expect you home?"

"6:30 or so."

"Let's get to work," Kurt says, pushing the salad ingredients in front of Blaine. "Make that first and put it directly in the fridge."

Meanwhile, Kurt puts on some music and gets started on a vegan potato curry he knew Rachel loved. Too bad she wouldn't be here tonight to enjoy it. Blaine is cutting tomatoes when Kurt asks him to slide over so he can peel potatoes.

"Can I borrow the peeler for the cucumber when you're done?"

"Absolutely not," Kurt answers.

"Why are you so mean to me?"

"'Cause I can be. You love me."

A Taylor Swift song starts to play and Blaine smiles before he begins to sing.

"I don't think I've seen you this excited about a song before," Kurt chuckles.

"We meet a few weeks ago

Now you try on calling me baby

Like trying on clothes," Blaine sings, moving around the countertop.

Kurt just stares at him, dropping the peeler on the cutting board. "You're crazy."

"And all at once, you're all I want."

"You're the one with reputation on his phone," Blaine replies.

"Like you don't. This is a fantastic album."

Blaine continues to hum the tune under his breath. Naturally, Kurt picks up in the next verse surprising his boyfriend.

"Late in the night, the city's asleep

Your love is a secret I'm hoping, dreaming, dying to keep."

Blaine grabs Kurt's hands and spins him around the kitchen. A big smile on his face infecting Kurt's mouth to grin as well.

"Change my priorities

The taste of your lips is my idea of luxury."

The song continues on but Kurt and Blaine's lips have something more important to do than sing along.

Kurt's never been so thankful to have the house to himself as he presses Blaine against the countertop. His boyfriend squeezes Kurt's hips and draws his body closer. Blaine's hands are reaching to untuck Kurt's shirt and rub the small of his back when it becomes exposed. Meanwhile, Kurt is focusing on kissing Blaine's face and neck until every inch of it has touched his lips.

He can feel Blaine's breath on his ear. "Kurt."

"Mmm…"

This time it comes out like a hum. "Kurt."

Kurt moves his leg between Blaine's and moves a hand down Blaine's body brushing over his groin. "Blaine I can feel you."

"Kurt, please."

"What? Please what, Blaine."

"I want…I want…"

"Do you want me to undress you? Do you want to have sex in this kitchen pressed against the counter?"

Kurt rubs their bodies together and Blaine moans again.

"Kurt we can't have sex here."

"You're absolutely right," Kurt agrees. "We should shut off the stove and have sex upstairs. That bedroom needs christening."

Kurt is able to back away from Blaine and make sure the kitchen won't catch fire if left unattended. When Kurt reaches the stairs, he realizes Blaine hadn't followed him. He peers around the corner and looks into the kitchen.

"Are you coming?"

Blaine blinks as if snapping out of a dream. "Yeah, yeah."

Once in the bedroom, Blaine regains his consciousness. This time he is the one pressing Kurt against something. The door slammed closed when Blaine immediately pressed a body against it and began removing his boyfriend's clothes.

"God, your jeans are tight," Kurt says, attempting to shimmy them down Blaine's legs.

"You're one to talk, Mr. Layers."

"I like a complete outfit."

"And I like how my ass looks in these jeans."

Kurt chuckles. "I think we might be meant to be."

"What gave it away? Our fashion sense or our way of talking fashion as foreplay?"

"Both," Kurt says, kissing Blaine and walking them to the bed.

Kurt's head falls against the pillow as he rolls off of Blaine. There's lots of heavy breathing and nakedness that this bedroom hadn't seen before today.

"Is the room christened now?" Blaine asks, jokingly.

Kurt turns on his side to face him. "Not yet," he says, leaning in for another kiss.

By the time they finish christening Kurt's childhood room, the boys have an hour left to prepare the rest of dinner. Plenty of time, Kurt assures Blaine as they clean each other in the shower but not enough time for round three.

Back downstairs, Blaine takes the salad out of the fridge where Kurt had placed it after turning off the stove and tosses it. Kurt gets back to work on the vegan potato curry and has Blaine start on some other healthy side dishes. When Blaine burns some rice, Kurt assigns him to make lemonade.

When Burt and Finn come in, Kurt has set the table and can hear Finn talking with Blaine in the living room. Everyone comes to the table cleanse from their days and conversation flows effortlessly as if they've been doing this forever. Blaine knows the family who lived in this house together have been doing dinners like this for a long time but it's nice to feel completely included in a family who only just met him.

He places a hand on Kurt's thigh unseen by anyone else. Unlike earlier, it's not because he wants to touch Kurt it's more of a gratefulness to have Kurt. His boyfriend looks up at him expecting Blaine to say something but he doesn't, Blaine only offers a smile.

Kurt is close to telling Blaine that he feels the same way but keeps it to himself for now. There's no way Kurt will blurt out 'I love you' at the dinner table. It's almost as bad as JFK airport.

Soon, Kurt thinks, very soon.
