This is just something that resulted from 4 days of partial depression. There are a few inconsistencies, I know.

Disclaimer: I do not own Fullmetal alchemist. However, I do own this poem. No copying without permission please.

Why do I love you?

There's nothing I can do,

To stop thinking of who you are.

It seems that we are doomed,

The world has changed too soon.

These feelings I have have gone too far.

How do I fell, I don't even know anymore.

I can't even tell what I'm waiting for.

I can't stand that it's not real.

He hates you even more now

Because that night and what he found

But still, he can't tell me what I feel.

I know you love her like the morning loves the rain,

Tell her sorry for all the pain.

And now to you I say good night,

For you see, Ed, this is the hardest thing I've ever had to write…

I love you,

Moddy

Ed read the note and sighed. The room was empty. He put the paper back down on the desk that he had gotten it from. He turned to Lt. Havoc standing in the doorway. "Do you think it was suicide?" Havoc asked, walking over to the bed.

Ed looked down at the desk again. The poem seemed like it could be a suicide note, but… " No… if she had killed herself, she would have left her body here with this…" he gestured to the note. Havoc walked over and picked up the paper.

"It's… It's addressed to you…" Havoc said looking at his college. "You really don't think she killed herself?"

Ed sighed. There was another reason why he thought that the poem was not a suicide note. But he couldn't tell that to Havoc. There were still some things the lieutenant didn't understand. "No, I don't," Ed said. Havoc nodded, and turned to leave. He hesitated, then put down the note.

Ed looked at it as Havoc walked out of the room. He picked it up again. He folded it up and put it in his pocket. He would let Machelle see it. She deserved to see it. He walked to the door and then turned back, holding the doorknob. He surveyed the empty room. He knew what the note was supposed to mean: he would never see Moddy again. For some reason, this made him sad. He had never really liked her. But… she had loved him… and…He had this feeling that the note wasn't what it seemed, that he would see the crazy bitch again…

Ed sighed one more time… He had to be getting back to his wife… he would show her the note. Beyond that, he had no idea what came next. He quietly turned his back, and left the room.
