Gibbs' Cabin - 0530 Hours

She doesn't know how it happened, but she's damn glad it did. She smiled as a muscled arm pulled her against a hairy, hard chest. She felt his nose burrow deeper into her hair, as he placed lazy kisses on her neck. She felt his breathing even out, telling her he was asleep and she soon joined their mutual peace.

She had obtained an invitation to the coveted remote cabin just a day before. So his appearance on her front stoop at 0600, didn't come as a surprise. The coffee he bought for both of them from their beloved dinner, not a surprise. His wardrobe choice of a flannel, nice fitting jeans - in her opinion - and old work boots, not a surprise.

The car flirting and touches that she would classify as braver than his usual touches were a surprise. The open look in his eyes and the almost midnight blue color of them were also a surprise. Then she found her own touches braver than his and before she knew it they were at the cabin.

Oh, but the fun didn't stop there, especially when he came jogging around to her side of the truck, took her hand and lifted her up bridal style to carry her into the belongings be damned. Then they were clawing at each other's clothing. Then they were in bed. Then they were here, in a satisfied haze between sleep and wake.

She snuggled further into his chest, the top of her head resting in the crook of his neck. She took a deep breath, the scent of sweat and Old Spice. He shifted onto his stomach, a sinewy forearm flopped over her chest, pulling her - if possible - closer to his body.

She shivered, the old cabin barely kept in heat, especially since the fire had long since died out. She heard him let out a sleepy sigh, not out of annoyance, but out of contentment as he moved his other arm to the hem of their shared fleece sheets so she could have more of the covers, but she really just wanted him. So scooting over to where she could flip him over, she did so and he let it happen. Grabbing her arm, he shifted her on top of him, pulling the blankets over her, as he settled his head back down on the pillow they were once sharing.

'Better.' He asked, his voice an octave deeper from slumber.

She nodded, nuzzling her cheek against his chest, a slim finger running up and down the long scar too close to his heart for her liking. He kissed her cheek in agreement, laying a hand on her back, lightly tracing the zig-zagged ridges with calloused fingertips as they drafted off together.

She was awoken by the distant sound of a car door. Then there were footsteps on the front stairs of Gibbs' cabin, then there was a flash of sunlight, filling the room. Turning her face towards the wall, so it could hide her face for at least a little while.

'Rise and shine -' Phil Brooks' voice stuttered to a halt as he took in the sight in front of him.

'Why'd ya stop hemingway, is he naked?' Fornell yelled from the doorway.

'Oh damn, he sure as hell is. Who knew the old bastard could actually get it up.'

He most certainly can. She thought, she chuckled when she felt the man groan beneath her, knowing he's been awake since the car doors slammed shut.

'What the hell, she is not a redhead.'

'Good job pointin' out the obvious Tobias.' He retorted.

'Well good morning Jethro, I assume it was a goodnight too.'

Gibbs glared at him.

'So, who's the lucky lady that had to suffer through you?' Fornell asked.

'She is not a lady and she did not suffer.' Jack answered.

Both Phil and Tobias' eyes got wide and mouths dropped down to the floor.

'I go to Florida for a few weeks and this happens! I thought you were lyin'!' Phil exclaimed.

'To be honest, I just thought Leon was egging me on.' Tobias defendedl.

'So you were all in on this, what are we? High Schoolers?' Jack exclaimed, not noticing the instant red tipped ears of her bed companion.

'Well, we did catch you two with your pants down. But we're not disappointed parents, we 're proud friends. Now that we know, we'll get going.' Fornell answered.

'Is that all you wanted, to see if we were-' Gibbs said, cutting his sentence short.

'Gettin down and dirty, knockin boots, devil's tango, horizontal hustle.' Phil threw in.

'Sure.' Jack answered, trying to get them to stop.

'Hey, we have to thank Vance and Grace for piecing together that you two took the same vacation time off.'

'So you two are just the runners?'

'Yep, you two enjoy the rest of your weekend.' Fornell winked, just dodging the flying pillow as the cabin door shut.

'You're friends are ridiculous.' Jack told him.

'My friends? I thought they were our friends.'

'They were your weird friends first, so the blame is all on-' She was cut off by a pillow hitting her in the face.

'Oh, it's on Gunny.'

Tobias and Phil could just hear the surprise shriek as they got in their car, with smiles a mile wide.
