Once Nami returned home, she tossed her shoes to the side and carelessly placed her keys on the kitchen counter to return to her room and take a shower. She looks at herself in the mirror wearing her underwear, messy bed hair, smudged lipstick, and light purple bruises on her shoulders. She had a slight headache, but the sound of the shower running in the background seemed to ease the pain. She slips off her underwear and unclasped her bra to stand under warm steamy water. Nami takes her lavish body wash to wash away all the filth that occurred yesterday.

Going to a club to have "fun", getting into an altercation, and sleeping with a random man afterward. That wasn't like her. That's not something she'd do, but it has already been done. She'd hoped he wouldn't remember her, they both weren't in their right minds. If he happened to know who she is, it could ruin her reputation.

She spent a few more minutes in the shower before running a bath to soak in. The oatmeal and honey soak really made her skin silky soft. "Good thing he didn't release inside me, that would've been bad." She says to herself and sinks into her bath. Closing her eyes to get a few minutes to herself letting her headache go away on its own.

Her phone buzzed like crazy on the bathroom counter. She steps out of the bath she just got into and wraps herself in a robe to answer her phone.

"Hello?"

"Good Morning Boss, I know you're still grieving, but Mr. Arlong is here at headquarters to speak to you. He said 'it's urgent and won't leave until you come." her assistant informs her.

"Thank you, Chiffon. Have a driver wait outside for me in an hour." Nami commands and hangs up.

Nami sighs and looks herself in the mirror, "I'll be damned if he thinks I'm gonna marry him." she balls her fist, before letting go slowly.

Luffy rolls over in bed still half asleep, he feels for the mysterious lady in his bed, but she wasn't there. His eyes shot open and he looked around. "H-hey!" he calls out hoping she'd hear him. "Did she leave?" he thought to himself.

Luffy scoffs, "she just took my virginity and left." he throws the covers off of him and goes to put on his boxers. He looked at the clock on the nightstand, but a golden watch caught his attention. It has diamonds on it too. "This must be worth a lot of money." he weighs the expensive wristwatch in the palm of his hand.

He examines the room for anything else she might've left. He didn't even know how to return it since he knows nothing about her. "Maybe Zoro can help." he talks to himself in the empty room. Luffy takes the sheets and comforter off of the bed and puts them into a nearby laundry basket. He picks his clothes off the floor and throws them in there as well before heading to his bathroom to wash up.

Inside a small cafe, sitting at a window seat. Luffy stirs around his coffee with a half-eaten croissant on the plate next to him. Zoro crosses his arm waiting for him to say something, "You called to meet me here, but you're not saying anything. Don't you have fires to put out and people to save?"

"No, today's my day off."

"Okay, so what's the problem? I got to head to work in a few." Zoro looks down at his wristwatch.

Seeing Zoro look at his wristwatch caused Luffy to perk up in his seat, "The wristwatch!" he says aloud. Causing some people to look at him and whisper.

"Ah sorry, sorry." Luffy apologizes to the on-looking audience and they went back to mind their own business.

"What's gotten into you?" Zoro raises a brow.

Luffy leans over to whisper, "remember what happened yesterday at the club? Well, that morning I went home with the red-haired woman."

Zoro leans over and smiles, "so you telling me you lost your virginity?"

"Yes, but that's not all, we don't know each other and-" Luffy looks around the cafe which made Zoro mimic him and look around as well, Luffy leans back in, "she left a golden wristwatch with diamonds in it."

Zoro leans back in his seat and closes his eyes. "So, you lost your virginity and hit the jackpot in one night? Seems like you have the devil's luck. Why are you telling me this? You should be cashing that shit in and swimming in money."

"I'm telling you this because I want you to find out about her so I can return it."

A teen girl passes by with a rolled-up magazine with Nami on the cover. Luffy and Zoro didn't seem to notice.

"Nah, I don't think you should. She'll probably ruin your life. She saw where you live, she left a pricey item at your place, your fingerprints are now on the watch, she'll make it seem like you stole it."

"Hey! What's wrong with where I live?" Luffy raises his brow.

"High crime happens in your area and your apartment isn't the most decent looking. I mean for a firefighter you're pretty poor."

"I'm working on getting a promotion. Listen, we're not here to talk about me, this is about her and her-" Luffy looks around again making sure nobody is eavesdropping on their conversation, "wristwatch."

"Where'd you leave it?" Zoro questions.

"I have it with me, I wouldn't leave it back at my place because of the-"

"High crime rates." They say at the same time. Luffy rolls his eyes, "do you remember anything about her from last night?"

"She looked rich and had ridden around in a limo," Zoro answers him sarcastically. "Luffy you can solve this shit by yourself, why do you need my help? Just use the internet. If she was at the club yesterday I'm sure she'd have articles written about her."

"I would, but my phone is off."

Zoro looks at him with an annoyed look, and gets up from his seat, "I gotta get to work, there's free internet here." Zoro gets his jacket from off his chair and leaves the cafe. Luffy watches him from inside, climbing into a nearby taxi.

The same girl with the rolled-up magazine left the cafe, again, Luffy not noticing. He pulls out his phone which was on five percent since he forgot to put it on charge last night. He thanked the Heavens he has an android because his battery lasted quite a long time even if it's on its last percent. "ginger-haired celebrities females." he types into his search bar.

A list of female celebrities with orange hair pictures came up after he pressed search. Thankfully, the first picture he saw was of the woman he was with last night. He taps onto her photo and reads the name to himself. "Nami." she looked really gorgeous in this photo.

He types her name into the search bar and reads up the quick biography that was written about her. "She's a fashion model." "New CEO of Graced By Belle." "Twenty-eight years old." Luffy reads off the things written about her then clicks on an article above written two hours ago.

"Hey, that's me." He zooms in on the photo of him standing in line with Zoro in the background of the two sisters walking arm in arm in the club. The article title read, "Fashionistas Nami and Nojiko parties in club PunkHazard after the burial of their mother Belle-mère." Luffy taps out of the article and goes back to looking at photos of her, he looked at photos of her with and without makeup, he preferred her without makeup, but she still looked beautiful nonetheless. Just as Luffy was about to click onto another photo his phone dies, battering him out of trance.

"Shit!" he curses and shoves his phone into his pocket. He finishes his now cooled coffee and leaves the cafe to catch a cab to Graced By Belle headquarters.

Nami sits across from Arlong in the conference room on the floor below her new office. It was only them two. He had an obvious length to his nose, long black hair that fell onto his back, a menacing grin on his face, and narrow eyes that pinned Nami to her seat.

"You know, even after the death of your mother, you still manage to look as beautiful as ever. You have my condolences." His menacing grin turns into a smirk.

"...what's this shit about marriage? You came here to talk, but I don't have much to say to you, other than the fact that I'm not marrying you." Nami gave him an emotionless stare, her arms and legs crossed. She didn't care what he had to say, he is her ex after all.

"Oh come on, we were close to marrying before, why not now?"

"Oh I don't know, remember when you used me in college to get ahead in life and became a competition for my mother's business. Now, you're here asking for marriage to use me again?!" Nami scoffs. "You're unbelievable." She closes her eyes, not wanting to see the stupid smile on his face.

"That was the past, what we had just could've lasted if you hadn't looked at it that way." Arlong gets up from his end of the table. He walks to the window to look at other sky-high buildings, folding his arms behind him.

"What other way would I-" Nami grew angry. She stops once she sees him look at her out the corner of his eye.

"I'm not finished. If you had given me time, I could've proposed to you in three months. That's all it took for me to make my first million. But no, you broke my heart by breaking up with me. You painted this picture of me in your head that I was some scumbag, only dating you to add status to my own name."

Nami anger decreases, "Sadly, you wouldn't take me back, but that didn't mean I'd stop loving you. I ensure your safety by having my people watch over you from the shadows. So I can sleep soundly at night. You don't seem to have bodyguards and you're pretty wealthy, it makes it easy for people to steal from you."

Nami stares at his back, her heart softens by hearing him do these things behind her back to make sure she was safe. "Why were your men at the club yesterday?" she asks him.

"To make sure you hadn't done anything stupid, but it's too late. There's already an article out about you and your sister having a good time after you buried your mother. It's gonna look bad for you and the company."

"Wha-"

"Here." He walks over and hands her a tablet with the article already pulled up. Nami uses her middle finger to scroll down to read the written and published article about her and Nojiko. "I figured you'd already known about it and that's why you agreed to meet with me today. Asking me for help to get the article taken down. You know I'd do anything for my people."

"I don't need your help, I have money and power of my own." Nami puts the tablet on the table and stands up from her seat. Arlong stares her down, then smirks, he puts a hand on her shoulder forcing her to sit back in her seat. "You say that, but it doesn't change the fact that you still came here."

"I was told you wouldn't leave until I came."

"That is true, but you could have contacted the police to have me and my men removed from the premises. But, you didn't. We both know I have a special bond with the police department. My generous donations gave them all a raise in their salary." he brags to her.

"I know you're a stubborn man, so I came face to face to tell you. I will never get involved with you again. Not by merging and certainly not by marriage."

"Oh, but you certainly wouldn't want to do that, not after your mother signed the contract with me, in the will she wrote for you and your sister to obtain the company and all her assets along with it and by obtaining that will, you'll have to marry me and merge our companies. If you fail to do so, then you have no choice but to hand your dying company over to me."

"Dying? What do you mean Grace By Belle is dying?"

"It's not looking so hot right now, there hasn't been a new collection out in years, people are shifting their focus to the Amazon Lily, a new hot all-female clothing brand that is surprisingly surpassing both our companies. If we can solidify this merge, we can be the top brands in the world. Your mother always wanted to be the biggest and best correct?"

"I can become the top company without your help, I can start designing my own collection today."

Arlong slams his fist onto the table, startling Nami. "Listen, you don't seem to understand what kind of situation you're in. I own this company and I also own you. However, your mother was so kind to grace you with a time period of three months for you to put out three brand new clothing collections and have fashion shows for each before the time period ends. If you don't succeed you and your company will belong to me. I reckon you just forget about that part and merge with me already, I'm itching to see the face of Boa Handcock when our company shoots past hers in as little as two weeks. I always have a plan, unlike you. You tend to like working underneath other people, you like being sheltered."

"I'll do it." Nami stands up again and furrows her brows at him. "You don't seem to believe in me at all, too bad I don't care for your approval. I'm going to come out with three HIGH selling collections and have the three BIGGEST fashion shows broadcasted ALL over the world. YOU'RE going to be the one begging ME to merge with you then. My mother didn't leave this task for me just to have the company handed over to you. She knows what I'm capable of, she's given me a reason to push myself, to show my potential to the world!" Nami eyes widen and she returns the menacing smile Arlong gave her earlier. "Get ready Arlong, I hope you're ready for what's about to come. You don't want me to put up a fight, but I'll give you one."

Arlong was creeped out by the determination in her eyes and the confidence in her face, it made him sick. But of course, he would never admit that. "If that's all you have to say, then I'll look forward to this collection you speak so highly of. Don't think you won't have any competition on the way. I'm already and always will be three steps ahead of you." he leans off the table and walks towards the door. "Your driver is here, as your competition and…..future spouse, I'll do the honors of walking you out."

Nami didn't answer him, she walked out the door he opened for her, her dark green double-breasted blazer dress and white heels ensemble made her workers gawk at her in astonishment. The power she held made them all feel like commoners in the court of their queen. She smiles at them holding her head high and a confident smile on her face.

She rode the elevator with Arlong, he made small talk and convinced her to have brunch with him at the Baratie. Once they got to the lobby of Grace By Belle headquarters, her car awaits the two of them outside. Nami stops at the front desk where her receptionist works. "Take a note for me," she instructs, Nami watches as the receptionist takes out a paper and pen. "Tell Nojiko I'll be back in about two hours and let Chiffon know to set up some of my old sketches in my office for when I come back. Thanks."

Nami smiles at her receptionist before heading to her awaited car. Once she got outside, the breeze blew softly against her bare legs, making her look up at the sky, it was about to rain. Arlong sneakily put an arm around her squeezing her shoulder lightly. "Smile, you're on camera," he says through his gritted teeth smiling at the paparazzi.

Nami looks around to see camera shutters going off like crazy, she doesn't bother to smile and opens the car door herself to get inside. Arlong's smile fades slowly and he enters the car after her. "You know, you'd want to get on the press good side after that article was published." The car takes off slowly. Nami didn't say anything, she looked out the window and gasped, she couldn't believe her eyes.

Luffy was across the street, a couple of buildings away from Graced By Belle. He hoped she'd be inside the building so he could see her and give her back her watch. He wouldn't want to hold onto it any longer, he didn't know much of her as a person, but she has money and people who have money are the most dangerous.

He crosses the street to get across, to walk the same strip Grace By Belle. Finally approaching the building, he was stopped by security.

"Do you work here?" He asks Luffy.

"No, but-"

"Then you have no business here. Have a nice day."

"I need to see Nami. I have to talk with her."

"You and millions of other fans, listen, you don't just walk up to the headquarters and demand to see the CEO. It's best you can just mail her a letter."

"How long will it be until she reads mine?"

"Pfft, I dunno, hopeless men like you hold onto the little hope you all have that she'd accept one of your marriage proposals." the security laughs.

"Can I leave a note with you?" Luffy asks.

"No, but, you can add your name to the list of persons who want to tour the building. Who knows, maybe you'll be lucky enough to see her if she's at work that day." the security chuckles again.

"Look man stop messing with me, give me a pen and paper." Luffy grew irritated at the middle-aged man's laugh.

"Woah, Woah, look buddy I already told you it's a no. Don't make me have to call the police and have them remove you from the premises."

Luffy shoves his hands in his pockets. "Is she in there or did she step out?"

"She just left a minute before you came over here."

"Damn it! I JUST missed her." Luffy holds the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Look, why don't you just come back, I'm sure you have something better to do than wait out here for her to return."

"No, I AM gonna wait." Luffy walks away from the entrance clearly upset to the side of the building to sit down in the shade.

The security looks over to see him getting comfortable on the ground. "He's crazy." the security says to himself.

"This brings back memories. Don't you agree?" Arlong smiles at her and takes a sip of his wine.

"I thought you would've quit day drinking. Old habits die hard huh?" Nami glances over the menu looking for something light to eat. She is a model after all.

"Ah, I see you even remember the smallest things about me." Nami grips her menu. "I know you couldn't forget about what we had. You try so hard to put up a front that you loathe me, but you loathe yourself even more for trying to fight your feelings for me. Why else would you agree to have me take you out to brunch?"

"You know the saying…..make his pockets hurt." Nami looks at him smugly.

Arlong scowls at her satisfaction. The waiter comes over and takes their order. "I'd like to have three of the most expensive dishes on the menu, please….Arlong, what'll you be ordering?" she smirks in satisfaction.

"Nothing...I've lost my appetite."

"Oh, can you please package them all in to-go bags for me?"

"Yes ma'am." the waiter takes their menus.

"Lost your appetite huh? That's too bad, I can't serve victory on an empty stomach."

"I must say, this new confident facade you're putting on is turning me on. I love a confident bitch."

"If you "love" me so much, the last word wouldn't even have come to your mind." Nami sits upright and crosses her arms.

"You're right, where are my manners? I meant to say...my love." He takes another sip of his wine.

Nami froze hearing him say 'my love' he hadn't called her that since she broke up with him. She looks at him nervously, "don't call me that either." she says softly.

"Hm..your wish is my command."

Once the food came out Nami exchanged a look with Arlong before leaving Baratie. She wasn't going to sit with someone who just made her uncomfortable. He needed to know his boundaries. Luckily, her driver waited outside, she got into the car, after her driver opened the door for her.

"Where to now madam?"

"Take me back to headquarters please."

"And what about sir Arlong?"

"He'll find a ride of his own."

"Yes ma'am."

The driver starts the car and she was on her way back to Grace By Belle. Leaving Arlong inside to finish his wine. He smirked in satisfaction. He managed to strike a nerve. "Arlong sir she just left." his bodyguard informs.

"Then follow her," he instructs.

Exactly an hour later a sleek black Maserati pulls up to the front of Grace By Belle, Luffy got off of his sore bum and wobbled on over to see Nami. "Oi! Nami!" she looks at him and gasps in shock. "Y-you, y-your here." He says grinning at her excitedly.

"He sat out here waiting for your return ma'am, I didn't call the police because he didn't seem like a threat."

Nami looked at the man who she treated yesterday, he was definitely here for her to pay him to keep quiet about the whole thing. "I thought I imagined him being there." She thought to herself, she looks around to see if any paparazzi were around. "Security, have him enter through the back," she instructs.

"No, sorry I don't have the time for an autograph." She holds her head high and walks inside.

Confused by her actions Luffy is pushed by the security guard to the side of the building where another security guard stood guard. "Boss ordered for me to let him in this way."

The other security guard nods and lets Luffy in.

Nami meets Luffy at the back door entrance, "follow me."

"Wait-"

"Be quiet and just follow me." she cuts him off and walks towards her private elevator, holding it open for him.

Once they got in the elevator. Luffy's mouth went dry, he completely forgot why he came or what he had to tell her. They never saw each other in broad daylight. She was even more gorgeous in person. He was confused as to why she wasn't saying anything.

The elevator came to a stop and he followed her down this beautiful hallway. She opens the door to her office where she spends most of her time. "Have a seat. I know what you're here to talk about."

Luffy marvels at the view and has a seat opposite her desk. Nami places the food she ordered at the Baratie on a tray over at a table on the other side of her office. "How much do you want?" She takes her heels off and slips on her office flats.

"What do you mean?"

"Money. How much money do I have to pay you to keep quiet?"

"Quiet about what?"

Nami sighs and rolls her eyes, leaning back in her chair. "Listen, I know that you know I'm wealthy. I'm not stupid, you're obviously here for something and it's money right?"

"Actually, you left something at my place, it seemed like you were in a rush and you left it behind." Luffy takes out the wristwatch she had left on his nightstand.

Nami quickly leans over to retrieve the item. She was surprised she had forgotten such a priceless item behind. How could she have not realized?! "Oh, thank you so much. I c-can't believe I left it behind like that."

"Maybe if you stuck around…..we could've gone for breakfast or something." Luffy rubs the back of his head, looking away. "I mean or not…..I don't know what people normally do after sex, last night was my first time."

Nami points to herself, "I was your first?" Luffy nods. She was speechless, she didn't know what to say.

"It was...good. It all happened so fast but, we both were caught up in the moment right?" He chuckles, hoping to relieve the awkward tension in the room. Nami's face glows red, she remembers her legs wobbling as she got out of bed and the light purple bruises on her hidden underneath her clothes.

"Did...y-you like it?" He asks her. "Normally people who pull a one-night stand leave because their partner was awful or something like that."

"No, no, no you were great. I just had a business meeting to get ready for."

"So you're saying you would've stayed?" Luffy smirks cheekily.

Nami takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. "Maybe."

"Well then….since you offered to compensate for the one-night stand you pulled, I assumed you weren't expecting to see me again, your surprised face told me down at the entrance."

"Y-yes, I wasn't expecting you….not here at least."

"I'm a pretty stubborn go-getter,...say, not only did I bring you back your possession and waited on my ass for an hour. Let's grab dinner some time."

"Like a date?"

"Dinner date, lunch date, or breakfast date. Doesn't matter to me. Here." Luffy gets a stray pen and writes it down on a piece of paper. "Call me." He says before getting up to head for the door.

"Wait!" Nami calls after him.

"Yes?"

"What's your name?"

He grins at her, "Monkey D. Luffy."
