It'd been quite some hours since Izuku left Musu village as the sun was beginning to set, and so far, the trip to his destination was uneventful. To him, that wasn't a bad thing as he got to experience the blissful sounds and scenery of nature at other parts of Patch. If you ask him though, that's mostly what Patch is.

"Hmm... If I'm locking down my current position correctly, I should arrive in just about... huh, soon actually." Said Izuku, looking down at the small map of Patch in his hands while travelling along a wide dirt road. "As long as I stick to this path, I'll be there in no time. Great! Thank Oum that Patch isn't too big of an island. If it was any larger, I'd probably have to camp out a night." Shaking his head, Izuku folded the map before carefully slipping it back into the box on his back.

A tad hungry, he reached into the burlap sac he carried with him and pulled out his last snack; An apple. "Lucky me." He tossed the apple up once before taking a bite. He hummed in delight as it crunched, the juicy treat hitting his taste buds just right. "As always, your crops fail miserably to disappoint, Mr. Aizawa. My thanks to you again." He muttered, finishing his apple with haste.

Energized by his snack, Izuku's pace picked up as he transitioned into a light jog. "Nothing like a good jog to get you to places faster, right?" With that, he carried on his merry way, the sun minutes away from disappearing over the horizon to let the shattered moon shine.

Twenty minutes later... At the Xiao Long residence..

"It's really getting dark out..." Said a worried Tai Xiao Long as he stood outside in the arriving darkness, scratching his head as his rather large wooden home stood some feet behind him. "Crap... I really hope this kid didn't get lost. Inko would seriously never forgive me if he did. Hell, I'd never forgive me! But, he shouldn't be lost. I triple checked to make sure I marked the path on the map correctly before sending it to Hisashi. And Izuku's a smart kid, so he couldn't have veered off it." Tai facepalmed as his worry only increased with time. "Damn it, and it's too late to start second guessing this whole arrangeme-"

"Mr. Xiao Long?"

With a girlish scream, Tai jumped when someone called him out of the blue, startled by the new arrival before him.

Izuku blinked, staring at Tai in shock.

"Wha... W-Where the heck did you come from, kid?" Tai looked around in utter confusion as he didn't even hear Izuku approach.

"The... road?" Izuku replied, pointing to the dirt road behind him.

"The road? But, I didn't hear you come up." Tai exclaimed.

"I'm... a silent runner..?" Izuku awkwardly responded, deciding not to bring up that Tai may have just been too distracted to notice him. As he did see the man pacing and muttering to himself as he came up. "Er, Regardless, my apologies for startling you, Mr. Xiao Long. It wasn't my intention." He bowed respectfully.

"A silent ru-Y-You know what, it's cool!" Tai composed himself, holding no grudge against Izuku. "I'm just glad you made it before I'd have to go out looking for you. Had me worrying up a storm here."

"Uh... Y-Yes. Apologies again, for my lateness this time. I may have gotten a bit sidetracked with some sights during my trip. So, the fault is all mine. I assure you, the map you gave my Father was a big help." Said Izuku, his face flushed at admitting his faults.

"Good to know." Tai smirked, now taking a good look at the young man before him. "...Wow.."

"What is it?" Izuku tilted his head, wondering what had Tai so amazed all of a sudden.

"Nothing, it's just... You're definitely Inko's kid. Now that I'm looking at you up close, and in person, I'm sure of it." Tai smiled fondly, the face of one of his best/oldest friends flashing through his mind. AKA, Izuku's mother.

Izuku smiled back in response, letting Tai have his moment of pleasant remembrance. He always did appreciate being compared to his mother, especially in appearance.

Once done, Tai shook back to reality before leading Izuku to his home. "Come on, let's get out of this chilly air, huh? For tonight, mi casa es su casa. And seeing as you've been walking all day, I bet you haven't had a proper meal yet."

"If you don't consider bread and apples a proper meal. Then no, I haven't." Izuku replied, already enjoying the man's hospitality.

"Eh, they're appetizers at best." Tai dismissively waved. "Now, as for your real meal, your father mentioned that you're a pretty big fan of Katsudon?"

Izuku beamed at the mention of his favorite food.

Approaching a closed door on the second floor of the cabin, Tai opened said door to reveal a plain, but spacious room with two windows. A single well made bed and a small dresser being all that occupied it.

"Here's the room you'll be staying in." Tai said as he stood by the door, allowing Izuku to walk in and see the room for himself. "Pretty empty, yes. But, y'know, guest rooms and such. Besides, since you're only here for one night, I figured you wouldn't mind it."

Izuku smiled as he finished admiring the room's tidiness, taking his 'luggage' off his back before placing it on the bed. "The room is perfect, Mr. Xiao Long. Thank you."

"Glad you think so." Tai grinned. "Well, go ahead and take your time getting comfortable. I'll head downstairs and get to cookin' up that Katsudon. Feel free to join me whenever you're ready. I'd actually like to get to know you a bit while we have the chance, if that's okay with you?"

Izuku gave no protest. "It's no problem. Actually, I've been curious to know about you as well. So, the feeling is mutual."

"Well, alright then." Tai nodded with a satisfied smirk, turning to head downstairs. "In that case, I'll see you in a bit." With that, he left Izuku to his devices, his steps away getting distant overtime.

Now by his lonesome, Izuku took another scan of the room, nodding in content as it truly felt homey. Shame he's only using it for one night. Afterwards, he turned to the black box he'd been carrying all day, slowly running his fingers over its smooth surface. "Two nights can't pass fast enough.." He whispered. He then looked to his hands after raising them in front of him, his sleeves falling to expose the glowing rings on his forearms. "Soon, we'll get to show the world what we can do together... Show everyone the protection and hope we can provide like those before me... And we will make Mother proud." With a smile, Izuku closed his eyes and took a deep breath, the rings' glow intensifying with it. 'If it's the last thing I do..'

He remained in this state for a good few minutes, and once done, he hid the rings back under his sleeves. With nothing much else to do, he left the room to regroup with Tai.

In the kitchen/dining room, Tai was just finishing up heating the Katsudon he had made for Izuku an hour prior to his arrival, having intentionally lead the boy to believe that he's just starting on it now. "It may not be fresh off the pan, but it's close enough. Plus, it's his fault for not being on time. So, he can't blame me if he complains." Tai spoke to himself, carefully putting the meal together on a plate over the dining table.

When done, he returned to the kitchen to get the sink ready for a load of dishes, hearing Izuku step in as he plugged the drain when the water was the right temperature, pouring in a bit of dish soap before mixing it.

"I have to say, you have a very lovely home here, Mr. Xiao Long." Izuku complimented, stopping by the dinner table as he noticed the tasty looking Katsudon.

"Hey, thanks, kid!" Tai chirped. "Yeah, I try my best to keep the place in tip top shape." He smiled as he turned to face Izuku, wiping his hands dry as he leaned against the kitchen counter. "When you've been a single father with two energetic daughters for as long as I have, you come to learn that maintaining a sparkling clean house is vital to your everyday life. You'll just go insane without it." He chuckled as he dropped the rag beside him on the counter, crossing his arms.

"Well, I'd say you're doing a fantastic job at it, sir." Izuku replied politely.

"Ah, you can cut the sir stuff right there, Izuku. Just call me Tai." Tai casually said. "In this house, we're not big on formalities, especially among friends and family. So it really isn't necessary. I appreciate your manners though. It shows you were raised well."

"Wait, you... consider me a friend? A-Already?" Bewildered, Izuku asked, confused as he hadn't expected to earn such a level of trust so soon.

"Well... yeah." Tai shrugged. "You're the child of two of my closest friends, Izuku. And I trust you just as much as I do them. Sure, you can argue that we haven't known each other long enough to build up that kind of bond. But, when I first saw you... I truly did see a lot of your parents in you, your mom especially. And to me, that's more than enough to excuse myself from being stern with you. Besides, considering how close I was with your mother, I'm basically your uncle. An estranged one, for sure, but an uncle nonetheless."

"My uncle, huh?" Izuku hummed in thought, as the idea of the man being his uncle actually sounded... interesting, like the very thought of having such a 'relative' was foreign to him. Which, it was. His entire life, he never really had anyone who could fulfill such a role. In his village, his family were more or less treated like royalty. Not that they were, as the people just respected the Midoriya family and their legacy that much. Now, when growing up surrounded by all that, he's only ever had a mother, a father and a sister. Nothing else.

So ultimately, Izuku welcomed the idea, smiling brightly as he looked back to Tai. "In that case, should I just go ahead and call you... Uncle Tai?"

"By all means, knock yourself out... Nephew." Tai grinned, pushing off the counter before loading some used dishes into the sink, turning off the tap as the sink was full enough.

'Uncle Tai. That sounds nice.' Izuku thought.

"Nice touch with adding my name in there, makes sense to do it seeing as I'm not your only Uncle." Tai said cryptically, taking a washcloth as he begun to clean the dishes.

"What do you mean?" Izuku's head tilted.

Tai scoffed at the boy's cluelessness, shaking his head as he piled dish after dish onto a drying rack. "Hisashi really didn't tell you much about your mom's social life, huh? Heh, I guess that leaves me to do it then. Well, kid, long story short, your mom made a lot of good friends all around Remnant during her career as a huntress, friends that were just as close to her as I was, if not more so. So, don't be surprised when you eventually run into people who are your other 'uncles'. Oh, and aunties, too, of course. As for who exactly they are... I'll leave that for you to find out." He smirked. "By the way, you can sit down and eat whenever. That food on the table's yours." He nonchalantly reminded.

Silently processing the info that was dumped on him, Izuku slowly pulled out the chair right next to him before sitting down. "Wow..." He breathed out after a good minute. "My mother's more popular than I thought.. I mean, I knew she was plenty popular already, don't get me wrong, but I... I didn't think she had so many friends. Then again," He stifled awkwardly. "I suppose that's on me for not asking the right questions growing up. I've been so focused on my training all these years that I never bothered to ask much about her life outside the village. All I was interested in learning were the missions she went on, and... that's it.." Izuku looked down at his meal with an expression of guilt, suddenly feeling like a horrible son for not knowing more about his mother's past.

"Mhm, Inko was quite the socialite back in the day." Tai spoke, smiling fondly as he kept on with his dish washing. "Honestly, it was hard for anyone to hate the woman. She was just so... likeable, y'know?"

Seeing a golden opportunity to learn more about his mother's past, Izuku perked up and glanced at Tai curiously, gathering his bearings before picking up the fork beside his plate. "Is that so? What exactly made her so likeable back then?" He asked, taking careful bites out of his food.

"Now, that's a silly question, don't you think?" Tai responded as he shot Izuku a confused glance. "Come on, kid. You should know your mom better than anyone. Trust me when I say that Inko has always been the person you've known her as; Sweet, caring, smart, patient, wise, strong as all hell, and not to mention beautiful... I could go on, but let's face it, we'd be here all night if I did that." He joked, keeping the list 'short'. "But, yeah, Inko was pretty famous even back in our Beacon days just for being... well, herself. And boy, don't even get me started on all the people who developed a crush on her. Seriously, there was just too freakin' many to count!"

"Cr-Crush?" Izuku said uncomfortably after nearly choking on his food. He would've told Tai to drop the subject there, but given his commitment to learn about his mother, he managed to refrain as he gulped down some of his nervousness.

"Yup! Your mom was popular in more ways than one, my boy. Gosh, you should've seen all the hearts she broke whenever she'd reject confessions. It was... ugly." Tai cringed, shaking his head before carrying on. "As I'm sure you know, your parents were already together and married at the time. So, obviously, Inko wasn't looking to find a boyfriend when she had a husband already. Then one day, she decided to rip off the band-aid and annouce to the whole school that she was spoken for, even going the extra mile by showing off her wedding band. She didn't wanna do it seeing as it's her business, but at that point, she felt compelled to. I've never seen so many jaws drop at once. It was actually kind of hilarious." He stifled. "Loyal, that's another great thing your Mom was, kid. Despite being in a long distance relationship for a time, Inko attending Beacon while your father remained in Musu, they made it work and not once did she attempt to betray the love she had for your dad, nor did Hisashi. Not a day went by where she didn't write a letter out to Hisashi, telling him about her day and wanting to know about his. That was part of her daily routine for the majority of four years. Can you believe that? Oum, that's true love if I've ever seen it. The only times they'd get to see each other were during the breaks, and even those felt very short."

Izuku smiled softly as he's well aware of the latest knowledge, the history of his parents' unbreakable love being a romantic tale he'd heard before from his father. Due to his training, he never got to experience such a thing for himself. However, he was open to the idea. He just... never gave himself the time of day. "You're not wrong, what they had, was indeed true love." Said Izuku tenderly. "Before she passed, whenever Mother would return home from a long mission, the first thing she did after giving me and my sister a big hug, was give Father a kiss to last a lifetime. Everytime." He chuckled. "Whenever they were together, it was all just laughs, love and smiles. I can't recall a time they ever argued. Father knew how dangerous Mother's duty as a huntress can be, yet, he always supported her because he also knew just how passionate she was. He always had concerns, but he knew a losing argument when he saw one. So, even if he tried, he couldn't stop Mother from fulfilling her duties, even the optional ones. She was... dedicated like that.."

"She was." Tai concurred. "That's one of the reasons why your mom was the best of our generation, kiddo." Tai said gently, wiping his hands dry as he approached the table and sat across from Izuku, looking him dead in the eyes. "She was, in every sense of the word, a hero. She lived her life as one... and died as one. Knowing her, she wouldn't have gone out any other way. You know that, right?"

"Don't worry, Uncle Tai. I do." Izuku calmly assured. "While I do miss her dearly every single day, I'd never do or say anything that would dishonor her memory, or her sacrifice. Neither would my family."

"Good.." Tai said with a pleased smile. "Just needed to be sure. Can't be having you disrespect your mother, after all. Not you." He teased.

"Like I said, I'd never." Izuku chuckled, Tai doing the same.

Afterwards, a pleasant silence went by before Tai spoke up again, having something on his mind. "Say, Izuku?"

"Yes?" Izuku perked up.

"If it isn't too much to ask, can you maybe... show me the rings?" Tai requested, flashing a hopeful grin.

Not one to disappoint, Izuku immediately complied as he lifted his sleeves, raising his arms over the table. "Of course."

"Damn.." Impressed, Tai huffed at the glowing discs attached to Izuku's toned forearms, nodding in approval as his gaze gave them a thorough look over. "You wear them just as good as Inko did, my man. God, I can't wait to see them in action again. It's been too long."

"I could show you what I can do with them right now, if you'd like? It'd be no problem." Izuku suggested.

"Nah," Tai casually denied, waving the idea off as he leaned in his seat. "There's no need to show me right now. When I said I wanted to see them in action, I meant I wanna see them in action." He hinted, raising a brow as he hoped Izuku caught on.

At first, Izuku blinked in confusion, a few seconds going by before Tai's meaning hit him. "Oooh, that's what you mean.." Flustered, Izuku scoffed as he scratched his head before lowering his sleeves.

Tai snickered at the boy's reaction. "Look, I don't doubt that you have plenty of talent with the rings, kid. I'd just rather see it while you're kicking butt during the next Vytal Festival. And if you've trained as hard as you said you did, then I'm expecting plenty of spectacles." He smirked.

"The Vytal Festival..? Oh, you mean the event that happens at one of the kingdoms every two years to celebrate the end of The Great War?" Izuku asked.

"Bingo." Tai confirmed with a snap. "While the Vytal Festival is known for its events that celebrate the unity of the Kingdoms, the one event that people are usually most excited for is the combat tournament."

"Combat tournament?" Was Izuku's surprised response.

"Mhm." Tai nodded. "It's a tournament that pits teams from every huntsman academy against each other in a series of competitive duels. None of which are to the death, obviously, but it does give the students a chance to show the world what they can do. And that's exactly what I'm hoping to see from you when it comes around. After all, before they graduated, your mom and her team were the winners of two of those tournaments."

Initially after hearing that, Izuku gazed at the man in awe, tempted to follow up on the topic of his mother's victories, as well as her team. However, before he could, he suddenly looked down in deep thought, almost as if... a long forgotten memory had resurfaced after hearing the news. Then, he gasped in realization. "Wait... I think I remember my mother telling me a story about a time she fought in a tournament.. Yes, that's right! It's been so long since she told me that I completely forgot about it until now. I suppose given what I know now, it was the Vytal Festival tournament. It was during her first one, I believe. Yes, she... she didn't tell me her whole experience with it, but she did tell me about a certain match that really stuck with her. A match against someone named... Ooh, what was her name again..? It was a woman, I know that. Her name started with an S? If I'm remembering correctly. Sue... Sun.."

"..Summer..."

"That's it!" Izuku exclaimed with a grin, pointing at Tai for his correct guess. "Yes, her name was Summer... R-Rose.." Unfortunately, Izuku's excitement was short-lived, as upon seeing the sad look that was suddenly on his uncle's face, a mixture of confusion and concern appeared on his. "U-Uncle Tai? Are you okay? Did I... say something wrong?" He asked in a worried tone. "I-I'm sorry if I did, I didn't mean t-"

"Nah, it's cool, Izuku. Don't stress." Tai interjected before Izuku got too worked up, smiling weakly when he got him to settle a bit. "It's just that..." He sighed. "I know the match that you're referring to. But, most of all, I know the woman your mother had faced off against. All too well.. Summer Rose was indeed her name. And not only were me and her apart of the same team back when we were in Beacon, but she was also my... m-my wife..." Izuku's eyes slowly widened in shock at that, and his surprise would only grow with this next bit of info. "And mother to my daughter, Ruby.."

Izuku gulped as their was one detail he didn't reveal yet, and it had to do with... the time he was told the story. "I... I'm so sorry.. M-Mother never mentioned that... When she told me the story, it was during a time of heartache for her as Summer had..." Izuku tensed as he couldn't bring himself to finish, looking down as guilt had returned to torment him.

"Died? I know, kiddo.." Tai quietly finished for him, fighting back tears as he leaned forward to rest his arms on the table. "Considering how tight the bond between Summer and Inko was, I can only imagine how torn up she was. If she ended up anything like me at the time, she was a total wreck.. I doubt that though, she had too strong a heart for that to happen."

"..Just how close were they?" Izuku asked hesitantly. "From what I can remember, Mother was absolutely devastated." He frowned. "She had only a couple of weeks to grieve before she had to leave on missions again, and I never got to hear much about Summer aside from the story. All she told me was that Summer was the most formidable opponent she ever faced, and the match they had during the tournament was the most fun she had fighting another huntress."

"Their showdown was one to remember, I can promise you that. I'm sure you'll come across recordings of it during your time at Beacon, just gotta ask around." Tai weakly chuckled. "As for their friendship... Well, to put it simply, they were like sisters." He tenderly revealed. "In fact, it's actually thanks to their match that our team even became friends with Inko in the first place."

"Really?" Izuku breathed in astonishment.

"That's right." Tai affirmed proudly. "While they both put up a hell of a fight during their battle, ultimately it was your mom who came out the victor and won the tournament."

"Wait, their match was the final one?" Izuku inquired with great intrigue.

"Mm." Tai nodded. "When it comes to the final duels of the tournament, it's always a one-on-one battle between the best fighters from each team. Needless to say, Summer and Inko were it." He smirked. "Anyway, shortly after their fight when Summer had recovered enough, she approached your mom to congratulate her. Turns out, despite the wicked beating she received, Summer had just as much as fun fighting Inko as Inko did her. Then, from there, their sisterhood was born. And the rest, as they say, is history." He concluded with a gentle smile, content with travelling down that road of memory lane.

"Amazing..." Izuku grinned. "I uh... I wish I could've met her.."

"Oh, you did." Tai responded confidently.

Yet again, Izuku was rendered stunned. Befuddled, he blinked a few times before looking back up at Tai. "I did? When?"

"Hmm.. What's today, Saturday..?" Tai playfully hummed, keeping the boy in suspense as he held back from speaking the truth so soon, tapping his chin as he looked to the ceiling. "I'd say it's been about... 15 years since you first met Summer." He finally answered, the gears in Izuku's head already turning.

"15 years ago... I'd have been 2 around then." Izuku figured.

"You were pretty young. That's probably why you don't remember. Would you like to know the story? Or, the basic version anyway." Tai offered.

"I'd appreciate it, yes." Izuku graciously accepted, adjusting into a more comfortable posture to listen.

"Alright." Tai cleared his throat before explaining this next story. "Now, keep in mind that I'm going purely by Summer's perspective here, as I, myself, wasn't able to be there due to a mission, which is why tonight's the first time I'm meeting you." Understood, he received a nod. "Okay, it was a few weeks after our daughter was born, and Summer really wanted your family to meet little Ruby. Inko as well. Not only that, but Summer also wanted to meet you. So, deciding to kill two Nevermores with one shot, she and Inko planned for them to pay Musu a visit one day. And once they had arrived there... well, let's just say that was a damn great day for everyone." He smiled. "According to her, you were possibly the cutest little boy she'd ever laid eyes on. Also, you were, and I quote, an infectious bundle of lovable energy." He laughed upon seeing Izuku become flushed by said quote, not about to tease him as he wasn't done. "I swear to Oum, that's what she said!" He chuckled a bit more. "However, what really had her loving you though... was just how gentle and caring you were whenever she'd let you hold Ruby."

"I... I held your daughter?" Izuku said in disbelief.

"Believe it or not, you did. A few times." Tai smirked. "Hold on, I think there's a picture of it somewhere in my room. Let me go check." With that, he hurried off his seat before exiting the room, leaving Izuku alone with his thoughts for now.

'I have so much to catch up on when it comes to my mother's life. Her past.. All this time, I've been so simpleminded that I thought I truly knew everything about her, but as this night proves, that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm deeply sorry for not taking better interest, Mother... Forgive me..' So far, this night has been quite the emotional rollercoaster for Izuku. After all that he's learned in such a short period of time, so many other questions now caused havoc in his mind. There were so many questions... Yet, there was so little time for answers.

It wouldn't be long before he'd have to be in bed, as he does have an early bullhead ride to Vale in the morning. Not only that, but he didn't want to overwhelm Tai by asking so many things in one night, especially when it came to talking about his late wife. He opened enough old wounds.. He knew it mustn't be easy for his uncle to talk about Summer, or his auntie he should say, which is why he decided to call it there. As curious as he is about the circumstances behind Summer's death, he figured it can wait.

'And I'm so sorry to you, Uncle Tai..' Izuku heavily sighed, now waiting in painful silence for the man to return, which didn't happen for a few minutes.

"Found it!" Tai announced as he paced into the room, gently placing a framed photo down in front of his nephew before returning to his seat. "Sorry that took so long. Man, I seriously gotta sort out my closet one of these days. I have so much stuff stored away in there that it took me awhile to find it." He chirped, gesturing to the photo. "Anyway, take a good look, kiddo. Little you carrying my little Rose petal. Clear as day." He smiled.

Slow and carefully, Izuku took the frame into his hands before raising it slightly, gulping as the anticipation was almost suffocating. Then, when seeing the photo resting within the frame, his body momentarily ceased all function.

Now, he couldn't deny that there was a much younger version of himself happily grinning in the picture. However, what really caught his eye was not only the adorable baby girl he had cradled in his arms... but also the chipper blonde girl looking down at baby Ruby from over his shoulder. The photo was shot at such an upclose angle that no background can be seen, the children being all there is to it.

'Well, I know which one Ruby is. But, who is that?' Izuku wondered as he couldn't take his eyes off the blonde girl who looked the same age as him at the time. Then, a moment later, his eyes widened as he remembered something Tai had said earlier. 'Wait, Uncle Tai did mention that he had TWO daughters.. Could she be the second one? Or... first one, I suppose?' He unknowingly theorized correctly.

"That's Yang, by the way." Tai finally spoke up, amused as he could tell why Izuku was so distracted. "And before you ask, yes, she is my other daughter. My first, and oldest, daughter in fact." He read the boy's mind.

'And there's my answer.' "I see.." Izuku composed himself. "Well, I can't say I remember anything at all about this day... But, I can't deny what I'm seeing. I did meet them.." Izuku sighed as he did wish to remember at least something from that day, rubbing his head as he couldn't for the life of him.

"Told you." Tai shrugged.

"Hold on.." Izuku suddenly raised a brow. "Uncle Tai? Where exactly are your daughters? Now that I think about it, I haven't seen or heard anyone besides us here. Are they not home?" The boy questioned.

"Nah, they're not." Tai answered. "Trust me, if they were here, I'd have introduced you to them the instant we walked into this house. No, they're actually over in Vale right now spending time together befo-"

Holding that thought, the conversation was interrupted when Tai's scroll suddenly rung from his pocket, the noise startling Izuku as he jolted in his chair before looking around frantically.

"Oh, crap, sorry!" Tai apologized as he fumbled for his scroll, showing off the device as the ringing was him getting a call. "There's no need to panic, it's just my scroll. We're not in any danger, I swear." He said while gesturing for his nephew to lower his guard, the boy having just about put his weapons to work as he pulled up his sleeves. "That was my bad, kid. I thought I had my scroll set to vibrate. Didn't mean to alarm you." He scoffed nervously, calming down once Izuku did the same.

'Hew! Thank goodness..' Tai huffed in relief, shaking back to his senses before checking who the caller was. "Oh, speak of the devil. It's Ruby!" He grinned as he showed Izuku the scroll, the face of the young reaper taking up a portion of the screen along with the title 'My Rose Petal'. "Hmm, wonder why she's calling at this hour." Curious, Tai wasted no more time as he then answered the call, getting up from his seat as he made way for some privacy in the kitchen.

"Hey, sweetie, what's up? ..Woah, woah, woah, Ruby slow down! You're not making any sense! Uh huh... Wait, What do you mean you were just at the police station? What the heck happened?! Where's your sister?! ..Uh huh... Uh huh.. Ozpin bailed you out? But, why was he-? H... H-He what?"

Judging by the rising tension in Tai's voice, Izuku leaned back slightly as he had a feeling another outburst was coming.

He was right.

"WHAT?! HE'S ENROLLING YOU INTO BEACON?!"
