Welcome Nigari! Today we welcome him into the story and also Yi Jeong will make more of an appearance. This will be a SoEul ff, I just want to stress this again but right now I want to establish Ga Eul's past and introduce this version of her to you guys. I finally googled Nigari from Alice in Borderland as some of you told me and he had facial piercings, I almost left that out of his description because I thought I'd be stealing his appearance too much but from what I gather, Yakuza members still identify themselves with certain tattoos and piercings so I decided to keep it.
Also for the first time with my BOF stories - I'm going to be including Ha Jae Kyung in my story this time. She'll also be somewhat of a support to Ga Eul in this story, more than Jan Di will be simply because I do not really like Jan Di... Idk y, she just never rlly caught my attention that well. I either found her whiny or just mean... In my eyes, she didn't appreciate those around her enough. She also seemed selfish to a certain extent, I know Ga Eul was a secondary character but if I remember correctly, JD never asked GE about her father after he lost his job nor did she really seem that interested in her. The only time she showed she cared was when she followed her around on her fake date with YJ, which also seemed forced tbh.
Could just be me though.
Anyway, enjoy this chapter!
Ga Eul was waiting inside the Lotus when the door popped open and a tall, handsome Asian male slipped into the passenger's seat. The slightly older male had several piercings in his face: his lip was pierced on both sides creating a snake bite, his eyebrow was double pierced and his nose also had a piercing. From experience she knew that he had other piercings as well in his ears, his tongue and yes, also his nipples. Aside from the piercings, Ga Eul could see the tattoos on both his arms and on his right hand and fingers, the left hand completely bare because one day it would be the hand that would hold his wedding band and so he wanted to keep that hand completely clean.
Nigari was dressed in a black shirt that was not completely buttoned up, a fitted blazer and leather-like pants with black combat boots on his feet. He looked intimidating, even if he was not the largest man in the world. His aura commanded every room he was in, whether it was filled with 'lowly peasants' or with the most influential politicians. No matter where he was, Nigari demanded attention and revelled in it. He exuded danger, one look and you knew it would be best not to cross the man.
"Sweetling." He whispered, "Surprised to see you."
I smiled broadly at him, "Where to?"
"The warehouse near the docks where I keep my cars. I'll be more comfortable in a car that was not meant for ants." He huffed, "Where'd you get this ride anyway?"
"It's Song Woo Bin's, he let me drive it to come pick you up." I explained when I shifted out of the parking spot and headed towards the exit. "It's warehouse 10b, right?"
"Should be." He took out his phone and dialed a number on it, "Ah, Song Li Bin! Ga Eul just picked me up and we are on our way to the warehouse so we can pick up my own car."
The other side of the line was muffled but I could hear something like 'house' and 'welcome'. I didn't know what was going on but decided to wait until he was off the phone until I would ask about it. Luckily the phone call was short and soon enough, Nigari tossed his phone down.
"You didn't have to come." I said, "But I do appreciate it."
"Of course I had to come, Ga Eul." He said, "I got a call from who I think is Li Bin but instead I hear your soft, scared whispers. I had no idea what happened to you, Li Bin did explain that it was just a scare and that nothing happened but I know you, Sweetling. You don't easily get scared, even after what happened to you all that time ago- especially after what happened then. It's why I admire you so much. If you were really scared, there must've been a good reason for that."
The docks weren't too far away from the airport and with the way I drove, with the gas pedal nearly completely against the ground, we reached the destination in no time. I sped into the large warehouse and parked next to the black SUV that I knew belonged to Nigari. We both got out and looked around the warehouse, aware that Song Li Bin was waiting for us. Nigari had said that his house keys would be in the warehouse as well but that he had no idea where he had left them the last time that he had been in the country. They should've been in the safety deposit box in the large safe in the office at the back of the warehouse but that was empty.
"Looking for your keys, Nigari?" Li Bin asked, "I thought you'd been made aware that the entire building had been lit up a couple months ago because it was a danger?"
"What?" Nigari asked, "I didn't know that... What happened?"
"Noshimuro Hiroto gave us the order to put the building on fire and make sure it burned down completely because it had become known to the authorities just who owned apartments in said building. They were planning a raid to see what they could find in the units but we were tipped before the actual raid. All of your stuff is in warehouse 12a, so is the stuff of every other tenant of the building. As I said on the phone earlier, you are always welcome to stay with us at the Song estate as is Ga Eul, of course."
Nigari stood up with a sigh, "Seems like I don't have a choice. Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Song. That and your help with Ga Eul is greatly appreciated. Noshimuro told me to make sure you were aware that this will not go unnoticed and that we owe you big time. Despite Ga Eul not actually being mine anymore, the man still considers her one of our own and as you know better than anyone, we protect our own."
"Of course we do." He smiled kindly down to me, "Let's go home. We have a lot to discuss I think."
"Sounds very good, Mr. Song." I smiled. "C'mon Nigari."
"You go ahead, Sweetling. I'm going to check out the other warehouse to see if I can get some of my clothes there and some other stuff but you go on ahead with Li Bin. I'll see you soon." He kissed the top of my head and disappeared.
Li Bin winked at me, "He seems very protective."
I chuckled, "You have no idea."
Hours later, after 5 in the morning, I finally got the text from Woo Bin to come pick him up from the club. He advised me to drive the SUV or something sort like because I'd also be driving Yi Jeong home. Apparently the man in question had had too much to drink and was in no shape to go home alone.
Nigari offered me his keys and told me to be careful. After telling him what happened earlier, both he and Song Li Bin agreed that I wouldn't react out of nowhere to a random man and they'd be looking into it. I still believed it was because of his likeliness to my own rapist but they disagreed and said it would not be the only reason.
I finally arrived at the club and noticed it was completely empty. Having no knowledge of the clubbing scene, I had no idea if that was early for a trendy club to me empty or not but didn't question it. I stayed in the car and texted Woo Bin I was in the front. He surprised me by telling me to come in because he needed my help. I locked the door and quickly walked inside the club, seeing some staff cleaning up and working behind the bar to put everything in order.
I walked to a kind looking woman at the bar and tried to catch her attention, "Sorry? Excuse me."
She turned around and sneered, "We're closed."
"Yeah, I know that but Song Woo Bin texted me to come in. Do you know where he is?"
She snorted, "As if our boss would be interested in an ugly, boring commoner like yourself."
I rolled my eyes, "Fine, be like that. I'll find him myself."
"I-"
"I would shut up if I were you, Mi Yeon." A deep, barotone voice cut in. "Boss doesn't take too nicely to people insulting his friends."
"I-"
"Miss Ga Eul?" The large man asked, "Boss is in his office. I will lead you there."
"Thank you." Together with the man I walked up the stairs behind a hidden wall. It wasn't exactly hidden but you wouldn't notice it if you were there with the intention of clubbing, it was hidden by a thick black curtain and at the top of the stairs was a heavy door that only opened with a certain code. I smiled when I saw Woo Bin sitting behind his desk and Yi Jeong passed out on the large couch in the corner of his office, "Woo Bin Sunbae, why did you need my help?"
"There's something I want to talk to you about but I don't know how you will react. I wanted to ask you before going to Father and Nigari with this."
I moved closer to him and looked down at what was on display on his desk. "What is this, Sunbae?"
"Pictures of a man harassing young girls, around our age with similar looks to you, here in my club. I'd been eyeing him for a while now but tonight, I got a special call in that he had been harassing a young girl who had already turned him down. He did not back off and instead went back to her, again and again. I told my men to keep an eye on him but by the time I got here, he was gone." Woo Bin explained.
I nodded slowly, not quite getting why he needed me. "That is terrible, Woo Bin but how does that involve me? How can I help?"
He sighed, "Ga Eul, the girl he harassed... She said that he kept telling her that he finally got her again after all this time and that this time her 'fucked up Yakuza boyfriend' could not get her out, that she would be his again... He called her 'his precious flower'... You said that's what he called you."
"That's impossible... Nigari killed my rapist, Woo Bin. No, the man that tortured me those years ago is gone."
"Is he though?"
