Chapter 9, people! We're here. Are they going to find her? Maybe... Who knows?
Hope you enjoy!
Woo Bin had finally reached Osaka by the time that the sun was starting to come up again. According to his neverending stream of incoming messages, almost all available men were out on the streets to gather intel about the bastard that took Ga Eul. That included Noshimuro himself and his sons. The messages coming from the Big Boss himself didn't promise a very nice or calm person but rather an agitated one who was worried sick.
She really meant a lot to these people.
"Bro." Woo Bin called for my attention.
I looked up at him, eyesbrow raised. "What?"
"We think we know where she is." Another voice spoke up through the phone, "No need to come to the main house, let's just all meet up there."
"Sure thing, man." Woo Bin agreed before pressing down on the gaspedal. "Text me the adress and we'll be there as soon as possible."
"We will wait for you to come before we breach." The person on the other side of the line said.
Woo Bin hummed before pressing a button on his steering wheel to end the call. He looked at me from the side of his eye before focusing on the road again, probably trying to gauge my reaction to the news.
She could possibly be found! Maybe, just maybe, I could fix this situation I'd gotten her in.
The news that I might hold her in my arms soon enough, made me antsy, causing me to shift in my seat and look over to speedometer to see how fast he was driving. Seeing that he was already going over the speeding limit, made me feel somewhat better but it didn't keep me from wishing he could go even faster. Every second he was driving, was a second closer to being with Ga Eul again and saving her from going through such a nightmare again.
In the back of my mind, worries started to filter through that maybe she wouldn't want my help. After all, i'm the one that got her in this situation in the first place. My words were unforgivable, I was in no position to talk to her about sleeping around. I was the last one to speak about that.
However, I would not let it stop me from being there for her. I knew that going for her, meant taking on Nigari as well and something told me that he'd oppose our possible union as much as possible. He did not like me at all, not that I could blame him for that.
Right now, I hated myself for what I have caused.
"Stop worrying, bro. We almost got her, don't worry."
"Of course I worry, Woo Bin. I'm the one that caused this."
"You are," He agreed, "But you will have the rest of your lives to make it up to her. You know Ga Eul, she values a heartfelt apology and show her, actually show her you are sorry. She is a simple girl, she does not want you to lavish her in gifts but she wants you to show her-"
"I know, Woo Bin." I snapped before sighing, "I know but thanks anyway for telling me, I will never give up on trying to tell and show her how sorry I am. What I said was out of place, it was terrible of me and I should have been the last person to say something like that to her. Me, of all people."
"Hmm," He agreed, sharply turned a corner, causing my head to bump against the window quite harshly, "Shit, my bad."
The bastard did not sound remorseful at all. The same thing happened a minute later when he abruptly pressed on his brakes, making me fly forward and bashing my own head against the dashboard. With a glare sent his way, I stumbled out of the car and joined the large group in front of the abandoned warehouse.
We were in a remote area, probably one of the old industry terrains in the country. A perfect place for a pervert to bring his victim but not this time, not with Ga Eul.
I'd kill him personally for that if he even touched her with a single finger.
"Yi Jeong, Ji Hoo maybe you two sh-"
I cut off the older man, "If you think I'll sit by while you get my woman, you're delusional."
He sighed, discreetly handing me a weapon, "Fine but just- stay out of trouble okay? Don't shoot unless absolutely necessary."
"We don't want a repeat of what happened the last time." Nigari growled, probably blaming himself for this situation as much as I did. After all, he'd been the one who had been so sure that the man who was dead now, had been her rapist and not some other guy. For all we knew, he was a random stranger who took photographs of abandoned buildings, stumbled upon an unconscious woman and tried to save her only to get killed for it.
Real nice.
More likely though, it had been a lackey of the sick bastard that had her now and was ordered to keep an eye on her while he was gone and deserved to die but still. In my mind it was nicer to think that Nigari had screwed up big time.
I nodded my consent before following them through the old, rusted metal doors that were kicked open. There was some commosion inside, peaking my interest and I rushed to the side, seeing three men fleeing out one of the side doors but the locked door at the end of the hallway really called for my attention. With a growl, I sprinted towards it and yanked at the chain.
"Ga Eul?!" I screamed, "Ga Eul, you in there?"
"Y- Sunbae!" She screamed, "Help!"
"I'm coming, Ga Eul. I'm coming for you."
I shot the big lock around the chains, opening it and yanking the chain away from the door. Vaguely I was aware of men approaching me, hearing gunshots and yelling in the distance but right now it was Ga Eul's frightened voice pleading with me, for me, to come save her.
Me.
I kicked the door open with all my might, and some of Woo Bin's help but I did not want to acknowledge that and rushed inside. To my horror, Ga Eul was pulled up to some crazy guy's chest with a knife against her throat. Panicking, I did not know what to do. How could I get him to drop the knife?
"Stay back, don't come closer!" He screamed in Japanese, pulling the knife away from her delicate throat to aim it at us. "She is mine!"
"Man-" Woo Bin started but was cut off by him again.
"No! She is mine! I had her first! She wants to be with me! Right, flower, you do, right? You want to join me in Paradise, hmm?" He rambled and when she didn't answer, he shook her roughly, "Hmm?"
"Yes!" She screamed out, taking a couple of calming breaths, "Yes, I want to be with you so how about we slowly get up and get out of here. They won't hurt us, I want this."
"G-"
"No, sunbae. I want this." She stressed, "I want to go so let us pass."
He stood up slowly with her, grinning at how easily he'd won from us and how he'd gotten her for himself.
As if. Not with me here.
When they passed us, his arm still around her to hold her close, she stepped on his foot hard and twisted his arm making him drop in pain. Feeling safe enough to run away from him, she stepped back and ran straight into my chest. She turned around instantly and I nodded at Woo Bin, telling him to get the already restrained man away from her. Slowly, I put the gun in the waistband of my pants and carefully wrapped my arms around her to not startle her.
She was sobbing uncontrolably in my neck, her arms wrapped tight around my waist. Placing one hand on her head, I started whispering in her ear, "Don't worry. You're safe. You're safe now. I got you, don't you worry. I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going anywhere, I will be right here. Okay? I will not leave your side. Do you want to get out of here?"
She nodded.
"Can you walk?" She shook her head, "Okay, no problem. I'm going to carry you, okay?"
With ease I lifted her in my arms and tucked her close to my chest, "Thank you, sunbae. I knew you'd come for me."
"Me?" I asked surprised.
She hummed, "Yes, I knew Nigari would come too but I also knew it was you that would come for me. That would get to me. Thank you, sunbae."
"Ga-"
"I know, Yi Jeong." She cut me off, "I know."
