She's constantly being unfair and mentally abusing Leo with harsh words, insults, and not giving any kind of belief in him or hims ideas./span/p

Leo's whole personality went from "trying to find out who he really is" to "being a love-sick idiot who fell in love with an abusive bully." Leo really could have had growth with the two butting heads. Like, Leo could have grown more of a backbone, learning to stand up for himself and be a strong, individual. But instead, he seemed to grow obviously weaker, going along with almost every word that Calypso says, making it hard to even read parts where it had him in it. /span/p

Echo was a sweet, strong, and patient character who honestly should have come back in the story. Leo promised that he would come back to save her, and she OBVIOUSLY grew a small crush on him. Hazel seemed to like her as well, which in my opinion, gave her some bonus points. When Leo met Calypso, that broke away the last chance of him going back to save Echo, which was honestly kind of a heartbreaking moment, since Echo might be waiting on her island, just waiting for her savior to come back. (Plus her life was much harder than being worshipped like Calypso was)/span/p
