And now, what you've all been waiting for... (Drum roll, please) THE STORY:

Ch. 1: Reunions and Introductions

"Rory!" Lane yelled from down the hallway. She hadn't seen her best friend in four years, and couldn't believe she was back in Stars Hollow.

"Lane!" Rory yelled, closing her locker and running down the hallway towards her. "I haven't seen you in forever! I missed you!"

"I missed you too!" Lane said, hugging Rory. Rory had gone to Chilton for middle school and her freshman year of high school. While she was at Chilton, her mom and her had moved in with her grandparents, and they lived there. They got so busy that they barely ever came back to Stars Hollow, but now they were back for good. And the town was happy. They got their princess back.

"What's your first period?" Lane asked, pulling out her schedule.

"English, with Bradson. What about you?" Rory asked.

"Same, lets go. There's so much I want to tell you! Oh my gosh, did I tell you about the new boy?" Lane asked as the linked arms and walked down the hall to their first period.

After school, Rory was walking home with Lane. They had settled into a comfortable silence a couple minutes earlier, and Rory had begun to think about her day.

The day had gone by slowly. Rory saw all her old friends again, and met all her new teachers. Of course, they all liked her right away. She didn't have any mean teachers, which was good. There weren't too many kids that she didn't know, so she didn't have to worry about meeting all the new kids. There were only two that Lane mentioned to her. Dean and Jess. Apparently, Dean worked at Dossee's, he was cute, and everyone liked him. Except one person. Jess. Jess was the resident bad boy. Leather jacket and all. He never talked, he was rude, and he liked to create trouble.

Rory hadn't seen either of them, but Lane said they could stop by Dossee's and see Dean, and that Jess was Luke's nephew, so they would see him when they went there.

"So, do you want to go to Luke's, Dossee's, or just straight home?" Lane's question snapped Rory out of her thoughts.

"Um, lets go to Luke's and get something to eat, and then on the way home, we can stop at Dossee's and get supplies for the first movie night of the 'since the Gilmore's have been back in Stars Hollow' time." Rory said.

"Okay, to Luke's it is." Lane said as she changed directions. "Hey Luke, look who I brought!" Lane yelled as soon as the pair entered the store.

"Who?" Luke said from the kitchen. Then he answered his own question. "Rory!" He said as she came out of the kitchen and hugged Rory. "How are you? What are you doing here?" Luke said, showing his soft side that he reserved for Rory and her mother.

"We moved back. I thought Mom would have told you." Rory said as she and Lane moved to sit at the counter.

"No, I haven't seen her. What can I get you?" He asked, going back around the counter and grabbing a notepad.

"Umm… Coffee. And a cheeseburger with fries. Oooh oh oh, and pie! And onion rings! And chili fries. And cheese fries!" Rory said as she remembered all of her favorites that she had missed over the past four years.

"You want all of that?" Luke asked, looking skeptical.

"Of course. I'm a Gilmore." Rory said.

"You heard her, Luke. She's a Gilmore." Rory heard a voice behind her, and turned to see who it was.

"Jess, your break ended an hour ago." Luke said, as she looked at the guy who had just walking into the diner. She froze as she took in what she saw.
