After the explosion at the Floating Rib

Jason wasn't answering his phone as Kellie stood outside the Floating Rib with Sonny, Carly, and Sam, clutching Danny's baseball cap. Kellie had come as soon Uncle Lo called to tell her the Floating Rib exploded. He'd said Jason had arrived with Danny as he was leaving.

"Don't make me arrest you, Kellie," Mac said. I wanted to go inside and look for Jason and Danny.

"She won't," Sonny said, holding her back, "Right, Kellie. You'll let the police and first responders do their jobs."

Kellie reluctantly agreed for now. Mac left us as Julian approached. Sam moved off to the side to talk to him.

"He's going to be okay," Carly said, hugging her, "He has to be."

"I'm going to call Dante," Kellie said, feeling helpless, "See if he can tell me anything about Lulu."

Sonny nodded as Kellie moved a few feet away. Before she could dial Dante's number, her heart stopped as Jason walked towards her from the street, not from inside the bar.

She froze for a moment, relieved and stunned, as she had been mentally preparing myself for the worst. The next moments were a blur as Kellie threw herself at Jason. She needed to touch him to believe he was really there.

"Where's Danny?" Sam asked.

"I dropped him off at the Quartermaines," Jason said.

"Thank God," Sam said.

"I must have accidentally set the phone to silent," Jason continued, I didn't realize what had happened for while. Then when I heard what happened and came right over."

"What happened that you had to drop Danny off at the Quartermaines?" Kellie asked.

"Something came up," Jason said, "It was urgent. Sam hadn't indicated she and Alexis were through talking."

"I'm just glad you're both alive," Kellie said.

"We're going to go pick up Danny," Sam said, "I need to see him."

Sam left. Somewhere in the chaos so did Julian. Kellie got a text from Dante.

"Dustin didn't survive," Kellie said, "Dante let me know."

"What about Lulu?" Carly asked.

"Waiting to get checked out by the doctors," Kellie replied.

"Dev and Cameron were there when I left," Jason said.

"No sign of Dev yet," Dad said, "And Cameron was sent to the hospital. He was limping pretty good.

"What about Charles?" Jason asked.

"Charles was in there?" Kellie replied.

"We haven't seen him come out," Carly said.

Kellie moved towards the entrance. She wasn't waiting for the first responders any more. Jason ran after her.

"Not again," Mac said at the entrance, "How many times do I have to tell you you're not going in there Kellie?"

"My father-in-law's in there," Kellie yelled, "I'm not leaving until I find him."

"What's all the fuss about?" Charles asked appearing at the entrance, limping, and using Dev and Sage to help support him.

"His leg was trapped beneath a support beam," Dev said.

"And you're bleeding," Sage yelled, "We need a gurney."

I took Dev's place by Charles as more first responders came to assist.

"So what's this about Mac threatening to arrest you?" Charles joked.

"They wouldn't let me in to help with the search," Kellie said, "For you or Jason or Danny."

"It's going to take more than an explosion to take me out," Charles said.

"You're not invincible," Kellie replied, "And we still want you around for a very long time."

"I'm going to be fine," Charles said as the gurney arrived.

Kellie stepped back as Sage and her colleagues took care of Charles. She went over to Dev.

"Thank you," I said.

"I was just returning a favor," Dev said, "He helped make it so I could stay here with your family …legally."

"He's definitely good at what he does," Kellie said, "Especially when it comes to helping kids without families."

Dev looked like he wanted to ask something, but Sonny interrupted, "You should get to the hospital and get checked out, Dev."

"It's just a little blood," Dev said.

"You might actually need stitches. I'll take him," Kellie said, "I'm going to go and make sure Charles has everything he needs."

"I appreciate it," Sonny said.

Jason pulled me Kellie to the side, "Are you okay?"

"We'll talk later," Kellie said, "I know the drill. I know you and Dad have things you need to figure out."

"Before I go," Dev said, "There's something I need to tell the cops."
