Jason, Kellie, Brick, Max, and Johnny met at the remains of the Floating Rib.

"Here's the plan," Jason said, "Brick, you'll wait in the parking garage at GH, keep an eye out and be ready to make a quick get away."

"You got it," Brick said, "Have we heard back from Detective Scorpio yet?"

"He's on his way," Kellie said, "He's not sure why the power's out other than Cyrus telling the commissioner there was nothing to worry about. It's just an electrical problem to fix."

"Kellie, you and Johnny go in the regular entrance, and inquire about Kelsey's appointment," Jason said, "Max and I will check the perimeter and come in a back entrance. A few of our guys are on the way to help keep an eye on the perimeter."

"I hate to tell you this, but Jason," Kellie said, pausing and then touching his shoulder, "You can't go in there. If this…if this turns into a shootout or any kind of fiasco, we can't risk you getting hauled down to the station or waylaid some other way, not today."

"She's right," Johnny said, "This goes sideways, at best you'll be stuck at the PCPD when you need to be meeting with the families."

"But it's my daughter," Jason said.

"And we'll make sure she comes home," Max said.

"I can't just stand around when Cyrus might…" Jason said.

"But you have to," Kellie said, "The stakes are too high. Who knows Cyrus could have planned this with the intent of keeping you away from the meeting."

"You can't play into his hand," Max said, "We should get you some place with lots of witnesses actually."

"MetroCourt should do it," Lorenzo said, joining them along with Sam, "The boys and Alyssa are fine. Everything looks quiet on that front."

"We figured you could use some extra back up," Sam said, "I was with Dad when you called him."

"Thank you," Jason said, unhappily resigned to staying back, "I guess I'll go to the MetroCourt."

"With Max," Kellie said, pulling Jason close to her and whispering, "I'm sorry there's no one I'd rather have with me to go get our daughter."

"I'll see if Spinelli's come up with anything in the hospital security cameras," Jason said.

"There's one other thing you can do for me," Kellie said.

"Anything," Jason said.

"Make arrangements for the kids to go to the island," Kellie said, "I know we talked about it before, but didn't want them to be away over the holidays and then Dad died… Even if this a false alarm, I can't risk them like this again. Not until things calm down."

"I'll do that," Jason said as Kellie stepped back.

Jason and Max were about to leave when Kellie checked her phone.

"It's Liz," Kellie said, "Felix and Dev are sneaking Kelsey out through the morgue."

"What about Francis?" Johnny said.

"Going to try to draw attention to himself," Kellie said.

Jason stopped.

"We got this," Lorenzo said to Jason.

"I'm counting on it," Jason said, "Call me when she's safe."

Kellie nodded, "I'm obviously going to the morgue."

"I'll go with you," Sam said.

"If Brick's got the parking garage and is a getaway driver," Kellie said, looking at Johnny and Uncle Lo, "That means you two have to play nice in the hospital."

"If there's one thing we can agree on," Johnny said as Lorenzo nodded, "It's keeping you and the kids safe. We'll search the hospital for Kelsey and Francis."

"I can't guarantee we'll play nice with Cyrus's goons," Lorenzo replied as he headed towards the hospital, "Hurry up, O'Brien."

Johnny rolled his eyes and followed.

PCPD

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Jordan finally said, "Should I be concerned the District Attorney is losing it?"

"Do you really think I was born yesterday, Commissioner," Robert said, "Renault seems to have you on his own personal speed dial. He'll only talk to you when he gets brought down to the station. He calls you to tell you not to send officers to check out reports of a power outage. You just what take his word for it?"

"I can't control who Cyrus decides he'll talk to at the PCPD," Jordan said.

"You certainly don't have to placate requests not to investigate reports before you've heard what the actual report is," Robert said, "Not to mention since Renault has been released from prison, I've heard you've taken an interest in the patrol routes, even moving patrols from routes known for smuggling contraband through."

"I thought we should mix it up," Jordan said, "I didn't want any one get complacent thinking we were keeping things routine."

"The patrols are built so they're not routine," Robert said, "Before you try it, I'm aware that since those changes have occurred more shipments are slipping through."

"Really, I'd like to know your sources," Jordan said.

"Like I'm going to tell a compromised police commissioner that," Robert said.

"It's all circumstantial," Jordan replied.

"But your son's abduction isn't," Robert said, "That is supposedly unsolvable. Yet TJ appeared as soon as you told the truth and let Renault out of prison."

"What was I supposed to do? Let Cyrus kill TJ just to keep him in prison?" Jordan exploded, then put her hand over her mouth.

"Of course not," Robert said, "But dammit, Jordan, you should have asked for help."

"You really think Cyrus was just going to leave my son alone once he was free if I didn't do what he said," Jordan replied.

"We could have figured out how to keep him from going after anyone else and keep you from being further compromised. " Robert said, "Come up with a plan to make sure he went to prison and stayed there."

"What do you expect me to do now?" Jordan said, "What do you think Cyrus is going to do now that you apparently know?"

"Maybe we start using it to our advantage," Robert said, "There's got to be a way to get him hang himself out to dry?"

General Hospital

Lorenzo and Johnny got to the elevator to see the generators were working to provide some light and keep machines going. They moved cautiously, keeping alert for any sign of Francis or Liz.

"Split up?" Johnny asked, assessing the different directions they could go, "We'll cover more ground."

Lorenzo nodded as they heard gunshots from one of the hallways.

"Well I'd say that's hint which direction to go," Johnny said as they took off running, guns drawn.

Author's Note: Full disclosure, when I started this chapter the plan was Jason and Kellie to Kelsey's rescue. Then I started writing and realized in the group of Brick, Max, Johnny, Jason, and Kellie, that someone has to realize with the meeting with the families soon, maybe Jason running into the line of fire, might not be the best idea. Definitely an unexpected and interesting dynamic to write. Happy reading and happy Friday Eve!
