Kellie's phone rang. She looked at the screen and saw it was Robert Scorpio.

"The PCPD is calling," Kellie said, "I'm going to have to go to the station. PCPD knows that we had concerns about Kelsey's safety."

"Diane's on standby," Jason said, "She might already be at the station if our people are there."

"If they want to question you, I'll have Diane run interference until you can get there," Kellie said, "We obviously never resolved the question we were discussing before Francis called and hell broke loose. But if you need me, let me know I'll be there."

"Do I even know want ask?" Monica said.

"No," Kellie and Jason said at the same time.

"Can Kelsey stay here until I'm done at the PCPD?" Kellie asked.

"Of course," Charles said.

"Thank you," Jason said, "And for offering to go with the kids to island."

"It's not like I have GH to go to," Monica said.

"Hopefully, we can fix that," Jason said.

"I'll walk you out," Monica said.

"I'll head out with you," Kellie said.

PCPD

Kellie arrived to the PCPD to find Lorenzo being unhandcuffed and Alexis reading Mac the riot act.

"I can't believe you handcuffed the man who defused your hostage situation," Alexis said.

"It's not like we knew what was going on at the time," Mac said, "He was given an order to stand down. Like I said, we don't expect charges to be filed. But don't leave town, Mr. Alcazar. We may have more questions."

"What happened?" Kellie asked.

"While looking for Francis and Kelsey at the hospital," Alexis said, "Lorenzo and Johnny stumbled on Dr. Westbourne being attacked. The attacker took her hostage. They rescued her."

"Although Johnny did suffer a minor bullet wound," Lorenzo said, "But's he's fine. He's being patched up at GH."

"We have a few questions for you," Mac said.

"Not without her attorney," Diane said as she and Francis left the interrogation room.

"On that note, we'll be leaving," Alexis said, "If you have any more questions for my husband, I'll make the arrangements as his attorney."

"Thank you, counselor, for," Lorenzo started to say.

"Don't," Alexis said, "I still have more than a few words for you, mister. Let's go."

Alexis and Lorenzo left.

"Where's Jason?" Mac asked, "We asked him to come in for questioning."

"Detective, I am happy to make the arrangements for my client to come in for questioning," Diane said, "But I'd like to know on what grounds."

"Well….his daughter was missing," Mac said, "It seems odd that no one's seen him."

"He was at the MetroCourt with Max," Kellie said.

"With plenty of witnesses, I'm sure," Max said.

"Excuse me, Detective Scorpio," Diane said, "But do you have cause to question Jason Morgan?"

"Well, not yet," Mac said, "But we do have questions."

"I'll make the arrangements," Diane said, "Now why don't we get on with questioning Mrs. Morgan, so she can get home to her daughter."

Mac questioned Kellie. Afterwards, Robert asked Kellie and Mac to join him in his office. There they found Britt and Jordan and Laura.

"What is this about?" Mac asked.

"I think it's about time we all started putting our heads together," Laura said, "It seems to me we might be able to help each other."

"With what exactly?" Kellie asked.

"Cyrus Renault," Jordan said, "He seems to be a thorn in all our sides."

Kellie looked at Jordan and Britt, "Usually I'm all for collaboration. But I'm pretty sure there are two people in this room, in Renault's pocket."

"Well the man tried to have me killed today," Britt replied, forcefully, "I'm not inclined to do business with people who want me dead. Not to mention his real intentions with the hospital are becoming increasingly clear. I want no part of that."

"No part of what?" Kellie asked.

"He's developing a drug in the GH labs," Britt said, "The properties indicate it's highly addictive and dangerous. He must have figured out I was looking into this."

"So that leaves the mole in the PCPD," Kellie said, looking at Jordan.

"My son's life was threatened," Jordan said, "I would think you would understand that, Mrs. Morgan, considering you just feared for your daughter's life."

"It doesn't change the fact that you used your position and aided Cyrus for months to allow his product to get into Port Charles," Robert said.

"Why should we trust little miss mob queen?" Britt said, "I doubt she's all sweet and innocent."

"Looked in a mirror lately, Dr. Westbourne," Kellie said, "At least I'm not into stealing embryos."

"Enough," Laura said, "This isn't getting us anywhere. As much as I wish Jordan would have asked for help with Cyrus, I certainly can't fault her for trying to protect her son. That will be dealt with separately. However, we don't want to put Jordan and her family in further danger. We've already seen what Cyrus is willing to do when you cross him."

"Since he came to town, Port Charles has become a battlefield," Mac said, "If pooling our heads together can put a stop to that, I think we need to consider it."

"I know Dante's been doing some work at the foundation for you, Kellie," Laura said, "He hasn't said much, but I get the feeling he might be looking into whether or not Cyrus has been able to get his hooks into the foundation in some way."

"Renault made very public attempts to set up a partnership with the hospital and foundation," Kellie said, "When the board and I refused, he was not happy about that. My uncle and I brainstormed ideas about how Cyrus might try to use the foundation to accomplish his objectives anyway. We haven't seen anything yet, but we're not done looking either."

"Distribution?" Mac asked, "In the supplies you provide to the families you help?"

"That's our theory," Kellie said, "But like anything Cyrus does, proving it is the issue. Dr. Westbourne, do you have information on this drug that Cyrus is developing."

"It's on a flash drive," Britt replied.

"I'd like a copy of it," Kellie said, "I can see if any of my contacts have seen anything like this before."

"I'd like the information as well," Robert said, "The WSB might be of use here."

"I can get that to you," Britt said, "But what do I do in the meantime. I'm sure Cyrus is going to try to kill me again."

"I'm sure we can arrange some sort of witness protection," Robert said.

"Rumor has it, the commissioner's old team mates didn't survive witness protection from Cyrus," Britt said, "I'm not sure I'd trust witness protection."

"Other protection could be arranged," Kellie said, "If that's what you want, both you and Jordan. I guess the real question is what is your next move."

"Unfortunately, right now, we have no proof Cyrus had anything to do with what happened at the hospital," Mac said, "Other than him telling the commissioner there was no need to check on the power outage at GH."

"Cyrus and his lawyers will spin that all day long," Laura said, "Even if Jordan testifies."

"Jordan right now will be the subject of an IA investigation," Robert said, "and placed on administrative leave in the meantime."

"I don't think that's the best course of action," Jordan said, "I'm still able to do my and job lure Renault into a false sense of security and gather evidence against."

"For how long until TJ's abducted or threatened again?" Robert asked.

"What do you think I've been trying to do this whole time," Jordan said, "I've been doing my job and trying put Cyrus Renault away for good this time."

"Whether you want to admit it or not, Commissioner," Kellie said, "You're compromised. If that were the truth, you would have been having this conversation with the Mayor or D.A. as soon you realized it. Not scrambling to cover your tracks."

"I know you have a history of working with law enforcement," Jordan said, "But maybe you should keep your nose out things you obviously know nothing about."

"Little Miss Mob Queen's right," Britt said, "You really should stop pretending your hands are clean in all this. For all we know you told the truth about falsifying evidence against Renault to save yourself, not do the right thing. You probably knew the truth because you helped falsify it with your team."

Jordan's face fell…

"Whatever Jordan knew and when," Laura said, "Doesn't concern you two. But yes, Jordan, you'll be placed on administrative leave while IA investigates the matter. That should also mean that Renault can no longer use you."

"We can go back to our regular patrol patterns," Mac said, "Hopefully get evidence against Renault."

"Mac," Laura said, "Will you be the acting commissioner?"

"Yes," Mac said, hesitantly.

"Dr. Westbourne," Laura said, "I'm hoping you can continue working at the hospital. Cyrus will have to save face in order not to arouse suspicions. If you can find out anything else, great. If not, just do your best to keep Cyrus from totally wreaking havoc. And Kellie as she mentioned would be willing to assist you with any security you might need."

Britt thought about it, "Alright, I'll do it. But if he tries to attack me again, all bets are off."

The Warehouse

Jason and Max arrived at the meeting before any of the other families. Jason was sitting at the head of the table when Nina Wu and Buscema walked and took their places.

"What's this about, Mr. Morgan?" Buscema asked.

"When Novak gets here," Jason said.

"He sends his regards," Cyrus said walking in, "I'm honored he extended the invitation for me to join you tonight."

"That seems out of order," Jason said, "We haven't discussed issuing any invitations yet."

"Mr. Morgan's correct," Mrs. Wu said, "It is presumptious for you be here."

"While I'm here now," Cyrus said, "I have a proposal I think would benefit us all."

"That's not why I called this meeting," Jason said, "You should leave."

"That won't happen," Cyrus said, "I was invited…"

"So you say," Jason said, "By someone who's not here."

"All the same, I am a business associate whether you like it or not," Cyrus said.

"Sit down, Mr. Renault," Mrs. Wu said, exasperated, "We'll allow you to stay for now."

"Thank you," Cyrus said, still standing, "I'm glad someone around here has sense. My first order of business is to discussion the transition of power in the Corinthos Organization and whether or not Morgan really should be sitting at the head of the table. From what I hear, Morgan's leadership is questioned by the organization. I don't see how he can be the head of the families when he hasn't established his leadership within his own organization."
