Author's Note: So in regards to Franco and his death with Jason being framed and going to prison on the show. I haven't decided how that will play out here in this story. I'm just going to leave that up in the air at this point in time. I'd also left the whole FrankenDrew aspect where Franco ended up with Drew's memories up in the air too and that tied into why Peter killed him. I really don't know what to do with that. Eventually, I'll sort that out as I continue writing the story.
General Hospital
"Lizzie, tell the doctors, I'm good to go," Johnny whined, "It's just a graze."
"You needed stitches," Liz replied, "And you're not the one who has to listen Dr. Westbourne go on and on about how you got blood all over her office."
"I'm sure she'll survive," Johnny said.
"Thanks to you anyway," Liz said, "I still don't understand how making yourself a target for Britt Westbourne of all people was the best way to defuse that situation."
"Lizzie, you know it was more complicated than that," Johnny said, "Cyrus certainly was busy making use of the power outage. Thank you for helping Francis get Kelsey out of the hospital."
"I'm just glad Felix was able to get the laundry staff to distract Cyrus," Liz said, "I can't believe he was down there of all places during a power outage."
"You and me both," Johnny said, "Tell Felix thank you as well."
"Have you heard from Francis?" Liz asked.
"He's at the PCPD," Johnny said.
"Dev got out alright?," Liz asked.
"Felix got him out a side entrance," Johnny said, "Francis found him and sent him home before the PCPD found him."
"What was Francis thinking handing Dev a gun though," Liz said, "He's Cam's age."
"I doubt Francis made that decision lightly," Johnny said, "Wouldn't surprise me given the kid's history if he was familiar with guns either. Sounds like Felix made needing to use that unnecessary, thankfully."
"But still," Liz said, "I just wish…"
"If Cyrus or one of his goons weren't so easily distracted," Johnny said, "What then? Leave them without any form of protection?"
"Dammit, Johnny, why do you have to make thing less black and white here?" Liz replied.
"In this case, I wish I didn't have to," Johnny said.
"Don't let something like that be necessary again," Liz said, "Now if you promise to take it easy, meaning go straight home and rest, I'll put in a good word for you with the doctor."
"Whatever you say, Lizzie," Johnny replied.
"No, that's not good enough," Liz said, "I want to be able to trust you're not going to immediately put yourself in the line of fire guarding Kellie and her kids."
"You know I can't do that," Johnny said.
Liz looked at Johnny, "Of course, if Kellie gets those instructions…"
"No, no, no HIPPA and patient doctor confidentiality apply," Johnny said.
"But aren't she and Francis listed as emergency contacts for you," Liz said.
"You're a cruel woman, Lizzie," Johnny said, dodging the answer as Liz left the room.
The Warehouse
"Sit down and shut up, Cyrus," Jason said, standing up, "Your invitation is still revocable."
"It's a valid question," Cyrus said as Jason nodded to Max and Trent who moved to both sides of Cyrus.
"Or Max and Trent will escort you out," Jason said.
"There's no need for brute force," Cyrus said. Seeing the remaining families were content to sit back and watch rather than intervene, Cyrus sat down.
"It's comes to my attention that there's a perception that I'm not the one in charge of the Corinthos organization," Jason said, "I don't know how or why the rumors started. But I want to make it perfectly clear that I am in charge and no one else is."
"You'll have to forgive us Mr. Morgan if we're skeptical," Buscema said, "I heard from Mr. Renault himself the recently widowed Mrs. Corinthos was issuing orders."
"There is speculation your wife might want to take her father's place as head of the organization," Mrs. Wu said.
"That's why I called this meeting to address those rumors," Jason said, "I can only assume Mr. Renault is trying to stir up trouble. But Sonny's widow doesn't have anything to do with the business and neither does my wife."
"Well your wife does seem to have divided loyalties," Cyrus said, "I mean the way I heard it she was in league with Lorenzo Alcazar to take down the mob years ago. So if she doesn't want to take it over, is she willing to turn the other cheek so to speak?"
"Kellie had no knowledge of her Uncle's activities years ago," Jason said.
"If Kellie Corinthos-Morgan wanted to take us down," Mrs. Wu said, "She could have done so by now. The fact that she hasn't speaks volumes to her loyalty. She certainly wouldn't have married Mr. Morgan the way she did when some of you boneheads thought you'd railroad her into marriage. As far as I can tell Jason has made his intentions clear to run the organization with no interference from his wife or the widow Corinthos, I see no further reason to question his leadership."
Cyrus looked at Buscema as if to encourage him to speak up. Buscema was silent.
"Since Mr. Renault happens to be here," Jason said, "I'd like to discuss recent events at General Hospital."
"I'm not sure I understand what you mean," Cyrus replied, "Unfortunately, someone attacked our esteemed Chief of Staff during a power outage. But I'm sure that had nothing to do with any of you. We're fortunate Mr. O' Brien and Mr. Alcazar happened to be at the hospital to save Dr. Westbourne life. I frankly don't' understand what that has to do with this meeting."
"Do you want to explain to me why at the same time the power went out, my daughter's guard called my wife because not only was her regular pediatrician unexpectedly unavailable," Jason said, "But the doctor filling in tried to take my daughter for tests unaccompanied and attacked the guard when he refused to let that happen."
"I don't know anything about that," Cyrus said, "But I can promise you that I'll look into the irregularities in protocol to ensure something like that can never happen again. I assume your daughter is okay."
"She's fine," Jason said, "No thanks to you."
"You can't possibly hold me responsible for the chaos caused by obviously disturbed individuals at the hospital," Cyrus said.
"I can and I will," Jason said, "At the very least, it happened at General Hospital on your watch or are you not the chairman of the board."
"This is ludicrous," Cyrus said, "Coming from the man who kidnapped my mother."
"That's a very serious allegation, Mr. Renault," Mrs. Wu said, "Considering your mother was found in your room and claims you kidnapped her."
"My mother's mind is cracked," Cyrus said, "You can't believe anything the woman say."
"Be that as it may," Nina said, "A child was obviously targeted in your hospital. I'd suggest you proceed with caution."
"If anyone and I mean anyone targets, my family again," Jason said, "There will be consequences."
"Well if that's settled," Cyrus said, "Then I have a proposal to discuss with you."
"Your acceptance at this table hasn't even been established," Jason said, "We won't be discussing any proposals tonight."
"We're all here," Cyrus said, "Why not discuss it now along with my seat at the table."
"It's late," Buscema said, "I have places to be."
"Agreed," Mrs. Wu said, "To be honest, Mr. Renault, you haven't earned your spot."
"Now listen here," Cyrus said, "I've been working extremely hard to set up shop in Port Charles and I could make us a lot of money."
"You've attracted too much attention," Jason interrupted.
"I have to agree with Mr. Morgan," Mrs. Wu said, "What happened at the hospital is a disgrace. Part of why our partnership works is because we do everything possible to maintain profile. You however seem to revel in drawing attention to yourself."
"I disagree," Cyrus said when a phone rang. Brando answered from the corner.
"We're done here," Jason said.
"Mr. Renault," Brando said, "We need to leave. I just got word one of your ships exploded in the harbor."
Cyrus walked over to Jason and yanked him up by his shirt, "Do you have any idea how much money you cost me?"
Max pulled his gun and aimed it at Cyrus. Brando and the other guards pulled their guns.
Jason nodded at Max and everyone else to put their guns down, "Your inability to protect your ship isn't my fault."
"When I'm through…" Cyrus started to say, then composed himself, "I obviously have other matters to attend to right now. I look forward to discussing business with you all at another time."
Cyrus made his way out the door with Brando.
"Until next time," Buscema said, leaving with his people.
"Well done, Mr. Morgan," Mrs Wu said, "I'm glad to see you have every intention of ensuring a smooth transition as head of Corinthos Organization."
"I appreciate your support," Jason said.
"Well, the way we've done things has worked well for us," Mrs. Wu said, "I see no reason to change that now. However, I'm not sure Mr. Renault understands that."
"He'll won't have a choice but to understand that," Jason said.
Outside the warehouse, Cyrus and Brando were walking when a knife, with deadly accuracy, flew very close to Cyrus, almost hitting him.
