Brando and Cyrus startled and reached for their guns.

"You can leave your weapons where they are, gentlemen," Kellie's voice came out of the darkness, "If I had any intention of actually hitting you, I would have done so."

Cyrus and Brando looked to see Kellie approaching.

"I would think you'd have better things to do than harass me, Mrs. Morgan," Cyrus said, "Rumor has it your daughter was the target of the attacks at the hospital."

"Consider this a warning," Kellie said, "If you ever come after my children again, I won't miss."

"That sounds like a threat, Mrs. Morgan," Cyrus said, "I doubt your law enforcement buddies would appreciate you harassing innocent citizens. I can assure I know nothing about…"

"Save your bullshit for someone that will actually believe it, Cyrus," Kellie interrupted.

"Where's your little lapdog, O' Brien?" Cyrus asked, "It's little a risky for the wife of the new Don to be out by herself. Any number of things could happen."

"My security is none of your concern," Kellie said, "But they are around. I wouldn't suggest trying anything."

"One of these days, Mrs. Morgan," Cyrus said, moving to closer to Kellie, "Someone's going to knock you off that high and mighty pedestal you've placed yourself on. You can't believe you're invincible forever."

"That would've been my father," Kellie quipped.

"I wouldn't come any closer," Brick said, stepping out for the shadows, gun drawn.

"That's got to sting," Cyrus said, stepping back, "Bring demoted to lapdog."

"Shows what you know," Brick said, "I consider it an honor escort Mrs. Corinthos-Morgan about."

"Mr. Renault, we really should get moving," Brando said, "We shouldn't keep the PCPD waiting."

"I guess it is my civic duty to ensure the law is upheld," Cyrus said, "Unlike some people who seem to enjoy blowing up other people's property."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Kellie asked.

"Like you don't know," Cyrus said, "I'm sure you helped your husband blow up my ship."

"For all I know you're making stuff up again," Kellie said, "But if it's true someone took out one of your shipments. Good for them."

Cyrus moved forward and grabbed Kellie's arm, "Listen here. I've had enough of your snarky comments and attitude."

Before Brick could intervene, Kellie grabbed his arm and yanked it behind his back, "Don't ever come near my family again. You won't like the consequences."

Kellie released Cyrus and stepped back, "Have a nice day."

"Is everything okay here?" Jason asked as he and Max approached the group. Mrs. Wu and her guard weren't far behind.

"I just dropped my knife," Kellie said, grabbing her knife.

"We were just leaving," Brando said.

"I suggest you keep your wife in line, Morgan," Cyrus said.

"I don't know what went on here," Jason said, "Just stay away from my wife. Even if you accidentally end up in the same place as her. Walk away. Same goes for my children."

"And if she comes looking for me," Cyrus asked as he and Brando walked away, "I make no promises."

"Shouldn't be an issue," Kellie yelled after him.

"What are you doing here at all?" Jason asked.

"I was out for a walk," Kellie said.

Jason looked at Kellie skeptically.

"It's nice to see you, Mrs. Morgan," Mrs. Wu said, "I'm sure the two of you would like to get home to your daughter."

Mrs. Wu and her guard walked away before Kellie or Jason could respond.

"Let's go home," Jason said.

"Probably best we make ourselves scarce," Brick said.

Alexis and Lorenzo's House

"What in god's name were you thinking?" Alexis said, "Storming General Hospital and possibly making a hostage situation worse."

"Look, Johnny, intervened," Lorenzo said, "I had to react."

"Tell that to someone that doesn't know you," Alexis said, "Don't Kellie and Jason have people to do that stuff for them."

"Yes, but it does take time to get people there," Lorenzo said, "Not to mention Jason needed to be seen some place public away from General hospital, so as not to be held up from other places he needed to be later. He and Max were out."

"You dragged our daughter into it," Alexis said, "Sam who said she didn't want to be in the cross fire of the Mob. But ever since Drew left she's seems to be in the middle of something dangerous."

"One, Sam did not go into the hospital," Lorenzo said, "She stayed outside with Kellie waiting for one of the nurses and Dev to sneak Kelsey out through the morgue."

"Did that go as planned?" Alexis asked.

"Not quite," Lorenzo said, "She and Kellie had to go into the morgue when Cyrus ended up with the cart Kelsey was in. Thankfully the laundry room staff intervened, distracted Cyrus, and they all got out of there, quietly. The main activity took place elsewhere in the hospital obviously."

"Can you promise me that you can stay out of the mayhem the mob is causing?" Alexis asked.

Lorenzo was silent.

"I can't," he finally said, "Our grandson, Danny, could have died because of Cyrus Renault. Now Kelsey was in crosshairs, and General Hospital is his own personal playground. Nothing is off limits for Renault, he's proven that time and again. If he does something with the foundation, I really can't stay clear of it then."

"Do you know how infuriating it is when I know you're right and I don't want you to be," Alexis said, "Don't answer that."

"Wasn't going to, counselor," Lorenzo replied.

"I hate that you're right about a lot of things in this situation," Alexis said, "But what I hate the most is knowing that as long Cyrus Renault out and about, he's free do whatever he wants and he doesn't care how many innocent bystanders get hurt. It leaves the rest of us scrambling to take cover or like you today, do damage control."

"I wish I could promise that Cyrus and organized crime wouldn't touch us," Lorenzo said, "But we both know that's going to happen. Not easily. Not when we have so many family members connected to Sonny and Jason and myself even though I'm out of the organized crime bit."

"Part of me always hope the last enemy is always the last one, Helena, your father, your brother, Shiloh, Garrett, the Jeromes," Alexis said, "But there's always another one."

"If we're honest, there always will be," Lorenzo said, "Especially here in Port Charles."

Kellie and Jason's House

"What were you really doing down by the warehouse tonight," Jason asked when they got home after checking on the kids sleeping, "You were supposed to out of sight. Only be close if we needed to bring you into the meeting for any reason."

"Sending Cyrus the message you know you wanted to send but couldn't," Kellie said, "Because you had to make nice even though I'm pretty sure he wasn't invited."

"No, he wasn't," Jason said, "Novak skipped out and supposedly extended the invitation."

"You would be well within your rights to throw him out, literally," Kellie said.

"It wasn't the smart move though," Jason said, "Besides one of his shipments blew up."

"So he was telling the truth then for once," Kellie said.

"Look, Cyrus was humiliated today," Jason said, "You don't need to be antagonizing him intentionally."

"Jason, today was a one time only thing of me seeking Cyrus out," Kellie said, "I said what I needed to say. If Cyrus proves he didn't get the message, there won't be any talking at that point."

"Kellie, if it comes that," Jason said, "I'll handle it."

"He went after our daughter, Jason," Kellie said, "For the first time since my kids were born, I have to send them away without me or any parent indefinitely. I've never had to do that before. It's not the first time I've sent them to the island if a situation got a little hot, but it was always me or Tyler going with them or only leaving them for a few days before going back and this…Thank god, Charles and Monica offered to go with them…but…"

"You don't have to stay," Jason said, "You can go with the kids. Let someone else investigate or look into the foundation stuff. You can run point on what you need to from the island."

"That's just it, Jason," Kellie said, "I can't just walk away a from a fight. Part of me thinks that I should but…"

"Shoulds were never your strong suit," Jason said, "Not when your gut tells you to do the opposite even if its' the hard thing to do."

"I can't deny that," Kellie said, "The PCPD has asked for my help with their investigation into Renault's activities. They want to combine efforts. The commissioner is now being investigated by internal affairs."

"No surprise there," Jason said, "Anything else?"

"Apparently Cyrus has been developing a new drug at GH," Kellie said, "Dr. Westbourne found out too much and that's why Cyrus attacked her today. Laura Robert, and Mac are hoping she can provide me information and see what some of my resources come up with."

"Just remember you can always change your mind," Jason said.

"Jason, it's not that simple," Kellie said, "My child was threatened. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I could actually do something about it. With Garrett it was awful, I felt like I was always reacting or waiting or just running. I kept hoping something would work. Every time he came around, I felt more and more like a…."

"More and more like what?" Jason said

"I felt a like victim most of the time and useless," Kellie said, "Everything about what he did was personal on a level that no one should have to endure. Not that Cyrus isn't bad."

"You don't have the history with Cyrus that you did with Garrett and his brother," Jason said.

"It feels good to do something about Cyrus," Kellie said, "Not just runaway or wait or hope for the best. I don't know what that makes me. As much as I hate sending the kids to the island by themselves…"

"It gives you some sense of control after feeling like you didn't have any control for so long," Jason said, "None of what happened with Tyler's illness was easy. From there was just one thing after another for you. I can see why you'd feel like you'd want to stay and fight."

"I spent most of my life running for one reason or another," Kellie said, "Running from foster homes, from Ethan, from my dad and Port Charles, from Tyler. Eventually I was stop running. After Tyler died, it started up again."

"Those were different circumstances before Tyler died," Jason said.

"But I stayed in Port Charles this time," Kellie said, "Somewhere along the way, it felt like I stopped running. I made a home here with you and the kids. I don't want to give that up without a fight. If that means, facing down Cyrus Renault instead of running, I'm in. So maybe the safe option would be to not have sought him out, I told you I was in this with you. I don't know but maybe I'm starting to come to terms on some level with the parts of me that more Corinthos and Alcazar then anyone wants to admit instead of running from them."

"Okay," Jason said.

"Just okay," Kellie said, "You're not going to try to convince me otherwise."

"Wouldn't do any good?" Jason asked.

"No," Kellie said, "I don't any of that for sure, the whole Corinthos-Alcazar thing.."

"That's part of you has always been there," Jason said, brushing Kellie's hair back, "You've tapped into it when you know it's to your advantage. If you need to figure out how part of you exists now with you are, I'm here for you whatever you need."

Kellie nodded in acknowledgement and then asked, "How did the meeting go? Were you able to assure the families of your leadership?"

"For now at least," Jason said, "They backed me despite Cyrus's attempts at doing otherwise. They also weren't pleased with Cyrus just showing up or with the negative attention he's been attracting. They're content to see how it plays out for now."

"Losing a shipment," Kellie said, "In an explosion, that's not good for business. It's safe guess you know absolutely nothing about that."

"I think I'm tired of talking about business," Jason said, taking Kellie's hand and leading her towards the stairs.

"What else did you have in mind to talk about?" Kellie asked.

"Who says we have to say anything?" Jason replied when they were interrupted by a knock at the door.

"PCPD," Chase's voice said from the door.

"They were supposed to contact Diane to question you," Kellie said.

"That was before a certain ship blew up in the harbor," Jason said.

"Go be all stone cold silent for the detective," Kellie said, "I'll call Diane."
