Author's Note: Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! Happy reading!

"Sonny Corinthos," Sonny replied more to himself at first, "Where'd the Sonny come from?"

"I don't actually know," Kellie said, "By the time we'd met you'd been Sonny for a long time."

"By the time we'd met?" Sonny confused, "Was I not part of your life at some point?"

"My mom's parents shipped her off some place before she ever told you she was pregnant with me," Kellie said, "When she died I went into foster care and that was most of my childhood."

"Did your mom ever tell you anything about me?" Sonny said, "Didn't CPS have some way of trying to track me down?"

"Nothing," Kellie said, "Any trail there might have been, she either destroyed or lost between the drugs and whatever else she was doing. The only thing she left with any information was a letter to be given to me when I was adult."

"So you got the letter and used it to find me?" Sonny asked.

"No," Kellie said.

"Wait, you didn't have any interest in trying to find your father?" Sonny replied.

"I blamed you for not being there when I was kid," Kellie said, "And I'd already started to build a life for myself."

"I think I get it," Sonny said, "If you were happy why mess that up. I'm sure that if I'd known, I would have taken care of you. I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you growing up."

"I know you would have," Kellie said.

"If you didn't come looking for me," Sonny said, "How did we find each other?"

"That's quite a story," Kellie said, "I'm not really sure where to start."

"That bad?" Sonny asked.

"So you've just been tending bar here," Kellie replied, "What else have you been doing?"

"Pretty much that. There was a shady businessman paying people to vandalize business, cause crime, and drive property values down, force people to sell their businesses," Sonny said, "We stopped that."

"How much crime are we talking about?" Kellie asked.

"Robbers shot some people trying to rob a community event," Sonny said, "Tried to rob the Tan-O."

"And you know how to use a gun?" Kellie asked.

"Yeah, not sure how or why," Sonny said, "Or why I understood what Elijah was doing."

"Your line of work requires those skills, the gun, and understanding shady business deals," Kellie said.

"What am I, some sort of cop?" Sonny asked.

"Oh no," Kellie said, trying to stifle laugh.

"What's so funny about me being a cop?" Sonny asked, "it's possible. It might even make sense given my skills I seem to have."

"Which could just as easily be used by someone running on the other side of the law," Kellie said.

Sonny looked at her, "Naaah, are you serious?"

"You're the one the cops try to catch,' Kellie said, "You're the head of an alleged criminal empire."

"What are you talking about?" Sonny responded, "That can't be right."

"You grew up in Bensonhurst, New York," Kellie said, "worked your way up the ranks and eventually took over your own organization."

"Organization, what is this like the mob or something," Sonny asked.

Kellie just looked at him and shrugged.

Sonny stood up and paced the area, "That just can't be."

He spotted Johnny and looked back at Kellie, "That's why you have a bodyguard."

"I can't entirely blame you for that," Kellie said, "I made my own enemies."

"No, no, no," Sonny said, "It better not be because of whatever business I have."

"Yes and no," Kellie said, "I have enemies for the work my foundation does against human trafficking. Some of your enemies have targeted me to get to you and vice versa. My enemies tried to use me to take over your territory in the process. My mother turned out to be the sister of your former enemy."

"Former enemy," Sonny asked, "Please don't tell me.."

"Uncle Lo's still alive if that's what you're asking," Kellie said, "The two of you get along for my sake."

"Good. But you're not in the business, just an occasional target," Sonny said, "Do you have siblings? Do they have guards?"

"Yes, a number of them," Kellie said, pulling out her phone and showing Sonny photos, "They don't have the same level of guards I do, except for the kids. Avery and Donna have guards. But the adults, Dante, Michael, Kristina, don't usually have them unless there's a reason. Your wife, Carly, has a guard. You have guards and security all over your home and business."

"I have a wife, Carly?" Sonny replied.

"Yeah," Kellie said, "You've been married on and off since before we met."

Sonny let out a deep breath.

"That explains the wedding ring," Sonny said, standing up a pace.

"Are you okay?" Kellie asked.

"It's a lot to take in," Sonny said, "I hear everything you're saying. It just doesn't quiet seem real."

"I know it's a lot," Kellie said, "You get time to process. To figure out what happens next. Jason's on his way to help figure that out."

"Jason," Sonny asked.

"Your best friend and business partner," Kellie said, "And my husband."

"Your husband?" Sonny replied, "Please tell me that you weren't forced to marry him like some business deal."

"One of my enemies teamed up with your associates to attempt to force me to marry into their families to gain control of your holdings and my foundation" Kellie said, "Marrying Jason put the kibosh on that. It worked out. It's a real marriage. Jason and I have a daughter together."

"I think I need some time to think," Sonny said.

"Of course," Kellie said, "Johnny and I will head back to the Tan-O. I need to finish going over the foundation stuff with Phyllis. Do you have a cell phone?"

Sonny nodded.

"What's your number?" Kellie said, "I'll text you mine. That way you can get ahold of me."

On their way back to the Tan-O, Kellie and Johnny saw another familiar face walking into the Tan-O

Johnny pulled Kellie out of sight.

"What the hell is Peter August doing in Nixon Falls?" Kellie said.

"Nothing good," Johnny said.

"Call the cops," Kellie said, "I'm calling Anna Devane."

The Tan-O

Phyllis was in the back when Nina walked in.

Nina was sitting at the bar when Peter walked in.

"Time's up, Nina," Peter said, "Now where's my daughter? I'm sure you have an update from Valentin by now on his search"

"Peter," Nina said, "Look there haven't been any updates."

"That's not good enough," Peter said, "Unless you want to keep your secret here in Nixon Falls about Mike or should I say Sonny Corinthos."

"That won't be necessary," Nina said smugly.

"If you think your Aunt Liesel will get you out of this situation," Peter said, "You're sadly mistaken. I know you sicced her on me to kill me in St. Lucia. Thankfully, a colleague of mine ensured she stayed out of my way."

"Are you telling me you're responsible for Liesel's disappearance?" Nina replied.

Peter smirked, "Now let's discuss my daughter."

"I can call Valentin if you want," Nina said, "But I'm sure they still don't have a lead."

"No funny business," Peter said.

Nina pulled out her phone and called Valentine who confirmed he didn't have any new leads. Nina ended with a sentence indicating Valentin and Charlotte were staying at the MetroCourt before ending the call.

"See," Nina said, "He has nothing."

"You better think real hard," Peter said, desperately, "Nobody is going to keep me from my daughter. I think you're running out of time."

"You seem kind of desperate, Peter," Nina said as Phyllis walked out, gun drawn.

Peter grabbed Nina, holding her at gun point.

"I'd think twice about that if I were you," Peter said.

Port Charles

Valentin called Anna after Nina called him.

"I don't know what's wrong, but I think Nina's in trouble," Valentin said when she answered.

"What makes you think that?" Anna said.

"She called for an update on the search for Louise," Valentin said, "Said something she'd know I'd know wasn't true."

"Like someone was listening to the conversation," Anna said, "You should go to her. I'll have to take a rain check on helping you though. Kellie Corinthos called. Peter August is in Nixon Falls."

"Nixon Falls, that's where Nina," Valentin said, "That can't be a coincidence."

"Kellie's already called the cops," Anna said, "So hopefully, by the time we get there, he'll be apprehended."

"He seems to have more lives than a cat so," Valentin said.

"I gave Kellie permission to act on behalf of the WSB until I get there," Anna said.

Valentin looked at her.

"Oh come on," Anna said, "She's a former agent and she's more than capable."

"Just remember that when this becomes a public spectacle," Valentin said, "Peter as we know goes for dramatic and over the top. Kellie Corinthos will always take the bold, crazy move if thats what it takes to take anyone down."

"You know what," Anna said, "It usually gets good results. I'm not seeing the problem here."
