"That was a little running?" Richard pants almost dead and lying on the ground, breathing hard.
Yang stretches and bends around, showing off her small sports bra and training shorts that all hug her figure so tightly, it leaves creases and valleys between her ass and breasts. With it, Richard can see even porn pictures can't do her justice, and this was her Beacon body as it is more detailed than ever. "Yep. Now we move onto the weight version of running," she snickers as he groans. Both of them are now around the edge of town and taking a lap on the significant road that surrounds the little place.
"Shouldn't we work on the car to make sure it is working right since we have that plan?" Richard groans from the hot, dry dirt.
Yang grins down at him. "Silly. We have to get you stronger and make sure you know how to use your semblance."
"But you said that what I used wasn't even aura. So how can I have a semblance, and, if I did, wouldn't it be what happened with the rifle?" Richard pants, trying to get his breath back.
Yang smiles gently now and bends down to the side of him. A view that Richard can enjoy when he spots how her shorts are hugging her between her legs, but he looks away, so she doesn't punch him to death. "We call it semblance anyway. Way easier for us and more of a catch-all term from our world in any case."
"Also, can I ask something as I am too scared to ask Blake this?" Richard asks.
"Shoot," Yang waves off and helps him back up.
"Would scratching her behind the ears be very inappropriate? They don't cover that in the show," Richard explains when she raises her eyebrow.
Yang hums and taps her chin. "Really…that's up to them. I don't know much about faunus tricks and thoughts on that. But as I understand it, it would be like an insult from strangers, I think. But for friends…I don't know. Strangers are easier to see since it would be petting a real animal, and faunus is not that," she explains as best she could.
"Ok…helpful," Richard says as she helps him up. Only Yang realized he recovered far faster than he had before unlocking whatever she did.
Yang gives one last leg stretch and smiles. "Okay. Ready for the next lap?"
"…no, but will do it anyway as you say so," Richard says.
"Bitch, I know so. Now let's get running. The last one back has to fix dinner for Blake," Yang says quickly before running off.
"What do you want for dinner?" Richard asks.
"Don't give up so quickly," Yang scolds a bit.
"Oh, you haven't been holding back to keep pace with me?" Richard calls out.
Yang laughs and picks up more speed, Richard's eyes drawn to her bouncing chest and toned ass as she keeps pounding the ground with her footsteps. Richard shakes his head before picking up more speed and starting to stay in place behind her.
"Hey Blake, you doing alright?" Yang asks, entering the house with Richard huffing and gasping for air behind her.
Blake looks up from the couch. "Why is it no matter where you go, there is nothing good on TV?"
Richard coughs for air now. "Beats me. Ask show writers," he gasps before coughing again.
"I am going to go shower. He is all yours, and you two decide what is for dinner," Yang says, closing the door before heading to the bathroom.
Richard keeps panting and slowly falls to the ground. "Ow…"
"Yeah...I expected something like this," Blake says, looking down at him.
"She makes you train like this or this common training at Beacon?" Richard asks.
Blake smiles knowingly. "Yeah."
"Which?" Richard asks.
Blake reaches down and pokes his nose. "Yes."
"You are more playful than the show leads to believe," Richard comments.
Blake shrugs before sighing and lying against the couch. "I never had this much a chance to relax."
"No grimm, no more radical white fang, if not for the monsters appearing…would you find this a paradise?" Richard asks.
Blake smiles wistfully. "Paradise is able to walk everywhere without worry for me."
Richard starts to reach out to Blake before stopping and pulls his hand back and starts to get up to cook. Blake had noticed him reaching out. She could tell he wanted to comfort or encourage her, but he was holding back still. Did he feel that he shouldn't touch his heroes or that he didn't deserve it?
Blake slowly gets up and follows Richard into the kitchen. "Richard?"
"Yes?" Richard asks, checking the fridge.
"You don't have to treat yourself like a lesser being under Yang or me," Blake says, stopping him in his tracks. "We owe you. So don't feel like you have to force yourself to do anything you don't want to," Blake says.
"Am I…I guess you would, seeing as you would have been fighting for recognition by them all your life," Richard says more to himself than Blake.
"Come on. I will help," Blake says, pulling him back to cooking.
Richard sighs as he starts to get everything while Blake washes up. "Hey, Blake…?"
"Yes?" Blake asks, securing her hair for cooking.
Richard slowly gives a smile. "Thanks."
"No, thank you," Blake says, starting to cook with him.
"Ah, it's like watching a newly married couple cook together," Yang says from the counter.
Both cooks sigh and look at Yang as she stands in front of them with only some of Richard's loose shorts and a yellow bra. "Yang…what are you doing?" Blake asks as Richard looks away to not stare at Yang's chest.
"Waiting for the clothes to wash," Yang says simply. "Now enough about that. What about you? Thinking of tying the knot and trying to take him home to meet your parents?" Yang teases, showing she was using this opportunity to tease her back.
"Could you please put on something else?! What if someone sees you and just look at Richard. He is too scared to turn around and look!" Blake yells at her partner.
Yang giggles and waves her off. "Please. No one is going to peek in at the weird guy's place."
"You were running around out there in a sports top, that I am sure was too small for you and shorts. I think they will risk it," Richard mentions.
Yang grins and leans on the counter. "Would you relax. This town is tiny, they are still afraid, and we are all weird."
"…Yang, someone with binoculars is watching us," Blake says happily as she still has her bow on again.
"Fine, I will put on a shirt," Yang says, pulling one out and putting it on.
"Why is it of…" Blake starts before frowning at Yang as Richard goes over and closes all the blinds.
"Wait…why are you wearing my sleep shirt!?" Richard calls.
Yang shrugs. "It's available."
"…I should probably get more clothes for the journey…does my rifle even take the same ammo…what about food and drinks?" Richard says, starting to list things he has to do as he gets back to cooking.
"Yang, what is he going on about?" Blake asks.
"Well, in a few days, we are hitting the road to look for the others. So he is probably thinking over supplies we will need," Yang says.
"He is the kind who likes to prepare beforehand. So kinda the opposite you," Blake says.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Yang accuses, pointing at her.
"You fly by the seat of your pants a lot," Blake informs.
"You know? We need some music…hey, Yang? Can you bring up the one named Stereo on my laptop and hit play?" Ricard requests trying to change the subject.
Yang looks over to his laptop before walking over and rifling through it. Richard sighs in relief and returns to cooking. "Thank goodness," Richard says before hearing the song start, and nearly spit takes. "What did you pick?!" he demands.
"I just hit play, and it was on this song," Yang says, confused.
'Fuck! It must have been on the rwby songs album!' Richard yells in his head before looking to Blake who's ears had shot up and was taking note of the lyrics. "Hey…Blake…it's okay. I think we can get another song," he offers, chuckling nervously.
"It's on the show, isn't it?" Blake asks.
"It's from yours and Sun's perspectives," Richard confirms.
Blake stays silent before sighing. "At least it's honest."
Richard puts down his cooking utensil and walks over, and before he realizes what he was doing, he hugged Blake. "It just reinforces my belief in you as a person," Richard says.
Yang smiles and slowly slinks away to let them have their moment.
After a bit, Richard realized what he was doing and quickly tried to move away. "I am so sorry," Richard apologizes.
Blake holds a slight tint on her cheeks and smiles. "It's fine. I am at least grateful for everything you have done for us. Also, I can tell you want to ask so many questions but are holding back. You may ask."
Richard took a few moments to think that over as he returned to his cooking. "Is it a bad thing to pet a faunus behind the ears?" Richard asks.
Blake lets out a single snark. "That's the first question?" she asks, smiling.
"You are a faunus, something that didn't exist in my world. They also didn't get deep into the social stuff in the show," Richard informs embarrassed.
Blake smiles and sighs. "Only strangers can't touch. Friends are like a pat on the back for us. And…those close…" she trails off and looks away, blushing.
"…can I after we finish cooking?" Richard asks.
Blake glances back at him and nods before returning to her cooking, but more slowly.
Richard soon brought down the spices and started to show them to her to see what she thought and take a smell of it. While this happened, a new song played. "Yang is going to like that one," Richard says, recognizing it from the start of the song.
Blake smiles and tries to find a pan to use. "Why is that?"
"Ah, yeah!" Yang calls when the lyrics start going.
Richard points towards her current room with a spoon. "Because she has already listened to most of it."
"This one of her songs, huh?" Blake asks, listening as it does sound like her.
Richard nods before smiling wider. "She now uses it as her workout song. I saw her in the garage punching a bag of dirt with this song one day."
"Weiss is going to hate that," Blake says, smirking probably.
"Oh right…you didn't get much time with Weiss to talk before the train, did you?" Richard asks.
Blake looks confused towards him. "No. Why? Is it something she said?"
Richard proceeded to tell her everything he could remember that happened to Weiss from what he could remember. From her father forcibly picking her up, to her running away from home, and to the reunion with Ruby and Weiss. "So yeah, all but her brother has turned their back on their father. Who is a real piece of shit and an idiot," Richard says shrugs.
Blake remains silent as he keeps working on their meal. "I see…I wish I can tell I'm sorry."
"We will find her," Richard tries to reassure her, but she can tell he is not sure they will.
Blake slowly nods before smiling for Richard's sake. "Well, at least we have Yang. Two more to go."
"She is so going to mess with us more, right?" Richard asks.
Blake now confidently nods. "Very."
"I believe in preemptive strikes, don't you?" Richard asks, showing her a bottle of hot sauce.
Blake slowly grins and even shows some fangs she has. "Yeah. Exact strikes."
Richard chuckles a bit evilly and starts to make four servings, and one had the hot sauce used on it.
"Hey! What's taking so long for the food?" Yang calls down at them.
"I was about to call you!" Richard calls getting out some sugar and the rest of the milk. Depending on which Yang would go for. Blake hides the fourth dish away to bring out after Yang had suffered a bit.
"So, how is the couple?" Yang asks, coming down.
Blake gives a mock frown to hide their intentions. "Seriously? Still?"
"Well, he did hug and comfort you," Yang says, smirking as Blake gave her the food.
'She handed it to her personally so I will probably be presumed innocent,' Richard hopes.
Yang starts to eat while Blake smirks. "And what do you have to show for it?"
Yang swallows a mouthful and grins. "He saw me naked when he saved me and cleaned me up," she touts, before stopping her spoon pointing as she felt a burning fire in her mouth.
'Here it comes,' Richard thinks, turning around getting drinks to try and cover he didn't know what was coming.
"GAHHHHHH!" Yang yells as her mouth felt like it was on fire, and she spotted the milk and went right for it.
Blake snickers while Yang chugs the milk before glaring to the cat faunus as she slams the carton on the table. "The heck?"
"Payback and for what I know will be coming," Blake informs, bringing out the fourth plate.
Yang groans before drinking more milk to soothe her throat.
After eating, Blake turned to Richard. "On the couch," Blake informs.
Yang watches her confused and sees Richard follow her. "Is this more training or late-night snuggling?" Yang quips and gets a remote thrown her way, which she catches.
Blake sits beside Richard and turns around to let him start. Richard, hesitant at first, reaches up and begins petting behind the ears. Blake's ears flinch while her whole body locks up. Richard slowly starts to scratch her behind the ears, and she, surprisingly, lets out a meow of surprise that she covers her mouth at the sound of. Eventually, Blake ends up laying her head on his lap, letting him have a better angle to scratch while Yang was trying her hardest not to bust a gut laughing.
"This…is amazingly comforting," Richard voices, still softly and slowly scratching away.
"How did you get so good at this?" Blake asks, trying not to purr.
"I had a cat when I was a kid. She was a loveable thing, and I picked this up from pampering her," Richard explains.
Yang tries to hold in her giggles and walk over to them. "Was she a spoiled little kitty?" she asks out through bursts of giggles.
"Zwei wasn't as spoiled as she was," Richard informs.
Yang finally lets out a howl of laughter as she leans against the wall for support. "I now have a new way of dealing with her," she laughs.
"I thought you had the laser pointer?" Richard asks, turning to look at her.
Yang lets out another howl of laughter. "She did look like a cute little kitty chasing the thing."
Blake was enjoying the scratching too much to yell back to Yang, but she would make her pay for that one later. "By the way, Yang, we are starting to work on the car tomorrow?" Richard asks as he keeps scratching away.
Yang tries to calm herself down and hold the laughter in. "Yeah," she giggles. "Tomorrow."
"We may have to replace that hood. Because of the claw marks and the windows," Richard says.
Yang finally gets to the last of her laughter. "Sure…I can get started on stuff we have," she snarks and holds her hands to her mouth to shut up.
"Thanks for seeing us off, Rachel. You have been such a big help," Richard thanks Rachel as they sat on the outside of the town. Blake is currently wearing a cowgirl hat and glasses to hide her ears and eyes.
Rachel smiles and shrugs. "No big deal. Who knew a city slicker could be this much trouble. At least I should thank you for helping us," she points out
"You are helping me a lot too. We would stay longer, but I promised Yang I would help her find her sister," Richard says.
Rachel nods while leaning over past him and sees Yang sitting in the passenger side and Blake digging in the trunk of Richard's car for something. "Yeah. Hey, do me a favor?" she whispers now as Blake stops for a moment when she hears the officer speak to Richard next to her police car on the side of the road.
"Yes?" Richard asks.
Rachel leans over to his ear as she keeps an eye on the two girls. "If you do find them, make sure they are okay. I don't think most of the trauma will follow you…but just in case," she warns and then smiles as she leans back. "And don't worry. I'll watch your place. Maybe it can be my rental or vacation home," she says with a grin.
"I appreciate it as I left most of my stuff in it," Richard says, smiling at her. Neither of them noticing a third set of eyes were on them and watching from afar.
Rachel smirks. "I will take good care of your old memories of the city you crazy goose," she teases and pats his white hair.
Richard shakes his head when he starts to notice the world is distorting around them. Their vision changes and shifts while what looks like heat waves wash over them. "Oh, not now! Yang, Blake!" Richard yells, calling their attention to the distortions that were getting bigger.
Rachel takes her gun out and holds it at the ready. "Richard?" she calls, almost in a demanding tone for answers.
"This is what those monsters keep coming out of," Richard says, making for the car only for Yang to toss him his improved rifle.
"Get ready," Yang warns, activating her gauntlets while Blake takes out her sword.
Richard aims, looking around for anything that exits, but nothing was coming out of them as the distortions around them were just getting bigger and fusing.
As they keep watch, their area starts to change and morph around them. Going away is the desert highway with dirt ground and small shrubby, and in comes lush green trees and grass as far as they can see with lines of trees in their way at times. "What…?" Richard tries to make sense as the view keeps shifting to the forest, and then it ends.
"Dejavu?" Blake asks, looking at Yang.
Richard starts looking around when his eyes meet someone else looking at them from a clearing in the forestry a bit away, and the color drains from his face. "YANG, BLAKE, IT'S THE CRAZY SWORD WIELDING WOMAN I TOLD YOU ABOUT!" Richard yells.
Both girls whirl around, and they spot Herleva standing by a giant lizard that bares its razer teeth at them and hisses. Yang and Blake immediately jump in front of Richard and Rachel with their weapons at the ready. Herleva responds in turn by taking out her sword and holding it up to be prepared to stab at anything quickly.
"I, Herleva Von Eberhard, am here for the thief. Stand aside or face me in combat!" Herleva declares. The lizard roars and swings its dagger-like horn on its head around. It then bears its scaled chest and breathes in before roaring again as a show of intimidation. The large claws dig into the ground and dig up dirt before preparing to charge at them. Herleva places her sword in front of her mount, letting it know to back down and let her handle this.
"Yang, Blake. Be careful. She is very fast," Richard warns.
Yang smiles and cocks her arm back. "Thanks for the heads up," Yang says.
"We are not just going to hand over Richard because of your baseless claim," Blake informs.
"Baseless? I saw him steal the powerful artifact," Herleva accuses and points her sword at him.
"You appeared from nowhere with a creature and pointed your sword at us. We have no idea who you are, and that makes your word meaningless to us," Blake informs.
Herleva grips the hilt of her sword tighter at that point. "One last time. Step. Aside."
"Not happening," Yang informs, cocking her weapons.
Herleva, hearing that, rushes forward, aiming to smack Yang with the side of her greatsword to incapacitate her quickly, but Yang recoils herself to the side to dodge it. Herleva was surprised. It had been a long time since someone was able to keep up with her this well. Herleva raises her shield and blocks Blake as she slashes at her with her sword. She responds by swiping at her only for Blake to dodge and try to move underneath her guard nimbly. Yang meanwhile was running back to rejoin the fight.
Herleva grits her teeth as she had very much underestimated them. She thought she could take them down quickly and get this with. Herleva pushes Blake away with her shield in time for her to bring it back around to block Yang's punch. Herleva fully expected for Yang to hurt herself, punching her magically infused shield.
Yang reared back and punched the shield hard, sending Herleva skidding back fifteen feet before she hit a tree, stopping her. Herleva was in shock. 'What?! How can someone with that build be strong enough to knock me back this far while I'm wearing full plate armor!?'
Rachel starts to aim her pistol at Herleva when Richard puts a hand over it and pushes it down. "That won't help much. Let Yang and Blake handle this. We will only get in the way," Richard advises, watching the battle and keeping an eye on Herleva's pet, so it doesn't sneak around them.
The lizard hisses and stalks around the battlefield, keeping an eye on its master and then the actual target and growls at Richard and Rachel, with the two turning their sights on the beast. "Give me a reason," Richard challenged.
Blake and Yang keep fighting Herleva. They are doing well, considering they are not using any of their dust so far. Herleva is also holding her own against both, which was difficult. If she focuses on one too long, the other will get her, and their fighting styles are very different. Then Blake jumps at her. Herleva thought this was her chance and swung at Blake only for a second Blake to appear behind and kick off her, launching herself clear of the swing. Meanwhile, the one she had cut disappears as if it had been an illusion.
'No…where did she…' Herleva thinks and tries to swing her blade around. Yang gets under the swing before shooting upwards and sends her sword flying high. She then reels an arm back before stopping close to hitting Herleva in the face as she winces and prepares for the strike. 'What are you waiting for?' Herleva asks herself and watches as Yang smirks up to her.
"We told you as before. Richard did not do anything," Blake suddenly says near her, and Herleva turns her gaze to the side and sees the cat girl there with Blake's sword pressing against her skin.
"Alright," Herleva says, dropping her sword and shield onto the ground. "I surrender," Herleva states, showing her hands are clear.
"Alright. Let's talk," Yang says.
Herleva explains that she is a part of a company of knights that had been tasked with retrieving a powerful relic to aid them in their war with the empire of Nippon. While the rest of her company went off to fight nearby enemies, she had entered the temple and fought the monster inside it—a minotaur. Blake and Yang were a bit confused until Richard gave them a brief description of what that was to Herleva's surprise. Herleva then continues stating that she had spotted Richard while fighting the Minotaur, and he had run from the fight. After she had killed the beast, she had gone to retrieve the artifact and found it had no power, which then meant that Richard had somehow stolen it and thus chased him back to his hideout where he made his escape in the strange metal chariot.
"You know. This 'magical' artifact you speak of may not have had powers, to begin with, but was only ceremonial," Blake says, pinching the bridge of her nose before removing her hat, exposing her ears to them to Rachel's shock.
Richard looks between Blake and Rachel before realizing why the blonde girl is in shock. "Oh. Right. Rachel, meet Blake. A cat faunus which is essentially animal people of certain types. Hers is her cat ears…you know RWBY, right?"
"I think I can handle this, Richard. It's probably going to be easier than her," Blake says before leading Rachel away.
"Richard, why don't you tell Herleva here what happened to you? You told us about it," Yang says as neither noticed Herleva doing something.
"Fine, if it will get her off my back," Richard says before clearing his throat and starts telling his side of the story from being transported into that place, to freaking out and running from the monster. He goes on to explain about him packing up all his things, then driving away scared as she had come at him with a sword drawn and blood on her armor. "What do you expect someone to do in that situation?"
Herleva frowns as she sits curled up on the ground. She had acted the entire time irrationally. What she thought was an enemy of the empire or an evil invoker, was a civilian who was running for his life. She shut her eyes and beat herself up at the simple fact she was going against everything that was taught to her. And one of them is observing the situation. But no, she wanted that power and artifact as it would have brought fame, glory, and set the kingdom into a stable position as they loomed for a new king. She sighs and stands before walking towards the man. Both Yang and Blake prepare to fight before the knight holds out an armored hand. "I am sorry for my transgressions. I acted rashly and foolhardy instead of the noble knighthood I represent to be."
"Apology accepted, but do you even know what is going on?" Richard asks, getting a confused look from her.
"What exactly are you talking about?" Herleva questions and slowly drops her hand.
"Well, for one…monsters like werewolves, goblins, or that!" Richard yells with the last part pointing at the Herleva's reptile who was going wall-eyed. "Never existed in my world, and the only mention of them is in myths," Richard informs.
Herleva doesn't seem phased at all by this and slowly turns back to Richard. "And this is a problem how…?"
"Ok let me put it this way. Think of a place that never had to deal with monsters at all. That never was threatened by wildlife for so long that they didn't even build walls around a settlement. Can you imagine that?" Richard asks, becoming more pissed off by the second.
Herleva seems to look up towards the sky in thought while Richard groans and grabs at his hair while he steps off to the side. "Unbelievable. Medieval world. Modern world. All people are the same and can't think beyond their own damn house!" he yells to the sky as if the gods would answer that complaint.
"Richard, come over here for a moment and cool down," Yang says, leading him away for a bit.
Richard groans and pinches his nose. "If I had to deal with a stuck up noble asshole anymore like this…" he mutters while not noticing the black pupils of his eyes gaining a dark copper swirl in them.
"Richard, calm down. Deep breaths," Yang says. 'I am the one having to do this, huh?'
Richard takes a sharp intake of breath at that before slowly turning his gaze at the knight, still looking up at the sky. "She still can't imagine it."
"Try a different way. Like some sort of animal," Yang suggests.
"Do you have wolves?" Richard calls.
Herleva looks over and seems to regard him as if he was an idiot. "Yes?" she says in a questioning tone, wondering where this is going.
"Ok then," Richard says, walking over to her, seemingly calmer now. "Picture this. A shepherd goes his whole life, never seeing a wolf at all. He never had to deal with them and never had to deal with anything that threatens his folk. Can you imagine that?" Richard asks.
Herleva slowly watches his form becoming tense and clothing seemingly bristling like they were fur or scales. Then she moves her gaze from his chest and shoulders to his eyes as he stares her down, waiting for her answer. "Yes. I can imagine such a life."
"Now imagine suddenly a hundred wolves descend on the shepherd and his flock like locusts. What would happen?" Richard asks as his shirt slowly flattens as if there is no more light wind around them.
Herleva thinks about their scenario a little more than the last one while Richard is getting impatient. Just when he was about to speak again, Herleva broke the silence first. "He would panic and run. He would think they are demons from fables and scriptures he had heard of."
"And most likely be chased down and torn to shreds," Richard finishes, happy to get through to her finally.
Herleva slowly turns and walks off to the wide while her lizard mount finally stomps over to her side. "She must be inexperienced," Yang describes quietly to Richard.
"Want to wager on how old she is? I am betting…wait. How long are Remnant's years?" Richard asks.
"Is that important now?" Yang asks.
"Point taken. So I am going to bet she is younger than you and all, but Ruby from your team was seventeen when you entered Beacon," Richard says.
Yang nods. "That's the age for entering that place."
"Yeah, seventeen, that is my bet. What do you think?" Richard asks.
Yang shrugs. "I would be surprised if she lived longer than what we see."
"Also, thanks. I don't know why I was getting so mad," Richard says, smiling at her.
Yang gives a smile back. "Hey. What are good friends for?"
"We are friends?" Richard asks, surprised.
Yang shrugs like she has no idea of him ever consider that thought. "Well…yeah. What kind of person lets two strangers sleep in their house like that? Even if they are his heroes," she adds, winking at him.
"That's very sweet. Thanks," Richard says, smiling.
Yang sighs before looking at the knight girl. "Now, to deal with her."
"Right…where the hell are we?" Richard asks, looking around where they are and even spinning in place.
"Um…could be Vale?" Yang offers while looking as much as she can around the forest and sees any familiar markings or signs in the distance.
"This just keeps getting better, doesn't it?" Richard asks tiredly.
Rachel then screams and groans, and everyone looks over to see her yelling at just the front half of her police car with the other half nowhere in sight. "This portal shit has an area of effect like this?! Bullshit!"
"Should salvage what we can?" Richard asks, looking to Yang for support.
Yang slowly nods. "Yeah…that's a total loss. We need most of the tools," she explains while walking towards Richard's untouched vehicle and opens the trunk to get the tools.
"So how did she take the news?" Richard asks, looking at Blake.
Blake breathes out deeply before grabbing her hat and pulling it off her head. "Somewhat…shaky. But she will be fine."
"Thanks," Richard whispers to her before scratching behind her ears briefly.
Blake meowls and perks her ears up before she feels the scratch and petting end just as fast. Yang lets out a snicker as she walks by with a case of tools and tries to hide it from the shocked cat girl.
"Don't do that so casually," Blake whispers to him.
Richard slowly steps away and takes away his hand from her. "Sorry…"
"Just save it for later," Blake whispers, letting him know he could still do it.
"Alright," Richard says, smiling at her before Herleva walks up.
"You said this wasn't your world, right?" Herleva asks.
Richard raises an eyebrow and turns toward her. "Yes. Isn't it obvious?" he asks slowly as if speaking to a kid about a new subject.
"Well…this is my world, I think," Herleva says, taking a small glance around the area.
Richard takes another look around with her. "That somehow makes a lot more sense…how can you tell?"
"This," Herleva says, showing him an orb. "I was able to contact my house briefly with it. It has enough power to give us directions so we could go there if you have nowhere else to go," Herleva offers.
Richard slowly looks to everyone else as Yang helps Rachel salvage what they could from her car, and Blake looks around the area to make sure nothing else is around them. "Fine."
"Great. It will be quite a walk. Luckily, there is a road nearby," Herleva says, looking in a direction to see if she can measure the distance.
"Walk? We are driving," Richard says as Yang and Rachel come back with what they could salvage.
"So…turns out not much," Yang informs as she and Rachel place the items in the trunk of Richard's car.
"Alright, Herleva, you can lead the way," Richard says, heading for his car to crank it.
"You're with us now?" Yang asks, looking at Rachel.
Rachel looks around and then eyes her car before she looks back at Yang like it is the most stupid question ever.
"Just wanted you to say it," Yang says before getting in the passenger seat.
Rachel shakes her head unamused as she gets into the backseat with Blake.
"Let's go," Richard says, cranking the car with Herleva already in the saddle of her reptile.
Herleva raises her eyebrow at how this metal carriage can help that much before remembering the ones back in the city. The car then comes to life as it rumbles and starts to move. She then grabs the orb and looks to it as she makes it send out another pulse of magic. The sphere begins to pool magic inside it and swirl around before it stops and presses against the durable glass. Herleva kicks her legs into the lizard's sides before starting to steer it as it runs. Richard revs his car before driving off after the two and wonders if this car can make it for long in this world.
