Richard ends up looking at all the carnage of the city rather than any dangers that lie ahead. The city he was first in where it all started, doesn't even compare to what happened here. The cars were either crashed into something, turned over, or on fire. Stores have their windows and doors broken into, with many of them looted and stripped of valuables. Papers flew in the wind as one flew by in front of him. Richard snatches it out of the air and reads it to see it is a newspaper. His eyes scan over the headlines to see it is mostly about the many monster attacks happening around the area and fears of it moving closer towards the inner regions. Richard takes a glance around before huffing. 'Yeah. Too late guys,' he thinks while reading the rest of the headlines before flipping it over, stopping in his tracks. "Yep, all went to shit," Richard summarized.

As they continue to walk down the street, they all freeze when some people run across their path from an alley to another. All of them, from what glances they can get, wear scraps of clothing that seems ripped to shreds while some of them have scratches and cuts. Though, they also noticed a few more things. "Was that an all-girl group of five?" Ruby asks the obvious, wondering where all the bodies were and why they haven't even seen a guy from the distance they could see. All they could ever see is just women and girls run by.

Both Rachel and Richard look to each other, already guessing the answer based on their time back in their hometown. "Arm up. I am betting we are about to get company," Rachel says.

"What makes you say that?" Weiss asks, all of them now taking out their weapons at the ready.

"Because a large group like that running as quickly as they are means something is pushing them to be like that," Rachel explains and aims her gun where the group of girls came from.

"Those sounds are familiar," Herleva says as they heard loud thuds.

Richard steadies himself as the thudding gets closer. "I might have an idea what," he says, slowly aiming his aim upwards if his guess is correct.

Out of the alley comes a massive hulking horned beast that both Richard and Herleva know right off the bat. "Minotaur," they both mutter. The minotaur turns his gaze away from the running group of girls to the new group nearby. It then huffs and roars and tries to charge at them with his ax raised only for a loud bang and a shining red bullet to fly off past the girls and hit it in the chest, blowing a chunk clean off. The minotaur freezes in place before falling with a heavy thud. The girls turn and look to see Richard lying on the ground while his gun lies beside him, the barrel smoking.

"Richard!" Yang calls worried and rushes over to him. "You okay?" she asks as she looks him over.

"Ow…" Richard groans. "Wasn't expecting that much of a recoil."

"You put it down with a single bullet…what kind of gun are you using?" Rachel asks, impressed.

"The same shoulder again, huh?" Yang says, examining the injury.

Richard gives a happy pained chuckle. "Heh, chicks dig scars," he laughs off before wincing as Yang feels around the sore area.

"Well, it's not fully dislocated, at least," Yang says as Ruby comes to help.

"A little help, girls," Richard requests, holding out his arm with the bad shoulder.

"What have we learned about gun safety, Richard?" Ruby asks.

Richard groans and lets his arm fall to the ground. "Plant your feet and brace yourself for a mule kick."

"Eh, good enough," Yang says before popping his arm back in and makes him yell out in pain before he quiets down.

"Pain tolerance and timing is getting better," Blake humorously notes down.

"Har har," Richard groans, starting to sit up and slowly roll his arm around to test it.

"For the love of…Yang, you're not supposed to be so rough. Don't you remember the lessons?" Weiss asks facepalming.

Yang shrugs. "It works, doesn't it?" she asks as Richard starts to get to his feet now, but still groaning in pain.

"Well what now?" Richard asks while getting his gun back.

"We have to keep moving," Herleva speaks up and has everyone look at her as she looks over the corpse of the bull monster. "That noise would have drawn their attention towards us."

"Oh, you don't know. Maybe one of the buildings coll…there goes another in the distance," Ruby says as another collapses.

"Still, we should move. Richard probably is not up for fighting after that," Rachel says.

"Hardly. Can still carry shit thankfully," Richard assures and looks around where they are before rushing to a magazine booth. "Okay," he mutters while taking a city map and looks it over. "I rather stay away from big-time shopping areas and tourist attractions. There might be too many monsters and people, which is what we want to avoid. Neighborhoods are a better bet, and smaller side shops…here's one strip of shops," he says, pointing to a spot while turning to the rest. He then notices the stares and smiles the girls are giving him. "What? Do I have something else broken on me?"

Ruby giggles. "No. It's just cute seeing you act this way."

"Think it's all looted?" Yang asks.

'What is it with women and shopping?' Richard thinks, trying to think of how to respond to that when they started to hear many footfalls.

Herleva looks down the alley where the minotaur came from and scowls heavily. "I am guessing they are not here to greet us. We have to move, now," she insists before running away, grabbing the map after Richard marks it.

"We won't get away in time," Weiss warns, hearing the noise. "They would spot us…unless…" she starts grimly.

"No," Richard immediately denies, knowing what she was thinking.

"Richard, look at the situation. We got monsters coming at us in seconds, and we don't have time to run away and clear the view from the street. Someone has to distract them," Weiss argues.

"And no. Not you," Blake warns, shutting him up by covering his mouth.

"You couldn't distract enough, and now you are hurt," Yang adds.

"I can do enough damage, and this thing is crazy powerful. I bet I can blow a hole through that alley," Richard states, pushing Blake's hand down.

"Yeah, but you are not used to it, and this is not an automatic weapon. It's like mine," Ruby adds.

Richard frowns. "I can still handle myself what are you doing?" he suddenly asks as Rachel's wraps cuffs around his wrists.

Rachel huffs, grabbing his now tied arms. "Shutting you up. Girls, choose amongst yourself who will stay even though it pains me to say it," she nutters while pushing Richard away.

"Freezerburn?" Yang asks Weiss.

Weiss nods while they step up to the alley. "Yeah…what do I need to expect?"

"Anything," Yang says, cracking her knuckles. "Also, remind me to ask why Rachel kept handcuffs all this time later," Yang adds.

Weiss smiles and readies her sword. "Just be sure to keep up like the old days."

"Can you?" Yang asks.

"Well I am limited. I can't summon like I once did," Weiss informs.

"Great, now you tell me," Yang says, rolling her eyes before they saw it. Goblins. A hoard of them coming and barreling at them. All of them have some kind of flimsy metal for armor and a metal or wooden piece to club with while half of them carry daggers that have their blades covered in muck. Yang goes first and punches a shot down the alleyway. The spread of pellets hits the walls, but most of them penetrate through the metal pieces of armor and sends many down.

"Good luck!" Ruby calls before she and Blake run to where the others went.

Weiss looks to her dust levels and sees them short of full, so she takes the highest one she has of fire and swings her blade in front of her. A few balls of fire conjure in front of her before they shoot forward. The goblins cry out as the flames hit them in the head or chest, setting them ablaze and making them try to run around to put it out. Weiss smiles and pulls her sword behind her before stabbing forward. The tip slicing through a flimsy aluminum foil helmet and leaves the goblin dead in his tracks while another behind it falls onto the tip through his neck.

"This isn't so bad," Weiss says before a ball of light hits Yang.

Yang waves the ball away and glares at the offender while a gem piece is hanging from her neck, glowing brightly. The goblin shaman chatter incoherently and try to make another spell but didn't move when a shotgun blast sends him flying. The surprised goblin didn't survive long as it splatters around the wall and leaves a trail of blood down the side. "Watch it. They have magic users that can paralyze you."

"I see them!" Weiss calls before spinning around and hits the tip of her weapon on the ground, unleashing a wave of ice. The flash freeze hits everything on the way to the goblin magic user and even catches another that was beside him. "Two for one," she says proudly before swiping off a dagger strike coming her way that drips something onto her dress, leaving a very dark and dirty stain. Weiss quickly swings her sword back around and slices the goblin apart.

"Watch it," Yang calls while grabbing one by the arm and punches him in the chest, sending him flying into the rest for a few feet before stopping. "That could damage you," Yang advises and hits a few more jumping at her with their daggers and clubs raised. "These things play a lot of dirty tricks."

"They seem to like it," Weiss says, stabbing one through the throat.

Yang scoffs. "They just want us. Something good," Yang finishes with a punch down and breaks the goblin's neck. "Something fresh," she describes and gets another on a dumpster as the two slowly go down the alleyway. "And something to fuck," Yang finishes and gives a hard punch that blows a hole through two at once as they stood one behind the other.

"They just stupid or don't care that we are butchering them?" Weiss asks as several climbs over the frozen goblins, causing them to break apart.

Yang frowns and kicks away another that got on her leg. "Both. So watch…" Yang stops when Weiss screams as a goblin gets behind her and yanks at her skirt hard, causing it to rip away most of it. A quick punch from Yang sends a blast of pellets that splatters the offender against the wall into chunks. "So watch it," she warms before going back to kicking and punching those that got on her at that time.

The two kept going, and the goblins died to them one way or another. While fighting, Yang notices that her body starts to heat up as if she is either in a desert or having a fever. When a goblin gets on her back, she scrambles to get it off her, but the grumpy little thing holds on tight as she feels the goblin's hands reach around and grab at her breasts. Yang lets out an involuntary moan before Weiss was able to stab it off her from the side. Yang pants as she punches at near Weiss before she screams out again. One other goblin was ready to jump on Weiss's lower back and try to pull her down to the ground. But Yang quickly reaches and grabs it by the neck and sends him into the crowd.

After a bit, the goblins start to back off, looking at the two in fear as the goblin bodies were overflowing out of the alleyway now. Yang then walks up, her eyes turning red, and gives one command. "Run."

The goblins all blather and chatter as they stumble amongst themselves while running back towards the large building across the street.

"Well we beat them back. Shall we go find the o…" Yang starts before they heard a bull-like roar, and cleaved goblins flew by them.

The two prepare to fight again as another minotaur comes running at them—his broad ax flying around as he cleaves and slices apart any unlucky goblin in his way. The blade also cuts through any metal or stone it can touch, leaving gaping dashes in his path.

"Yang, if you would," Wiess requests.

Yang smiles as her eyes still glow bright red, and she quickly slaps the bull into the wall, pinning it in place by his horns. "Herleva was right. Just rampage…what?" Yang asks, shocked as she felt her strength, leaving her quickly.

"Something's not right," Weiss says, showing she was becoming unsteady as the minotaurs break apart the wall that it was stuck in to pieces. Yang grunts and tries to hit the minotaur's side, but he quickly grabs her arm and sends her flying into the opposite wall with a crash.

"Got to kill it quickly," Weiss says, using her ice dust and glyphs to launch ice spears at the minotaur. One of them finds its home in an eye. The minotaur roars and turns to her with a snort before charging and raising an ax. Weiss prepares to jump to the side and dodges the ax, but the large bull hand grabs at her leg and sends her to the floor after tripping her. She grunts in pain as her aura briefly shows and uses another glyph to send the ax coming at her back into the air to give herself a brief moment of rest.

Every moment, the two girls just kept feeling weaker, and Yang blasted off using her gauntlets to propel herself to the minotaur and punched the ice spike further into the minotaur's head. The minotaur stops dead cold before falling onto his back as Yang lands on top of him, tired with hard pants. "Damn…" she curses while trying to move and rolls over off of it.

"Yang, we got problems," Weiss says, seeing more minotaurs come out of the building with fresh green blood on their weapons.

Yang groans and pounds her fist into the ground. "We have to move, now…" she says, trying to get up before falling flat on the ground. "Ow."
