White Eclipse
Chapter 64

Another general down, and with it, another transformation from the demon soldiers. Even though three of the four portals were now destroyed, hundreds of the soulless still remained. Suddenly, they all stopped their movement, now standing frozen. Loud heartbeats were heard coming from each of them.
"You're all dead." Bune whispered with a sadistic smile.
"A moment later, as if an invisible force picked them all up and slung them to the middle of Magnolia, the demons "were thrown" to the middle of Magnolia. Colliding with one another, they all lost their shape as they began to "connect." At first, two giant legs were created, from the foot to the knees.
"Are you serious!?" Jaxon yelled. "Are they really combining!?"
"This isn't real..." Gray added as Juvia stood next to him, watching the monstrosity take place.
"Unbelievable..." Sting looked up along with the speechless Laxus as the demons all converged to the giant structure taking place. As the torso was being built, the creation now stood thirty feet high at the least. "What is that!?" Lyon asked as more demon soldiers flew by him, making their way to what was being built. Even Erza and Taya stopped as Bune turned his back to them just to watch. "This is what happens when generals fall." The remaining general says as he began his laugh. "Gihahahahaha! Their soldiers feed off the lost of those who control them, only making them stronger. Now, since everyone but me are gone, they're at their strongest! They're combining their power!"
As Bune finished speaking, the giant creation was complete. All the demon soldiers combined into one giant soulless being, wings and all. It stood about seventy feet tall, looking down at the buildings that couldn't even reach it's knee, and the the mages who were now nothing more than ants to it's vision.

Selene dropped the diamond dome since the lasers stopped firing, only to see the giant creature from where she and the others were standing. "Whoa..."
"What is that!?" Lucy shouted as she gazed upon the demonic structure.
"It's our last stop." Jaxon says on the other side of town, standing next to Cana and Jack. "Erza and Taya will finish that general off eventually, just like the others. It's our job to defeat that thing."
"I agree." Cana says with a nod. Jack however, was still fixated with his flask, trying to piece the top back together with the rest of it. "...Jack." Before Jaxon could say another word, Jack Royal finally pieced the top back on, and held the flask up in victory. "YES! Now I'm ready!"
Jaxon and Cana both gave a grin. Jaxon then folded his arms as he looked over at his comrade. "Great, so how will that flask help us?"
Jack looked over to Jaxon with a sly grin on his face. Seconds later, Jack's facial expression turned to an innocent smile. "It won't, I just can't live without this flask."
"..." Cana stared at the hopeless drunk as he continued to smile. Jaxon's vein then began throbbing in frustration and annoyance. "Royal!" The green haired mage screamed as Jack began to laugh, as if there wasn't a crisis going on at the moment.

Sidney and Gildarts watched as the few demons around them floated towards the soulless giant. Gildarts grinned while the ghost mage tugged on his scarf, acknowledging the worthy opponent standing in the middle of Magnolia. "It looks like it's our turn." Sidney says as they both begin walking towards the enormous demon. "It's too bad we're so far away." Gildarts replies. "I kinda want to fight that thing at full strength. I'm sure some of our mages will weaken that thing before we get there."
"Unfortunately." Sidney says with a nod. "But either way, we should get somewhat of a fight in, with the generals being taken and the masters handling Zeref."
"Well then, lets get at it!" Gildarts throws a fist into the air as he and Sidney continue to leisurely walk towards the giant demon soldier.

With it's shape completed, the soulless giant took a few flaps of it's wings, causing a giant, violent gust of wind. The wind gust began toppling over buildings and effortlessly pushing away mages, sending them flying through the air and tumbling into the ground painfully. Holding his ground, was Cygnus. Thanks to his gravity, the "Demi god" was able to stay standing on his feet. Shielding his eyes from the wind, Cygnus now grinned a little towards the giant. He would then take off running towards the demon as the wind died down. "I'll take this thing out myself!" He roared as his fist became coated with his patented poison and gravity magic. The giant took a small step forward, nearly crushing Cygnus as he barely rolled out the way in time from it's giant foot. Cygnus then began to climb by leaping up to it's knee, and then the giants waist. He took another leap, making it to the demon's chest area and reared his right fist back. "Take this!" He slammed a hard right poison fist into the giant's chest with an excited grin. That grin disappeared as the attack showed that it had no effect. "Huh!?" Before Cygnus could react the demon swung it's left hand downward, hitting the gravity god slayer. Cygnus rockets to the ground from the blow and slams into the ground below. "...Well...Shit." Cygnus grimaces in pain as he lays below the demon. A giant shadow then casts over him as the demon raised it's foot once again, looking to crush the mage for good.
"Fire make: Tornado!"
Before the gigantic demon soldier could slam it's foot down, a flaming tornado spins into view, slamming into the demon and knocking it off balance due to it only standing on one leg. "Scatter! It's falling!" A random mage yelled and as the demon fell on it's rear, it began to destroy the buildings behind it as the soulless being crashed into the ground. Everyone behind it scrambled to safety. Not really phased by the fire properties of the tornado, the demon literally kips up back into it's standing, causing a tremor once it landed on it's feet. Kuro shakily ran over to Cygnus to help him up. As Cygnus made his way to his feet, the demon opened it's mouth. From it's mouth, a magic seal appeared as it took aim for Cygnus and Kuro. "Look out!" Was yelled as the demon fired a laser like magic beam from it's mouth. The laser fired in a line, right past Cygnus and Kuro. After a second's delay, a trail of explosions occurred afterwards, knocking Cygnus and Kuro off their feet as they tried to escape the line of fire.
"Get me higher, Lily!" Selene yelled as Pantherlily carried her. Lily frowned a bit from the command, but ascended into the clouds. "Don't get used to this, I'm Gajeel's exceed."
"I don't want you, cat. Now swallow your pride and higher!"
Pantherlily then ascended even higher as they made their way towards the demon, way above it's head. In the meantime, Jaxon flew in on a cloud using his weather magic as Laxus and Rogue kept pace with a sprint. They caught the demon's attention, and it reopened it's mouth, readying another blast.
"Evil spark!" From the right, Mirajane swoops in unseen by the demon and presses her palms against it's jaw, causing a multitude of sparks to surge around the head of the demon violently. The demon roars in pain as it turns to Mirajane, swinging a back hand. The takeover mage dodges and quickly descending to the ground and then strafing hard to the right to avoid a huge stomp by the soulless giant. Jaxon then took the opening, creating a magic circle just the demon's head. From the magic seal, it began to hail furiously, launching oversized hail stones against the demon. Becoming agitated the demon turned once again, and clapped it's hands together, pushing away the hail back to it's host. "Heads up!" Jaxon yelled as he maneuvered out of the way. "Tch!" Rogue quickly took his shadow form as a hail stone slammed into the ground where he was once running. He then reappeared below the demon in his shadow drive. With his shadow magic, he slammed a hard fist into the giant's ankle. No budge. "This thing isn't giving an inch!"
"Then we'll just have to take a mile!" Takeru says as he stood next to the somewhat recovered Luke and Kairi. "That's not how the saying goes." Kairi said as she looked at Tak with a sardonic expression. "By the way, was it safe to leave that Lucy and Levy girl alone with Natsu?" Luke asked.
"They'll be okay." Tak replied. "The threat is over here. And once Natsu heals, we'll be ready to take on Zeref once again."
"You're going to fight him again!? He demolished you!" Luke yelled, but Takeru was already sprinting towards the demon giant. The demon quickly spots him and swings a fist downward towards the shadow dragon, but Takeru quickly pulls out both his shadow katanas and rolls away from the incoming enormous fist. As he barely made it out of the radius of the fist, he stabbed his right katana into the side of the giant's arm. "Got ya!...whoa!" As Takeru hung on for dear life, the demon soldier began swinging it's arm around wildly, trying to shake off the Dragon Slayer. "Oh no... I'm not feeling well." Takeru's face then becomes more pale than usual as his grip begins to loosen on his katana. "Can't...hold...on...!" His cheeks swell from holding in vomit as he lets go of his katana that stayed implanted in the demon's arm. Due to the momentum of the arm now swinging downward, Tak slams into the ground with excessive force, creating a crater from the impact. He laid there motionless yet conscious as the demon reared a fist back with it's eyes locked onto Takeru. "This is gonna hurt..."
As the demon reared back, unknowingly to the soldier, Selene was free falling head first towards the demon with her body coated in her diamond scales. She kept her body in a straight line to pick up speed as she plummeted. Like a rocket she was shooting towards the unsuspecting demon and before it could swing it's arm down, Selene slams her head into the back of her target's bringing it down with the heavy blow as it face-planted into the ground. Before impact, Kairi runs in and grabs Takeru, then quickly dives away before the demon could flatten them. "T-thanks." Takeru manages out as he fights his way to his feet. Kairi stood as well dusting her self off. Selene then leaped off of the fallen demon, but as she landed on the ground, the demon quickly grabbed her with its right hand, squeezing down on the diamond coated dragon slayer. As it continued to squeeze, Selene held in any screams of pain...until her diamond coating began to crack. The demon then began to make it's way back it's feet, now standing with Selene in it's grasp, slowly cracking her diamond structure.
"Selene!" Takeru yelled, once again in full sprint towards the demon with Kairi right behind him.
"Gray-Sama..." Juvia watched the ice make mage as he clenched his chest, shaking a good bit as he went down to a knee.
"This is déjà-vu" Lyon says as he appears, stumbling a bit towards Gray and Juvia. Lyon was sweating profusely as he held himself up against a wall of a destroyed building. "That thing...it looks and acts so similar..."
"To Deloria." Gray finishes. "It's one thing that we saw the real thing frozen in Ur's ice, but this thing...it's moving. It's active... I can't."
"It's okay Gray-Sama." Juvia replies as she bends down to him, placing her hand on his back. "You don't have to fight, everyone else will handle it."
The demon continued to squeeze down on Selene, continuing to break the diamond scales covering her. She was quickly running out of time before she would be exposed to the giant's raw strength.
"Hang on diamond girl." Gajeel came running in a full sprint, covered completely in his iron scales. In almost a blur he ran past the mages before the demon as he lowered his head. After his next stride he crouched low under the demon and lunged upward, putting all of his leg strength into it. He skyrocketed upwards and slams an iron scaled headbutt under the chin of the giant. It's head snaps back, and the demon solider roars in pain, but all in one motion, the demon returns the favor by swinging it's head back forward and slamming it into Gajeel's. The two heads meet, and immediately Gajeel's iron begins to crack. Following that, he plummets to the ground, crashing into the street barely conscious and no longer covered in scales. The good news of Gajeel's efforts was that Selene was able to escape the grip of the giant. She fell to the ground, only to have Takeru catch her before crashing.
"It's still raring to go!"
"We're running low on magic too!"
"There's no stopping it! It seems to be stronger than the generals themselves!"
The demon giant then takes a step forward, quaking the earth as it does so. It now stood right in front of the fallen Gajeel. "Gajeel! Move!" Jet and Droy both yelled in unison. Gajeel winced and grunted as he struggled to regain movement in his body, but it was to no avail. The giant demon raised it's right leg in the air.
"Gajeel!" Pantherlily yelled in horror as the Iron Dragon Slayer has yet to move. After a few seconds delay, the giant slams it's foot down, causing another quake of the earth. "GAJEEL!"
"You fairies sure do panic a lot."
"Hey now, we care for each other. You can't really fault them."
The foot of the demon was seen being slowly lifted away from the ground. As it continued to raise without the giant's consent...Gildarts and Sidney were seen under the foot, just in front of Gajeel. They both exchange a look and nod, and simultaneously push the demon's foot away, causing the soulless being to topple backwards, falling on it's back as mages scramble away from being caught under the body.
"Sidney!" Waiston exclaimed with excitement, happy to see his SS class guild member.
"Gildarts!" Gray shares the same expression as the two aces stood together. At this time, the demon began making it's way back to it's feet. "Listen up." Sidney says in a calm manner, yet where everyone could hear. "Just because we're here, doesn't mean you can relax."
"We're taking this thing out together!" Gildarts shouts, causing Fairy Tail to begin a prideful uproar. The other guilds then joined in as everyone readied themselves, circling around the demonic giant as it was back up to it's feet and focused on Gildarts and Sidney.
"Lets go!"

.

One magic circle and one lacrima screen shared the sky over Magnolia. One the lacrima screen was one teenage boy with glasses and brown hair. Zalen Castle laid on top of a now broken Etherion Cannon. Somehow getting past Siegrain, Zalen was able to subdue the council's strongest weapon before it fired and wiped out all of Magnolia and the mages trapped in the city. He laid there, and though he panted heavily; though he now laid with a broken leg, unable to move on his own, he smiled. "I hope you're proud of me, Sidney. It's not easy being your brother you know."
As Zalen laid there in his thoughts, there they stood just out of the building mage's sight. Aloysis and Jikan Calium stood with a sadistic grin as Jikan dangled a watch. The watch created a magic seal inside the eye of the cannon, and as it spun, the cracks in the cannon began to disappear, as if putting a puzzle piece together perfectly. The sharp iron that Zalen impaled the cannon with begins to shake and slowly pull out of the eye. It wasn't until the iron began to float back to the floor above him Zalen realized that something was happening. He sat up and looked around in a panic. He finally spots the two guilty hands,
Aloysis and Jikan standing off to his left. Jikan begins to chuckle slightly as Aloy stood there with his arms crossed. "Good try young mage, but this is where your 'heroic' reign ends." Jikan says as his watch continues to swing.
"What are you!?" Zalen looks down, only to see that eye of the cannon repaired completely. Now in desperation, he tries to crawl off the cannon eye as it begins to hum. As he inches away from the middle, magic seals begin to quickly form above one another until it reached the now opened roof of the building. Zalen now stood, quickly hopping on one leg to escape the eye of the cannon. The second he was out however, Aloy appeared in front of him, and slams a front kick right into the young mage's chest. Zalen falls backwards due to the force behind Aloy's kick, causing him to land right back in the middle of the cannon's eye. He held his chest in pain from the enhanced strength of Aloysis. "Etherion Cannon ready to fire." The automated voice rung out.
Back in Magnolia, Reve had his eyes set on the demon, ready to fire with his celestial sniper, until his eyes caught glimpse of the lacrima screen that continued to phase in and out. His eyes widen when he was finally able to make out what was going on. "Zalen...!" Reve dropped his weapon as everyone else continued their attack on the demon giant. He stood there, shaking a bit as he watched anxiously. He waited for his best friend to pull of a miracle as the cannon's eye illuminates to it's brightest.
Zalen stands, and pants as he shifts all of his weight to his good leg. With one last effort he lunged towards Aloysis, desperately trying to get out of the eye of the cannon.
"Firing Etherion Cannon." Aloysis stood there with a grin on his face and his arms behind his back as Zalen was just inches away in mid air before the light from the cannon consumed the building mage. The cannon was so strong it caused the lacrima screen to disconnect, leaving Reve now staring at the blank sky as the last image he saw was Zalen being swallowed by the cannon's light.
"Zalen!" The gunslinger yelled out in a rush of frustration and sadness. He wasn't paying attention as the demon now focused on the yelling mage, and quickly turned to him. With one quick charge of it's laser, the giant fired towards Reve. The laser quickly traveled, destroying everything in it's wake as it zoomed towards Reve. Before Reve was caught in the line of fire, Sidney grabs the S class mage and disappears in a puff of smoke, reappearing off to the right. "Sidney! Zalen! He's-"
"There's no time for that right now. Keep your head in this war." Sidney replied in a seemingly cold hearted matter.
"What!? How can you say that!? That's your brother! Did you not see what happened!?" Reve yelled, causing Sidney to drop him as the ghost mage began to walk back to the fight.
"You never cared about him anyways! You're a-"
Before Reve could finish his sentence, a single drop of what seemed like water hit his left hand. He blinked a few times, and looked to the sky, not seeing a cloud in sight. He then looked back at Sidney, and with his precision eyes, he saw a trail of water leading to the ace of White Eclipse. "...Sidney."
"I said get your head in the fight." Sidney replied in a stern voice. "There's other lives at stake. And now we have a cannon on the way here. Get ready!"
Reve stared a bit longer, and then bared his teeth as he looked away from Sidney so he wouldn't see anymore tears. He was now stopping his own from falling as he made his way to his feet. "Okay...where was the cannon firing at first? That's where it's- OLD MAN!"
Though he gained the guild masters' attention, Bune also looked over his shoulder, wiping away the smile he held while standing across from Erza and Taya as his curiosity peaked. "Huh? Sounds like there's news." Bune says as he turned his back to the two female mages.
"Bold.." Taya says as Bune turns away from them, but she didn't move either. She wanted to hear why Reve was yelling, along with Erza.
"The cannon is on it's way!" Reve yelled once again.
"What!?" The masters roared in shock.
"Hm?" Zeref too caught whims of Reve's warning and then simply looked over towards Bune as a giant multicolored mage's circle appeared under him and nearly the entire city. Bune simply smiled as he opened his right palm. "One second cretins. I'll dispose of this blast so that we won't have any distractions for when I murder you both."
As a clear magic circle appeared under Bune, Taya hesitantly took a step forward, only to be stopped by Erza.
"If we attack now, no one will stop the Etherion Cannon. We'll wait." The scarlet haired mage says. Taya nodded. "I figured as much...I'll wait. But the second he's done..."
Erza nodded as well, agreeing with Taya's last statement.
Seconds later, as the entire city begins to shake slowly but violently, a small white orb appears in Bune's hand. He stays quiet until he sees the sky change colors, indicating the incoming blast. "Giha! Here we go! Reverse bomb!" He reared back, and threw the glowing orb towards the sky right above Zeref. Just before the clouds, the Etherion Cannon could be seen coming down, it's multicolored beam heading right for the city until the bomb connected. After a small glint of light, a giant explosion occurred in the air, causing everyone to hold on to something or brace themselves as the wind from the impact blew around wildly. Seconds later, everything cleared as Bune stood there with a wicked smile and his arms crossed as Zeref gave his remaining demon general an approving nod. Just like she said, as soon as everything cleared, Taya rushed the blind side of Bune quickly with her fist reared back. She was prepared to slam her fist into the back of the demon general's head, but Bune beats her to it, crashing a spinning back fist right into Taya's jaw with no remorse. Taya tumbles and slides off to the left from the impact as Erza takes her place, rushing the general quickly. Once in melee range, she through a hard high kick that Bune not only blocked, but then grabbed out of the air. With that same sadistic smile, Bune pulled Erza towards him, only to push her back away with a hard right straight. He didn't let go of her leg however, and repeated the process a few more times before slinging her away from himself. Taya was up know again, and this time, she wrapped her vectors around her feet for even more speed as she quickly closed the gap between her and Bune. She swung an uppercut that Bune easily leaned away from. He then began toying with her as he continued to dodge her combination of punches, and finally retaliated with a spinning kick aimed for her skull. Taya ducks, and quickly summons two dark vectors that wrap around her fists. She swings a right hook once more, but Bune leans away once more, then slams a knee into her midsection, causing her to fold over from the punishing blow. He slams another knee into her abdomen, and then a stomp to the back of her head, causing her to slam into the ground. With his foot still on the back of Taya's head, Bune slams a back kick into the charging Erza without looking, right into her chin. Erza's head snaps backwards, and Bune takes the opportunity to grab her by the arm, and pull her towards him again and slam another high kick against her temple. Without letting go, Bune brings Erza to her knees in front of him. He then lets go of her arm as he leans closer to her with his sadistic grin. "This is gonna hurt. Giha!"
Still dazed from the kick to the temple, Erza's defenses were down, leaving her completely exposed. Bune then clinched both of his fist, and immediately began unloading a combination of hard jabs against the face of Titania, all of them landing directly. Bune didn't let up as he continued to pummel Erza repeatedly, laughing his signature laugh in the process.
"E-Erza..." Taya groaned with her face still in the ground. Her speaking caused Bune to add pressure to his foot, pushing her head into the ground a bit more. "Bune grinned towards the now heavily beaten Erza Scarlett. "Well then, it looks like this is it for you. Justice always prevail eh? Gihahahaha!" Bune then reared back his right fist, but as he swung forward, a heavenly light rushed in, and in the next second, Bune was standing with wide eyes, hunched over a bit as Jellal himself now stood between him and Erza with his right fist slammed into the general's gut. With an angered expression, Jellal's entire arm was tense as he had put everything into the punch he just dealt to Bune. After coughing a few times, Bune began to stumble backwards as Jellal quickly turned his attention to Erza and Taya. "Are you two okay!?" The Bluenette asked. "I'm fine." Taya protested. "Attend to your friend over there, she took the worst of if." The dark vector mage bounced up as Jellal turned to Erza, whose face was heavily bruised from the onslaught she just took. "Jellal.." She muttered out as she tried to stand, only to fall back to her seat.
"Erza! Relax... You can barely stand." Jellal then turned to Bune who seemed to have already gather himself. "I'll handle it."
"Oh? And what makes you any different than them?" Bune asked with a wicked grin.
"Bune...the demon of justice. How ironic of a title for a demon."
Bune ignored the blue haired mage as his magic aura began to rise along with Jellal's. "Enough talk, you're wasting my time human."
"Jellal! Be careful, magic is useless against him." Erza says as she forces herself up to one knee, still wincing in dire pain.
"No magic is useless against anyone, Erza." Jellal turns, and gives Titania a small smile. He then turns back to Bune with his previous angered expression. "You're the last of the generals. Ifs time to finish you off."
"Lets go then! Giha!"

.

[FlashBack]

"All the demons are gone. Lets go handle the giant!" Gajeel yelled as he, Takeru, and Selene began running towards the scene. "Right!" The other two yelled in unison. As the sprinted down the street towards the giant, Aira was seen headed their way. "Selene!" Aira yelled out, waving her right arm as a few tears poured from her eyes. "Selene! I need your-"
"Aira! Good timing! Keep running that way and help Levy and Lucy heal Natsu. He really needs your help."
"Okay but listen! It's about Adam! He-"
"There's no time!" Selene interrupted again. "I'm sure Adam is fine, he's a dragon after all. Now lets go, time is a factor!"
"Selene you don't understand!" Aira yelled out, but it was too late, Selene was already down the street, where she caught up with Pantherlily and the others. Pantherlily scooped her into the air and flew her towards the gigantic demon soldier, leaving Aira alone. She watched in frustration and worry about her guild mate who was still left fighting Acnologia. She finally turned and continued running towards Natsu's location, holding back tears as she ran.
[End Flashback]
Aira was crouched down, her hands glowing as she hovered them over Natsu along with Levy and Gemini who took Levy's appearance. Lucy stood off to the side as the three continued to attempt to heal Natsu, whose skin was still a rotten green color. Aira continued to sniffle, trying her best to hide it. Levy looks up, and looks at Lucy, who was equally concerned at Aira's disposition. "Maybe this is all just getting to her." Lucy thought to herself. "I wanna ask what's wrong, but I don't want her to break down. We need to heal Natsu first."
"Aira..." Levy says in her mind, having the same thoughts as Lucy. Aira wipes her eyes quickly, and then places them back over Natsu. "It's working." She whimpered out.
"Huh!?" Levy looks back to Natsu, noticing that his normal skin color was coming back into his hands, and now making it's way down his arms. "It is! Hold on Natsu!" Lucy yelled.
Minutes passed, and finally, Natsu was completely healed. He hops up, roaring flames into the air in anger. He then looks around with a comical angered expression as Lucy hugs him. "You're okay!"
"Huh?" Natsu snaps out of his anger, and then gives a nod with a small smile. "Yeah, thanks Lucy, Levy, and Kara."
"It's Aira." She says as she stands back up, wiping her eyes once again. "You should get going, they need your help."
"Hm?" Natsu looks up at the giant demon and the mages battling against it. "When did that happen!?"
"No time!" Lucy says as she grabs Natsu's arm. "You're okay to fight right?"
"He should be." Levy adds as she stands next to him. "Zeref's magic didn't induce pain, it was used to just end him. You should be fine."
I'm just fine!" Natsu exclaims with excitement.
"Alright then!" Lucy replies. "Then lets go finish this!"
"Aye!

I'm all fired up!"
