White Eclipse
Chapter 66

"We're dead... There's no way. I'm spent..I don't have anything left for this." Takeru drops to his hands and knees as he stares at the roof he stood on. The hopelessness in his eyes told the story as Acnologia scanned the area around him, taking note of how many mages were in his presence. Everyone was frozen solid. "I've never even seen him before, but I can tell...That's /The/ dragon, Acnologia." Sting gulps as he stood beside Rogue, Rufus, Orga, and Yukino.
"Aira tried to tell me.." Selene says to herself. She clenches her fists as she fights back the tears in her eyes. "Adam is gone now, because we were dumb enough to leave him."
"Adam..." Waiston, along with Heather caught whim of the story by standing next to Selene and Aira. The frozen dragon slayer clenched his fists as well, holding in his aches of frustration and anger. Heather stood there, slightly shaking, though her face showed no emotion.
"You killed...YOU KILLED ADAM!"
Waiston's outburst caused a number of mages to turn to him, a bit shocked from the cry. It also caught Acnologia's attention, as well as Takeru's. "He killed Adamantine!?" Takeru exclaimed, stunned. Suddenly, the once forfeited demeanor Takeru held was quickly replaced with one full of sorrow and anger. "He killed Adam.."
Heather began shaking a bit more, the once emotionless expression she held was now covered in anger. "I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!" The four dragon slayers of White Eclipse yelled in unison. Everyone turned to look at this time as the aura's around them began to radiate. Fueled by anger, The three dragon slayers hopped up to join Tak on the lone roof that stood in Magnolia, now looking the dragon in the eye. Their anger now clouded their fear of the monstrosity in front of them.
"What can they do though?" Ooba asked. "This is Acnologia we're talking about! He's gonna spin them all!"
"Our best option is to run.." Makarov says.
"I hate to agree..." Calium nodded. "But of course I'm not leaving my brats behind."
"There's nowhere to run, lets be serious." Goldmine says. "It'll hunt us down in no time."
"That's true, but what magic do we have left?" Bob asked. "Everyone is tired."
"Well, not everyone." Calium says with a small smile as he watches the four slayers on the roof.
"Die here! Roar of the Frozen Dragon!"
"Roar of the Poison Dragon!"
"Roar of the Diamond Dragon!"
"Roar of the White Shadow Dragon!"
The four dragon slayers fired off their roars, combining into one giant vortex of dragon slaying magic. The blast slams into Acnoligia, connecting against his body. As the unison raid exploded against the dragons body, he smiled, seemingly unaffected even though the force of the blast slid Acnologia backwards a good few meters. As the smoke and dust settled, the anger the four dragon slayers of White Eclipse once had, was suddenly gone as fear overtook them once again. Acnologia stood unharmed, staring at the four insects in front of him. "H-how!?" Waiston stuttered.
"It didn't do a thing!" Heather exclaimed.
"It's smiling." Selene noted. "We're a joke..."
"I remember what's coming next." Gajeel said as a quick flashback to Tenrou island played in his head.
"He's about to wipe everyone out..."
And just like that, Acnologia took into the air. The wind from his wings, blew the four dragon slayers off the roof and into the crowd of mages in the streets. Makarov's eyes widen as he too remembered what was about to happen.
"Master!" Erza yelled.
"I know! Everyone! Get as far away as you can from here! He's going to fire a roar!"
"To the south!" Laxus yelled. "It's the furthest away! He's obviously looking to decimate the entire city!" Immediately, the mages begin to run towards the south. All but Gajeel. "Running isn't going to solve anything without a distraction. That blast will still catch everyone." Gajeel sighed, and then began walking. He began walking the opposite direction, walking towards the dragon that had ascended. As he passed Gajeel, Rogue looked back. "What's he doing!?" Though he questioned it, he didn't stop running as Sting tugged on his shirt due to him slowing down. Pantherlily was seen running with Levy as they both saw Gajeel walking towards them. "Gajeel!?" They both stopped in front of the iron dragon slayer. "Gajeel where are you going? We have to leave!" Levy called to him. Gajeel continued to stare up towards Acnologia. He would then pat Levy on her head, and slowly avert his eyes to her. "Shrimp. I'm going to give you guys time to run, okay? So don't stop running. You too Lily." "What!?" Lily exclaimed.
"You can't! Not alone! I'll go with you!" Levy protested.
"Thank you for everything, Levy." Gajeel says as he begins taking off his gloves. Jet and Droy catch up to the bunch as Gajeel unstraps his gloves completely. He hands them to Levy, closing her hands around them. He would rest his head against hers as tears quickly begin to fall from the solid script mage's eyes. "Don't go...I won't let you. This isn't happening." She whimpered.
"I'm not letting you do this alone." Lily said. "I may be too spent to transform, but we fight together, always!"
"Lily, I need someone to look after Levy while I'm gone." Gajeel then smirked towards Jet and Droy who were speechlessly watching. "I know these two bozos won't be able to handle it."
"HEY!" The two yelled in unison.
"Shut up!" Levy yelled. "You aren't going! Run with us!"
Gajeel could do nothing but smile as he placed his bare right hand against Levy's cheek. "Be safe."
"No! What did I say!"
"Droy, Jet. Don't let them follow me." Gajeel said as he began walking away.
"I said!" Levy reached out for Gajeel to grab him, but she came up short as Droy grabbed Levy first and draped her over his shoulder. Jet did the same with Pantherlily as they both began running away from the city. "Droy! Droy put me down!"
"Sorry Levy I can't! He told me not to!"
"He's not your team leader! Put me down!" Levy yelled as she began hitting Droy on his back. "Droy put me down or I'll never forgive you! I will hate you forever!"
Droy heard her words, and the expression on his face showed contemplation, but instead of complying, he ducked his head and kept running as his and Jet's tears flowed from their faces. "Gajeel!" Levy called out, trying to reach out to the Dragon Slayer as he became smaller and smaller to her vision. "Put me down!" Lily yelled. "Gajeel!"
"GAJEEL!"

"Natsu stop! We need to leave with the others! We can't take it alone!" Lucy yelled as she pulled Natsu by his shirt. Natsu stayed as still as a rock though she pulled her hardest. "It's too strong to run away from. I'm going to finish it here!" The bold Dragon Slayer stated. "You should run Lucy."
"I'm leaving without you. So please, come on!"
No matter how much she pleaded, Natsu wouldn't budge. As he stood, ready to fire back at Acnologia,
Gajeel came walking by. "You too!?" Lucy shouted. Natsu turned to see Gajeel and smiled. "Gajeel! Alright lets take this guy ou-"
Before Natsu could finish, he found himself hunched over, taking a steel fist to the stomach. The blow left him defenseless and unable to properly move as he fell. Gajeel caught him, and handed him to Lucy. "Take the idiot and run."
Happy grabbed Natsu, now hovering as Lucy looked back at Gajeel. "Aren't you coming?"
Gajeel walked forward, away from the group. "This is my stop. Run while you still have a chance."
"What!?" The exceed and the celestial mage both called out at the same time. "You can't take it alone!"
"I'm not planning to. If this roar hits the ground, no matter how far you run, you'll all be killed. So I'm doing my part."
"But Gajeel-"
"RUN!" The iron dragon slayer roared. Lucy hesitates, but finally,
Her and Happy take off, both blinking away the tears as they fell. "Gajeel..."
He looked back with a grin as they ran from the area. He then turned back to the dragon, who just now began inhaling the air around him. At first, Gajeel covered himself in his patented iron scales. "Just to make sure I have it's attention." Gajeel then began waving to Acnologia. "Hey! Idiot! I'm taking you on! One on one! Fire at me and I'll make you sorry!" He could see Acnologia's eyes shift downward, now focused upon Gajeel as streams of shadow magic began to flow from him. The iron shadow dragon was active for what seemed like one last act. Gajeel grinned as he waited on the dragon of dragons, and with that, Acnologia fired his gigantic vortex from his mouth. As the roar came hurling towards him, Gajeel created a magic seal beneath him. The radius of the seal was pretty large, and from the edge of that seal, a large shadow and iron dome was cast over his head. Gajeel smiled, then turned his sight back to where he last left his friends, where he last left Levy. "Alright Fairy Tail. Until next time. Salamander, you're lucky we never got to have our rematch. I was going to win. Juvia, Gray, Erza, Laxus. Jet, Droy, you idiots. Take care of her." With nothing left to say he raised his right hand in the air, creating the infamous Fairy Tail sign in his hand as the giant vortex crashed into the dome. A blinding light occurred, followed by a shock wave that took everyone off their feet, slamming them every which way. Once they could, everyone braced themselves until the powerful shock wave was over. When all was said and done, half the city was destroyed, completely wasted. In that half, there wasn't a single piece of rubble left.
"That's funny." Gildarts said as he made his way back to his feet. "He did way more damage years ago. He destroyed the entire island."
"You speak like this was nothing!" Bacchus yelled. They both looked over as their attention was caught by a hysterical Levy. Crying frantically, she continued to slap her first against Droy's stomach. "Why!? Why did you let him go! Droy I hate you!"
"Levy..." Droy could do nothing but stand there as she took out her sorry and frustrations on him. "What's wrong with Levy?" Erza asked as she was being held up by Jellal.
Jet then turned to them with his head lowered as Pantherlily was on his paws and knees, trying his best to hold in his cries. "Gajeel's the reason the blast wasn't so strong."
Immediately Makarov's attention was gained. "What do you mean?"
"Gajeel...he sacrificed himself just now. He knew the roar from...from Acnologia would be too great to run from, so he cushioned it...with his own life."
"Gajeel-Kun...no. No Gajeel didn't!" Juvia screamed out, now mourning for her former Phantom guild mate. Gray held her as she began sobbing into his shoulder. He too averted his eyes to the ground, feeling the loss of Gajeel Redfox.
"Gajeel..." Erza looked towards the ground as others began to mourn their new hero.
"I know this isn't a good time. But we have to regroup, because here he comes." Sidney pointed, and in the middle of the city that no longer exists, Acnologia landed, focusing on the mages. He let out another deafening roar, causing them to cover their ears.
As Gildarts covered his, he could see a lone figure walking towards the dragon. "Huh? Natsu!? What are you doing!?" He shouted.
Natsu continued walking towards Acnologia. Though his face seemed emotionless, tears began to slowly drop from his eyes and to the ground. "My job as a dragon slayer." Natsu replied as he kept walking. Lucy and Happy did nothing but watch as he continued to watch. "Natsu...be safe." The Celestial mage whispered.
"Your job!?" Gildarts yelled. "You're going to die! That's not a regular dragon! You can't-Huh? Wendy!? Where are you going!?"
"It's my calling." The petite dragon slayer says. She continued walking and for once, Charla didn't even try to stop her, which was a shock on it's own. Wendy continues walking, leaving Gildarts and the others speechless.
"Don't worry, I'll watch her." Was Laxus's way of saying that he was going as well. He stood up and walked behind Wendy as they made their way towards Natsu and Acnoligia
"I wouldn't mind giving it another shot." Waiston said as he and Heather begin walking towards Acnologia. The beast smiled as the dragon slayers began walking towards him. Selene and Takeru turn to each other with a small smile, and begin walking together with Heather and Waiston as they marched towards the dragon.
"Sting? Rogue? You too!?" Yukino asked with worry as the twin dragons began walking. "If Natsu-san is going, I have to."
"Gajeel sacrificed himself for us. It's the least I can do."
At that time, Blues started making his way as well.
"You're wild Blues!" Bacchus yelled.
"Four!" Blues yelled with a fist in the air as he kept walking away from his Quatro Cerebrus guild mates.
"What are we gonna do!?" Jet asked Makarov as everyone watched them walk off.
"We're gonna have faith. You heard Natsu. They're dragon slayers. It's their jobs."
While walking, a figure was caught in Natsu's peripherals. He looks over to see Cobra making his way to Acnologia as well. Cobra ended up beside Natsu as they walked. "Your will is so loud, at first I didn't know what it was, because I've never heard someone's will before. But it became clear to me once you walked forward. And obviously I'm not the only one who hears it. I hate your guts, Salamander, but I can't deny your ability to never quit."
"Cobra..." Natsu never took his eyes off Acnologia. "I have a favor to ask, and I know only you have the heart to do it."
"Hm?" Cobra looked towards Natsu, who didn't say a word after that. Instead, the Salamander just smiled as Cobra listened to his thoughts. "You know that will probably kill you right?"

.
"What can they possibly do?" Correll asked. The young blonde council captain held his left arm as he sat down in front of his peers. "I'm too tired, and I know I can take at least half of them myself. What makes them think they can pull of beating that monstrosity themselves?"
"Foolish boy." The blonde haired captain quickly turned to see who dared insult him, only to find Makarov standing behind him. "What did you say, old man?"
"You have no idea what they're capable of. Not only are they dragon slayers; before you are a group of kids that never know when to quit. Especially my brats! Giving up isn't within them."
Correll sighed as he leaned his head up to the sky. "So they have too much pride? So what? That's nothing special."
"It's not pride." Goldmine interjected, causing Correll to turn once again. "You're young, but even I didn't understand until Blues came to my guild. It's almost like an instinct." A small smile etched upon the face of the guild master as he continued. "Our young dragon slayers, they have a...habit we'll say, of fighting for those they care for. It's not about pride young one. They're protecting family. They may be reckless, but that's because they have the instincts of a dragon. That was something no one understood, because we've never interacted with dragons before."
"Interact with dragons!? What about that one that's about to kill us right there!" Correll shouted as he pointed towards Acnologia.
"Stupid." Odin murmured just loud enough for Correll to hear.
"What was that!?" The young captain snapped back.
"Listen carefully." Calium spoke. "No one said that dragons are safe. You're learning that as Acnologia stands before you now. But all animals have instincts, and dragons are no different when it comes to this instincts. Just look at them before you..."
Correll turns back to the last line of defense, the dragon slayers, all glaring towards their biggest threat with intent to kill.
"Does that look like pride to you? Or is that the stance of an animal that refuses to let one harm those they care about?"
Correll sighs one last time, but doesn't say a word as he watches on, waiting for either side to make a move.
"None of this matters." Ultear thought to herself. "Win or lose, they're all finished in the end, but I hope they do pull of a miracle, just so I can be alive when the time comes for their demise. Letting him get away was the biggest mistake these mages made." As she finished her thoughts she cut her eyes towards Kuro who was standing next to Reve, unknowing that Ultear was seething towards him.

"Here we go."

.
Acnologia planted his feet firmly into the ground, uprooting some of the earth in the process. He then began inhaling the air around him, this time even the inhaling was stronger than usual, as Natsu and the others began sliding forward from the force behind Acnologia's lungs. Still, the slayers weren't phased. Natsu bared his teeth as he stared at the one who killed Gajeel. Wendy and Laxus shared the same emotions, and for once, Laxus was the first to let it show as he began to bulk up, starting the chain reaction of dragon slayer magic. Lightning began to surge around him as his muscles expanded out of his shirt, ruining his attire. "This is for that iron head, and for everyone behind us who is counting on our victory. You want a roar!? We'll give you one!"
An aura of sky magic then wavered around Wendy. "I'll give you all that I've got! This time we'll come out on top!"
"Dragon force.."
The three third generation dragons stood together. Sting, Rogue, and Blues were now covered in scales of their color. "Gajeel's death will not go unpunished."
"That's right, Rogue."
"There will be only one more death today, and it's not us!"
Just like the others, their auras of magic surround them. Poison for Heather, and Diamond for Selene. "For Adam, Zalen and Tin Head, and Aira who I completely ignored when she tried to tell me."
"I'm not good with dedications." Heather says. She then looks back at the White Eclipse family that were anxiously waiting. "But...I owe the people behind me so much, so I guess this is the start of me showing gratitude."
Acnologia continued to inhale the air around him, his lungs seemingly endless as the other mages watched.
"How long is he going to go!?" Kuro shouted in panic.
"Relax kid." Cana boasted. "Have some faith in your family. It's just putting on a show."
"Bold words." Jack added.
"Wild words indeed!" Bacchus said, chiming in. "Is there really nothing we can do?" Kairi asked.
"Nope." Luke snapped. Kairi punched him in the back of the head. "Don't you have dragon slayer magic!? Why don't you help!"
"Ow!" Luke yelped, rubbing the back of his head. "I do, but it would be useless. I'd just get in the way. I may have the magic, but I don't carry the instincts that they were talking about just now. I'd be a tent among towers."
Takeru and Waiston stood beside each other. Waiston quickly powered into his Frozen Sky Dragon mode, the mixture of ice and sky blue swirling around him. Takeru does the same with his White Shadow mode, his magic dancing around his body as he bared his teeth towards Acnologia.
Cobra's hands begin to grow as his poison scales wrap around his limbs. "Last chance Salamander. Are you sure?"
Natsu didn't say a word to Cobra. Once again, his thoughts did all the talking as Cobra curled his lip a bit, then turned back to Acnologia with a grin. "They're gonna miss you, but that's none of my concern." Cobra then looks back to the people behind him one last time, spotting her in the crowd quickly. He gave a soft smile towards the Fairy Tail member, Kinana. A smile that no one saw, except her as she perked up a bit, her gaze now focused on Cobra. "You're the only thing important. And I can hear that you want to live, so that's now my priority." He turned back to the task at hand as Acnologia finished inhaling.
"Here we go." Natsu says as a wildfire begins to wrap around him. "This is for everyone you've tormented. Everyone you've killed and mutilated." As he spoke, lightning began to spark around him and his flames. His scarf waved around from the magic wavering around him. "Everybody at once!"
Acnologia fired first, the massive dragon launched his head forward, and fired a ginormous vortex, his dragon's roar, in a perfect horizontal line towards the dragon slayers.
"Roar..." Every dragon slayer except Natsu and Cobra called out in unison. The roar from Acnologia continued to draw near, uprooting the earth on it's path to the slayers.
"Of the_ Dragon!" Everyone fired their respective roars simultaneously. The roars quickly combined into one powerful funnel of magic as it flew.
"Here we go, Salamander!" Cobra shouted. Natsu then braced himself as Cobra lifted him by his scarf.
"What's Cobra doing!?" Erza shouted from the back.
"Roar of the Poison Dragon!" Perfectly timed, Cobra slammed his poison roar into Natsu, point blank as the unison of roars went flying by. His roar connects with the others. Natsu was now trapped inside the vortex as if hurled towards Acnologia's. "What did you do!?" Laxus shouted.
Cobra turned to him with a small grin. "What he asked me to." Laxus looked on with wide eyes along with the others, now waiting for the outcome.
"Natsu!" Lucy yelled as she attempted to run out towards the fight, only to be held back by Erza. "Natsu! Why did he do that!?"
"Just wait. I'm sure there was a reason." Makarov stated. "No one here is that evil."
Natsu flew towards Acnololiga's roar thanks to the momentum of the others. He lowered his head as he let out his loud patented battle cry. "Ultimate Dragon's...Sword Horn!" He roared out. Natsu then meets Acnologia's roar head on, and with another yell of determination, he starts to push right through the eye of the roar. Acnologia begins to slide backwards from the sheer force of the unison roar, trying it's best to grip the ground to stop his sliding. As Natsu pushed through, Acnologia continued to lose ground. The struggle continued until, finally, Natsu bursted through the roar. His momentum slung him through the mouth of Acnologia and upon entering the dragon, a blinding explosion takes place where he once stood. The explosive scenery caused everyone to cover their eyes to prevent themselves from going blind.
"Natsu!" Lucy and Happy yelled out once more while shielding their eyes, unsure of what happened to the Salamander. A long pause occurred as everyone slowly regained their sight from the blinding explosion from before. "What...What happened? Natsu!" Lucy slipped by Erza's grasp and began running towards the dragon slayers, Happy following right behind her. As she ran, the smoke cleared where Acnologia once stood, showing the dragon no more. "It's gone..." Kairi muttered in shock. "Acnologia is gone."
"I saw Natsu charge right into it's mouth...There was no dodging. So does that mean?" Gildarts scratched his head, trying to grasp what happened.
The other dragon slayers stood around. A few of them began to smile as Acnologia was no more. The others began looking around for Natsu. "Is he okay?" Wendy asked as she continued to look for the Salamander.
"I don't see him." Laxus replied. He too continued to search as an uproar of cheers came from the other mages with mixed chants of victory.
"What a sacrifice." Blues says. "Wild kid huh?"
"Natsu-san." Sting looks on with a bit of grimace. "He did that without hesitation. It was just enough for us to survive too.." Waiston bowed a bit. "I can never question his heart."
Takeru grinned a bit, not saying a word as he looked to the sky with his arms crossed. At this time, Lucy can running by. "Natsu!" She yelled with a few tears streaming from her eyes. "Tell me you're okay!"
"Natsu!" Happy echoed. "Stop hiding Natsu!"
A few seconds past, Lucy then looks up as she notices something floating down from the sky. It was Natsu's scarf. The scarf landed softly right into Lucy's hands, and the tears began to pour as she pressed her head against it, quietly sobbing into it.
"I hate how amazing he is, can't stand that Natsu."
Lucy looks up to see Takeru, who was still looking up to the sky with a smile. "Heh...you think he has a limit, but he's always just that much better than the opponent he's facing. Whether it's inches or miles, he's better. I'll pass him one day. Until then, uh, Happy is it?"
Happy blinked once. "Aye..."
"You should catch your friend before he plummets to his death."
Happy's eyes widen with joy as Takeru points to the sky. Everyone looked up to see a falling Natsu. His clothes were torn completely, leaving him in just pants, which were also ripped in numerous places. Lucy looked up as well, and began crying tears of joy as her savior came into view. "Can't...move..heh." Natsu struggled to speak, but all was well as Happy quickly flew upward and grabbed the pink haired hero. He quickly descended to drop him on the ground. As he did, Natsu attempted to stand, only to be knocked over by Lucy lunging towards him and tackling him to the ground, hugging him. The cheers became louder as the mages in the back noticed Natsu alive and well. "You idiot.." Lucy cried out. Natsu did nothing but smile at the celestial mage as he rested on his arms. "I thought you died... Don't ever do that again!" Natsu then began to laugh as Lucy scolded him. She finally gave in, and hugged him once more with her face buried into his shoulder. "I wouldn't leave you like that, Lucy." He said, patting the back of her head. "We still have adventures to go on."
The celebration has officially begun as everyone shared cheers and hugs all around. Takeru lowers his head with a grin. "Heroes. Not my style."
"You're a hero too Tak." Selene says as she pats him on the shoulder. Takeru turns around with a smile, and Selene immediately wraps her arms around him. "You did great."
"S-Selene..."
"He's dead! It's finally over!" The mages roared. As they continued to cheer, the council captains made their exit, walking away foe the city.
"What now?" Correll asked. "With them as heroes, our jobs won't be so...active."
"Trust me, Correll." Ultear replied. "They aren't heroes. You'll understand later."
The captains then disappear as the chants of victory echo throughout the abandoned city of Magnolia for hours on hand.

.

Standing around the gravesite, was the entire White Eclipse guild. Two new tombstones were added by Mary's, making a total of three now, as everyone was dressed in black and holding expression of sorrow as they stood in front of the gravesite. Reve sighed heavily as Nami walked up to Zalen's and Adam's tombstone, dropping a single rose on both of them.
"It's especially snowy today..." Cygnus pointed out. Luke and Jaxon nodded as they kept their eyes on the tombstones.
Reve was doing his best to hold his composure, until Taya began to rub his back, causing tears that were held in to slowly escape from his eyes. He wiped his face as he and Sidney exchanged looks and nods.
After all was said and done, everyone turned to walk back inside, only to see a figure in the distance walking towards them. A minute passed before the mages in front stood in shock, as if they've seen a ghost. Zalen made his way through the heavy snow with an iron plate wrapped around his leg, acting as a brace. He smiled at the others as he panted a bit. "Long walk when you have a brace on." He said cooly.
"Z-z..."
Zalen gave another smile as stood in front of his family. "Hi!"
"But...we saw you die." Skye said as she shook a bit.
"And you weren't gonna revive me?" Zalen asked in a joking matter as he looked over at Kuro holding the vase.
"We were gonna hold off on tampering with such magic." Calium stated. "Since dying is natural. Speaking of, Kuro, what are you going to do?"
The fire make mage turned back to Mary's grave as he held the vase that Takeru stole from Daityas back at the castle. A smile then slowly appeared on his face. "She's my sensei, my mother, my reason I'm alive. It's not fair that she isn't here." Kuro then raised the vase into the air... And then smashed it against his knee, breaking it into pieces. "But...death is natural, and I'm glad that I'm alive and that I'm the exception to that. She would love to be here, but only if it's by some natural miracle. I love Mary to death, and that'll never change, but..she would yell at me for messing with such magic.
Reve walks over and pats Kuro on the shoulder with a smile. "Come on, lets go inside. We'll make you a giant bowl of your favorite noodles."
Kuro sniffs once, and then nods with a smile, now walking with the others back inside. Aira was the last to leave the grave as everyone was already halfway to the guild. As she turned around to walk away, a familiar sound grazed her ears, causing her to turn back around and look to the snow heavy sky. She heard it again, it sounded like a feint dragon's roar. She couldn't tell if her mind was playing tricks on her or not, but she merely smiled to the sky. "Aira!" Selene called.
Aira smiles a bit more, and then turned back, and ran to catch up with her guild.

.

A similar scene took place at the Fairy Tail guild. Everyone was dressed in black as another tombstone was added to their gravesite. On the tomb, Gajeel Redfox was written. Levy and Pantherlily stood in the front. Levy took a step forward and placed a bouquet of roses down in front of the iron dragon slayers grave. As she walked back go the crowd, Jet and Droy held her as she began crying. Natsu, Gray, Lucy and Juvia, along with the others, paid their respects to their former guild mate as the rest of the guild begins to head back inside. Levy and Lily were the last to leave, and as they walked away, Lily's ears perked up. He believed he heard something as he looked up to the roof of the church like building behind him. Nothing was there. "Lily?" Levy looked towards the exceed. Lily merely shook his head after snapping out of it. "Nothing..I guess. Lets head back."

.

Months have passed since the apocalypse that threatened the entire world. Everything had returned to it's normal doing, along with some minor changes. In the newly rebuilt council headquarters however...

"State your name, your wizard class, and your guild affiliation."
Inside a dark room, with one light hanging above the room stood Correll, Odin, and a shadowy figure, to dim in the room to make out. The black haired girl across from them had green tips in her hair, matching her green eyes. She squinted past the light to correct her vision. "Evanee.. SS class wizard from Twilight Zone."
"SS class? Appointed or earned by trail?" Odin asked as he took a few steps closer to the table.
"Earned of course." She retaliated.
"That's rare these days." Correll then turns to the man sitting next to her. "Your turn."
The man next to him had his arms crossed as he sighed a bit. "Tristan Gareth. SS class from Black Phoenix. Also Earned."
Correll and Odin pull up two chairs as the sit. The shadowed man stayed in the darkness with his arms crossed behind him.
Correll then began to speak again. "Alright, so...tell us your depiction of what happened half a year ago. Evanee you first."
"Well..." She huffed a bit as she leaned into the light with her elbows on the table. "It was an apocalypse. Zeref was there... And there were nothing but mages and hoards of demons. It was as if the book of Zeref had come alive and attacked Magnolia. But.."
"But?" Odin stared at the mage intensely as she started playing with a small stone she pulled out of her pocket.
"This is stupid, you all were there. But they were defeated by the mages; mostly Fairy Tail and White Eclipse. That Natsu kid...I'm never the one for praise usually. But that kid has something in him."
"Yeah we aren't here for a scouting report." Correll stated.
"No need to get snappy." Evanee smirked back.
"Anyways." Odin said, ignoring Evanee. "Tristan right? What did Zeref say when he was standing on top of that building while his minions attacked and slaughtered many innocents?"
Tristan sighs again, wishing he could forget what happened. "All will fall to the order of I, Zeref. And there's no one to blame..."
"No one to blame but?" Correll leaned in, waiting for him to finish.
"And there's no one to blame but, Fairy Tail and White Eclipse, for aiding my guild Tartaros in my 'revival'" Tristan swallows his words, remembering the dark day from the words he recited.
