Chapter 100: Redemptive Win
"Ladies and gentlemen! In a blink of an eye, Flynn of Twilight Zone has taken seven points, grabbing a commanding lead!"
"Oh? So that's how fast you can go, hm?"
Flynn laughed in a bit of a pant.
"Oh no. I can go much faster!" He replied, grinning as he waited for Xaviere to make a move. Xavi gave a bit of of teasing smirk of his own, slowly crouching with his hands next to his side as Flynn hopped up and down ready to make a move. "Well then speedster, lets see how fast you really—"
Before he could finish his sentence, Flynn was gone again, causing Xavi to blink in confusion. "...Huh."
Back on the other side of the map, Lance was seen running forward, keeping himself vigilant as he did. "That Twilight Zone guy!" He growled, fuming as he turned the corner to the next street. A big mistake as out of nowhere, another yellow blur passed him, striking him right in the chest and disappearing again. Everyone looked up as Lance disappeared back to his respawning point to see Twilight Zone collect their eighth point.
"It's only been half a minute." Jaxon pointed out. "Yet, they have eight, and it won't stop there unless something is done." But as Jaxon tried to come up with an idea, Twilight Zone's score continued to rise and rise one point at a time — finally the weather mage shouted out in frustration. "Who's the idiot that keeps running out there!?"
"Wow, that White Eclipse Mage really isn't smart." Flynn said to himself while bouncing around in the middle of the city. "Fifteen points in one minute all thanks to him. Oh? Here he comes again!"
Immediately, Flynn took off in a blur, rushing towards Lance. "When's he going to learn?" A random asked. "I think it's nervousness getting to him." Another added. Reiss remained silent despite the comments, simply speaking to himself when he cheered Lance on. "Come on Lance. I know you have something up your sleeve..."
"Point number sixteen!" Flynn shouted, appearing behind Lance with an arm extended. That's when Lance gave a goofy grin, turning his peripherals to the incoming Flynn. He ducked, just out of reach of the speedster, but missed when he tried to tag Flynn himself — the yellow haired male lunging off to the side then leaping away once more into Crocus's main intersection. "Dammit. But that's okay. Your speeding days are over!"
Flynn raised a brow, curious to Lance knowing where he was coming from in that instance. "Care to explain?" He asked, and of course the prideful Dragon Slayer obliged. "I'm no ordinary Slayer, small fry." He replied condescendingly, yet with a tone to remind you it's simply Lance, the annoyingly goofy one. "I've fused my slaying magic along with water embodiment. All those times you've tagged me weren't free points. Now my water is embedded in your skin. I can feel you! I now know where you are at all times! I felt you coming the second you tagged me the first time! Every other time was just me trying to get my timing correct!"
Flynn's eyes widened as he played back all of the times he tagged Lance and yes, on further review, he could easily remember Lance actually attempting to make a move in order to dodge him. "Damn, I simply thought you had fast reflexes." Flynn laughed. "Sure don't!" Lance admitted whether he knew it or not. "But this strategy will keep you in check from now on!"
As he exclaimed the last part of his sentence, Lance slammed a right fist into the ground, causing water to form with him as the epicenter, puddling a small amount of the Crocus streets in each direction. Flynn hopped out the way, watching him carefully. Lance took a step forward, and the water followed.
"Now you can't attack me without me knowing for sure which way you're coming! With nine minutes left, this is the perfect way for me to catch up and retake the lead you cheesed away from everyone! Now come here!"
"He's running towards me?" Flynn questioned? Ready to charge him head on and simply use his speed to get the tag first. The second he stepped forward however, he felt the water beneath his feet, not only causing Lance to become vigilante as he charged in, but for Flynn to keep his distance just in case the water that had a mind of its own tried anything — backpedaling just as fast as Lance was running forward. "Hmph...I guess I might have to leave this one alone. That's okay. There's eight other competitors I can still tag. Lets run up the score!"
Flynn turned away, taking off in another blur and leaving Lance in the dust. The Dragon Slayer put up a comical fit, yelling at the top of his lungs. "Hey! Get back here! I just figured you out! Coward! Thou who leaves conflict! You chicken leg piece!"
His irate ranting caused the opening he needed, and before Lance knew it, he was hunched over with wide eyes as Gajeel slammed a hard uppercut into the rookie's rib cage. "Gihi! Glad I could get here without that maniac speedster noticing me. Seems like you two were too busy with each other though. Now it's time for Fairy Tail's comeback!"
"And finally! Someone else besides Twilight Zone is on the board!" Chapati's words caused Flynn to slam on the breaks, screaming "HUH" as he turned to see the board light up with Fairy Tail's name gaining that single point.
Jaxon raised a brow, yet he and the other remaining competitors came to the same conclusion. Once again, at the same time, everyone stepped off their safe zones with only one intention in mind; to win.
"I'm not letting some newbie show me up, and I don't mean that Flynn guy. Lance at least put up a strategy, and it slowed the speedster down. That proves he's all raw talent and no wisdom. I can't lose to that. I'm the Weather God Slayer. Lets get this done!"
As Jaxon shouted, the green haired Weather Mage turned with his right hand extended, firing off a typhoon powered gust of wind in that direction. "You're pushing the wind with that speed, kiddo! I know exactly where you're coming from!"
And he was completely right. With nowhere to go down the street that led to Jaxon, Flynn was a sitting duck, unable to stop his momentum in time. Though he covered himself, the strike was still successful, and the typhoon wind sent Flynn flying until he disappears, returning to a respawn point.
"And that's one point for White Eclipse! Have the tides turned!? Will we be getting a competitive event after all!?" Chapati began getting the crowd back into the fight as they slowly began cheering for their favorites, steadily growing louder as the action started to pick up from all sides. As he reappeared in his safe zone, Lance was on his knees, still holding his now bruised ribs from Gajeel's punch. A clear visual on the mark, it was deep purple, and the pain immense.
"...Lance might be done..." Tyson inquired, looking on with a somber expression. Reiss chuckled once. "I don't think so.."
slowly, Lance raised his head, baring his teeth as he sucked the air through his teeth to quell the pain. "...For some reason, I'm more pissed off than injured!"
With those words, Lance saw nothing but red as he ran off in a specific direction.
Beth Vanderwood of Mermaid Heel was seen running through the city, looking for anyone she could come in contact with, without causing much of a scene. "I'm not a heavy hitter, but I can still put us in a good spot!" She proudly said to herself. Soon, she would come to a halt, ducking behind a corner as she spotted Rufus just down the street. "Nows my chance." She assumed, and with a silent exhale, Beth turned the corner with both arms out, screaming "Carrot Missile!"
A plethora of carrots fired from her hands, traveling right to, and right through Rufus. "Ugh! Not the real thing!" She growled.
"Just a memory of the real thing." Rufus hummed, appearing above her. Quickly, Beth turned and fired her attack again, Rufus leaping out of the way before landing across from her. With a sly grin, the Memory Make Mage went on the attack to secure his first point. "Memory Make: Line of Ancient Master Swordsmen!"
From his words, Rufus summoned eight floating warriors made of ice, holding a sword and a shield in their hands. Beth squeaked. "That's overkill for one point, don't you think!?" She asked, taking a step back.
"Don't worry, Beth. They aren't just for you." As Rufus spoke, he pointed behind him, causing the other seven of the Swordsmen to run off in different locations. The last one however, charged right for the vegetation mage. "Fifteen points is quite a bit to catch up to with only eight minutes remaining, so I have to cover a wide range quickly."
As he spoke, the swordsman attacked Beth, jutting it's lance forward. She was able to leap away from its attack — it's weapon hitting the ground instead of her, but she had no defense for Rufus reappearing behind her for a simply strike to her back. It connected, causing Beth to yelp in pain before vanishing, sent to a random safe zone and away from Rufus. Sabertooth was now on the board. Rufus smiled, but then was hit with some confusion as he saw one of his creations floating back towards him. "That one I had chasing...!" His eyes lit up, and just as Flynn appeared, he ran right through Rufus — just able to create a memory of himself right before the speedster struck. "I saw it!" Flynn shouted, slamming on the breaks just to turn to his right and lunge for Rufus again. In desperation, the now two swordsmen stepped in, using their shields to block Flynn from getting to Rufus just in time.
"It's not enough to be fast, you have to be sneaky too?" Rufus asked through bared teeth and an annoyed smile. Flynn have a determined smirk of his own, a feeble attempt to push through the creations as he and Rufus held a stalemate. "It looks like you're all adapting to my speed. Guess that means I'll just have to amp it up, huh!?"
Gajeel growled whilst running through Crocus. "Ever since that slippery guy started this event off, I just feel slow. And he has fifteen points. Oh well, it's going to be a pain, but I'll catch up. Huh?" He looked to his right, slowing his run to a stop as he noticed one of the competitors sitting in his safe zone, looking on something that seemed to be a screen. "What's he doing? What team is he on?" Gajeel asked, watching closely from a distance. He could just hear some murmuring coming from the young boy. He had short black hair; straight. Along with that, he wore a pair of headphones that kept the side of his hair compressed against his head. With yellow eyes, and three yellow hexagons tattooed under his right one, the young boy didn't show to be much of a threat physically. But Gajeel couldn't help but to feel uneasy, especially when a very small snake appeared from under the boy's left sleeve.
The Iron Dragon continued to watch, wondering what he was murmuring about.
"So with everything in place, I'll be able to shut them down in about... Now."
Yellow eyes then turned to their peripherals, spotting Gajeel directly behind him. Gajeel perked up, readying himself for an attack of any kind, except he didn't expect one from underground as a giant snake surfaced from directly underneath, ramming directly into the Fairy and sending him into the air. "What the!?"
It didn't hurt too much, but a strike was a strike, and suddenly, Gajeel found himself in a new safe zone, cursing himself as his hair shadowed over his eyes. "Ya think you're a slick one, do you small fry?"
"That's a snake!" A random shouted. "He's with Empyrean Dawn, so that's a criminal, right? What was his name again? Ano?"
"Give us one second ladies and gentlemen! From request by Princess Hisui and the Council Chairman we will have Lucius Kaiser mic'd up to give us brief rundowns of every competitors from Empyrean Dawn. Mr. Kaiser, can you hear us fine?"
"Hiiii! Lucius Kaiser! Jenny Realight here!" She squealed into the microphone like a fan girl, causing the other two to comically keel over.
"Mhm. Hello, Jenny. It's been a while since I've seen you. Please don't be a stranger."
"Huh...huh...?" Lyon couldn't form a coherent sentence at what could be distinguished as innuendo between the two. "But I'm here to explain to you all who Ano Lyrai is, correct?"
"Yes, please!" Chapati replied, and Kaiser would commence as the event continued on.
"Though he is indeed label as a criminal, Ano has killed no one. He's harmed not a single soul at all. However his magic is definitely unique and has gotten him into a lot of trouble. You see, Ano is what we like to call...a hacker mage."
"A hacker mage?" Lyon repeated in question.
"Though he has a secondary magic involving his snakes, Ano's primary magic relies on the manipulation of anything that uses magic. And I mean anything. He can rewrite other people's magic, as well as 'shutdown' their magic as well. No commoner would know of Ano, because his crimes weren't a front page type of thing. But this famous hacker gave security around Ishgar fits, and at such a young age too."
Lyon then side eyed the wizard saint. "You say that like it's an accomplishment."
Kaiser then smirked. "Of course no one sees it like that. No one but me of course. But everyone will be thanking Ano soon, whether they know it or not, because she about to even the playing field..."
"Speaking of the playing field!" Chapati shouted as the five minute mark appeared — halfway through the event. Out of nowhere, a couple of mages were transported to another safe zone, a lot closer to other competitors now whether they were tagged or not. Rufus looked around frantically, noticing he and his swordsmen were no longer fighting against Flynn. "Huh?! I wasn't tagged though!" And that remained the case as he looked up at the board to see that Flynn's score didn't change. "With five minutes remaining, we've shrunken the map in order to pick up the intensity! Good luck to you all!"
This variable gave Ano the most wicked grin as the kid spoke. "Unexpected, but it plays into my favor. Now! Magic-Pulse!"
He waited for the right time, when everyone was on the attack again, but upon his exclamation, a large ball of clear magic appeared above everyone. That ball would then explode, covering the entire area and affecting everyone. It stung, and everyone was struck. Screams of pain given off in every direction, and out of nowhere, Empyrean Dawn's numbers ran up, quickly putting them in second with eight quick points; nine in total.
"W-Whoa! That move has skyrocketed Empyrean Dawn into second place! Amazing display by the Hacker Mage, Ano Lyrai!"
"What the hell was that!?" Gajeel growled, baring his teeth at the competition, wherever they were. "A widespread attack like that? It wasn't too effective, but here it doesn't matter how much it hurts, as long as it hits...dammit! That damn Empyrean guy! I'll be sure to get him back! In fact...ROAR...!"
Gajeel took in a deep breath, filling his lungs with air as he prepared to fire off the patented Dragon Slaying attack. Unfortunately, nothing happened. He didn't feel any magic gaining in his lungs, just air. "...wait."
"I can't run fast...?!" Flynn was jogging, literally jogging through the streets, a wide open target as he continued to pick up speed with no success. "What's going on!?"
"My magic isn't working at all.." Jaxon reiterated what everyone else was going through. "And we're out the safe zones again! Tch!"
Just as everyone complained, Kaiser smiled again. "And that, his one of his favorite techniques. The Magic-Pulse he calls our, giving him the ability to shut down magic within an area for a limited time. Usually it'll last around thirty seconds."
"Amazing. This kid has yet to leave his safe zone once this event, yet he's taken control of the entire things!" Chapati's impressed state echoed that of the crowd's as a random shouted. "Nows his chance to take the lead!"
An Ano took full advantage. Placing his hand on the ground, nothing happened on the surface, but underground, nine trails went in separate directions, seeking out their prey.
"No! Being magicless doesn't a thing!" Lance shouted, running as fast as he could through the Crocus streets, searching for an opponent. As he did however, he looked back, noticing one of those underground trails rushing right for him. He did his best to stay ahead of it as it slowly caught up, and as he turned back forward, he spotted a speed less Flynn. Faster than him without magic, Lance kept a determined expression. "It's a game of tag and nothing else! I don't need magic for that, and I won't embarrass my guild with a low score! Come here...Flynn!"
Lance reached out for the yellow haired male, and Flynn turned to see him with nowhere to go. And...
Just before he could tag him, a portal opened, slamming both Lance and Flynn's head into the ground and causing them to disappear. "But what's this!? Against the odds of the Magic Pulse...Black Phoenix's Alexander Khan uses his own magic to take advantage and grab two points.
"Lets go Alexa! Smart move!" Asuka shouted from the stands.
Ano's eyes widened from Chapati's words and as the two trails that were chasing Flynn and Lance earlier turned to Alexander, the boy kept a stoic visage as he waited for them to show themselves.
Sting raised a brow as a recollection just struck. "That's..."
Rogue nodded. "It took me a while too, but that's indeed the same Alexander." Minerva kept her back turned, refusing to acknowledge as Rogue continued. "He was not only a Sabertooth Mage, but that magic. He was Mi'lady's understudy."
"Oh!" Yukino then remembered. "You're right! I wonder why he left us then? And I wonder why we never noticed such talent. Minerva-Sama?"
No comment from her. Orga simply raised a brow towards her before turning back to the action at hand. "Wait. But how was he not affected by the Magic-Pulse thing?" The God Slayer asked.
{During the Magic-Pulse}
As the Magic-Pulse formed above everyone, Alexander took precaution the moment he saw it. So with correct timing, just before the attack went off, Alexander transported himself, traversing through space of his transportation portal and away from the range of the Pulse before reappearing upon the battlefield.
{End}
Alexander then went on a small tear, able to collect seven points after taking out Rufus, Beth, Lance and Flynn again, and finally, Semmes.
"And just like that, Alexander takes advantage of Ano's magic and gains third place for Black Phoenix! Can he keep this momentum rolling!?" Chapati would ask, keeping the crowd hype with anticipation. Again Alexander stood there as that which traveled underground chased him. Eventually the five people he tagged no longer had anything chasing them since they now rested in safe zones. They now targeted the Phoenix instead, and as they all raised from underground to tower over Alexander, to no surprise thanks to Kaiser they were five snakes, massive in size and threatening his well-being. Alexander showed no fear, readying himself to defeat them, which caused Minerva to look over her shoulder in curiosity. As she did however, the War Goddess sucked her teeth. "Idiot...below you."
The five behemoths were simply a distraction, and as they did their part, Alexander felt a very sharp pain in his left arm, causing him to cry out and instinctively grab his arm. "Gah! What the!?" As he looked down, an average sized serpent had sunk its fangs into Alexander's arm, causing him to disappear back to a safe zone and gaining Ano another point; nine in total.
"Dummy!" Asuka shouted the loudest with her sidekick Chiara simultaneously shouting the same thing. "Be aware of your surroundings!"
"He's hurt." Diamond added, causing Asuka and the others to immediately drop their scolding and turn back to Alexander. Eyes widened once they saw what was wrong exactly, and the mage's entire left arm was now purple, pulsating in pain as the rest of him became more pale than usual.
"Alexa!?" Asuka shouted. "He's poisoned. That snake poisoned him. That's messed up!" Ethan added.
Alexander slowly stood up, heaving as he tightly grasped his arm. "Seven points...that's third place. Not bad for a finish...but the event isn't over yet. With White Eclipse and Fairy Tail here, I'm up against miracle workers. I can't stop now. I'll just do this with one arm!"
Alexander then ripped off the bottom of his shirt, using his teeth and right arm to tighten the ripped portion around his left shoulder to keep the poison from spreading as much as he could. Allowing his arm to fall limp, the Phoenix would then continue onward, getting a loud pop from the fans watching.
And that just made Ano and his underhanded trick public enemy number one.
"Three minutes remaining!" Chapati shouted as the timer reflected his words, and everyone went at it. Ano and his snakes, Rufus and his swordsmen he created remained a factor as well as Beth planting vegetation traps everywhere she ran. What was most important is that everyone now had an account for Flynn's current speed, causing the advantage to somewhat disappear, but it was still a big aid for him. Jaxon's weather magic gave him a great advantage for ranged attacked, picking out people away from crowded areas for easy points as well as taking on more than one from a distance with his unpredictable weather attacks. He was slowly dominating the scene, the green haired mage of White Eclipse taking no mercy upon his foes for even a second.
With thirty seconds left, Chapati made one last announcement. "Thirty seconds remained! Now every tag is worth twice the points and there are no more safe zones! With White Eclipse A clawing back in front with twenty two points the last two minutes, an amazing feat, will anyone catch up to Jaxon Meteoro? It doesn't look like the Council will, as Xaviere only has three points!"
"Ah, three points, hm? I guess it's my time now."
This entire time, the Council team was never seen shouting, cheering nor jeering the underperforming teammate. It was as if they understood what was coming. Xavi slowly clenched his right fist by his side. "Fear what you can't see. Taihō: Bomber!" In the small space that remained, Xavi fires his fist forward, punching the air with a straight punch. Nothing happened for a few seconds, causing everyone to murmur in confusion, calling the Warden a bluff. But that very next second, a strong wind picked up from behind and suddenly, street signs and and small buildings began to tear apart from their foundations. The blast would catch up to the competitors, and no one was protected. Nothing could be seen but the distortions in the wind, yet bruisings would form against them, sending them flying and crashing just like the buildings around them.
"What in the hell was that!?" Jaxon shouted in disbelief. Even Lucius Kaiser heralded an inquiry to what just happened, but no one had time to answer, as Xavi was already standing before his next prey — Flynn.
"Remember me, speedy?" He asked Flynn. Stuck in awe, Flynn could see the score board just behind Xaviere. That single blow gave the Council man a whopping eighteen points after striking everyone. With the three he already had, Xavi was now in second with twenty one and only ten seconds remaining...tied with The Twilight Zone representative himself.
"No..." Flynn refused to be the reason he made a comeback, so he took off in a full sprint, only to be cut off by Xavi again.
"How did he...?" Rylo asked, blinking once. Evanee was unfazed, but the others couldn't understand just how their speedster was being outran. Before Flynn could slide to a halt, a knee raised, slamming into his abdomen and causing him to vanish to another location.
"Five seconds left and I'm tied for first? Too easy." Xavi said, turning his sights eastward before disappearing.
Four...
Three...
Xavi appeared again just behind Jaxon, swinging a punch for the back of the Weather Mage's head.
Two...
One...
His head snapped...back... Xavi holding his nose in surprise as everything became deathly still and quiet. Jaxon was holding up a single fist, and without looking back, as the horn blared, he spoke.
"I don't know what kind of magic you have. Both you displayed are a mystery, but it doesn't defy the laws of nature. The wind distortions told me you'd arrive her. And that's why...White Eclipse wins this event."
As he walked off, the crowd cheered at a volume of an entirely new height as Chapati rallied them, tallying the points of everyone out loud as he ended the event and its dramatic finish. "Ladies and Gentlemen! We have time! In dramatic fashion, the winner with twenty three points! Jaxon Meteoro and White Eclipse A! That's ten points for them!"
As he walked back to his team, nothing but smiles and celebrations all around were given. Redemption from his last year performance was an understatement, and Jaxon was on cloud nine, no matter how much he kept it cool. "Good job." Reve said to him. Jaxon grinned and saluted back to the captain, not needing to say a word as he did.
"In second place, just falling one short it's the Council team with Xaviere! Nine points for them!"
"Got a bit cocky there, huh Warden?" Olivia asked in a stoic tone as the others laughed at Xavi's walk of shame back to the team. "Heh, he sure caught me by surprise. Whew, I can feel big bro giving me the evil eye right now." Xavi said, joining in the laughter.
"In third place with twenty one points, it's Flynn of Twilight Zone! He secured eight points for his guild!"
"Whew, Flynn!" Melanie shouted, waving as the others waited for him to return to his team. "You did great man." Rylo reassured. "Better than I thought he would." Evanee coldly stated.
"In fourth place it's Black Phoenix with seven points from Alexander Khan! An impressive display with one arm!"
"Are you okay!?" Diamond asked, holding him up as the other crowded around him. "Yeah, I'm fine. I wish I could have done...more though."
"Forget all that, Alexa!" Asuka shouted. "Lets get you to Ivixa, she can fix you up and get rid of this poison. Before you lose an arm!"
"In fifth place, it's Ano Lyrai from Empyrean Dawn! They now have six points to their name!" Ano walked over, bowing before his team. "Sorry I couldn't acquire more. Numerous variables were unaccounted for and I failed to calculate them in time."
Marshall then palmed the top of his head, causing the kid to squirm in pain as he was lifted from his feet. They were ready to help Ano out until Marshall spoke. "Top five? For a pipsqueak like you who's afraid of physical conflict? Sounds like a win for me. Keep your head up, Pride is proud of you."
"In sixth place, it's Rufus Lore! Sabertooth has five points!"
"And in seventh..."
{Flashback}
Four...

While all eyes were on Xavi and Jaxon
Two...
"I might not be first or close to it, but I can't go out so low!" Gajeel shouted, lunging for both Semmes and Beth who stood near each other. "This will at least get me back to fifth!"
"I didn't forget..." His words were a bubbly echo, and before Gajeel could realize it, a puddle of water from beneath him reformed into Lance himself, slamming a head butt directly into Gajeel's abdomen. "...you from earlier!"
A bold move that would leave a last impression, as Lance not only stopped Gajeel from leaping up the rankings to fifth, but he even surpassed him at the last second.
{End}
"In seventh, it's Lance Stygma of White Eclipse B! That's four points!"
"Hey, great finish!" Reiss shouted, high-fiving the fellow rookie. Micaiah nodded along, smiling. "Good job, Lance. You did a lot there in the closing moments, and you also started the trend of slowing that Flynn guy down. Don't let any of that go unnoticed."
Lance welled up in comical tears, hugging Micaiah tightly. "Event captain! That's means so much to me thank youuuu!"
"P-please let me go!"
"In eighth, it's Fairy Tail's Gajeel with three points!"
"He's definitely not happy." Lily said with crossed arms. Levy could only sigh as Gajeel was nowhere to be seen at the moment. From his own undisclosed location, the iron dragon slammed a fist into the wall, creating a crater. "I'll rip that fish boy apart. Embarrassing me? He won't get away with it."
"Ninth place and two points belongs to Beth Vanderwood, and finally, in tenth with zero, is Semmes from Quatro Cerberus!"
Beth rubbed the back of her head with a nervous laugh as Kagura sighed, but Semmes stayed on his knees crying in defeat as Bacchus smiled, patting him on the back. "You were Wild, Semmes!"
"F-F-F-Four." He cried back.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, it's intermission time, but it will be brief, because coming up next are the day one fights! Starting us off, it'll be White Eclipse B's Lluvi Palmero vs. Empyrean Dawn's Julia Roulette! Followed by Quatro Cerberus's Jaeger vs. Sabertooth's Dobengal!"
"Alright! You're up, Lluvi! Show them what al your training has been about!" Reiss shouted, giving the blue haired female a thumbs up. She returned it with a blushing nod. "Right. I'll give it my all." She replies with petite clenched fists, and as intermission ended, she made her entry as Chapati shouted for her name once more.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, from White Eclipse B, it's Lluvi Palmero! And her opponent, from Empyrean Dawn—"
Kaiser cleared his throat. "I'll take it from here, Chapati. From Empyrean Dawn, it's one half of the criminal duo the Roulette sisters, Julia Roulette."
As Julia entered the ring, she immediately began to pray, causing everyone to look on confusion. "Is she religious? A criminal, religious?" Lluvi asked herself. Julia then reopened her eyes and shouted. "Flame Claws!" From her exclamation, a light in her hands began to shine, but as they took form, it formed into a large ogre like club, causing her to sigh heavily. "I wanted my Flame Claws, dammit!"
This caused Lluvi to look on with somewhat of a disgusted look. "You can't control your own summoning magic?" She asked. Julia simply replied. "Sure can't." To which Kaiser added. "But that's what makes the Roulette sisters so deadly.
Chapati: First bout of the day! Lluvi vs. Julia!
Begin!
