Beautiful with you Chapter 1

Sarah meets a stranger after the worst day of her life, the day of her red test and for some reason is drawn to him. But their time is cut short, a fling never to be repeated. She is later sent to LA to work on a joint CIA/NSA project unaware that the events of her worst day might have a happy ending, but what is seen on the surface is not always pleasant.

(Police chatter in the background)

Jenny skidded to a stop. She was sure that she was running in the right direction. Her dad had drilled it in her for months. She could still hear all the Feds and ATF Agents in the background. She found the tree and dropped to her knees and frantically brushed all the leaves and debris away from where the stash was kept, so she thought. She finally hit something and pulled it out. Hoping that it was the stash, otherwise she'd be left with nothing. It was a metal box taped with brown packaging tape. She grabbed her knife with a red handle and scored the edges so she could get inside. She ripped open the lid and found it full of cash and a note that read 'In Case of Emergency Love You, Daddy.'

Jenny heard footsteps in the leaves and flung her knife just missing the stranger who later introduced himself as Langston Graham, the man that put her dad in jail. She listened to the man who seemed to know a lot about her which worried her. But he wasn't there to arrest her like he did her dad, nor take the stash of money. He was there to save her from her self. His words "I can save your life too."

He continued to talk. "Your dad trained you pretty well. The CIA can do even better." Jenny continued to listen. "You like names so much, hmm? What do you think about Sarah Walker?

That was three years ago. Langston had kept her out of the public eye for a year after her dad was put in jail. He felt the reason was just in case the people that her dad had conned, could come looking for her and unfortunately a few tried.

Langston made sure she got her grade 12 and with the added confidence she got she changed her look. She got rid of the braces and colored her hair back to her original blonde. She gained some more muscle and trained everyday. She was ready for the next chapter. Langston hurried all the paper work allowing Sarah to join early, she excelled in every class and training exercises. She quickly got the title of the wild card. But with all the accolades, she was quiet, had very few friends and even more enemies. But one Agent in training, a long legged red head named Carina Miller seemed to ignore those who bewildered Sarah and the two quickly became friends. Carina packed her bags and tagged along with the DEA, as

Sarah sat on a flight to Paris. She had just finished her training at the Farm, she was now ready to get her CIA badge, but she had to complete her red test. She had heard of this test in many of her classes. And after a long road to get there, she'd be in and out and ready to see the world as an Agent.

Sarah arrived in Paris, found her hotel and waiting on the bed for her was her mission package. It was in dark brown envelope with her name on it. She was still getting use to the name Sarah Walker so seeing it on the envelope threw her for a loop. She ripped open the envelope and pulled out a photo. On the back it had the person's name, their schedule and where to find them. Sarah looked at her watch and had a few hours to go knowing that her target would be near by. Sarah grabbed her heavier coat, put her hair down, grabbing her purse and heading down the stairs not wanting to be seen as she slipped outside. She had memorized the address where her target would be and had burned the photo as they were taught not to leave any evidence lying around. She saw that it was eight o'clock. Four rings had gone and she saw her target, five, six, Sarah approached her target like a panther meeting its prey, seven, and as Sarah fired the shot it blended in with the eighth ring. She saw her target fall backwards hitting the cobblestone sidewalk. Sarah slid her gun into her pocket and pulled on her purse strap bringing it close to her body slipping into the shadows of the Paris night.

She was told to walk a few blocks then toss her gun into the river. Find a café and be seen but not seen as they put it. So, Sarah knew to blend in but not make a scene. She walked past a few cafés but none looked inviting. She walked around Paris until she heard another clock ring this time she heard nine rings. She looked up and saw a small but quaint café just in time as it started to rain. She ran across the street holding her purse over her head. She reached the door and shook her purse of the excess water and entered. The music was playing in the background and about a hand full of patrons were drinking coffee. She found a spot, took her jacket off and ordered a coffee and something to eat, when she noticed her hands were shaking. She slid them under the table clasping them hoping to make the shaking go away. Today was the worst day of her life.

She thanked the waitress for her order and zoned out unaware of the other patrons. She figured she wouldn't hear till maybe morning of the results but dead is dead, right? She sipped her coffee and was bumped as a young man walked past her. Sarah saw him but never paid any attention to what he was doing. As she moved her chair she saw that the man had taken her purse. She was about to get up when she saw a stranger approach the purse snatcher and throws him to the floor. Sarah watches as the stranger grab her purse. The purse snatcher struggled and got loose as Sarah approached causing the stranger to loosen his grip. He stands up as the purse snatcher runs out. He goes after him but Sarah says let him go. He comes back and picks up her purse and walks it over to her as she is standing halfway from the door. "Merci?"

"Your welcome."

"You speak English?"

"As much as the next person."

"Okay thanks for rescuing my purse."

"Yeah I have found that anything loose is fair game."

Sarah walked back to her table.

"I'm Chuck?"

"Sarah."

"Nice to meet you Sarah."

Sarah was about to say something when she saw someone at the door giving her a nod. Sarah grabbed her jacket and purse. "Nice to meet you and thanks. But I got to go."

"Yeah. Nice to meet you."

Sarah walked to the door as Chuck found a seat. Chuck grabbed a menu, he looked up assuming that it was the waitress but it was Sarah. She leaned in and gave him a kiss. "Thanks."

Chuck touched his cheek. Sarah looked at him. "Can I buy you a coffee later?"

"Sure."

"Tomorrow, here. Let's say 10:30?"

"10:30." Chuck nervously answered.

"Okay, goodnight Chuck."

Sarah left leaving Chuck subtly holding his cheek.

The next day – early morning

Sarah walked into her hotel room hours later holding some precious metal. She tossed her things and drew a bath. She came out looked at the leather case. She opened it up and saw her badge. Her name and the letters CIA. It was official and she was exhausted but her worst day had an interesting twist to it. She slipped into her short shorts and t shirt and slipped under the covers.

Hours later

Sarah got up looking at the clock, it read 8:45. She wondered if she should meet this Chuck. She hoped that she could find it the café from last night. She got dressed, wearing dark jeans, white tank top and her leather jacket. Her flight had her leaving in a few days to head to Brazil and meet up with Carina and two other agents and wouldn't be back in DC till next week. This was her life now, so a cup of coffee with a stranger who looked like Chuck wasn't a bad idea.

Sarah rounded the corner and saw the small café. It was 10:25. "Five minutes to spare." She looked through the window and finds him sitting at a far window. She stands there lacking the nerve to meet him. But as she looked at him she knew that there was something about him, something safe. She learned how to read people from her dad but she wasn't ready for a relationship nor getting involved with anyone. It was just coffee, she was a spy first and foremost. "It's just coffee, right."

Chuck looked up and almost fell off his chair. His smiled was infectious. His brown eyes melted her heart. Chuck pulled out her chair as she sat down. "Good morning."

"Good Morning Sarah."

They stared at each other then Chuck looked at her. "I'll go and get us some coffee and something to eat? Anything specific?"

"Surprise me."

Sarah watched him pick out the croissants pointing at the exact ones he wanted. He looked back at her as Sarah quickly diverted her eyes but went back to looking at him. Chuck smiled and came back and made another trip to get the coffees. He sat down. "Paris and breakfast, croissants and chocolate to boot, wow."

Sarah chuckled.

"So I am guessing your new to Paris?"

Chuck had bit into his, finished chewing then wiped his lips. "Yeah, just travelling through Europe. Heading back home in a few days, thought that I would come to Paris. Not staying long as I find it too romantic for one person."

"Too romantic?"

Chuck looked at her. "Paris needs to be seen with another person, a spouse or boy friend or girl friend or a friend who is a girl or boy."

"And your solo?"

"Solo is okay but I like Luke?"

Sarah looked at him. "What?"

"Sorry Star Wars reference."

"Star Wars?"

"You don't know about Star Wars?" Chuck shocked.

"No sorry, what is it?"

Chuck laughed. "It's a space movie, classic."

"Sorry, not into movies, music or anything else."

"Except being beautiful." Chuck smiled.

Sarah blushed.

"Sorry too formal?"

"No, I am guessing Chuck that is who you are."

"I try not to be. My sister says that I am too nice."

"You have a sister?"

"Yeah, she's a doctor, dating a doctor."

"Wow, and you?"

"Just graduated from Stanford, Computer Engineering."

"Impressive."

"Thanks and you?"

"Government."

"Boring. But very very important."

"It is."

"Are you going to be in Paris long?" Chuck looks at her as he takes a sip.

"No, need to catch a flight to my next appointment."

"So the Government has you travelling."

"It seems to be going that way, at least for now."

They chatted and waited for a refill. Chuck paid and they headed outside. They didn't want to say good bye. But neither one knew what to say or do next. They walked for an hour, making small talk. They found a bench and sat down and chatted some more. The day followed with a late lunch, with wine, food and good company. Sarah continued to be smitten with this stranger, she felt safe, she didn't see him as a threat as he had passed all her tests. He had no affiliation with any spy organization, that she could see and even if he did. She hadn't disclosed anything that wasn't somewhat the truth.

She knew his name and he knew hers but as they talked she wondered if they had met in a previous life time, just two people searching for each other and finally finding themselves. They walked along the other side of the river from where Sarah was the day before. They found a bench and watched the sun set. "I guess the day is over?"

Sarah looked at him. "I had a great time."

"Me too, so much for not meeting you earlier."

Sarah looked at him and yes it would have been nice to have met him all before this but after the day she had yesterday, today was like a fairy tale, even if she only had her prince for a few hours.

Whatever it was, wherever the confidence came from Chuck leaned in and kissed Sarah. When she didn't pull back. Chuck slid closer and placed his hand on her cheek. She felt his lips press into hers and she closed her eyes. They dueled for owner ship but it didn't matter, neither of them had been kissed like that before.

Sarah placed her hand on his as she leaned back looking at him. "Wow."

"Yeah, that was."

"No, Chuck that was nice."

She grabbed his hand in hers.

They got up heading back towards the café that they met earlier in the day. Sarah noticed the guy that tried to take her purse. The two walked up to him as he tried to take someone else's purse. He snatched it and grabbed it but failed to watch where he was going. He ran into Sarah and as he looked up he heard her say. "You never learn."

Sarah threw the man across the sidewalk. Chuck watched as the man grabbed a bottle and broke it and came charging after them. Chuck raised his foot getting the man in the stomach preventing him from going after Sarah, Chuck was hit with something by another bystander who thought that he was the guy that took her purse, but ended up making it worse. Chuck grabbed his face and looked at her. "Really?"

Sarah grabbed Chuck's hand. "Let's go. My hotel isn't too far from here."

Chuck held his cheek as Sarah led them to her room. She grabbed a towel and wet it. "Go sit down."

Chuck took his jacket off and sat by the window. Sarah came back and turned on the light by the table. She looked at it and pressed the towel into his cheek. "She got you good but I don't think that you will need stitches."

"Good cause I don't like needles."

Sarah smile down at him. Chuck tried not to react as Sarah's chest as beautiful as it was, was way too close for his taste, but he wasn't complaining.

Sarah cleaned up the cut and taped it and watched it for a bit to see if the tape would hold. When it did she took her hand away. She cleaned up and headed to the bathroom. "Help yourself to anything in the bar fridge."

Chuck walked over and opened the door. "What would you like? Scotch, vodka."

"Sure."

Chuck brought out two scotches.

Sarah grabbed the menu and looked up at him. "What would you like? Our last night and all."

"Surprise me." Sarah bit her lip as she turned to order.

The food came and the wine was poured and by midnight, the evening and how it unfolded was a mystery. Was it fate, right place right time or something more? Chuck leaned in and watched as Sarah slid her hands into his shirt and lifted it off his head. She met his lips and kissed him softly as he slid her tank top up and over her head. He ran his fingers over her chest that now exposed her breasts. He held her close running his fingers up her back unclasping her bra and tossing it somewhere. He carried her with one hand to the bed and laid her down. His strength impressed her but it was also how he meticulously took care of her. From removing her clothes to kissing her, taking his time and unlocking a lot of firsts that rattled the insides of Sarah Walker. When they slipped under the covers and were one, the world went silent. They moved in sync memorizing every inch of their bodies. Chuck continued to kiss her and make love to her. It was not sex but Sarah was still new to all of this and maybe Chuck knew that but he never asked. He just took his time and whatever he did to her, he reacted with a smile. Chuck rolled onto his back allowing him to look at her. He placed his hands on her hips as she moved slowly, awkward at times but Chuck was patient and she could feel it. He waited till she got her confidence and when they started to make love again, she appreciated all that he did.

He felt amazing as he continued to move with her and she allowed herself to be taken completely by him but it was his lips, that when they were touching hers, that connection was sealed.

The next morning

Sarah came back to bed with a tray of coffee, chocolate croissants as Chuck sat up. But before he grabbed his coffee he leaned in to kiss her. "Good morning."

"Good Morning."

He whispered. "You okay?"

She was surprised that he would ask her that. But she knew that he was that kind of person.

"Yeah."

Chuck sat up and took one of the cups. They ate and finished their coffee and ended up holding each other.

"Last night was." Sarah nervously spoke.

Chuck looked at her. "I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that it was."

Sarah looked at him. Chuck smiled. "It's okay, I feel honoured."

"Your probably thinking, how would someone not by now."

Chuck sat up. "No, don't say that, who am I to judge, or anyone for that matter. I'm not an expert."

"You could have fooled me."

Chuck blushed. "Thanks for the confidence but in truth you are the second girl that I have been with and the first girl, well it was a mistake so maybe you can help me start over."

Sarah looked up at him as he rolled into her. She looked at him and caressed his stubble chin then ran her fingers through his chest hairs.

"Maybe I can."

Chuck undid Sarah's belt on her robe and opened it wide taking in all of her. She laid back as he started kissing her taunt stomach then her breast making sure that they were taken care off. Then he reached her lips.

Sarah tried to removed the sheet allowing Chuck to roll into her. Like the first and second time the third time was even more special.

Chuck got dressed and sat on the edge of the bed. Sarah had put on her robe and walked towards Chuck. Chuck stood up as Sarah fell into his arms. "I hate this."

"Just think of it as a world wind affair, and you're a spy and I was your mark and we will leave it a that."

Sarah wasn't ready for any of this. And what he just said, if he knew that he was right. She closed her eyes, trying to remember him. Chuck looked at her. "We will always have Paris."

He kissed her softly and walked to the door.

"Ms. Sarah it was a pleasure."

"Walker."

"What?"

"Sarah Walker. My name is Sarah Walker."

Chuck smiled.

"Well Ms. Walker. Here's looking at you kid."
