The Gryffindor dormitories were almost empty save for Remus and Sirius. James was off harassing (ehem...wooing...) the unattainable Lily Evans and it was suspected Peter was down in the kitchens stuffing his face. Remus was absorbed in reading Hogwarts- A History once again, and Sirius...Sirius was doing absolutely nothing. Sirius was on his bed, lying on his back, and staring at the spots on the ceiling, recalling where they had came from. He slowly turned on his side to face Remus, and took in his appearance.

Remus was propped up against his pillows with a book in between slender fingers and his honey-colored eyes sparkling. His tawny hair was in disarray, and he was chewing his bottom lip. Sirius gave out a very dog-like whine. He wished he could kiss Remus then, he looked so adorable. 'But when does he not?' Sirius thought to himself.

Meanwhile, Remus was not reading his book at all; he was watching Sirius out of the corner of his eyes.

He didn't like the way Sirius looked at him. It brought a slight blush to his porcelain face. Normally he would get annoyed if someone stared at him, but with Sirius...he just felt flustered. There was no doubt in his mind that he liked his best friend, and it made him a bit uncomfortable sometimes. "Sirius, you can stop staring at me now."

"But my dear moony, you are just so much fun to stare at, I can't help it", Sirius half-joked, and Remus turned a nice shade of pink. Sirius chuckled, and made his way over to Remus' bed. Remus pretended to read his book again.

Sirius sat down.

He pretended not to notice.

Sirius stared.

He pretended not to notice.

Sirius curled up next to him, and he tried to focus on his book as much as he could, but how could he when the most gorgeous boy in Hogwarts, his best friend, his obsession, was so close he could feel the heat radiating off of Sirius in waves? Remus slowly put his book down and curled up next to Sirius, who responded by wrapping one of his arms around the skinnier boy.

Remus could feel Sirius' breath in his ear, and it sent shivers down his spine. Sirius took it as him being cold, and held him even closer. Sirius was now snuggled up with his head near Remus' neck. It was so close, that he just wanted to kiss it, and out of pure impulse, he did just that. Remus tensed but did nothing to stop him, so he continued planting kisses up and down the pale exposed skin on his neck. He slowly made his way back down again to Remus' collarbone, and lightly nipped it, which led Remus to shiver and groan, after which he slowly sat up. "Why...why did you do that?" He managed to get out over his confusion and ecstasy.

Sirius suddenly became very interested in his hands and replied "I..don't know". Remus' face dropped, which was lost on Sirius who was still staring at his hands. He continued, "Remus, I-", He paused, "I really like you.

"I know it's wrong, you're one of my best friends, and we can totally forget this ever happened if you want, just please don't hate-" and could not finish rambling because he found a pair of warm lips over his. Sirius tangled his hands in soft hair and found a pair of arms around his waist.

Because of lack of air, they finally broke apart, and Remus smiled and answered,

"I like you too".
