Author's Note: In the last chapter I didn't write what the Jack Rabbit costume looked like there is a reason for that. Throughout this story, his costume will be getting updates so I didn't want to spoil what it will look like. Also, Izuku has been a vigilante for months before he was captured so the story will deviate from cannon a little bit.

tiguylerobot: He didn't use his quirk in the altercation last chapter but that doesn't mean he hasn't used it before.

In a small apartment was a slim beautiful woman with long green hair who looked to be in her late 20s to early 30s. She was currently doing laundry and putting away any loose toys. While she was doing all this she had a big bright smile on her face thinking how lucky she is to have her family.

Inko Midoriya loves her family. She loves her husband Hisashi and her beautiful baby boy Izuku. She also loves their small apartment, even though it's not a big house it's comfy and it's home.

Inko walked into the kitchen to make a snack for Izuku when he wakes up from his nap. She was currently cutting an apple into slices and cutting the slices into smaller pieces so it would be easier for Izuku to eat.

Ever since her son was born she became a stay-at-home mom to take care of him. While her husband worked she would spend time working around the house like cleaning up, making most of the meals, and looking after Izuku. She knows that her family would have more money if she had a paying job but after her son was born she couldn't bear being separated from her son for long hours in the day.

She's also grateful for the sacrifices her husband makes to support them.

Her husband Hisashi knew he couldn't ask her to get a job after seeing her hold Izuku for the first time. But it doesn't mean that he doesn't try to spend time with Izuku. Some days when he has time he would make breakfast for them and when he gets home from work he would always play with Izuku, even when he's tired from a long day of work. And he would always read Izuku a story before bed.

She couldn't have been any luckier to have married him.

After she finished sliding the apple pieces into a bowl she heard her son beginning to stir awake on the baby monitor. She put the knife in the sink and washed her hands and walked towards Izuku's room.

When she walked into her son's room she saw him sitting up and when he saw her his face brighten up with a big smile.

"Hey sweety, did you have a nice nap?" Inko said in a sweet calm voice.

Izuku looked like he was trying to say something but all that came out were cute babbles.

"Aw. Still trying to say your first word?" Inko started, "Don't worry you'll figure it out soon. Now, why don't we go to the living room for a few cartoons."

Inko picked up her son and carried him into the living room and sat him down on the floor.

"Now, let mama go get your snack," Inko said turning on the tv.

As Inko left to go get Izuku's snack Izuku was enticed by his favorite show, "All Might and Friends!" It's a show about problem-solving, education, and adventure. It also had his favorite hero as well, All Might.

To him, All Might is the greatest hero of all time. He became his favorite hero when he saw a news report of him saving people from a villain after sneaking out of his room to find his mama. He remembered her being upset because he saw something inappropriate.

But he didn't feel scared. He was awestruck by the muscly man saving everyone with a smile on his face.

When Inko returned with the bowl of apple pieces she picked up Izuku and had him face her.

"Alright, Izuku let's do this again," Inko said with a smile, "Say, Mama. Say, Mama."

Inko repeated these words trying to help Izuku say his first word, but all that came out were babbles and giggles.

"Come on Izuku I want to brag to Papa that your first word was me," Inko jokingly said.

You see sometimes Inko and Hisashi compete over who taught Izuku anything. Inko helped Izuku learn how to eat all by himself, Hisashi taught him how to crawl, Inko taught him how to stand, Hisashi taught him how to walk. After teaching Izuku how to walk Hisashi would always brag to their friends and to Inko.

She kept saying the mantra but Izuku wasn't listening, he was distracted by All Might using basic math to defeat the villain. After sending the villain away and the cartoon was nearing the end, Cartoon Might turned to the camera and said the same thing he always said before the show ended, "And Remember Kids, If You Do What Is Right And Work Hard, Then You Can Become A HERO!" and after he said those words the screen switched to commercials.

"-Say, Mama. Say, Mama. Say,-"

"Hero."

"What was that Izuku?" Inko said in disbelief.

"Hero."

"Oh my gosh, Izuku you said your first words," Inko said with pure joy, "I'm so proud of you. Wait till Papa hears this."

Izuku didn't understand what was going on but he saw that his Mama was happy and that he was able to put a smile on her face.

(2 years later)

It's been two weeks since his birthday and after watching his favorite All Might video for the 384th time, he was beginning to worry. After every kid's 4th birthday their quirk would manifest, the only exception being mutant-type quirks that manifest when they're born. So why hasn't his quirk manifest yet?

He decided that he would ask his father because he always knew the answer.

So with that thought, he went to the living room to ask him.

Hisashi Midoriya was sitting on the couch in the living room watching tv enjoying one of his days off from work. People say that he and his son look-alike same curly hair and almost identical faces, the only differences were his brown eyes, black hair, and the lack of freckles on his face.

When his son entered the room with a worried look on his face Hisashi turned off the tv, got up, and asked Izuku what was bothering him.

"Hey, buddy. Everything ok?" Hisashi asked

"Daddy, Why don't I have a quirk yet?" Izuku questioned

"What are you talking about," Hisashi began "You already have a quirk."

"I do?" Izuku said perking up a little.

"Yeah," Hisashi said wrapping his hands around Izuku's body, "And you know what it is."

"No, what is it?" Izuku said excitedly.

"It's called flight."

After Hisashi finished saying that he picked Izuku up and "flew," Izuku around the house. The sound of childish laughter filled the whole apartment for a half-hour.

Hisashi put Izuku down and said, "Either you're getting too big to do this, or I'm getting old."

After stretching out his back and looked down at Izuku and said, "Now don't worry about not having a quirk right now. Maybe you're just a late bloomer."

"Do you really think so?" said Izuku with as much optimism as a 4-year-old could have.

"I know so," Hisashi said before continuing, "I bet it will be a cool combination of your mom's light telekinesis and my fire breath."

"Do you think I'll able to still be a hero without a quirk?" questioned Izuku.

"You don't have to worry about that because you will get a quirk," Hisashi said with determination.

After saying those words he sent Izuku back to his room and returned to the couch for a nap.

"Sorry kid it just ain't happening." Said the doctor.

And with those words, the world around Izuku shattered.

"I don't understand, doctor. How can Izuku be quirkless?" Questioned Inko who was trying to comfort her son.

Taking out an x-ray of Izuku's foot, the doctor attached it to the light he pointed to the pinky toe. "If you look here Izuku has two joints in his pinky toe. Whereas," he pulls out another x-ray of a foot and attached it to the light, "someone with a quirk only has one joint in the pinky toe."

"This has to be a mistake, everyone in my family and my husband's family has a quirk. So how is it that my son doesn't.", Inko demanded.

"Listen ma'am I don't know what to tell you. We did multiple x-rays and tests and all signs point to your son being quirkless." The doctor said, trying to calm down the sulky mother.

"Is there any chance that he might have a quirk?" Inko desperately asked.

"Well, there is a chance, but it's pretty low. I wouldn't put much faith in him miraculously getting a one." The doctor said answering Inko.

When they got home Izuku raced to his room then slammed the door. Inko couldn't blame him after hearing such horrible news.

Hisashi is still at work which gives her time on how she'll break the news to him. She's a little worried about how he'll take the news but she has faith that everything will be alright. But right now she can't think about how her husband will react because her baby is hurting and she needs to cheer him up.

She had the bright idea of making katsudon to cheer him up. Ever since the first time he had the dish it always brought him comfort and joy.

So with her plan set, she got ready to put it into motion.

She was halfway through making the dish when she heard the sound of a video that she heard over a hundred times. After hearing it she set down her utensils and rushed to the computer room.

When Inko reached the computer room what she saw broke her heart. Sitting in front of the computer screen with tears in his eyes was her son Izuku.

"He's so cool," she heard him say before turning to her. "Do… Do you think I can be a hero too?"

At that moment Inko's heart completely shattered as she broke down crying. She didn't know what to do at that moment. The only thing she could think of was to hug her son while they cried together.

And that's what she did.

"I'm sorry Izuku. I'm so sorry." Inko said with tears streaming down her face.

But what she didn't realize was that those weren't the words that he wanted to hear.
