Chapter 12- What I Pray and I'm Hoping

"Light and darkness co-exist. Two sides of the same coin. You can't just get rid of one side."

"What if we could, though?"

Vanitas was sick and tired of light screwing him up. When was a normal-ish life with the opportunity to gain needed strength again going to be on the cards? Soon, since light gave him one more blasted chance.

Sora broke so many laws of nature to bring his friends back together. As such, he was shoved into a different world with no way to get back home. Friends out of reach, but new ones in grasping reach. And by Kingdom Hearts he was going to help out a familiar face.

UA seemed like the perfect cover for them, solving all their problems. Until it didn't.

After all, light hates darkness, and darkness hates light. Destiny was inevitable.

The next few days passed in a blur for Sora. The teachers had not said anything more to Sora about enrolment, so he presumed he had done everything he needed to do. Sora would have not had a chance to anyway, as they were very busy sorting out everything for the Summer Camp. Since Midoriya had been targeted at the mall, the location was kept a secret to prevent any villain attacks, and there was only a limited staff to not draw attention to it. Sora understood this concept but had to wonder. Surely more staff would mean if a villain attack did happen, they could combat it easier?

Nezu did have another meeting with Sora, mostly just chatting to him and finding out more about him. Sora did not mind that much, but he had to avoid a few questions like where his home was. World Order and all that. But overall, Nezu was very fun to get along with. A little smart, and a little chaotic too, but fun. Nezu and Aizawa both agreed that Sora had not shown his 'quirk' off enough, and might be lacking practically, and so wanted Sora to go to the Summer Camp with the rest of the Hero Course to learn first-hand.

"It would also be good for you to spend more time with your future classmates! After all, humans need lots of strong connections with one another to succeed!" Nezu had said at the time.

It was something that resonated deeply within Sora. After all, his friends helped him time and time again. Including during the War. He gave up because everyone except for Riku had d- went away for a bit. His friends were his power, and it was proven time and time again.

He wanted to go to the camp, it sounded so fun! But he had a crawling feeling on his neck every time he thought about it. He had a bad feeling that something was going to happen. But he followed his heart anyway. It had not proven him wrong yet, and anyway, if something bad did happen, he was there to help out.

Sora mostly roamed the corridors of UA and its grounds in that time, gradually getting used to the layout and features. He kept on getting reminded of how large this world truly was, the UA building just an example. He had known worlds the size of UA, never mind the rest of the city. Sora at least could fill in his time as he tried to get back home.

Sora really missed the islands.

The only other thing that happened during that time was Aizawa at some point got more essential items, and some more clothes so he could wear more than two outfits. They were just a handful of t-shirts and one or two bottoms, but Sora was still immensely grateful, nonetheless.

And with that, the day came to go to UA's Summer Camp. Sora woke up wearily and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He looked over to the small alarm clock that was already in the room when he arrived to see it was eight in the morning. He switched the blearing noise off with a touch of a button.

"I hate early mornings…" Sora groaned as he put on a plain red t-shirt and three-quarter length black shorts.

He looked over to the far corner of his room to see a black suitcase with small red details ready to be taken on the trip. Aizawa had handed him the suitcase the night before and forced Sora to pack all the stuff he needed for the camp. He even watched too. Sora complained the night previous, but he was glad that Aizawa made him do it. Sora was barely functioning that morning and it would be a disaster if he tried to pack.

As Sora continued his morning routine, he got more and more excited for the trip. He's already made a few friends and he was going to see everyone put in their all-in person! He could also start to regain his powers, a habit now for him. It was frustrating, but he just needs to put his all into it! And then he can start to work towards getting back home and helping Vanitas out.

I can't wait!

Sora lifted up the suitcase up with ease and skipped out of his room. He sung to himself, a tune that always wriggled into his head.

Colours weave into a spire of flame
Distant sparks call to a past still unnamed
Bear this torch against the cold of the night
Search your soul and reawaken the undying light

On that day, when the sky fell away
Our world came to an end

In our eyes did a fading sun rise
In the dark, glimmering shadows
Silence grows, in the spaces between
Stretching out beyond time
Rising up, as a chorus of souls finds a voice
Flickering through the void
These little sparks cling on to life
Everyone caught in the struggle
And then the storms of change, they fan the flames
Scattering ashes to the wind

"Hey little listener, looking forward to the camp?" Present Mic asked, coming from the opposite direction.

"Yep! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again." Sora shifted his suitcase to his other hand.

"Well, make sure you work hard too. You've got plenty of potential, so you should use it!"

"Thanks! I better get going to the bus. Don't wanna be late." Sora walked away, waving.

"Okie dokie!" Mic did a thumbs up before also continuing his way.

Every soul contains a whisper of light
Gleaming faintly as it dwindles from sight
No escape, no greater fate to be made
In the end, the chains of time will not break

Colours weave into a spire of flame
Distant sparks call to a past still unnamed
Bear this torch against the cold of the night
Search your soul and reawaken the undying light

As fate spins a thread without end
New life draws its first breath

Blossoming in a soil reclaimed from the past
Where destiny holds fast
Here where we stand, hand clenched in hand
Everyone caught in the struggle
This is the day we finally find our way
Stepping into our tomorrow

Every soul contains a whisper of light
Growing louder as it calls to unite
From the distance sings a chorus of souls
Rising slowly, stirring heat from the coals

Colours weave into a spire of flame
Distant sparks call to a past still unnamed
Bear this torch against the cold of the night
Light will guide you on your way to the ultimate fight

Sora yawned as he reached the bus area. All of Class 1A was already there, in small groups. He jogged over to everyone, while Aizawa finished the mandatory talk of everyone being on their best behaviour.

"Sora!" Midoriya and Uraraka were the first to spot Sora and Uraraka was quick to hug Sora.

"G'morning!" Sora said cheerfully.

"Sobro, nice to see you." Kirishima joined.

"Hi."

"It is wonderful to see Sora again, but why is Sora here? This is only delaying us getting to the camp and we are losing out on valuable time to improve!" Iida robot armed.

"Since Sora is going to be joining the hero course soon, it was the logical choice to let him come along. It will also let him make more friends, other than the teachers. Although," Aizawa sighed tiredly, "I don't think that's going to be a problem."

"He sure is friendly." Vlad King agreed, walking into frame with twenty students trailing behind him.

"What? Some Class A kids are getting extra lessons? That means some of you failed?!" A blonde kid began to rant. "Huhh? How weird is that?! EVERYONE KNOWS CLASS A IS TOTALLY SUPERIOR TO CLASS B, BUT NOW THIS?! WOW!"

An orange haired girl with a high ponytail karate chopped the blonde kid's neck, knocking him out easily. "Sorry."

"You're scary, Monoma." Another student commented.

"Hi Vlad! Is this Class 1B then?" Sora tilted his head.

"Yep. And my students will work harder than Class A to beat them!" Vlad passionately said.

"Someone's competitive this morning." Aizawa muttered.

"Class A's bus is this way. Please line up in order!" Iida interrupted the banter, and people began to filter on their own buses.

"Uh, Vlad? Aizawa? What bus do I go on?" Sora frowned.

"You'll head with me, kid," Aizawa muttered. "You're most used to Class A after all. On the way back you'll head with Class B."

"Ok!" Sora headed into the bus with a leap in his step.

Time passed by, and it was entertaining to say the least. Everyone was very loud, but it was fun. Entertaining. For Sora, he was still getting used to seeing so many people his age in one place, but he enjoyed himself. He sat beside Kirishima and Kaminari near the front, who were very lively during the entire journey. They had some idle chatter, while others on the bus played I-Spy or ate food.

"Let's have some music! Something summery! Some tube songs, maybe!" Kaminari perked up.

"No way. Nothing beats Carol's End of Summer in the summertime!" Ashido argued on the opposite side of the bus.

"But it's not the end of summer," Kirishima pointed out. "But tube songs are never really that good either. We need something manly to get us pumped up!"

"How about if we see what Sora wants? We kinda keep forgetting he's around." An invisible girl called Hagakure joined in excitedly.

"That's a good idea! What do you say Sora?" Kaminari pointed to an amazed Sora looking out the window.

"Huh? Were you talking to me?" Sora spun around, blinking.

"Are you ok bro? You seemed kinda out of it." Kirishima frowned.

"Oh, yeah! Just was enjoying the view."

"This must be pretty different for you, huh?" Ashido noted.

"Mhm! But I love seeing new places. Sure, the islands are home and nice, but there's just so many things to see and experience. And I can help out more people too." Sora smiled.

"I never thought about it like that." Kirishima pondered.

"I bet it would be super helpful for hero work to know about all different places and how things work!" Hagakure leaned towards the three boys.

"That's super cool and all, but we're getting side-tracked from what's important. What music should we put on?!" Kaminari interrupted.

Just a little bit ahead, Aizawa saw the interaction from the corner of his eye. He sighed outwardly at all the rackus, but inside he was… amused, a little, at the antics. It put his mind at rest that Sora was blending with his problem children well, at least. The conversation with Sora moved onto song choices again, but as Iida tried to get people to sit on the chairs properly in the background noise (a worthless effort), Aizawa noticed subtly that Sora's shoulders relaxed a touch.

Something's going on with him. He's going to be a problem child. Aizawa sighed again. Oh well, I guess this is their only chance to have some last-minute fun…

The bus stopped an hour later at a scenic spot for the students to stretch. Apart from Mineta badly needing to go to the toilet, the class were sleepy. As people began to filter out of the bus and stretch, they looked around too.

Sora got off the bus with stars in his eyes as he saw the hills in front of him. He ran right to the edge of the fence and tried to absorb the entire view. The hills themselves were in gradual slopes, rocky but still pretty. There was a large forest in front of the hills, but since they were high up, all Sora could see was the green tops, creating a grassy blanket. If he had to compare it to anything, it was like a mix between Deep Jungle and Pride Lands. Talking of Deep Jungle, once he has gotten home, he should really visit Tarzan again…

"Hold on…what kind of rest stop is this?" A tape boy said confused.

"Right? And where's Class B?" Jiro added.

"Pee…gotta pee…" Mineta muttered, desperately trying to find a toilet.

"We stopped here for a reason." Aizawa deadpanned.

"B-b-b-bathroom…"

"Heya Eraser! Sorry I haven't seen you in a while." An unknown voice made Sora spin around from sightseeing.

"Rock on with these sparkling gazes!" A different voice announced.

"Stingingly cute and catlike!"

"We're the wild, wild… Pussycats!" The two people posed in cat like positions. One was blonde, and the other had dark brown hair. Each had puffy skirts on and tight tops, leaving a little belly to be seen.

"These are the pro heroes who'll be helping us out this time-" Aizawa explained.

"-The Pussycats! They're a four-member hero team who all work under a single agency!" Midoriya began to nerd out. "This veteran team specializes in mountain rescue operations! They've been in business for twelve years now-"

"We're eighteen at heart!" The blonde one covered Midoriya's mouth.

The dark-haired one continued as Midoriya struggled. "This whole area here is our territory. Your lodging," She pointed to a place very far away, "Is at the foot of that mountain there."

"What?"

"Huh…? Then why'd we stop halfway…?" Uraraka asked concerned, hands clutching each other.

"Uh oh…"

"Let's…get back….to the bus? Hurry…" The tape boy started to nervously walk back to the bus.

"It's now 9:30 AM. I'm thinking…around noon, at the earliest." The Pussycat continued.

The penny dropped for Sora, as well as a few other classmates. Sora was not worried about it as much as the others though. He was used to walking a lot anyway. What he was worried about, was the reactions of the students.

"Run!"

"Aw crud, no way…"

"Back to the bus, quick!"

"Kitties who don't make it there by 12:30 won't get any lunch." The woman shouted to the running students.

"Sorry kids. The training's already begun." Aizawa said.

The blonde Pussycat slammed her hands to the ground and activated her quirk. The rocks beneath everyone began to move and force the students over the cliff edge, down into the deep forest. Sora was in the air first, but he handled it the best. He flipped his body around to control his descent, while he saw in the corner of his eye the others panicking. He was about to help them when the Pussycat continued talking.

"This is our private territory, so feel free to use your quirks! You've got three hours to reach the facility on foot! Make it through the Beast's Forest!"

Sora rolled onto the ground and immediately started to help some of the other students up. "Are you ok?" He asked to Ashido.

"Yeah. This is stupid!" She complained.

Midoriya was spitting out dirt while panicking. "The Beast's Forest…?!"

"Seriously? It's like a name straight outta Dragon Quest…" Kaminari dusted himself off.

"We better start moving, ribbit." Asui pointed out.

"You're lucky, your quirk meant you didn't land badly!" Ashido pouted.

"Well, ribbit, that is true. But Sora did fine landing too. It's more something you learn, not because of a quirk."

Several people looked shocked and spun around to see Sora nearly entirely unharmed, but before they could comment, Mineta ran straight ahead with his hands in between his legs.

"I've held it… I've held it long enough."

But Mineta did not have to worry, as he was soon relieved by the presence of a terrifying monster baring its teeth at the deserving midget.

"AN ACTUAL BEAST?!" The more extroverted students shouted.

"Calm yourself, creature, please, back down." Koda shakily talked to the creature.

The monster did not back down, and Sora began to prepare to take down the monster using one of his spells.

Is it a heartless? It's a large one if it is. But I don't see an emblem or any of the usual signs. Even if this isn't one, I need to stop it before it hurts them!

Sora wandered over to the awake computer. It seemed to be on some sort of finding thingy, what did Leon call it again? A 'search bar'? That sounded about right. His curiosity got the better of Sora, and he carefully typed out 'keyblades' with one hand. He did not want to damage the computer or break it, he had only experience with two, and one was Tron's world. The first time Sora entered Tron's world, a lot of things wanted to kill him.

Hopefully this computer is nice to me.

Sora hit a large button which said 'enter', and immediately several results came up. Sora did a fist bump into the air before falling into a problem. The results cut off, with text which said, 'Click to see more'. But what was a click?

"Uhh… do I just hit the screen like a gummiphone?" Sora tried it, and it worked.

A ream of information passed Sora's eyes, not good information either. Sora's mouth was agape, and his eyebrows were furrowed.

"No, no. This can't be right. Only he did such- there were others? How badly… what?"

On the screen showed a picture of a boy dressed similarly to how Aqua or Ven dressed, with an armoured belt with the heart logo. He wore a blue fluffy coat and casual black clothes. His hair was windswept to the side, a warm brown colour that was wavy. But his face… It was sly and calculating. And it showed him threatening civilians with a keyblade. Sora tilted his head and focused on the keyblade. It looked similar to one of his own keyblades he was able to wield. Star Seeker. Unfortunately, he had lost those keychains.

The article said that an unknown figure threatened several innocents several years ago. He even killed a few. He was known to be a 'villain' and people at the time was advised to avoid him if spotted and to call for a hero.

His weapon was classed as evil.

"You have violated this principle. The key bearer shatters peace and brings ruin." That was what King Triton said about the keyblade and Sora when he had first visited Atlantica. He refused it, but…

The keyblade here was considered evil.

I'll only use the keyblade if it comes to it, Sora resolved, I can use my magic in the meantime.

Just as Sora was about to attack, Midoriya and Iida did a joint attack to the monster, smashing it to large chunks of dirt. People began to move ahead, as more monsters arrived onto the field. Sora looked up, and saw no heart come out of the monster. He was instantly relieved and relaxed a little, a grin on his face.

This'll be a good test to properly see how much of my powers I have lost.

Class 1A and Sora came out of the forest, all beaten up, tired, hungry and at their limits. As the class was breathing heavily, Sora felt he could barely keep on walking. The long walk did not help, but Sora did not mind that part as much. He had never relied so much on his magic and using spells so often and repeatedly waiting for his magical energy to restore meant it drained him of a lot of his energy, even if the spells he could only do were tier one. It was going to be a lot tougher than he thought it would be without a keyblade.

"You're finally here. You didn't make it in time for lunch though." The blonde Pussycat remarked.

'"It'll only take three hours' yeah, right…" Tape boy (Sora remembered his name now as Sero) groaned.

"So hungry. Gonna die." Kirishima said shortly.

"Sorry. That's how quick we would've made it." The dark haired woman apologised.

"Flaunting the power gap in our faces…?" "That's cruel." Some of the students muttered.

"Mew mew mew," The blonde one responded playfully, "We actually thought it'd take you longer. And you dealt with my Earth Beast pretty easily too. Not bad. Especially," Her tone grew more serious as she looked at Bakugo, Todoroki, Midoriya, and Iida. "I'm guessing your past experiences allowed you to act without hesitation?"

The four kids did not respond, but the Pussycat continued anyway. "You're the new kid, right? You did great for the first time."

"Thanks!" Sora answered a little bit flustered. He was not used to compliments. And it was not his first rodeo. He kept those things to himself though.

"I'm gonna have fun three years from now! I'm marking them as mine!" The woman pounced on them.

"Hey, Mandalay… I didn't know she was like that." Aizawa asked the dark haired woman quietly.

"She's worried about being a spinster forever…" Mandalay quietly responded.

The blonde one started to fuss over Midoriya next, but as she did so, Midoriya noticed someone in the corner with an annoyed expression.

"Hey, I've been wondering, that boy. Whose child is he?"

Mandalay dragged her teammate off Midoriya as she answered. "Oh, he's actually my nephew. Kota! Come over and say hello. You'll be spending a week with these guys after all."

Sora frowned slightly at Kota's expression. He began to walk towards Kota, but Midoriya started conversing first.

"Hi. I'm Midoriya, from UA High School's Hero Course. Nice to meetcha." He put out his hand.

Kota punched Midoriya in the area that hurts a lot if someone punched there. He shuffled quickly away.

"Midoriya! Hey, why'd you punch Midoriya in the scrotum?!" Iida was quick to react.

Kota just glared at Iida. "I can't abide jerks who wanna be heroes."

The rest of the class reacted and had conversations with themselves, but Sora jogged after Kota. He had seen that look before, and it had never ended up good. Riku had the same expression a few times when he had begun to sink into the darkness. Sora tried to help Riku then, but he did not know at the time why Riku felt the way he did. And Riku, because of his jealousy of Sora, fell deeper into the darkness. It took a long time for Riku to even feel like he deserved forgiveness, and even at times not feeling worthy of his keyblade. But Riku walked his own path and came out stronger. Sora had helped him then. It was not, however, a path that Sora wished on anybody.

Kota could very well head down that path. But Sora could help Kota more than he did with Riku. Sora had failed back then to support his friend, failed to notice all the signs, but he could help now.

"Hey, wait up!" Sora shouted to Kota.

Kota stopped on top of a circular cliff area that overlooked the beautiful surroundings. It felt private, too, with the wall shielding the camp area partly. He turned with his hands in his pockets. "What do you want hero?"

Sora was a little taken aback at the sharpness of the tone, but he continued. "I just wanted to talk to you and maybe become friends. This is a nice spot."

"Hmrgh, this is my secret spot! No one's allowed to come here!"

"Well, if there isn't a monster here, then we should let the new girl come in here too!"

"Hmm, well she'll have to prove herself. We did find the Secret Place first."

"Of course!"

"Mister, are you ok?" Kota still said in an annoyed tone.

"Y-yeah," Sora sniffled slightly before furiously wiping away the threatening tears. "I'm ok. Just something you said reminded me of something."

"Huh?"

Sora sat crosslegged, head leaning against the wall. He closed his eyes, trying to organise his thoughts. "Back home, I had a secret place too. Only two other people knew of it, my best friends. We spent a lot of time there, hidden from everybody, carving on the walls different pictures."

"…Then why are you sad?" Kota had gradually sat down beside Sora.

"Well, I, I haven't seen them in a while."

"Then go see 'em. Some people miss people but can't." Kota said hotly, but in his eyes Sora could see hidden sadness and loss.

"…I know what that's like. I guess you do too," Sora looked down at his hands before glancing up at Kota again, who was shocked. "Do you want to know a secret? You have to promise to tell no one, not even your Aunt."

"Y-yeah. I promise."

"Well," Sora puffed his cheeks and blew the air out, "I'm already a hero. No one knows though. It's just the way it is, which is annoying. But I became a hero because I had lost my friends and I wanted to find them again. It took a while, and if I found one, I lost the other. But, eventually, I found them and we spent time together. I wouldn't have found them if I didn't become a hero, I think. I followed my heart, and it led me here. It led me to my friends, and it led me to you."

"But how much hero work did you really do? I bet you just gained attention like all the others." Kota folded his arms and looked away.

"You'd be surprised," Sora chuckled. "But, really, being a hero has its ups and downs like everything."

"Whatever."

Sora sat quietly for a minute, having nothing else to say. He hoped he had changed Kota's mind a little bit, but he could not tell. He would have to wait and see.

Sora was about to talk about more casual things, before his gummiphone rang. He picked up after a few of the cheery rings.

"Hiya."

"You better be here soon with Kota if you want dinner." Aizawa stated before hanging up.

"…Oookay. Kota, we should get some dinner." Sora turned to find Kota, only to see he had already left.

"I'm on my own then. Fun." Sora said to himself.

He headed back to the camp, and after a little searching, he found the hall where the food was being served. Most of the food had already been eaten, but Sora managed to get himself a portion from the mix of leftovers. He quickly scoffed it down as he saw people gradually filter out of the room. He finished just as Midoriya was leaving the room and ran up to catch up with him.

"Hey, where are we heading now?"

"Oh, Sora. We're heading to the Hot Springs to bathe. D-don't worry, I dropped off your stuff into your room." Midoriya stuttered, slightly embarrassed at the prospect of bathing together.

"Thanks..." Sora smiled, but his smile did not reach his eyes fully.

"Are you ok?" Midoriya stopped in the corridor. There was no one about.

"It's nothing, it's silly." Sora waved away his concern.

"You sure?"

"Yeah. I'm sure the others will react fine." Sora started to walk forward, putting on his sunny persona again.

It was then it hit Midoriya. "Oh! Ohhh. I could, u-um, distract people until you get in or something? Would that help?"

Sora thought it over. "Are you sure?"

"Yep! You don't want to explain it now, and that's your choice. I just wanna help." Midoriya smiled confidently.

"I would like that, thanks."

The two boys were the last ones in the changing room. Sora got unchanged quickly, and Midoriya did likewise. As Sora was putting away his stuff, Midoriya accidentally turned around too early and saw some of the scars he was trying to not see out of respect. But a question burned on his tongue.

"Um, Sora? Can I ask a question about, um, them?"

"Them? Oh. Uh, ok?"

"How did you get the one on your chest?" Midoriya asked nervously.

"Ah," Sora paused. "It was during the villain attack. How do I explain this? Because of someone, and powers and stuff, my best friend's… spirit as such was in my body. There was a weapon or the like that was due to a quirk which would reverse this. I had to separate her hea-spirit from me, so I stabbed myself with the weapon. It didn't hurt too much and it worked. Pretty soon after, we met up again-in person this time. Anyway, we should probably get to the spring." Sora walked out.

Midoriya stayed behind for a minute though, processing the info. He said it so casually… Sora…

"You coming?" Sora shouted.

"Y-yeah!" Midoriya shouted back as he jogged out of the changing rooms.

"Ah, so nice…"

"I needed this!"

The boys were enjoying the Hot Springs when Sora and Midoriya arrived. Some boys were splashing in the water, while others sat on the edge, taking their time and relaxing. The girls seemed to be having fun too, from the sounds over the tall wall.

"I wonder where Midoriya and Sora are?" Kirishima started a conversation.

"Midoriya was the last one to finish eating, so he may have bumped into Sora. Mr Aizawa did say he called Sora." Iida suggested.

"Are you sure about this? You really don't have to do this…" Sora quietly spoke to Midoriya behind a tree, who was very flustered.

"M-my mind is made up, for the last time! Don't worry," Midoriya flashed a smile before walking forward towards the group. "O-oh hey guys. Sorry for being so l-late."

"Speak of the devil and he shalt appear." Tokoyami said broodily.

"No problem Midoriya!" Kirishima answered.

Sora took the opportunity, and quietly slipped into the water, leaving his towel on the side bank. Thankfully, no one noticed him as he moved to the deepest water.

"Did you see Sora by any chance?" Iida asked Midoriya.

"Mhm." Sora answered for him, scaring everybody.

"Sora!"

"Man, you are sneaky. I didn't notice you even arriving!" Kaminari voiced everyone's thoughts.

After that, Sora had a great time relaxing. He got to know some of the boys he had not chatted with as much better as he soaked up the warm water. He hardly got the chance to wash himself while adventuring, but he welcomed the cleanliness.

The only notable thing that happened for the rest of the day was Mineta, being Mineta, and nearly succeeding in peeking at the girls next door. Thankfully, Kota was on guard and Mineta fell, but Kota fell too. Midoriya saved Kota and took him to the Pussycats, while Mineta was scolded by his behaviour.

Sora ran to catch Kota too, acting flowmotion, but was farther than Midoriya was. He wanted to go with Kota too, but Iida stopped him. It was only then Sora remembered his scars. He sunk deeper into the water, but his expression was filled with regret.

I don't think I can lie about them… I'm being selfish.

It's ok, Sora. Kota will be ok…

Vanitas strolled along the rooftops to entertain himself. For a few days now, he was left to his own devices, his colleague having no need for him yet. Instead, Shigaraki was planning and getting used to the new members' powers. Several had joined the League in recent days, all inspired by a person named 'Stain' or whatever. Shigaraki had inquired about Vanitas' power too, but he gave nothing away. He was keeping his cards close to his chest.

He spent his free days training in the same abandoned warehouse, doing the drills that the old man beat into him. Left, right, slice down, and magic. He trained until he bled out black gloop, and then begun with his unversed. He had made a great deal of progress on that front, but he could only still summon a meagre fifteen floods or three tougher variants before he became too hollow. Only fifteen! If the old man saw him now, he would deserve five beatings, even more, for being so dusking weak.

But that early morning, Kurogiri had approached him, saying that Shigaraki needed his assistance then. And it gave Seeker the joyful chills anticipating what was going to happen next.

"Seeker, it is time."

"I know." Seeker turned around and calmly walked into the portal Kurogiri had barely created.

You will pay Sora. You WILL pay.

Xerayn's Notes 12: Next chapter is chapter 13. I bet nothing bad will happen! Hehe

This chapter was going to cover a lot more, but this is 5500 words and I was getting tired of writing. Chapters refresh me in a way. I'm considering making a discord of this fic, but I dunno. If people would want one, please let me know!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter! I won't be writing another as long as this!
