Author's note: It looks like Echo won with a total of 6 votes and Workshop came in second with 2 votes. Surprised that Microscope didn't get any votes considering Mei's quirk and all but what are you going to do.

Also, we are one review away from 69 reviews, if you are the 69th review you know what you have to do! Don't disappoint!

Izuku woke up later than usual. Miss Azumi said that she'll handle his morning routine while he sleeps because she would need him for something else. This brought him to the problem that would be facing him when he leaves his room.

When he saw Hayami being dropped off at his orphanage he didn't have to worry about her revealing his secret identity because she only knows Jack Rabbit, not Izuku Midoriya. What worried him was when he saw her she looked heartbroken and he knew he was the cause of that. Someone who you trust would just push you aside in your biggest moment of need, anyone would've been heartbroken by that, especially at her age and what she went through. He wishes he could go back and do it differently, but he panicked and it was the only thing he could think of if he wanted to escape.

When he asked Miss Azumi what happened she wouldn't tell him. Maybe she didn't know what happened, she didn't want to tell him, or it's because Hayami was with them when he asked, but it didn't matter, he knew what happened. It still sickened him when he thought about what those adults were doing to those kids and how they were betting on it. Part of him wishes that he had more time to teach them all a lesson but another part of him was glad that he didn't because he was a little scared about what he would do to them.

Izuku shook his head, he couldn't spend time dwelling on the past, right now he had to worry about what was in front of him. Miss Azumi had already cleared out the orphanage, it helped that it was a school day, only leaving him, her, and Hayami. She didn't want to overwhelm the little girl with a bunch of kids running around and two other caretakers who wouldn't do their jobs extremely well.

It's not the first time that Miss Azumi asked him for help when a new kid shows up at their orphanage, but it's the first time she had him skip school. He can't pretend that it wasn't serious, he knows that, he saw what happened. All he hopes for is that he can help her and make her happy again. Jack Rabbit managed to save her from her living hell, now it's up to Izuku Midoriya to put back the pieces that were broken.

He met up with Miss Azumi in the kitchen, and like every morning she was making breakfast, pancakes to be exact. She left him a note with one simple task: wake up Hayami. It was simple on paper, but he didn't know how it would play out. Sure, he managed to touch her as Jack Rabbit, but he was able to gain her trust because he saved her from those two adults. How can she trust someone she just met after going through a traumatic experience?

He didn't know, but he had to try.

Izuku walked to the girls' room and on the way there he heard something that made him worry. It was the sound of rustling sheets. It's a noise that he was used to hearing every morning that lets him know that the kids were getting out of bed, but this was different. The sheets sounded more panicky like someone was moving around a lot in their bed.

Izuku quickened his pace and reached the room in no time. He was about to enter the room when he heard a faint voice through the door.

"No! No! Get away from me!"

Not needing to hear anymore, Izuku barged into the room, finding it empty of all life with the exception of him and Hayami. He should've known that no one broke into the orphanage, but he was still worried because Hayami was tossing and turning in her bed. Izuku walked up next to her and lightly shook her shoulders to wake her up.

"Hey, wake up! You're having a nightmare," Izuku said softly. Hayami's eyes shot wide open and sat straight up. She was breathing heavily and shaking profusely. Whatever she was dreaming about scared her really badly.

"Don't worry, you're okay," Izuku said, trying to soothe her. He tried to place his hand on her shoulder but she started to shake even more.

"Don't touch me!" She cried and Izuku flinched. He should've known that she would've reacted like that, she did the first time. He hated that he couldn't comfort her, but these were the first steps of her trusting him.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I just came up to get you for breakfast. I bet you're hungry," Izuku told her. He heard her stomach growl and he chuckled a little. "Follow me, I'll lead you to the kitchen."

Hayami looked apprehensive at first but her hunger got the best of her. She slowly got out of bed and Izuku noticed that she still had on the pin he gave her a couple of nights ago. He'll have to talk to Mei about it later. He didn't want any videos of him without his costume on to be sent to the police by accident.

Just as Izuku promised he led Hayami to the kitchen, and as Izuku expected, Miss Azumi had a plate full of pancakes ready. She gave them a warm smile and handed Hayami her breakfast.

"Here you go honey, a plate of warm blueberry pancakes," Miss Azumi said and pointed towards the dining room table. "Why don't you go sit down and I'll have Izuku bring out your drink."

Izuku watched her sit down at the table. She stared and picked at her breakfast as if it was foreign to her. She then took her first bite which warmed Izuku's heart as he watched her devour her breakfast. He soon turned back to Miss Azumi to pay attention to more pressing matters, what does she know about Hayami.

"So, what happened? Why is she here?" Izuku asked bluntly which startled Miss Azumi a little. He already knew what happened, but he wanted to know if she knew what happened and how much the police told her.

"The police didn't go into too much detail on what happened. Only telling me that something serious happened and that she'll be staying in our care," she answered, causing Izuku to sigh in relief. He didn't know why he was worried, he didn't think the police saw him and it's not like they'll tell Miss Azumi about some vigilante they saw. But he was glad that Miss Azumi didn't know too much about what happened because it gave him a basis of what he can and cannot say.

"What's the plan for today then?" Izuku asked.

"We're gonna go shopping. The police said that they were gonna send us her clothes today but I thought it would be a good idea to get her some new clothes as well, like a fresh start," Miss Azumi told him. She poured a glass of chocolate milk and handed it to Izuku. She then ushered him out of the kitchen and towards Hayami. "We'll leave after Hayami's done with her breakfast and when I'm done cleaning everything up."

Izuku placed the glass in front of Hayami and she graciously took it. Izuku saw that she already finished half of her breakfast and Izuku smiled when he saw that she was a lot happier than she was this morning.

Naomasa groaned as he looked at his computer. Eight years have passed and there are still no leads on the whereabouts of Hisashi Midoriya, it's like he vanished off the face of the earth. Most people would presume him dead after all these years, but not Naomasa. Something didn't sit right with him about how Hisashi Midoriya disappeared.

Only a video of him leaving his home and nothing else. Naomasa knew that Hisashi had help, he checked the traffic cameras a hundred times, even had forensics and a few computer experts look over the footage and they all told him that the cameras weren't tampered with. They can't even find his car for heaven's sake. The only solace that he had in this whole situation is that Hisashi isn't going after his son Izuku.

Time and time again they find cases where a parent tries to kill their child after killing their spouse. It's a horrible thing and even after they place the child into the care of a relative or an orphanage the parent still tries to kill them, some even succeeding. It's a horrible thing and he hopes he doesn't have to get a case like that ever again.

Speaking of orphanages, Naomasa thought back to what happened last night. They get a call about a masked man breaking into a house and when they arrived there was no masked man, but a bunch of adults trapped in foam and a lot of crying kids trapped in a cage, some were even hurt and were in need of medical attention. It was a horrible sight to walk in on.

They brought the adults into custody while they decided on what they should do with the children. Some of the kids had relatives that were willing to take them in while the rest were left without a home for the time being. They decided it would be for the best to separate them into different orphanages, only keeping the siblings together, so as to not bring up any bad memories. He knew it was for the best.

But thinking back on the masked man, how did he know what was going on in the house? Not only that, it's not the first time a bunch of people were trapped in foam and witnesses spotted a masked man at the scene. They had a new vigilante out on the streets and Naomasa groaned. He knew that they meant well at heart, but they also caused major problems by messing up crime scenes, death to both the attacker and the victim, and giving him a massive headache. Though, he was grateful for the masked man's help in uncovering last night's crime.

"Human trafficking? Maybe, but all of those kids had bruises and some of their injuries were fresh," Naomasa started to brainstorm about what they were dealing with. It wasn't uncommon for human trafficking victims to have bruises or scars, but to have injuries so fresh didn't make sense. And the types of injuries that some of those kids had confused him too.

One kid had a broken jaw and a few broken teeth, another had their eye swollen shut and some bruised ribs, but one kid's injury confused him the most. The other two had injuries directed around the face while this kid had an injury close to the face but it wasn't like the others. They had a ruptured esophagus with markings around the neck that showed signs that it was caused by a quirk.

Naomasa looked back towards his computer and saw that he had a new email. He didn't recognize the account so he assumed that it was spam. He tried to delete it, but his computer wouldn't let him. He started spam clicking the trash icon and even restarted his computer, but the email was still there.

Deciding that he had no other options left, Naomasa chose to bite the bullet and click on the email.

"Might as well see how good my antivirus software is," Naomasa said to himself and he read over the email. "You might want to check this out. Signed, Echo!"

Naomasa clicked on the video that was attached to the email. It started off with the POV in the backseat of a car before it showed a woman getting out of the car followed by the camera. Naomasa sat up in his seat when he saw that it was the same house they rescued those kids from. The video continued on and he saw something that made his blood boil, two bloodied kids fighting in the middle of a crowd as the adults were cheering them on.

Naomasa couldn't believe that adults were cheering like they were at a professional fight. It's disgusting that none of them were stepping in to break it up. He was glad that they have most of those guys in custody and he was going to find even greater joy when they are all sentenced. He continued to watch the video and got even angrier after they put the camera into the cage and overheard one of the adults announce that they were all betting on these fights, he couldn't wait for their hearings to come.

The video cut to an overhead view of the house and he could hear the police sirens getting closer. He saw multiple people run out of the house, including the woman from earlier get in their cars and drive off before the police arrived. The video ended and Naomasa sat back in his seat and thought over what he saw.

First, he was glad that they have video evidence showing not only the crime taking place but also some clear shots of some of the suspects that got away. Second, he was angry that anyone, let alone adults, would put children through that type of abuse. Third, he wanted to know how this Echo person was able to get this footage.

From how the footage was shot he could easily tell that the camera was on one of the children, a hidden camera most likely. Seeing how they also managed to get the camera onto the kid means that they met up with them before they were taken to the house and that the woman didn't put it on the kid or else she wouldn't have run. So it only leaves one possibility, Echo is the masked vigilante. It made sense, how else would they have known which house to break into.

But he can't get ahead of himself right now, first, he has to deal with the adults they have in custody and hunt down the remaining suspects that got away.

Izuku and Hayami were sitting on the couch watching All Might and Friends on the TV. Izuku was surprised to see that the show was still on the air after all these years, but seeing the All Might was still the number one hero it made sense that TV networks would want to leech off his success for as long as possible. Hayami was wearing some of her new clothes, a pink shirt and denim shorts. She still had on the pin that he or Jack Rabbit gave her, which warmed his heart to know that she still trusted him a little.

Clothes shopping was easy, well for him anyway. Hayami wasn't picky about what she wanted to wear, which annoyed Miss Azumi a little. She would always tell the little girl that she could wear anything that she wanted, but Hayami would always choose the first thing that either he or Miss Azumi picked out.

Miss Azumi was currently out picking up the other children, leaving only him and Hayami alone. Miss Azumi told him that the police would arrive later to drop off Hayami's stuff. The two sat in silence as they watched the TV, which was fine, it's not like Izuku knew what to say to the girl. Besides, she seems to be more interested in the bright colors on the screen than anything he could've said to her.

The doorbell rang, followed by a knock on the door, which Izuku assumed was the police officer dropping off Hayami's stuff. Izuku opened the door and saw his friend Fumikage holding papers instead of the police.

"Hey, I came by to drop off your homework," Fumikage said and handed his friend the work.

"Thank you, would you like to come in for a drink or something?" Izuku asked.

"Sure, I'm feeling a bit parched," Fumikage answered. Izuku led his friend to the kitchen and poured him a cup of water which his friend graciously took.

"So, why did you miss school?" Fumikage asked.

"Miss Azumi wanted me to help her with a new kid that was dropped off here last night," Izuku answered. Fumikage knew that Izuku helped out with taking care of the new kids, he and Tsuyu even helped out when Izuku asked them, the kids really like Dark Shadow. But this is the first time that Izuku missed school to help out Miss Azumi, meaning that this was serious. Fumikage decided that it was for the best to not push his friend for any answers about the new kid.

"So, is the homework on anything new or is it just revie-" Izuku tried to change the subject but he was interrupted by a loud pitched scream. The two boys looked around to find where the scream was coming from when Izuku spotted Hayami standing in the doorway.

"What's wrong!?" Izuku tried his best to comfort her without touching her but it wasn't working. Hayami was bawling her eyes out and shaking like she was in an earthquake. Izuku was at a loss on what he could do.

"Don't worry I got this," Dark Shadow said as he emerged from Fumikage. He got close to the little girl and tried to be as friendly-looking as possible, but he was scaring her even more.

"Hi, there!" Dark Shadow said. Hayami cried, even more, worrying the quirk and two boys. Dark Shadow started to move around like he was dancing. "It's okay, it's okay. I'm just a silly shadow."

Hayami cried even more and ran away from them, making all three of them feel bad.

"Look at what you did, Dark Shadow!" Fumikage reprimanded his quirk and Dark Shadow sadly put his head down and went back into his host's body. "I'm sorry for what Dark Shadow did."

"It's fine, but I think it would be a good idea for you to leave," Izuku said. He wasn't being mean or anything, but Hayami screamed before Dark Shadow came out, which means she was also scared of Fumikage. The two boys said their goodbyes, with Izuku promising to talk to him later.

After Fumikage left, Izuku started looking for the little girl. He first checked the living room but she wasn't there. He then checked the girls' room where he heard sniffling coming from under Hayami's covers. He slowly pulled back the covers to find Hayami with red eyes and puffy cheeks.

"It's okay, he's gone now," Izuku told her, but it didn't stop her from shaking.

"He's scary."

"I know they look scary, but they're my friends and I know they wouldn't hurt anyone," Izuku said but it didn't work, she buried her face into her pillow and pulled the covers over herself once again.

"But they're mutants and mutants are nothing but evil! That's what mama always said!"

Izuku was taken back by this. Her mother told her nothing but hate-filled messages and even called her own daughter evil because of something she couldn't control. Izuku wanted nothing more than to hunt down that evil woman, but he couldn't, not until he made Hayami feel better.

Izuku had an idea and quickly left for his room. He started digging through his closet for something he hasn't seen in years but knew he still had. He found it and quickly pulled it out. It was the stuffed rabbit that Miss Azumi bought him the day after he was dropped off at the orphanage.

It really got him through some tough times and helped him relax whenever he thought about his mother. Now that he's too old and doesn't need it anymore he knows that there's someone who needs it now more than ever. Quickly moving back to the girls' room, Izuku pulled back Hayami's covers.

"I have a gift for you," Izuku handed Hayami the stuffed rabbit and watched her eyes grow wide. "I want you to have my old stuffed rabbit. It helped me get through some tough times and I believe it can help you as well. Whenever you're feeling sad or scared just hold onto it tightly and you'll be ok."

Hayami squeezed the rabbit tightly and Izuku smiled. He could see that she started to calm down and it made him feel better that she wasn't scared anymore.

Hayami yawned.

"You tired?" Hayami nodded to his question and Izuku quickly put her covers back over her and turned out the lights. "Alright, you can take a nap. I'll be downstairs if you need anything and if you're not up by dinner I'll come get you."

Izuku went down to the living room, turned off the TV, and started working on his homework to pass the time. He didn't have to worry about Hayami which gave him the chance to only pay attention to his work. Most of it was review while some of it was new, but it wasn't complicated and he was able to finish it in twenty minutes.

The caretakers came back with the children shortly after Izuku finished his work. Not wasting any time, Izuku pulled Miss Azumi to the side to tell her what Hayami told him.

"I think we need to be careful with Hayami around the other kids with mutant quirks," Izuku told her and she gave him a puzzled look.

"What do you mean? And why only the kids with mutant quirks?"

"Fumikage came over to drop off my homework and I invited him in for a cup of water. When Hayami saw him she screamed, and it only got worse after Dark Shadow tried to calm her down."

"Well, they do appear frightening to kids her age. Remember when the kids first met him and Dark Shadow?" Miss Azumi retorted and Izuku couldn't deny it. He remembers when he asked his friend to help him take care of the children, first impressions weren't that great and it took a few minutes just to calm them all down. It got better when they saw that neither Fumikage nor Dark Shadow was going to hurt them, but this is different.

"I told her that they weren't going to hurt her after they left but she didn't believe me. She told me that her mother told her that mutants are evil," Miss Azumi gasped when she heard what Izuku said.

"That's horrible!"

"I know! I think she has a fear of people with mutant quirks and that's why I think we should be careful when Hayami is around other kids with mutant quirks."

"Where is she now?" Miss Azumi asked.

"She's in her bed taking a nap," Izuku answered. "But what are we going to do?"

"I think we shouldn't overwhelm her with meeting the other kids. Start off slow until she gets comfortable with everyone," Miss Azumi proposed and Izuku had an idea.

"I can call Tsu and have her siblings meet Hayami! They might even become friends!" Izuku exclaimed and Miss Azumi liked that idea.

"Good idea! Tsu's sister is around her age, and it's a good idea for her to be around kids her age."

Izuku nodded and the two parted ways. All that's left for him to do now is to call Tsu and fix what he's done.

It's late at night and everyone was asleep. Izuku finished putting on his costume but he wasn't going out tonight. He had to fix something that he broke and he was going to do that tonight.

Quietly, he crept out of his room trying his best not to wake anyone. He had to be careful, even though everyone was asleep, anyone could wake up at any time. He knew that it was dangerous, but he had to do this.

He slowly made his way to the girls' room, trying his best not to make any noise. He slowly opened the door and scanned the room. He spotted Hayami snuggling with a stuffed rabbit. He made his way over to her and gently shook her awake.

"Huh?' Hayami's eyes fluttered open before quickly growing wide. Jack Rabbit could see her mouth moving so he quickly covered it with his hand. He brought a finger to his mouth to signal her to be quiet before signaling her to follow him. She followed him out of the room and when they were in the hallway Jack Rabbit swallowed her into a hug.

"I'm sorry for leaving you. I had no other options. Please forgive me!" Jack Rabbit begged and he could hear Hayami cry and he felt his shoulder getting wet.

"Why did you leave me? Aren't you a hero?"

Jack Rabbit froze. He didn't know whether or not to tell her that he was a vigilante, but she was already heartbroken enough, he owed it to her.

"I'm not like other heroes. I can't stay around when the police show up or else I'll be arrested," Jack Rabbit told her.

"B-But only bad guys get arrested! You aren't a bad guy!"

"To the law I am, but to people like you, I'm a hero!" Jack Rabbit said and he could see the confusion written on her face.

"So what are you?"

"I'm Jack Rabbit and I'm a vigilante!"
