AN: Not much to say. I suck at summaries. Feels weird to write a chapter that's not at least 20k words. This fic is gonna contain a lot of soundtracks, so get them earpods ready. The music won't be strictly anime related, so be prepared to mix it up (Should you decide to go with it). Like I said in the summary, the soundtrack bit is purely optional. It's better suited for fast readers, so if you're a steady reader or feel songs will distract you as you read, then ignore that biihhh.
For those who are interested. I'll list out the tracks that'll be required for each chapter in the ANs.
Tracks: Furioso In F Minor by Nicholas Britell.
(You might recognize this as a theme song from the series 'Succession'.)
Anyways that's all I have to say I guess. Hopefully this is a good opener that'll get readers hooked. lessgo.
Chapter 1
Ultima
My name is Izuku Midoriya, student of class 1A, UA highschool. In this world, there is an existence of the supernatural. Some say it is purely a mutation, or evolution of humanity, some call it blessings from a higher power. In fact there are over a hundred beliefs and theories of where these strange abilities came from, and while none have been confirmed to be factual, the vast majority of the world refer to this fundamental difference as quirks.
The truth of when quirks were officially discovered is inconclusive. Many choose to believe it started with a glowing baby years ago. I personally believe we always had these mystical abilities hidden in some part of our souls or DNA. All it required was an opportunity to burst through. Currently, in modern man's 21st century these strange mutations have taken over almost the entirety of humanity. 80% of the world's populace have quirks.
The influx of these abilities spelt a change in the grand dynamics of the world. The system of operation was changed fundamentally.
Those blessed with quirks were faced with a great decision at least once in their lives; whether to use their quirk for good or for evil. Naturally, during the first generations of quirks the world fell into chaos since a majority of quirk users opted for the latter. With great power comes great responsibility, unfortunately man is a naturally irresponsible creature. The average man would first think of how to abuse an advantage he was granted, rather than how he could use it to help others.
Thus was the era of villains.
It had been until the JHA (Japanese Hero Association) was formed. It first started as a small band of do-gooders who made the choice to use their quirks for good rather evil. Then it evolved into a league righteous men and women determined to correct the mistakes of quirks using quirks of their own.
It didn't take long for these brave men and women to be develop into a crime fighting organisation of its very own. Today the JHA was by far one of the biggest crime fighting organisation in the entire world, boasting of numerous well-known pro heroes, an iconic academy for hero hopefuls and the legendary number one hero; Allmight.
Allmight was not merely the the top hero of the JHA, he was seen as a symbol of peace. A deterrent to all villains and a beacon of hope to all those looking to be saved.
Allmight was more than a hero. He was an ideology, a never believe ideology. He was a saviour, a teacher and believe it or not he is my personal mentor.
My name is Izuku Midoriya, formerly quirkless. I am now the newest successor of One-For-All, a generational quirk passed down from Allmight's teacher, Allmight himself and now me. My story has only just begun, and though it may not be an easy road to pro hero, I vow to make it there and repay the belief of my mentor with extra to spare!. To always give everything; plus ultra!.
However...
I had no idea just how bumpy that proverbial road would be.
"Izuku, hurry up or you'll be late!."
Time: 6:45am
Monday.
It was going to be just his second week in school. Just about a month since he met Allmight and inherited the One-For-All. The entrance exam went without a hitch... Well, there were one or two bumps. Okay honestly, it was a nightmare. But nevertheless he was here!. UA High finally. The very same academy many of his favorite pro heroes graduated from, the very roots and foundation of the JHA. Izuku Midoriya was now a part of it.
He couldn't believe it. From inheriting a quirk. He actually had a quirk now. And it was like the most powerful quirk known to man... Well, arguably the most powerful quirk known to man.
For a fifteen year old boy who had been declared quirkless for years prior, this was a massive leap forward. Though there had been a few negatives to his week –ranging from teacher Aizawa singling him out, his intimidating rival/best friend bullying/teasing him and having to practically deform himself to use his own quirk– it had been an amazing experience.
He'd settled in well with his classmates. All of them were generally good people, even Minoru Mineta. Out of the bunch he was lucky enough to hit it off with two other students, namely; Ochaco Uraraka and Tenya Ida. They were going to be amazing heroes in the future, he could tell. Though their quirks weren't as overwhelming as One-For-All, if used practically he could see them march into top 10 in the future. Their quirks; Zero Gravity and Engine.
"Izuku!."
"Coming kaa-san!."
After a quick breakfast and chat with his mother, Izuku left home. The second happiest person ever since Izuku had officially made it into UA High was naturally his mother. Though she found it a little strange how her son just managed to develop a quirk all of sudden, she simply counted it as a blessing and moved on.
There were cases of miracles, and poor Izuku wanted to be a pro hero so badly but ended up being diagnosed as quirkless. The boy was distraught ever since and completely lost his energetic side as a child and settled into depression. If anybody deserved such a miracle then it was her son.
Izuku opted to take the bus to school this time around. Allmight advised him to get in as much workout as he could, even when he was on the go. He just as well warned him not to overdo it and take a few rest days. Today was one such day. After the long couple months he had, he deserved it.
Izuku felt his phone buzz in his pocket and sighed in relief. The usage of phones was prohibited in UA High, if his mom hadn't messaged him he might've had to go through an embarrassing experience of his ringtone going off in class.
Izuku took out his phone, expecting a message from his mom that he forgot something, or anything along those lines. Surprisingly it wasn't his mother. Izuku Midoriya was a socially isolated individual. Aside from the friends his just made in school and Katsuki Bakugo; his childhood friend, Izuku really had no other friends. And since he hadn't exchanged numbers with his new pals or ever with Bakugo, he only expected his mother to call him.
Making friends was difficult. Especially for a quirkless boy. If he didn't meet Allmight then he might still be a loner now. Yet another reason he was both grateful and indebted to the number one hero.
As for the buzz, it was a notification from a message from a group chat he didn't remember joining.
'I wasn't up all night on my phone was I?. How come I can't remember ever joining this... [Notes]. Weird.' Izuku thought. The message from the strange group called [Notes] was a simply greeting and welcome.
[Hello. Welcome to Notes. What would you like to know?.]
The only strange bit was that he was the only one in group aside from the admin. It was clearly a new group. Izuku didn't want to be rude, so he decided not to immediately exit the group, however he wouldn't be engaging in an online discussion right now. He was about turn off his Wi-Fi when another message popped up.
[Do you have any questions, Izuku Midoriya?.]
Izuku froze. Normally it wouldn't be strange if the admin insisted on calling him by his account name rather than just [User]. However that wasn't his user name. His user name was [Almighty_091].
(There was no lack of people with Allmight related names on this app).
His profile had nothing that connected it to his actual identity. His profile picture was one of Allmight, the date of birth was different and his mom wasn't even on this app, so they were not connected in anyway. So how...
'How does this guy know my name?.' Izuku thought. His face was already covered with goosebumps of perspiration. He had heard a little about situations like these enough to know that this person was either a friend playing a prank on him, a stalker, a hacker or a person from the dark web looking to pull him into something ironically dark and twisted. It couldn't be a friend because he really had none to be honest. It could be a stalker but, was he really interesting enough a guy to be stalked?. It could be a hacker... He hoped it was a hacker. He hoped it was not anything but the last possibilities and it was because it wouldn't have anything to do with him particularly.
It would be all about Allmight.
The dark web was more or less an unofficial base for villains everywhere. It was an open secret that most upstart villains started their establishments, gained reputation and took jobs on the dark web. Again, he wasn't an interesting guy. If somebody on the dark web, likely a villain, took out time too seek him out then it clearly had to do with the one interesting bit of him.
His connection to Allmight.
The number one hero hadn't openly said it, but Izuku wasn't dumb. He realized taking on the One-For-All meant Allmight's enemies would become his and until he mastered his quirk he would be a liability to the man. He just didn't expect his run-in with one of his mentor's rivals to come so soon.
Izuku's hands trembled, he barely managed to maintain his grasp on his phone. He was in a dilemma. To reply or not reply?. He couldn't pretend he didn't see the message. It was already on read. Whoever this mysterious admin was he already knew he had seen the messages. After five minutes of internal debating on what to do, Izuku had to get down from the bus.
He had arrived at the gates of UA High before he could make a decision. Now he was here he experienced a burst of clarity. Rather than trying to solve an Allmight level problem by himself, why not take the problem to Allmight himself? . He wanted to make the man proud and prove he could carry the responsibility of One-For-All. However, if this turned out to be exactly what he feared it was then he would be way in over his head to even attempt to try to face this by his lonesome.
'I should switch off my phone for the time being.'
But again...
[Do you want to know the truth, Izuku Midoriya?.]
[Do you want to know who the true enemy is?]
Two messages this time. Just before he could step into the school's compound. Izuku glared at his phone screen pensively.
Vroom
The sound of an incoming car. Someone was coming!. Without thinking Izuku quickly hid behind a flower bush. Even he wasn't sure why he was hiding. Was it because he didn't want to be seen on his phone just before entering the compound, or because he was scared being around others would pull them into this [Notes] business, he wasn't sure. All he knew was his gut told him to hide.
He peered through the bushes nervously and watched a group of students go by.
"I was pretty sure I just saw Midoriya here." One student said.
"Maybe he already went in." Another, one with a particularly unique physiology said.
Izuku watched the two boys leave amidst of their chatter. They were two of his classmates, Denki Kaminari and Mashirao Ojiro. Just like Izuku, Ida and Ochaco the two boys had hit it off within their first week in UA High. It was funny how people with so different quirks could still find common ground within the walls of UA High. That was one of the beauties of UA High and the JHA.
Right now, however, Izuku had no time to worry about the beauties of friendships in highschool; his phone began to beep. A bunch of messages came in, and more importantly he forgot to put it on silent!.
'Shit!.' Izuku cursed internally.

[Type: Hero/Villain Conflict]
[Do you want to interfere, Izuku Midoriya?.]
The several messages were accompanied by a ding sound of his phone notifying him. The sudden sounds caused both Denki and Ojiro to stop in their tracks. Izuku felt his heart drop to his stomach.
'Please ignore it, please ignore it, please ignore it, please ignore it, please ignore it, please ignore it, please ignore it...' Izuku chanted desperately in his mind.
Alas...
"Did you hear that?." Ojiro asked, turning to the direction of the bushes that Midoriya was hiding behind.
"Yeah sounded like a phone?." Denki said. He too suspiciously peered at the bushes. Mashirao nodded in agreement with his assessment. "Was it from yours?." Denki asked, raising an eyebrow suggestively. "Could be your girlfriend. Could be Hagakure."
The small tease was enough to make the tailed boy blush. "Don't be ridiculous!. I don't even bring my phone with me to school." Ojiro denied.
Denki couldn't keep the surprise from reaching his face when he heard that. "Huh?. So how do you stay connected?. And what if there's an emergency at home?."
Ojiro managed to get back his cool and replied coolly. "I don't need to stay connected and if there's an emergency my parents can just call the school." He said matter-of-factly.
"Well that's n–"
Ding!
Another sound of a phone beeping. This time though, both Denki and Ojiro turned to former's pocket rather than the bushes. Ojiro gave Denki a flat stare, the lightning quirk user could only shrug and smile sheepishly. He struggled to hide his embarrassment as he pulled out his cellphone. He didn't even bother reading the message he got and quickly switched it off. With that he half ran into the compound, not looking back once to see if Ojiro was keeping up. Of course the tailed boy had no issue keeping up.
When the two had left Izuku let out a sigh of relief he didn't even know he was holding. That was a situation he was happy he was out of and would be even happier to never be in again. He stared at his phone in annoyance. It was still buzzing from the notifications from [Notes]. This group was nothing but trouble. But still he couldn't stop himself from checking to see what this mysterious admin had to say.

[Pro Heroes: #10 Kamui Woods and #23 Mt Lady vs Provisional Villain: Ultima.]
[Do you want to interfere, Izuku Midoriya?.]
The bells in Izuku's head immediately went off. Two pro heroes, one which was in the top 10 were in the vicinity!. Kamui Woods and Mt Lady. He'd seen them in action just over a month ago. To think he'd chance up on another run in...
Izuku quickly calmed his racing heart. While he was excited he hadn't lost all sense of reasoning. According to [Notes] both Kamui Woods and Mt Lady were in a brawl with someone called Ultima. First and foremost, he'd never heard of such a person. And to garner the attention and collaboration of two top heroes of the JHA, he had to be quite the big deal. Yet, Izuku, a hero fanatic had never heard of this super villain?. Aside from that, there was the obvious abnormality with the lack of any chaos in the vicinity.
[Notes] had discovered a clash between top heroes and a villain next to the biggest hero academy in the country and not a single sound from the school?. Adding the fact that someone of Mt Lady's caliber was actually in a fight close by, and he could neither seen nor feel it?. If this didn't spell suspicious then Izuku didn't know what would.
'Is this a scam?.' He wondered.

[Jump Gate located]
[Sending designated location to GPS]
[Parsing...]
With another beep, Izuku's GPS app automatically opened.
'It's actually directing me somewhere. To this [Jump Gate]?.' Izuku pondered following his GPS or not. After a moment of self-debating his curiosity won over his better judgement. He poked his head out of the bushes and looked to make sure no one was around. After confirming he was alone, Izuku emerged from hiding and swiftly moved towards the pinned location on his phone's screen.
It didn't take Izuku long to get to the location Kamui Woods and Ultima were apparently fighting someone in. It was in an alley, far too narrow to contain even one of Mt Lady's feet. Not to mention it would greatly limit Kamui Woods' mobility if they actually fought here. Unless the two pro heroes were hell bent on handicapping themselves, they would never pick such a terrible location for a fight. They would never fight so dangerously close to UA High in the first place.
"So much for a fated run-in." Izuku muttered. Who would even fight in such a place?. It was just an alley. Aside from the broken down vending machine by the wall, nothing stood out. 'Wait... what's a vending machine doing in an alley?. Aren't these things supposed to be by the road?.' Izuku wondered to himself as he approached the broken down machine. It looked normal, asides being totally busted up it looked like a regular old vending machine. But those thoughts were immediately contradicted the second Izuku place a hand on it.
The completely broken down vending machine miraculously came to life. It's cracked and fogged screen began to display. Izuku jumped in fright. He tripped over his own feet and fell on his butt. His wide eyes however, remained glued to the booting machine that clearly wasn't a broken down vending machine. Not long after, just like [Notes] it began to display messages.

If it wasn't the most previous message, then it was the bright white light bursting out of the vending machine that told Izuku he'd screwed up. He's screwed up real bad.

'Oh dear...'
Shuuuuuuuu!
Rays of white light covered Izuku and illuminated the once dark alley. The green haired boy reflexively covered his face and shut his eyes to keep out the blinding bright light. It was a few seconds ago when the light dimmed down and disappeared and Izuku Midoriya along with it. The strange vending machine returned to being it's formerly unsuspecting self. The alley was clouded in darkness once more.
When Izuku got his bearings the first thing that he realized was that he wasn't standing where he was just standing a moment ago. Actually he wasn't standing at all. He was falling.
Izuku's eyes snapped open and he found that this assessment was in fact factual. He was falling from over ten meters down.
"Waaaaaahhhh"
Unfortunately screaming in distress couldn't help him. Thankfully, a tree happened to be in his path. With a burst of quick thinking and sharp reflexes, Izuku panickedly took off his school bag and used the straps to catch himself on one of the tree's sturdy branches. Luckily it cracked but didn't give out. Izuku sighed in relief.
The second thing that he realized was that everything was trembling. It was as if there was a sudden earth quake!. More so it felt as though those tremors were getting increasing closer. A shadow was suddenly cast over Izuku, the tree he was on and all that surrounded it.
BOOM!
Out of nowhere a giant foot slammed into the ground with enormous might. The earth split and shattered, tremors went across the entire area. Though the gigantic feet didn't flatten Izuku, the shock wave was enough to uproot the tree and send him flying. Everything happened so fast. One second he was falling, then he managed to catch himself and the next he was set flying. Despite the green haired boy's misfortune, the tremors did not cease for a second. Another gigantic foot crashed down into the concrete, sending cars and trees alike flying.
Izuku was still in the air, afraid for his life, yet he couldn't tear his eyes away from the extraordinary scene in front of him. Right before his very eyes was the very heroine [Notes] claimed was fighting here; Mt Lady. And she was in fierce battle with what seemed to be an orange blur.
However, that wasn't nearly as shocking as the condition Mt Lady was in. Her costume was a mess. Ripped up in several, some places leaving her greatly indecent. Izuku had a creeping suspicion that those ones were on purpose. However, despite the revealing state of her wears, she looked anything but enticing. Fresh and dried blood stains covered her exposed skin. Half her hair had been dyed red with her own blood, her left eye was forced closed due to the profusely bleeding gash above it. There were numerous injuries and burns all over her frame.
Still, despite her wounds she fought. Izuku wanted to think of it as fierce battle, or at least a valiant effort to at least damage her opponent. But even from his point of view, it appeared nothing more than a pointless struggle to survive. Her lone eye were filled with tears of unwillingness as her defenses were torn down.
Staring at those large orbs glittering in pain, anguish and fear Izuku felt a sudden surge of energy. She was a powerful heroine in the top 30, yet even she could make such an expression. Like someone who wanted to be saved. Just staring her eyes he had a sudden irresistible urge to save her. It was a feeling he couldn't deny.
Amidst the chaos none could hear Izuku's mighty roar as he rescued the large tree to splinters and made use of the recoil to right himself on the top of a building. From here he could get a better view of what was truly happening. His success costed him a finger, but he had no time to even worry about the pain. Realization finally dawned on him. He was in an alley before he touched that vending machine, then all of a sudden he was here.
An abandoned city. It was in ruins, largely due to superhuman brawl taking place at its center. The sky was dark, the sun was hidden by thick rain clouds. Buildings had been knocked down, roads had been torn apart, raging flames consumed a good majority of it and what was not covered with fire was covered in blood. It was like hell. And the devil was mauling Mt Lady's defenses like a possessed beast.
From the looks of it, it was only a matter of time before she...
Izuku froze. It sounded ridiculous now, but looking back he never really contemplated it. Death. The death of heroes. Heroes could die. Perhaps it was the sense of immortality the number one hero had about him. Allmight influenced the entirety of the JHA so to most of the country it felt like heroes were unflappable, understandable, unstoppable and even unkillable.
Not until one was faced with it. The first time for Izuku was when Allmight showed him his injury. It was then he even pondered on the idea that Allmight could bleed, could hurt and could be hurt. Even the symbol of peace could be gravely wounded fighting against a villain.
Heroes weren't immortals. Regardless of what the public thought, they weren't gods. They bleed just the same and could die just the same. Watching from the outside often left people lost on what being something was truly about.
Not many hero hopefuls considered the danger, Izuku included. Many who signed up thought they would be protected by their quirks, training or teammates. One day out in the real world and those group of naive children would learn otherwise. The cost to pay for the title hero was downplayed. And that in itself was a greater villain than any other. That very same misconception had eaten up a lot more than one or two naïve little boys and girls.
And it would've swallowed Izuku Midoriya whole had he not had this day.
Now in the face of the reality. In the face of true carnage and horror, Izuku Midoriya was forced to admit to himself...
He was afraid. Far more scared than he was when he saved Bakugo from that slime villain. Far more scared than he was during the exams. Far more scared than he had ever been. This crime scene was completely different from the rest. A while ago he could watch Mt Lady fight without any issues, but now the mere sight of it terrified him to his bones.
It dawned on him how gigantic the woman truly was. If he wasn't a little lucky a few moments ago, he would been crushed to death by a simple misplaced step. Her physical strength was equally terrifying. She fell buildings in a single blow. On days prior to this one, a giant heroine protecting the masses with her powerful hands sounded heroic. Right now, watching that very hero move about, crushing everything in her wake...
It was a horror show.
However, not even the terrifyingness Mt Lady's quirk could compare to him. The villain that was tearing into her. Izuku had seen villains and read about them, but none of it was anything like this. He was ruthless. He didn't hold anything back as he smashed into her body. He could hear the thunderous sounds of bones creaking, cracking and breaking. He didn't care for Mt Lady's tears, pleas for mercy nor shrills of pain. He just went at it. No mercy, no hesitation, unrelenting without any speck of regret. Calling such a... thing a villain would do him no justice. He was nothing but a demon.
And even the bravest of men would tremble at the thought of facing a demon, so how a kid like Izuku Midoriya dare to stand up to such a thing?. Izuku's eyes lost a fair bit of their luster, his shoulders slumped as he shrunk back in fear. He wanted to save Mt Lady but...
He feared for his life.
"STOP IT YOU MONSTER!."
As if to remind Izuku that even though he was terrified, there existed men who could even stand bravely against demons. Kamui Woods made his heroic appearance. Though the 10th ranked pro hero looked anything but at the moment –half of his body had been devastated and burnt to charcoal. An entire arm of his was missing. He was barely able to stand, and had to rely on a self-created staff to maintain his balance. His body made loud creaking noise from every slight movement. He was quite literally on his last legs.
Still, the fury and determination in his eyes burnt ever so bright. He didn't even hesitate and hurled himself right into the middle of the chaos wrought by both giant and demon.
Wood tendrils burst out of his body, shooting at the orange blur like hungry snakes. The tendrils tightly bonded the figure –not even giving him a second to resist, Kamui Woods brutally smashed him into the ground. It didn't end there. Kamui Woods sluggishly, yet still quickly, dragged himself to an opposite direction as Mt Lady. The orange blur was still lodged into the concrete, so he had to suffer the pain being dragged through the ground. Literally.
"AAAHHH"
Kamui Woods roared in pain. His wood tendrils couldn't take the punishment for long, and he was left with the excruciating feeling of extensions of his body snapping in two. Still he preserved through the pain. He refused to even take a second to rest. Everything was put into dragging this monster as far away from Mt Lady as possible.
He blamed himself. He shouldn't have dragged someone outside the top 10 into his fight. At that time he was sure they could handle. He couldn't dare believe the warning he was given. How could he believe such a thing?. That a mere child was so powerful that even two powerful pro heroes weren't his match?. It was unreasonable, so he didn't believe it. But alas, that unreasonable possibility became a harsh reality. Unfortunately not only he but Mt Lady as well had to suffer for his mistake.
'I have to make up for it. She can't die here because of me.' Kamui Woods screamed to himself. 'I must give her an opportunity to escape from here, even it costs me my life!.' he declared. Blood sprayed out of his mouth, staining his wooden face. Yet another of his wood tendrils had been severed. He was down to a single one now. Kamui Woods had no intentions of stopping. If he lost all his tendrils then he would drag that beast with his bare hands. 'Get as far away from her as possible!.'
There was another thing Kamui Woods underestimated, aside from his enemy's strength.
"KAMUI THROW THAT BASTARD BACK HERE FOR ME!."
Mt Lady's determination.
She spent a better part of the quarter of an hour being pummeled by that monster while Kamui Woods was still recovering. Now they finally had him in a bind. She wasn't going to miss this opportunity to pay him back for the last ten or so minutes. She wasn't going to just stay back and let Kamui Woods defend her. She was a hero too. And she, like every hero had her own pride.
Kamui Woods glanced back and was greeted with the sight of Mt Lady, stubbornly ignoring her injuries as she took a fighting stance. Her right fist was cocked back, veins visibly bulged out of exposed arm. She had gathered all that was left of her strength in that one fist. Her eyes blazed with fierce determination and unbridled anger.
Kamui Woods sighed. Even if he wanted to refuse her, he couldn't dare deny such an expression. This was a great heroine showing her pride. "Then we'll decide it with one last combo!." Kamui Woods declared. With new found adrenaline he slammed his good leg into a building top and sprang back towards Mt Lady's direction.
Crack!
"Mmmffhh!." Kamui Woods' pained scream was muffled by the hot blood exploding from his throat. His leg couldn't bare the impact from the sudden burst and gave away. Kamui Woods gritted his teeth and tossed aside the pain. Even if it was only temporarily, it had to be this moment. Everything would be decided with this move. With a roar of effort, Kamui Woods pulled the bonded villain out of the concrete and begun twirling him in the air as fast as he could. He felt like his arms were going to rip off, but he ignored the pain. Nothing else mattered. They had to take him down. "Mt Lady, are you ready?!." He asked.
"JUST CHUCK HIM OVER AND LEAVE THE REST TO ME!." Mt Lady's eyes narrowed menacingly. "I'll make sure he never stands up again." She said in a booming whisper.
"Here he comes!." Kamui Woods bellowed. With one last twirl and a mighty swing, he sent the orange blur flying towards Mt Lady. His last tendril snapped like a string in the process. He didn't have the chance to scream or vomit blood as the recoil of the move had already sent him flying through several buildings before crashing into the street, his life and death unknown.
Mt Lady felt greatly indebted to the Arbor quirk hero. She would even go as far as calling him a mentor. However, right now she couldn't spare a single second to care about whether or not he survived. All that mattered was the orange figure bulleting towards her. If Kamui Woods was alive then he would be able to celebrate taking this guy down with her. If he wasn't then...
She must avenge him!.
"HHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!"
BOOOOOOM
Fist met flesh. And in that very instant the city collapsed. Buildings fell like sand castles, trees were splintered and sent flying like they weighed nothing. The streets were covered with spiderwebs of cracks. The hollow grounds gave in revealing the subways and sewers in one fell swoop.
And right in the core of that strike was a massive crater, still expanding. It didn't stop until the battered orange blur was sent flying. Far further than Kamui Woods was. His body left a mayhem of destruction in its wake, creating a massive track of destruction in a mere instant. The figure slammed into a large sturdy statue before halting. Firmly imbedded into the statue's metallic forehead.
It was a statue of the symbol of peace.
Allmight.
And just like that, silence returned to the deformed and battered city. The only thing interrupting it was the pants of Mt Lady. Izuku was left gazing, gobsmacked, at the visage of the gigantic woman. This was a hero. Even in the face of despair, unrelenting. Even after being beaten near death, unyielding. It wasn't simply the power they had, it was how they always used it. Even when things looked bleak, a hero stood firmly and became a beacon of hope to the people. Because that was what a hero did.
They didn't simply save lives by pulling people out of fires, stopping villains or saving them from floods. Their every action saved the world. It reminded people that they were always there; fighting. Never giving up. Always fighting so everyone could be safe. Those actions saved lives everyday. It saved Izuku Midoriya's life as well!.
He wanted to scream. To holler praises at the top of his lungs but he didn't. He couldn't. Anything else would sully this beautiful moment Kamui Woods and Mt Lady created together. It was perfect.
Mt Lady fell to one knee and vomited a large wave of blood. She had long been injured by that freak, and that final punch only worsened her condition. That punch had taken almost all her energy and she was forced to revert back to normal size after it.
"Can't pass out..." She muttered weakly. "Ka... mui... Save..." She whispered as she groggily tried to stand up, but ended up falling flat on her ass. "Too... tired..." Mt Lady complained to herself. The mind was willing but the body was unable. She wanted nothing more than to rush to Kamui Woods and see if he was alive but she really couldn't squeeze out even an ounce of energy. Staying conscious was already a huge task on its own. "Damn... it..." She cursed.
Izuku knew it was time to reveal himself. They'd won the fight but Mt Lady was too weak to find Kamui Woods. If they hadn't won, who knew what would've been his fate at the hands of that villain. He owed the two at least this much.
Ding
Izuku groaned. Today his phone seemed hell bent on interrupting every one of his decisions. He went on the move, but still begrudgingly pulled out his phone. As expected it was a message from [Notes]. When he saw what was displayed on the screen he almost tripped over and fell flat on his face. Izuku froze. He could not bring himself to believe what he was seeing.
"Impossible..." he whispered in disbelief. And yet, it was right in front of him.
[Update!]
[Type: Hero/Villain Conflict]
[Pro Hero: #23 Mt Lady vs Provisional Villain: Ultima]
[You have successfully interfered]
"You have successfully interfered..." Izuku muttered to himself, at a loss at what those words meant and scared at what it could mean.
Unlike the other messages, the nature of this one was an update rather than an alert. This meant that the situation had not been abated, but there was still something worth mentioning. The lack of Kamui Woods' name in the new update filled Izuku with a dread he had never felt before. This could mean that Kamui Woods was...
'No... No no no no no... It can't be.' He couldn't bring himself to believe that a great hero like that would just...
Aside from that fear, there was another dread. Kamui Woods' name had disappeared, and whatever that meant, it meant the 'provisional villain' condition was the direct opposite of whatever Kamui Woods' condition was.
Unfortunately for Izuku and Mt Lady, it was far worse than they could both imagine.

Kriiieeengggg
Izuku and Mt Lady looked up from their respective positions. Their eyes going wide as saucers, glued to the forehead of the large metallic statue of Allmight.
"How... How can it be...?"
"I-Impossible..."
A lone powerful hand erupted from the swirled confines of the statue. The sturdy metal was rendered useless by the lone hand, as it opened through it like a can opener. More remarkably, there wasn't a single trace of blood despite even after the arm harshly scrapped across the sharp jagged edges metal.
With one final thrust, the sheet of metal was torn apart, revealing the car sized crater with a single figure standing inside it. He lightly dusted off his hand before peering down on the wreckage of a city. His eyes settled on Mt Lady and his face broke into a wolfish grin.
His mighty figure remained firmly rooted in the forehead of the number one hero, and somehow, compared the the metallic statue he appeared even more sturdier, more powerful and more awe-inspiring. Yes, awe-inspiring.
Even though he was clearly a villain, Izuku couldn't help but be awed by his appearance. Nothing could take away the majesty in his stance, not even his ripped up casual clothes nor the bloodstains on what was left of it. He looked only a few years older than Izuku, yet already had the bearings of a man. He was about 6ft, maybe half an inch more. He had golden colored hair that he held that was held up but a blue headband, making two of his lengthier locks stand up like fox ears.
His eyes were a cold blue and his pupils were slit like that of a beast. He had three whisker marks on both sides of his cheeks, that an the wolfish grin he wore made him appear even more beast-like. He had a chiseled and powerful looking body, though lean and athletic it was quite obvious that that body was holding back an enormous amount of power.
He was dressed in grey shorts and ripped up orange A-shirt with a U inscribed on it. This was the provisional villain [Notes] notified him about. Ultima.
He looked no older than eighteen years. 'How could somebody so young stand up to two top pro heroes?.' Izuku wondered.
Mt Lady eyes turned frosty as she glared at Ultima. "You... monster... are you unkillable or something?!." She yelled in anger and frustration.
Ultima chuckled. He casually threw himself down the statue. Izuku's eyes went wide as he watched the man hurl himself from thirty metres down.
Booom
Ultima crashed heavily into the ground, cratering it. A thick cloud of dust billowed out of the human sized crater. The figure of Ultima was revealed. He casually picked himself up from the ground and dusted himself off. To Izuku's shock, there wasn't even a single bruise on him. Ultima walked casually towards Mt Lady. Time seemed to slow down, the desolated city was silent as a ghost town. The only sounds coming from Ultima's bare foot hitting concrete. From time to time he crushed some of the slightly large stones he stepped on to dust.
Then, he was in front of her. Only a few inches separated them. Mt Lady defiantly glared at him, despite knowing she was helpless to defend herself against this monster. Ultima crouched down, now they were face to face with each other.
"Am I unkillable?. I guess you could say that. I mean, I wouldn't call myself Ultima if I could be so easily hurt." Ultima said with a shrug. His grin then turned perverted. "Damn, even after getting pummeled ya still look sexy. Guess you got a for being fisted." Ultima laughed at his own nasty joke.
Mt Lady expression turned to one of disgust. Nothing was more embarrassing than being ridiculed by a villain after a defeat. A senior had once told her this. Now she could confirm that it was true. Since she couldn't move to strike him, all Mt Lady could do was give him a spit to the face as a response.
Ultima's smile dropped. He glared at the heroine in annoyance and moved his hand towards. He watched her flinch in fear and couldn't help but giggle in glee. He loved watching his prey squirm. He gently cupped her face and smiled lightly. "I'm not gonna hit you when you're down babes." Ultima assured. "You're not a threat to me, so no point in beating you up anymore than I already have. So... don't... you... worry." Ultima said, lightly punctuating his words with a light tap on the annoyed woman's face using his thumb. "Believe it or not, I'm quite a decent guy. We should get to know each other other some time." Ultima said with a mischievous smile.
"You... you killed... Kamui!." Mt Lady hoarsely accused. "You're... a beast... a monster... bastard... animal... wicked... thing..."
"Damn, slow down. Save some for Woody." Ultima patted Mt Lady's shoulder lightly. He saw the woman's eyes aglow with hope and relief. "Yeah, he's not dead." Ultima sat on the ground and leaned back, using his arms for support. "Y'all righteous heroes need to chill with all this bs, for real for real. I'm a provisional villain, I don't have a license to kill. At least not yet. So no matter how much you annoy me–" he pointed at the spit that was still on his face; between the corner of his right eye and just over his cheekbone "–I can't off ya."
Ultima leveled his head so he could look directly at Mt Lady. His expression turned stone serious as he stared into her eyes. "That doesn't mean there won't be repercussions for crossing me." he said. After the words his expression turned laid-back again. It was as though his expression had never shifted in the first place. He balanced himself on one hand and lightly waved the other at the destruction. "This is the result, as you've seen."
"...you tried to kill an entire class." Mt Lady said. She couldn't understand how the guy could still try to make himself out to be the victim, after beating them up. After what he was caught doing. How could he keep a straight face and still claim he was a decent guy?. The provisional villain Ultima was a mystery indeed.
"Hey, I thought a friend of mine would be amongst those kids!." Ultima tried to justify.
"They... almost... died... you fuc–"
"Come now, babes. I thought Midnight was the R-rated hero."
"Screw you."
Ultima shrugged. "You and Woody swooped in right in time to save them, so meh. No harm no foul." Ultima said, casually pushing aside the fates of over thirty children. They really weren't his concern. And most of the danger they were in, Kamui Wood and Mt Lady contributed to when they tried to stop him. If anyone was to blame, it was them.
Mt Lady had never seen someone so irresponsible in her life. Your average villain wouldn't care who got hurt. Nor would they be bothered to pretend. This guy however acted like he cared, only to contradict himself with his very own actions, then he try to lump the responsibility with others. What a worthless piece of trash.
"Anyways, I gotta go." Ultima said and leaned forward. His gave lowered to Mt Lady's chest area. The woman's face paled and turned aghast. Ultima ignored her and ripped out a good portion of her suit, revealing a very deep cleavage.
He paid no mind to Mt Lady's strings of loud curses and used the piece of cloth to wipe the spit off his face. When he was done he stared at her seriously. "In this life we have to take responsibility for even the slightest of our actions. It doesn't matter if we want to or not. Responsibilities have a way of pursuing us."
Mt Lady froze. She wasn't sure if the guy was being serious or just messing with her. All she knew was the risks of annoying him when he had such an expression was too high to bare. For the first time, she was legitimately scared of this teenager.
Ultima rose to his feet. "Now you've let Woody drag you into this world... You'll have to bare the responsibility of it." He said, and tossed the piece of her costume back to her. He turned to leave. "I promise you it won't be easy. It never is for anybody who's seen this world." Ultima's gazed settled on a figure standing atop a building.
Mt Lady followed his eyes and they in turn widened. 'There's someone else here?!.' However, she was too far away to make out who the person was. She couldn't even tell if it was a male or a female.
The person in question was Izuku. Ultima had noticed his presence ever since he barged into this world. He chose to ignore him since he made no move to interfere with his battle with Mt Lady and Kamui Woods. But now he had the time to acknowledge the person's presence.
"In this world, it's eat or be eaten. You'll soon find that out for yourselves." Ultima said. He tapped a small device that was hidden in his ear and whispered something. Suddenly all foreign existences within the city begun to fade. Ultima, Kamui Woods, Mt Lady and Izuku, they were all disappearing.
Mt Lady and Izuku panicked for a small interval, but when they saw that Ultima was relaxed they too returned to calmness. "I'll see you around Yu Takeyama. If by then you've decided that this world isn't worth saving, then maybe I'll take you with me." Ultima said with a smile.
"I won't... go... anywhere with... you." Mt Lady said stubbornly. On the other hand she was taken aback by yet another mystery of Ultima. 'How does he know my real name?!.'
"Don't count on it." Ultima said with a snicker. He then turned the far away Izuku. "I don't know what you're doing here but chances are you'll be eaten up in no time. Have fun in the real world, kid." Ultima said with a wave. Mt Lady turned to the faraway figure again and was about to say something but they had all disappeared before she had the chance.
Izuku reappeared in the alley next to the wrecked vending machine. He was left with an odd feeling one could only get when they suddenly found themselves in a position they didn't recall being in. Izuku took a few minutes to get his bearings and sighed.
It felt like a dream but he was sure it had happened. The provisional villain Ultima... Izuku had no idea what to make of him. He was too far away to hear his conversation with Mt Lady or what he said when he looked at him. All Izuku could confirm was that Kamui Woods wasn't dead. If he was, then he doubted that Mt Lady would be able to have a civilised conversation with Ultima.
Ultima. He was a strange villain all things considered. He fought like a heartless beast, yet showed mercy to Kamui Woods and Mt Lady. That wasn't a common trait amongst villains. Another thing that was confusing was how Izuku had never heard of such a villain. A teenager who could take down the #10 and #23 pro heroes at once, how wasn't he big news?. Yet, if Izuku had not seen him with his two eyes he would've never believed such a powerful villain existed.
There was also the case of 'provisional villain'. Izuku had no clue what that meant, but for a reason he could not explain it gave him the chills. Were there more villains like Ultima out there?. Or was the teenager simply an anomaly?. Izuku knew he couldn't get any answers standing in an alley, so he quickly got up and turned to leave. He decided that when he saw Allmight he would ask him. He just hoped he wouldn't get in trouble for using his serial number to access the [Jump Gate]. Well, they were in school. Even if he got upset, what's the worst he could do there?.
"Crap, school!. I'm late!." Izuku yelled out anxiously and immediately raced back to UA High.
End.
