Prologue:

"... too. nin. .hot. to g.t her dow. as i. is I doub. she is going to be down for long."

"Sir! She is waking up!"

"Hit her with it again."

TWIP TWIP TWIP

"Sheesh, enough tranquilizer in her to kill 5 .-rexe."

"In..ed, sh. an. .h. ot.e.s w... mak. fo. gr..."

Pain filled her being as she screamed into the mask on her face, "I will never be like them. I swear it on my honor."

She was floating in some sort of liquid and it was getting into her eyes when she tried to open them. She could see vague shapes moving outside of her containment, but the worst part was how weak she felt and the pain coursing through her body. The shapes on the other side were seemingly unconcerned by , but she couldn't figure out why. She screamed again and then her vision faded to black and she knew no more.

The next time she awoke her senses were still dulled by her containment, but they seemed sharper than before. Again she was awake because of pain, but this time it was more of a dull ache that for some reason reminded her of the Jusenkyo transformation if she had gone through it a little too often in a day. She felt as something slid off of her, and then the darkness returned.

She started awake as a sharp pain hit her gut, and she didn't like this pain. It was irritating, like a combination of a punch to the gut, ordinary stomach ache, and something much worse that she couldn't put her finger on. It seemed to last and pulse in and out for a long time getting progressively worse, temporarily overpowering whatever drugs were in her system subduing her. She didn't know how long it had lasted, but it eventually ended and she passed out.

Dr. Henry Wu sighed as looked into his camera and hit the button to stop recording, "You know, Project JWS was your idea."

A man in a cloak that Dr. Wu could see behind him due to the computer screen's reflective surface smirked, "And it has been a rousing success. To think that we would some day be capable of utilizing the power of Jusenkyo. It used to be considered a pipe dream and every attempt to tamper with the springs or those connected with them was doomed to failure. Then you come along, Doctor. A man with the drive, knowledge, and passion capable of taming Jusenkyo. Why even the by-products of this project have been remarkably profitable."

Dr. Wu spun around in his chair to face the man, "The sheer amount of data I have gotten will aide me in my quest, but you are naïve my friend."

The man crossed his arms over his chest, "Oh?"

Dr. Wu steepled his hands together, "Animals, no matter how intelligent or dumb can be trained. What we have done is create the super-soldier the world has been trying to achieve for thousands of years. What do you think would happen if these soldiers we have created decided to turn on us?"

The man rolled his eyes, "We would supress them, obviously."

Dr. Wu snorted, "With what? Bullets made of silver? I don't think you realise just what it is we have done here. We have made two new races of were-creatures immensly more powerful than any that came before them. Traditional weakness do not work on them and their regenerative powers are quite frankly off the charts powerful to the point where i doubt they can be killed outside of in a lab like this where we had to put down the volatile subjects. The information i got off of them on hybridisation and on the hundreds of new species capable of being produced is indespensible to my work. Quite frankly this project pushed my research a hundred years into the future in just ten years, but these products must never leave this Island."

The man glared at Dr. Wu, "So you are reneging on our agreement?"

Dr. Wu shook his head, "No, the thing is this project by standard definitions is a complete failure. Of the three hundred test subjects only eleven have survived, and one of those has become a problem after escaping to the jungle. No, i am putting this program on ice, and with the way this facility is set up they should remain that way for at least a hundred years if not more."

The man growled, "But we know more about the requirements needed in the candidates now."

Wu shook his head, "My decision is final, and remember, if this ship goes down, we are both going with it."
