Newspaper Nuisance Part 2

When I leave the club room I see the newspaper club standing outside.

I raise an eyebrow at them, "Do you need anything?"

"Ah, Miss Muto, why are you here so late?" The loser president looks at my somewhat heavy binder. "Paperwork I see, are you always staying late to do this?"

"What's this guy's deal? Why is he here?"

"And why is that any of your business, if I may ask?" I clutch my binder closer to my chest.

He's a little surprised at my question.

"I guess no one has had the balls to backtalk him in such a way."

He composes himself. "If you were to join me you wouldn't need to stay this late doing work."

"So that's your deal."

I burst out laughing. "No, it would be worse!" He looks shocked. "I would probably have to stay all night to try to figure how am I gonna fix the club's financial situation."

His eyes show anger and his hands are clenched into fists.

"Do it, try to even touch me. That mere bump is gonna need stitches when I'm done with you."

"Nami!" A familiar bubbly voice gets my attention, "There you are."

We all look in the direction of the voice to see Mitsukuni.

He skips up to me. "Come on, I'll take you home." He takes my free hand in his.

I completely forget about the other three and nod, blushing.

"We'll see you guys tomorrow," he smiles at the trio but that smile hides a dark threat which they feel going by how pale they have become.

Mitsukuni takes me home but not before asking me about that encounter with those three while we are in his limo.

"I think they wanted me to join them." I stroke my chin, thinking.

"They what?!" He almost breaks the seat with his bare hands.

"At least that's what I could get from the few words he said," I shrug, "It's fine, I refused."

He holds my hands, "Kyo-chan was planning for all of us to confront them but I don't want you to be there!"

"I was gonna ask him if I could not be part of that, I don't want to see that guy's face," I blink surprised at his small outburst then I remember that guy's hands clenched into fists, "I think I made him angry."

He suddenly pulls me into his arms, "Don't worry about him, I'll protect you," he squeezes me tightly.

I feel my face about to combust from how close he is. His strong arms around me are driving me crazy. My mind wanders to how explicit this could get until he pulls away.

The next day we closed the club for guests so that the newspaper club could conduct their research without bothering the guests. Although, when they arrive, Tamaki decides to play a little commoner game that kids play. We're supposed to move when he's not looking and stop when he looks back at us.

"I feel like a weeping angel."

Like Haruhi, Takashi, and Kyoya I barely move. I stand next to Kyoya.

"Can I not be part of the confrontation?" I lower my voice to a mumble.

"I wasn't planning on letting you be part of it, to begin with," he whispers back as he moves forwards.

I stare at his back surprised.

"Well then, that solves my problem."

I move forward, once again next to him, "Thank you."

"Don't mention it," he pats my head like a child.

Tamaki yells at the twins that he saw them move but they deny it. He explains the reason for the game to the confused club. I tune them out.

"I'm not needed for this mess, that feels nice."

In the midst of my zoning out my mind wanders to Mitsukuni's strong arms and how much I want to be in them again.

"Good god, I have it bad."

I watch him play around with his bunny and Takashi.

"He's so cute yet so sexy when he wants to."

I snap out of it when I see the trio talking to Haruhi.

"She really wasn't paying attention to the no interview part huh."

Suddenly, the twins cut into that conversation and run away with her. Tamaki yells at them. They were supposed to cut Tamaki and Kyoya's interlocked pinkies.

"Chop." I do it instead.

"Thank you Nami, at least someone is paying attention!" Tamaki fumes.

The game changes up to kick the can and Kyoya is it! Tamaki kicks the can as hard as he can. We all scatter. I go into the rose maze behind Tamaki and Haruhi but I take a different turn which leads me into a nice little pond with a big tree casting a cozy shadow over part of the pond.

"This a nice place to take a nap in." I smile, looking around. "The tree looks nice for climbing," I look up at the tree. "Eh, why not?" I climb up the tree and take a seat on a thick branch not too far from the ground, "Now I wish I brought a book with me."

I spend the entire time trying to make some origami with the leaves of the trees but after being unsuccessful several times I decide to make leaf crowns instead. I don't know how long it's been, but it doesn't feel like much time has passed. Above me, I hear some birds chirp, making me lookup. There's a bird nest a few branches above me!

"Aww, that's cute," I smile, leaning against the trunk to admire them.

"You're cuter though," I hear a familiar voice below me.

I look down to see Mitsukuni, "Oh, is it over?"

He nods with a smile before stretching out his arms gesturing to jump. I jump down and he catches me effortlessly. In his arms, he spins me around making me giggle.

"They won't bother anyone ever again." He sets me down carefully. "Their club has been disbanded."

My eyes widen. "Really?"

"That didn't happen in the anime, did it?"

Something in his hands catches my attention. I take his hands and examine them. There are marks on them, and they're fresh.

"They look like nail marks, self-inflicted."

I look at him and see that he's looking away from me.

"Did he get angry in there? Better not mention it since he seems to be avoiding it."

In a bold moment, I interlock my fingers with his getting his attention, "Come on, everyone should be waiting for us." He nods dumbly with a blush spreading across his face.

We reunite with the rest and go back to the club room.

In the club room, the twins mention to me in secret that Mitsukuni was furious and had to be held back by Takashi. Kyoya was angry as well and with one single call, the newspaper club was shut down.

"What the hell happened in there?"

I try to ask them but they refuse to tell me. Normally I would try to get it out of them but the look in their eyes tells me I shouldn't. They hold anger.

"They weren't this angry in the original, what made the plot change again? Was it me again?"

As everyone prepares to leave Mitsukuni comes up to me.

"Since summer is coming, would-," his eyes shift everywhere nervously, "Would you like to travel to Switzerland with Takashi and me?"

I grin. "Sure, my passport should be up to date."

He gives me the biggest grin. "Don't worry about paying, my treat."

I chuckle. "Alright."

"Guess I'm going to Switzerland."
