Part 2!

Enjoy!

Change of Plans: Refreshing Contest!

I hear my phone go off, it's my text message sound. I see that it's Mitsukuni.

M-is there anything I could do to get points?

I stare at the phone screen in thought.

"What can he do?"

N-u could wait tables n use ur hosting abilities too

M- good idea!

I smile before putting my phone away. A few minutes later Mitsukuni shows up wearing a waiter outfit and holding a tray, surprising Kyoya in the process.

"Would the lady like a refill?" Mitsukuni smiles but not the usual smile he does with his guests, no, this smile is more seductive.

I feel my face get hotter, "I…um… yes."

He nods, still giving me that intoxicating smile, "As you wish," he turns back inside.

I notice that the pants accentuate his butt quite nicely.

"Oh my…I'm gonna enjoy this."

"I get the feeling you had something to do with that," Kyoya's voice snaps me out of my lusting gaze to look at him.

"Hm?" I smile innocently, "I don't know what you mean."

He shakes his head sighing, "If you say so."

A while later, after Mitsukuni brought me my tea refill and actually took Kyoya's order, Haruhi comes up to us. They talk about the contest and she's a little confused as to why he's not participating.

I giggle, "Can you actually picture our shadow king fixing a fence? He'd much rather have people do the hard physical work for him."

She holds her chin imagining the possibility and laughs a little, "Yeah, you're right."

He lightly taps my head with the student handbook as if I were a misbehaving child. "So, Haruhi, who's your favorite to win? I already know hers," he points at me with his thumb, "There must be someone you have in mind, care to make a bet?"

"No, thanks, I don't have a clue," Haruhi refuses without much thought.

"Really? It's easy to tell at a glance," he holds his chin with a secretive smile, "Honey-senpai's brand doesn't suit Misuzu's taste," he pauses, "Although with Nami's intervention that may have changed."

I sip my lemonade, "He asked for advice, and I gave it to him," I look at Mitsukuni who's inside serving the guests and making the ladies swoon with his new skill, "It was up to him on how to use the advice."

"I see," he chuckles, "Now Tamaki is closer to the ideal, of course, provided that he keeps his mouth shut," he sighs, "We know the likelihood of that happening."

"So the doppelgangers would be the likely winners, no?" I stir my lemonade with the straw.

"You would think that," he looks into the distance where Takashi is chopping logs, "But we have a dark horse."

"So Mori-senpai would win?" Haruhi guesses.

"He's the most likely to win out of everyone," Kyoya says, "But if Honey-senpai drops out he goes with him."

"Yep," I nod along, "They're a package if you think about it."

The twins suddenly show up, already claiming to win the contest. Haruhi at that moment explains to them that the bedroom only has a single bed but the twins assure her that they can just bring a bed from their cottage or just squeeze into the single.

I zone out, thinking of the possibility of seeing Mitsukuni in that waiter outfit again once school starts up again.

"What kind of theme could it be? The last time we used those uniforms was at the beginning of the year before the medical exam."

I zone back in to see Misuzu being disappointed by Tamaki's incredibly bad job at repairing that poor fence. Looking to the side I see the twins fooling around aesthetically with the water hose, making the guests swoon at their refreshing act. I notice Kyoya gets up and makes his way toward Tamaki.

"The shadow king makes his move."

I chuckle to myself and go back to drinking my tea peacefully.

As the sun starts to set the inn gets filled with the sound of Tamaki skillfully playing the piano. The beautiful music can be heard from outside. Mitsukuni joins me outside. With the music in the background, I can't help but feel the romance filling up the air as we sit alone, enjoying each other's company in silence.

"This is nice, despite the circumstances of this impromptu trip."

I lay my head on the table, enjoying the incoming breeze, and close my eyes. For a moment, I feel so relaxed that sleep begins creeping on me until I feel a gentle yet familiar hand running its fingers through my hair relaxing me even further.

I turn my head in the direction of the owner of the hand to confirm my assumption, and it is indeed Mitsukuni's hand. Me turning my head made him stop abruptly.

"Seems like I caught him off guard… I wonder."

He goes to remove his hand as a blush starts to spread across his face but I grab his hand and place it back on my head before whispering, "Go on."

His blush becomes more prominent but goes back to stroking my hair. As sleep once again comes to claim me, the sudden sound of glass breaking startles me awake. I sit up straight and look in the direction of the crash to see Kaoru on top of Haruhi as the voice of a girl shouting frantically fills the air. I get up and run to Haruhi to see the remnants of a flower vase shattered on the wooden porch along with its water.

"Are you okay?" I kneel down next to them.

"Yeah but Kaoru is-" Haruhi looks at the boy worried before getting cut off.

"Kaoru!" The scared voice of Hikaru gets our attention.

I help Haruhi stand up as Hikaru makes sure that his brother is okay. They share a tender moment as Misuzu suddenly cries out in pure delight giving them both a perfect score due to their tender brotherly love moment thus the winner is declared.

"Heh, I knew they were gonna win… but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed that my plan for Mistukuni didn't work."

I sigh before stretching. "I'm gonna go check on Tamaki." I start making my way inside.

"I'll go with you," Mitsukuni follows me.

Inside I see Tamaki slouched against the piano as if his soul left his body.

"Now now Tamaki," I approach him, "You'll have other opportunities to become part of Haruhi's top five."

He turns his head towards me, he looks like he has aged decades. I stagger back in shock at his sudden aging.

"Wow."

I sigh before patting his head comfortingly, "There there."

After a while, Kyoya pulls me off to the side, "Say Nami are you going to stay at the Haninozuka cottage tonight?" Kyoya fixes his glasses making them give off a gleam.

I eye him suspiciously," Yeah, why?"

He smirks, "Make sure to be responsible while alone with him."

I stare at him confused, "What do yo-," when the implications of his words hit me, "K-Kyoya it won't be like that!" I feel my face get hot as images of the possibility of sharing a bed with Mitsukuni flood my mind making me feel as if I'm about to combust.

He chuckles at the embarrassing state that he put me in.

"Ready to go Nami?" said topic of the teasing comes to us releasing me of Kyoya's torture.

"Yes!" I take his hand and hurriedly try to make my way out the door.

"Remember what I told you Nami!" Kyoya calls out as we walk out the door making me rush out the door even faster.

"That cheeky brat!"

We reach the cottage and the moment I step inside it gave me a homely feel. The cottage is not small but is not that big either considering the owners of it are practically aristocrats. It's probably big enough to fit the family along with a couple of house helpers.

"I'll be cooking for you tonight," Mistukuni proudly declares shocking me.

"You're cooking?" I stare at him, "By yourself?"

"Yep!" He nods with a big smile on his face, "So make yourself comfortable while I go make dinner for both of us," he says before excitedly skipping towards what I assume is the kitchen.

I stare in the direction he went unable to muster a word.

"Him? Cook? With no help?"

I take a seat on the sofa still in shock.

"He could barely cut a vegetable not too long ago! What do you mean he's gonna cook?!"

In the midst of me questioning the possibility of death by food poisoning, I hear the unmistakable sound of pots and pans clanging each other. With a deep breath, I peek into the kitchen quietly to see him on a stool getting things on top of the cupboards. I notice a piece of paper taped to one of the cupboard doors.

"Is that a recipe?"

I hear mumble names of ingredients while looking at the paper.

"That's actually kinda cute."

Deciding to trust him I go back to the sofa and wait for him to be done.

About an hour later he comes to get me. I now realize that he's wearing an apron that is covered in sauces stains, some fresh and some all dried up, and I think there's parsley on his hair.

"Dinner is served," He announces proudly before taking my hand and guiding me to the dining table.

I'm surprised by how good the dishes look and from the presentation, I can tell he tried very hard on them. He helps me take a seat like the gentleman that he is before taking a seat himself next to me.

"Thank you for the food," I mumble before taking a big bite of dinner, the flavor it packs is incredible as if the cook has been cooking for years! "Oh wow, this is amazing!"

His eyes widen," Really?"

I nod enthusiastically before taking another big bite.

He smiles brightly before starting to eat.

Overall it was a wonderful dinner and I'm pleasantly stuffed. Soon enough it was bedtime so he shows me to the room I will be sleeping in. The room is simple yet nicely decorated.

"There's a bathroom connected to this room," he points at the door across the room, "If you need anything, my room is next door."

I nod smiling, "Thank you."

"Sweet dreams Nami," he takes my hand and gives it a feather-light kiss while looking into my eyes.

Words get stuck in the back of my throat as I feel my heart start to rapidly beat, "S-sleep well," I manage to say.

He closes the door leaving me in a very flustered state.

"Oh…My…God…"

I gingerly caress the hand he kissed as I sit down on the bed, "Oh my," I fan myself to cool down.

After a while, I finally calm my heart down enough for me to do my nightly routine. Once I'm in bed I can't help but think about that kiss and how soft his lips felt against my skin. I cover my face with my hands flustered.

"I have it bad huh?" I chuckle, "Should I confess already?" I turn to my side before letting out a yawn, "But that's for morning me to deal with, now I wanna sleep," I close my eyes in an attempt to sleep.

I don't know how long it took for sleep to come but I get woken up by the loud voice of Tamaki and the door of the room opening.

"Rise and shine Nami, time t-" His enthusiastic morning call gets interrupted by me throwing one of my shoes at his head.
