(Sorry if I'm not writing this exactly as you would like. I'm trying my best. :) Enjoy! I own nothing but Lucy.)

...

"Quidditch!..Is easy enough to understand. Each team has seven players. Three Chasers, that's you Lucy, two beaters, one keeper and a seeker. That's you Harry. Follow so far?"

Oliver Wood chattered animatedly with the Twins as he took them out for their first run through on the game of Quidditch during third period.

Harry nodded his head. "I think so." He strained under the weight of a thick wooden trunk he was helping Oliver take out to the Quidditch field.

Lucy followed behind carrying two wooden bats.

"Good." Oliver smiled back at Lucy. "You can set those down there, Lu." He motioned randomly to the ground.

Lucy nodded and carefully laid her burdens down while Oliver opened the trunk.

Almost immediately the two balls strapped down on either side of the case started to bounce around violently causing the whole case to shake.

Lucy peered curiously at the different sized balls.

"There are three kinds of balls in Quidditch..this one is the Quaffle." Oliver tossed the biggest ball in the case to Lucy who caught it easily in both arms. It was surprisingly light weight for its size.

She smiled. "I like this ball." She tossed it to once to herself.

Oliver smiled back at her. "Good because as a chaser you'll be handling that ball the most. You're going to take it down the field..." He pointed across the Quidditch field.

"And shoot it into one of those three hoops for points. You understand?" He asked. Lucy nodded her head. "I think so." Oliver smiled.

"Now the Keeper, that's me, defends the hoops from other chasers. You with me so far, Harry?" He turned back towards Harry.

Harry nodded his head. "And what are those?" He asked looking down at the two smaller balls which were still struggling to break their bonds.

Oliver looked down. "Oh..those well...you're going to want to hold these." He gave a bat to each of the twins then bent down to undo the strap on one of the balls.

The ball shot up in the air at top speed as soon as it was set free. The Twins and Oliver looked up to follow it with their eyes.

"Careful now! It's coming back!" Oliver started to back up.

Lucy backed up too and tripped over the Quaffle landing on her rear just as Harry turned and swung the bat as hard as he could smashing it against the side of the ball.

Oliver looked impressed. "Hmm! Not bad Harry. You'd make a fair beater...All right there Lucy?" He nodded down at Lucy who was still on the ground.

Lucy nodded and started to pick herself up feeling a little embarrassed.

"Uh oh! Here it comes." Oliver widened his stance again then lunged to the side to grab the ball.

Harry and Lucy watched fascinated as Oliver wrestled around with the ball then finally managed to shove it back into the case.

"What was that?" asked Harry.

Oliver shrugged. "Bludger. Nasty little buggers." Lucy grinned a little at that. "But you Harry!..You're a seeker." He opened a secret hatch the Twins didn't know was in the trunk at first and took out a tiny golden ball with a small knob at either of its sides.

Harry grinned when he saw the ball. "The only thing I want you to worry about at the next game...is this." Oliver held out the ball to Harry. "The Golden Snitch."

Lucy's eyes widened. Whoa...

"Oh I like this ball!" said Harry taking the ball between his thumb and forefinger. Oliver smiled at that.

"Ah you like it now. Just wait! It's wicked fast and da** near impossible to see." Harry admired the golden shine on the ball. "Well...what do I do with it?" He asked.

Oliver shrugged. "You catch it..before the other team seeker catches it. If you catch this the game is over...You catch it Potter, and we win."

Harry grinned at that.

...

"So?" Ron pursued Harry and Lucy as they walked together with Hermione down to the Charms classroom.

"So?..What?" asked Harry. "So..how was Quidditch? Are you excited about your first game?" Harry shrugged. "I don't know..I guess I am. Lucy's job seems a lot easier than mine though."

Lucy gave him a look. "How is that so? I have to dodge all the other chasers and the bludger to get to the goal post. All you have to do is catch a little flying ball to end the game." She teased slightly.

Harry rolled his eyes. "Ha ha. Well at least the Quaffle doesn't fly around the field at blinding speeds." He retorted. Ron sighed at that.

"Oh go on Harry! It'll be great! You'll see! I can't wait to see you two play!" Ron bubbled excited as the four of them entered the classroom together. Lucy smiled slightly at that.

"Hi Lucy!..Want to sit with me for Charms class?" A girl Lucy remembered was in her Potions class before waved to her from near the front of the room.

Lucy hesitated slightly, but when she saw Hermione going to sit with Ron and Harry sitting with Seamus she nodded her head.

"Okay. Sure." She slid into the seat next to the girl. Harry looked over and exchanged smiles with her.

"I'm Parvati." The girl smiled at Lucy. "I'm a twin too, you know. My sister's in Ravenclaw." She introduced herself. Lucy smiled back. "It's nice to meet you Parvati."

"Ah-hem!" Professor Flitwick called for attention at the front of the room. "Greetings everyone! Let's get right to work shall we?" Lucy smiled brightly at him and took out her wand from her bag.

"Now one of the wizard's most rudimentary skills is levitation! The ability to make objects levitate or fly! Now does everyone have a feather?" Professor Flitwick peered around the room.

Hermione smiled and held up her feather. "Oh good! Good! Now remember that nice wrist movement we've been practicing. The swish and flick! Everyone?" Professor Flitwick raised his wand.

The first years all copied his movement. "Swish and flick!"

"Good Good!" Professor Flitwick praised his students. "And now annunciate!...Wingardium Leviosa. If you speak unclearly the spell will not go through. Now off you go then! Help your partners as you go."

Professor Flitwick steadied himself on the stack of books he was standing on.

Lucy stared down at her feather. "Wingardium Leviosa." She chanted, but the feather didn't levitate.

"Wing...Wingardium LevioSA!" She tried again. Still her feather refused to budge. She looked around for a bit and saw that Parvati was having trouble too. In fact the whole class was struggling with making the levitation spell go through.

Even Malfoy who Lucy figured out rather quickly was someone who liked to show off a lot.

Lucy watched as Professor Flitwick corrected a student's wrist movement.

"No stop stop stop! You're going to take someone's eye out!" Hermione reached out and stopped Ron's wand arm as he started to get frustrated.

Lucy looked over her shoulder at them. "And besides you're saying it wrong. It's LeviOsa. Not LevioSA." Hermione corrected her partner.

Ron looked annoyed. "Oh you do it then if you're so clever! Go on! Go on!" He dropped his wand on his desk.

Hermione rolled her eyes. "Very well." She picked up her hand and poised it over her feather. "Wingardium Leviosa!"

Her feather shuddered then slowly and gracefully it lifted into the air. Lucy gasped as the rest of the class stopped what they were doing to watch.

Professor Flitwick clapped his little hands together. "Oh well done! Splendid work Ms. Granger!" Hermione smiled pleased with herself.

"Oh! Now you see? Miss Granger has done it and so can all of you if you put your minds to it! Back to work now! Back to work!"

Ron sunk lower into his seat. Lucy could tell he was really annoyed at how Hermione had shown him up.

She turned back towards her own feather and concentrated for a minute. Annunciate. She reminded herself. It's Wingardium LeviOsa. LeviOsa!...She repeated the word to herself.

"Wingardium LeviOsa!" Lucy pronounced again making sure to speak each syllable clearly and distinctly. Her feather gave a little jiggle then lifted itself into the air briefly.

Professor Flitwick beamed at her.

"Oh! Well done Miss Potter! Well done! Try holding the spell for a little longer next time." Lucy smiled modestly at him.

She turned to exchange glances with Hermione and Hermione smiled back.

*BOOM!* Professor Flitwick nearly tipped backwards off the stack of books he was standing on when Seamus made his feather explode.

Harry stared shocked at the blackened remains of his feather. "Um..I think we're going to need another feather here, Professor."

...

Lucy waited for Hermione to finish packing up when Charms class ended for the day. Harry, Ron and Seamus ran out ahead of them to be first in line for lunch.

"Nice work today." Lucy told Hermione as Hermione picked up her messenger bag. Hermione shrugged at her. "Thanks. It was nothing though. I see you got your feather to levitate for a little bit."

Lucy nodded her head. "Yeah...but it was a little harder than I expected. Did you see Malfoy?" She asked.

Hermione shook her head. "No, what was Malfoy doing?" She asked as the two girls got outside together.

Lucy started to explain.

"...it's LeviOsa! Not LevioSA! Oh God she's a nightmare! Did you hear her?" Ron groaned as he imitated Hermione's voice. Hermione went a little rigid as she and Lucy walked after them in the hall.

Harry and Seamus both laughed at Ron's impersonation.

"Yeah I felt kinda sorry for you mate." Seamus nudged Ron with his elbow playfully. Ron snorted. "Honestly! Is it really a wonder she doesn't have any friends?"

Hermione gasped at that. Tears came to her eyes, but before Lucy could try to comfort her, she ran through the crowd, purposefully bumping into Ron as she fled into the Girls Bathroom.

Harry and the others stopped walking when they saw her. "I think she heard you." Harry murmured uneasily. Lucy clenched her her jaw and stomped over to the group.

"Of course she heard you!...We all heard you!..What a beastly thing to say about her Ron Weasley!..She was only trying to help! Besides you're all wrong about her!" She screamed scaring the boys.

Ron looked scared for his life. "Oh..oh yeah?...How so?" He stammered trying to hold his ground. Lucy glared back at him. "Because I'm her friend!" She snapped turning around to go after Hermione.

The boys stared after her. "She's scary." Seamus mumbled. Harry shook his head.
