(Next Chapter (Finally! Right?) Sorry I don't update frequently. I wish I could on all my stories, but my ideas just don't come to me that quickly. Hope you enjoy this next update. I own nothing but Lucy.)

...

"Lucy, what are you doing? It's almost supper time. Aren't you hungry?" Hermione cocked an eyebrow at her friend as she walked by the library carting her trunk behind her.

Lucy sighed slightly before shutting the book she was reading with a loud slam. "Well I was trying to find something about Nicholas Flamel." She frowned and set the book aside.

"So far no luck.

Hermione stared at the stack on her right.

"Um well you can always look again tomorrow. I want to see the boys before I leave." She shuffled her weight from one foot to the other.

Lucy licked her lips.

"All right. Can you help me put these back?" She got up from the table she was using with an armload of books in her arms.

Hermione nodded at the other half of the stack. "Sure." She grabbed the rest of the books and turned to follow her friend.

Lucy turned to smile at Hermione until she ran headfirst into someone with a very hard chest. "Hey!" A familiar voice snapped as Lucy fell hard to the ground rear end first.

Malfoy glared down at her.

"Watch where you're going Potter!" He spat her last name as if it were the name of the most vile person on earth.

Lucy clenched her jaw. "Sorry." She muttered while slowly picking herself up from the ground. Malfoy sniffed at her.

"Yeah you should be! Stay out of my way or else!" He kicked her books across the floor then made his way out of the library.

Hermione glowered after him. "Bloody Git." She muttered under his breath. "You okay Lucy?" She softened her voice and bent to help her friend up.

Lucy just nodded her head. "Yeah I'm fine...He's probably just mad about Slytherin losing still." She muttered, dusting off her robes as she got back onto her feet.

Hermione smiled and started to answer her when they heard a yelp and firecrackers started going off in the outside corridor.

"Ahhhh!" Lucy and Hermione jumped and almost tripped over the scattered books on the floor when Malfoy bolted across the Library Entrance heading in the opposite direction from whence he went.

His eyes were as big as saucers as was his mouth and he kept tripping over the front of his long robes as he tried to get away from the barrage of firecrackers pursuing him.

Lucy realized they were shaped like little dragons and grinned just as the Weasley Twins showed up behind them in stitches.

"What the...?" Hermione looked bewilderedly at the Twins who . "What did you do two do to him?" She asked with a scowl printed across her face.

Fred just shrugged. "Just taught the little bugger a little lesson." He grinned while ruffling up Hermione's hair a bit. George laughed.

"Yeah! I reckon now he'll think twice before treating our star chaser like that again. Right Lu?" He put his arm around Lucy's shoulders making her blush.

Lucy grinned impishly at him. "You better not let Angelina Johnson hear you say that." She joked, causing Fred and George to chuckle.

"Why not? She knows how we feel. Doesn't she Fred?" George winked at his brother before moving his hand to the top of Lucy's head.

"Right George." Fred grinned before flicking Hermione playfully under her nose to make her blink.

"Oh!" Hermione let out a gasp. "Oh for Pete's sake! The train leaves at 6:00. Can we please get going before I miss my transportation home?" She whined, starting to pout when the Twins laughed at the expression on her face.

Lucy suddenly pulled away from George. "That's right! Hermione leaves for the winter holiday today! We need to go find the boys and tell them what we found!" She broke into a run down the hallway.

Hermione hurried after her.

"Hey! Wait for us!" The Twins followed.

...

"Ron, it's your move." Harry muttered as he stared the pieces he had left on the chessboard.

Ron merely smiled and nodded at his Queen. "Queen to E-5." Harry sighed as the White Queen stood from her throne, moved towards his last pawn and struck it from the board with the legs of her throne.

"Oh! That's totally barbaric!" Hermione exclaimed, wrinkling her nose with disgust as she came up with Lucy from the Corridor.

Ron just shrugged. "That's wizard's chess. I see you've packed." He noted, glancing at Hermione's trunk. Hermione raised her chin.

"I see you haven't. Aren't you leaving to spend Christmas with your family?" She asked.

Ron shook his head." Change of plans. My parents decided to go to Romania to visit my brother Charlie. He's studying dragons there." He explained proudly.

Lucy smiled. "That sounds amazing. Does he get to work with real dragons there?" She asked curiously.

Ron shrugged. "I guess so. Wanna have a go next Lucy? I've almost beaten Harry again." He invited motioning to the chess board.

Lucy turned hesitant. "Um..maybe later. What have you guys found so far about Nicholas Flamel?" she asked making sure to keep her voice down so she wouldn't be overheard.

Harry frowned at the chessboard. "Nothing and we've searched at least a dozen times through the periodicals. What about you two?" he asked looking up to meet his Twin's identical green eyes.

Lucy shook her head. "Nothing, but Hermione and I agreed that we'll both keep researching until she gets back from the holidays. Either of you care to join me in the library tomorrow after breakfast?" She plopped down at the table next to Harry with a smile.

Ron pulled a face at her. "Are you kidding me? We've all looked at least a hundred times in there!" He protested. Hermione shook her head.

"Not in the restricted section you haven't. Happy Christmas." She smiled wryly before heading for the door.

Lucy smiled back at her. "Happy Christmas Hermione." She waved while Harry and Ron exchanged surprised glances with each other.

"I think we've been a bad influence on her." Ron murmured. Lucy rolled her eyes.

...

"Wake up!...Harry wake up! It's Christmas!" Ron burst into the room before Harry had a chance to rub the sleep from his eyes.

"It's wha?..." Harry blinked sleepily from between the covers as he scrambled to find his glasses on the bedside table.

Ron jumped on the bed. "It's Christmas Harry! Come on! Let's get back to the common room and wake Lucy so we can open presents! We all got lots!" He thumped back down to the floor.

Harry blinked at him. "I..I have presents?..Lucy too?" He asked eagerness showing in his tone.

Ron nodded his head. "Yeah! Come on and see!" He motioned with his arm before quickly disappearing out the door.

Harry hurried to follow him.

"Oh!..Happy Christmas Harry!" Lucy smiled sleepily up at her brother from one of the many couches in the Gryffindor common room.

She laughed when one of the Weasley Twins stuck a gift bow in her hair and he laughed with her. Harry laughed too.

"Happy Christmas." He smiled back at his twin before taking the stairs two at a time to get to the common room.

Ron was already down there on his hands and knees in front of the Christmas Tree groping around as if hoping to find one more shiny package with his name on it.

"Um Ron? What is that you're wearing?" Harry asked with a curious wrinkle of his nose when he finally made it down to the main floor.

Ron looked down at his sweater just as his older brothers starting a wrapping paper fight.

"Oh. My Mum made it for me. For all of us actually." He nodded towards the Weasley Twins and ducked, dodging a badly made wrapping paper ball.

Harry chuckled. "Oh. That's nice. I wonder what I got?" He leaned over to examine all the remaining packages under the tree and spotted one with Lucy's name on it.

"Hey Lu! This one's for you!" Harry called pulling out the parcel to give to his sister as Lucy hopped off the couch.

"For me? Who's it from?" She asked going to sit next to her brother. Harry shrugged. "I don't know. Why don't you open it?" He suggested smiling as he turned to look under the tree again.

Lucy smiled back though it didn't quite reach her eyes. She started to untie the ribbon and stopped, feeling a sudden twinge of nervousness inside her.

Fred and George soon noticed that something was amiss and stopped throwing wrapping paper around.

"Something wrong Lu?" Fred asked as he came to sit down next to her. George joined them from behind her.

"No." Lucy shook her head. "it's just, I've never gotten a real present before." She admitted shamefully without looking up to meet anyone's eyes.

Harry frowned and turned to share a sympathetic look with Lucy as the Weasley Twins shared stunned glances.

"Never?" Fred asked as if to clarify. Lucy shook her head. "Not unless you count the dirty handkerchief I got from Aunt Petunia on my last birthday or the book with missing pages I got the year before." She frowned and stared at her unopened Christmas present.

"I guess the book wasn't too bad, but there was just so many missing parts I never got the whole story." She muttered blinking back the tears.

George pulled her into a backwards hug. "Hey, I'm sure whatever's in this package is a thousand times better than whatever your Aunt's got you. Come on. What say we open it? I could help you with the wrappings." He offered as he reached over to grab the package.

Lucy grabbed it back. "Hey! Give that back!" She laughed pulling away from George a bit so she could lift away the wrapping paper.

A few minutes later, Lucy lifted out a large hand knit sweater much like the one Ron was wearing except this one was white with a Gold L stitched the middle instead of an R.

Harry and the Weasley Twins grinned at the smile that stretched across Lucy's thin little face.

"You got a Weasley Sweater!" Ron exclaimed smiling as he climbed over piles of discarded wrapping paper.

Lucy nodded. "It's lovely." She said not noticing the looks the Weasley Twins exchanged with each other.

"Erm..I guess it is." Ron shrugged as he leaned back to examine Lucy's sweater. "Looks like Mum might have overestimated on your size a bit though." He frowned as Lucy held up the sweater against her chest.

The younger Potter Twin shrugged. "It's okay. I'll grow into it." She smiled before pulling the sweater on over her head.

Harry laughed as he opened a package that contained a sweater just like Lucy's except his had an H stitched to the front.

"Excuse me!" Lucy climbed eagerly over her brother's lap to get back to the Christmas tree and Harry playfully stuck out his tongue at the back of her head, knowing she'd get him back for it later since he couldn't hide anything from his sister.

"Hey! I got another one from Hermione!" Lucy squealed as she crawled back out from under the tree holding another small parcel under her arm.

Harry raised his eyebrows excitedly as Lucy sat down next to him to open her next present. "Really? What did she get you?" He leaned over Lucy's shoulder as she tore open the wrappings with all the excitement of a child.

"A book!" Lucy exclaimed rocking back against her heels as she threw aside the wrapping paper. "Hogwarts A History!"

Harry laughed. "Don't you have that book?" He asked climbing over her lap to look under the tree again.

Lucy shook her head and flipped through the book. "No, I was borrowing Hermione's. Oh this is great! It's in mint condition too!" She showed off the front cover of the book.

Fred and George laughed. "Only Lu and Hermione would get excited about a book." Fred joked as he and George gathered up the wrapping paper from the floor.

Lucy rolled her eyes. "And only boys would have more fun with the wrapping paper then they do with their actual presents." She joked getting up go sit on the sofa again as Harry opened another present.

The Twins retaliated by throwing some more wrapping paper at Lucy's head and Lucy giggled as she ducked unsuccessfully to avoid being hit.

Harry gasped as he pulled out a book about Quidditch from his next package sent to him by Hermione. It had a thick shiny cover with a moving picture of a Quidditch Player on it flying after the golden snitch.

Harry smiled and softly stroked the cover. He wasn't as avid a reader as Lucy was, but he still he couldn't wait to read a little from this book.

Perhaps there were some tips about seeking that might be useful for the next match.

"Ugh! What is this doing here? Someone's idea of joke?" Fred wrinkled his nose as he lifted a pair of badly wrapped old yellowed socks from under the tree.

Harry groaned inwardly and leaned forward to grab the unsightly parcel before Fred could pass it on to George.

"Give it here! Those are probably from my Uncle Vernon." He muttered as he peeled away what was left of the newspaper that the Dursleys had used to wrap the gift.

Fred made a sour face at the socks. "Boy, guess Lu wasn't kidding after all. What did they send her?" He ducked back under the tree.

Lucy bit her lip as Fred came back up a few minutes later holding a moldy mound of newspapers that was wrapped around a worn out change purse.

Fred turned green at the object but Lucy grabbed it from him and peeled away the newspapers before anyone could say anything. It looked even worse without the wrappings.

The purse had mold stuck to it on all the sides and it smelled like Aunt Petunia had dropped it into the toilet before wrapping it up for Lucy. Plus there were holes all over the bottom.

Surprised? Harry arched an eyebrow at Lucy as the Twins made throw up noises beside them.

Lucy shook her head. Sadly no. Do you think we should send them a thank you card? She joked weakly as she gingerly set her new change purse aside on the ground.

Harry snorted at the idea. Yeah right. They'd probably burn it. He laughed inwardly. Lucy let out a laugh.

"What's so funny?

George patted Lucy on the back as he leaned over to see what she was laughing at. Lucy shook her head. "Nothing. Just a Twin thing." She glanced back at Harry.

George smiled slightly at her. "Oh...well I'm sorry about your gift." He glanced at the moldy change purse and grimaced.

Lucy shrugged it off. "It's okay. We're used to it by now." She grinned as she reached for a pile of wrapping paper.

She threw it at George and he blinked right before it hit him in the face.

"Oh...it's on." George grinned and reached for the dirty newspaper Harry's socks came in on the ground. Lucy moved to grab the wrappings that came with her purse, but this time she wasn't fast enough.

"Nope! Too slow Potter!" Fred came up behind her and tackled her to the ground, laughing as he kept her arms pinned between his.

Lucy let out a squeal and elbowed him in the ribs, but Fred wasn't as ticklish as she was.

"Ahhh! Harry help!" Lucy screamed, laughing when George pelted her with the newspaper wrappings.

Harry laughed and got up to join in on the play fight, but then George pulled a piece of wrapping paper from under his foot and Harry lost his balance.

"Hey Harry!" Ron crawled back from under the tree again and pulled out another package from under the branches.

"Look! It looks like you and Lucy got another present!" He shook the package around a bit before holding it out to Harry.

Fred got off of Lucy as Harry got up to retrieve the package. "What is it?" He asked while Lucy caught her breath.

Harry shrugged as he felt around the parcel. "I'm not sure." He murmured just as his finger hit against a hard piece of parchment.

Lucy crawled over and took the card from him. "Your Father kept this in my possession before he died...It is time it was returned to you. Use it well." She read and glanced back at the strange misshapen package.

"Use it well? What does that mean?" Harry wondered. Lucy shrugged and reached for the package. "I don't know. There's no signature. Let's open it and see." She suggested with a wide grin plastered to her face.

Harry returned the grin and began to rip open the wrapping paper. Lucy reached to help and got to the item inside before her brother could.

"What is that?" asked Ron as Lucy let the long piece of fabric unravel itself to the ground. Harry gave the object a closer look. "It looks like a...cloak." He murmured.

Lucy frowned. "But...it's too big for either of us now." She seemed disappointed, but Ron rolled his eyes. "Oh come off it! Let's see how two would look in it. Go on! One of you put it on!" He urged.

Harry and Lucy exchanged glances. After a minute, Harry grabbed the cloak from his sister and carefully slipped it on over his shoulders.

Lucy gasped. "Harry!"

"What?" Harry looked down to see what was wrong. "Hey! My body's gone!" He gasped. Ron jumped up from the floor.

"Whoa!..I know what that is! It's an invisibility cloak! They're supposed to be really rare!" His eyes gleamed as he walked around Harry.

Lucy put her hand over her mouth. "Wicked." The Weasley Twins exchanged grins with each other as Lucy continued to stare at her brother.

"Harry...I think you should take that off now." She said a bit nervously as Harry started to twirl around in his cloak to amuse Ron.

"Why?" Harry stopped twirling for a minute. "This cloak makes me invisible. Isn't that wicked Lucy?" He grinned.

Lucy slowly nodded her head. "Yes, but they told us to use it well. I think we should put it away until we really need it." She bent to look at the card again.

Harry started to nod. "I suppose..Wait!...I think I know how we can use this to our advantage!" He grinned as he shuffled across the floor to his sister.

Lucy raised an eyebrow at him. "What do you mean?" She asked. Harry smiled. "Remember our assignment from Hermione?" He asked.

Lucy nodded her head. "Yes, but we haven't found anything in the library and students aren't allowed in the-..." She trailed off suddenly realizing what her brother was getting at.

Oh no!... She shook her head at him.

Harry nodded his back.

Oh..yes!
