It was a usual morning at the Bakugou household; Loud.

"WHAT?!"

And full of cursing. For once, however, it was not the son's fault.

"DAMN FUCKING RIGHT WE'LL BE RIGHT THERE!"

14-year-old Katsuki groaned and tried to cover his head with his pillow as he heard his mother call his father and scramble to get ready. Maybe he could fake being exhausted and get out of whatever shit he was in.

"You'd think I'd be used to it by now..." A fair voice groaned.

Katsuki's burgundy eyes widened when he realized he wasn't alone in his bed. With a roll of his eyes, he turned to see a certain blonde girl with yellow eyes and fangs smiling at him.

"Mornin' Kaachan..." She cooed, batting her eyes at him.

"Hime, what the fuck are you doing in my room?" Katsuki growled, but if you looked past his pillow, you'd notice a smirk.

"Missed you." The girl smiled, running a hand through his hair after laying back down beside him. "It gets lonely in that room, and I wanted to wish you a good morning on your last day of Junior High."

"Not like it matters, I finished that shit weeks ago," Katsuki smirked, rising up and getting out of bed. "Welp, no use hiding in here if you're here, the old hag'll notice."

Himiko giggled as she sat up herself, showing she was only wearing a loose-fitting pink top and white panties with hearts on them.

"...Do ya mind?" Katsuki asked, midway through taking off his shirt,

"Nope!" She beamed, loving the view.

"Kami, you are such a pain in the ass." Katsuki sighed as he grabbed a new shirt.

"That's not what you whispered last night..." Himiko Toga cooed, making Katsuki smirk and grunt when she took a small bite of his shoulder. A little bit of blood filled her mouth. "Mmmm…Spicy."

In spite of it all, Katsuki simply smiled. While he had never found Izuku, the explosive blonde considered finding Himiko an unexpected blessing:

While coverage of the lab was quickly pushed away in favor of the brutal massacre that had come from it, Himiko ended up making front-page news when she explained what had been going on and how she had come to be there: Her parents had sent her there to be 'fixed'; her Quirk, [Transform], required blood and whenever she went without it, her mental state would deteriorate.

What to the public was a correctional facility was actually a front for training children with dangerous Quirks to become either hired mercenaries or shoe-ins for certain Hero Sidekicks, the hoped goal that these sidekicks would provide funding and support down the line. Himiko's Quirk had been 'fixed' but in a way that nobody could have fathomed.

Her Quirk had evolved due to the experiments she was put through. It had now been dubbed [Blacklight], allowing her to manipulate her own biomass for a variety of feats such as shapeshifting her body into weapons or other people so long as she had absorbed a bit of their DNA beforehand.

She also revealed that she had been given a secondary Quirk called [Animorph], which allowed her to transform parts of or her entire body into any animal from the animal kingdom and harness their traits and abilities as well.

She was going to be put through a rather strenuous ordeal to see if she could assimilate even more Quirks into her body. Thankfully, she had been spared of that burden, thanks in part to the brave actions of a boy who snuck her out at the cost of his own freedom and regardless of the torture he would endure:

Izuku Midoriya, who had also given her his one possession; an All-Might action figure.

While the press relayed most of her story, they were careful to avoid mentioning the Firestarter, instead claiming her savior was among the many dead at the site. Couldn't risk a villain looking more heroic, after all.

Himiko's parents found themselves under arrest for child neglect and abuse, and their now former 'daughter', she refused to associate with them, was adopted into the Bakugo family. She still held a craving for blood but it was now under manageable levels; Masaru had managed to strike up a deal with a blood bank that would allow Himiko to sample blood that was about to expire on a weekly basis. It wasn't the tastiest or most legal option, but it worked.

Since then, Himiko had become determined to become a Hero to honor the boy who rescued her as well as to stand by Katsuki, who she had fallen in love with as they had gotten to live with each other.

"KATSUKI!" Masaru shouted.

This got the two blondes' attention. Mitsuki shouting? Nothing new. But Masaru, AKA the only sane person in the house? Did Hell freeze over? If not, then whatever happened what serious.

"WHATEVER THEY SAID I DID, I DIDN'T DO SHIT!" Katsuki snapped on relfex, but he went ignored.

"THEY FOUND IZUKU!"

No sooner had he said this, the man found his son and the girl they had taken in at the door, already dressed and ready.

"Take me to him...NOW."

Mitsuki and Masaru hurried. They knew their son well enough to know that when he was like this, it meant he was at his most dangerous if he was not given exactly what he requested…..Unless Himiko was there to calm him down.

A half-hour later, the Bakugo family found themselves in the presence of UA Principal Nedzu's family, where they were greeted by a familiar face:

A freckled, green-eyed, green-haired boy. A boy who had been on their minds ever he had since been kidnapped all those years ago. However, he looked different from the last time they saw him.

Green draconic scales decorated his cheeks, arms, legs, and hands, the latter of which had now smooth claws instead of nails. A pair of jagged horns jutted from his fluffy viridian hair, his eyes were reptilian slits, and his teeth were razor-sharp fangs.

"Izuku?" The beautiful brunette woman that was Nedzu's wife cooed. "Do you remember these faces?"

"K-Kaachan?" He asked.

Katsuki's eyes watered

"I haven't heard that for years...!"

"Kaachan...?" Izuku asked again, not sure if what he saw was real, especially since the Katsuki he knew had never cried.

The Bakugou family rushed to hug the green-haired boy but were met with a glass barrier.

"What the fuck is...?!" Katsuki demanded.

"Izuku is not yet used to physical contact," Mamako sadly explained, recalling how the boy had screamed in terror when Recovery Girl had changed his bandages: It had taken Midnight and her Quirk, [Somnambulist], to calm him down.

Katsuki had settled for placing a hand on the glass, with Izuku copying him. The blonde couldn't help but slightly admire the new badass look his friend had gotten.

"Damn, you're a fuckin' Dragon now, Deku..."

Izuku managed a chuckle

"I haven't heard that in years…"

"What exactly happened to him?" Mitsuki asked, far quieter than usual. Mamako, fighting tears in her eyes, handed the blonde woman the boy's file. There was not a dry eye in the room and the Bakugos had emptied their stomachs before things were done.

Himiko had stayed in the back, not sure how to approach or even speak to the boy who had snuck her out of the lab, only to endure such horrific treatment in her steed.

She fiddled with the sleeves of her sweater when she heard something fall behind her. Glancing behind her, she saw the All-Might toy that had saved her life. Steeling herself, she picked it up and stepped forward, showing it to Izuku.

"D-do you remember me?" She asked, praying to kami he would not be angry with her: All those years away would no doubt kill some kindness in his heart…But when Izuku's eyes filled with tears and a smile overtook his face, she realized she had nothing to fear.

"Thank Kami...You got out safely!" The boy said, clearing his eyes and nose.

That damn broke in Toga's eyes and she cried as she repeated her boyfriend's action, the two whisperings "thank you" over and over.

As the tearful reunions went on, Nezu appeared before a mass of reporters.

"Thank you all for coming on such short notice." He began, much delight in his tone. He was sure to get on the Commission's bad side for this, but he didn't care. Besides, if they did do anything after this press release? The total slaves to PR that they were they'd cause so many problems for themselves down the line!

Not to say they wouldn't interfere in some way; Nezu was not ignorant of that. But he'd already calculated their possible actions and was prepared. Now, time to get things rolling. After taking a sip of tea, the unidentifiable mammal began his speech.

"UA has been at the forefront of producing Heroes since the hero occupation began. Our Alumni speak for themselves and showcase what we do. But I ask you today, ladies and gentlemen of the press...what about those who have the skills, but do not have a voice or are given no proper choice?"

The reporters seemed confused by this question but listened in with intent, wanting to soak up every word.

"The lab incident of three years ago and the rise of villains shows us something very wrong is at the forefront of the world we live in. Even with our great Symbol of Peace and the other Top 10 heroes, there are those we cannot always save. There are those who are denied the chance to try to become heroes due to circumstances, their blood, or other matters. These voiceless individuals often find themselves forced into villainy, and few of them have Quirks that would've made them grand heroes. This is a fact and something you are all quite used to. But a hero works toward making sure injustices are prevented in the future. As the top Hero school in Japan, it only makes sense for UA to do just that, is it not?"

A few reporters and viewers began to get an inkling of what Nezu was up to.

"That is why; effective the new school year, UA shall be starting a new curriculum: Sanctuary. This program will take in those of outstanding talent/ potential but with legal troubles and guide them towards the path of heroism, or should that not be possible rehabilitation."

The reporters began to howl their questions, but the principal continued.

"Before anyone asks, yes, we at UA are aware of the risk we are taking by enacting such a program. Therefore, the students within this program will be housed in an on-campus dormitory, and a three-strikes system will be in place to expel any who fail to fall in line with the UA guidelines...pending investigations to make sure their actions do warrant expulsion so that UA will not ever have to say it truly created a villain by not investigating properly. However, as long as they are on campus, under the eye of a UA staff member or an approved hero, these students cannot be persecuted, arrested or so much as glared at."

Nezu then took a sip of tea and smiled.

"I must depart now, but in order to answer the obvious questions: The identities of the students in Class S will not be available to the public until the Sports Festival. They will be under the supervision of Hound Dog, the school guidance counselor, along with my wife, Mamako. And most have already moved into their dormitory. Good day."

Toshinori Yagi, who not many knew was Japan's Symbol of Peace, All-Might, was nervous. Nedzu had opted for him to meet one of the first students enrolled in his new Sanctuary curriculum. The infamous Firestarter, Izuku Midoriya.

Toshinori had always been an empathetic sort. He had even been at the boy's trial that day while incognito. The sheer hate and scorn the boy got for something he had no control over broke the man's heart. Then the child was kidnapped, and from the files he had been given, subjected to torturous experiments that would otherwise have driven any ordinary person to insanity or death.

Toshinori kicked himself for not doing anything to find the boy sooner. He had been one of the few Pros who had been actively searching for him when nobody else would or even wanted to. He honestly was surprised when All for One, the very man who took away his beloved mentor and mother-figure, was the one to save the boy from eternal suffering as he turned out to be his grandson, considering he and Nedzu had done extensive investigation on the Midoriya Family.

Honestly, seeing that the monster that haunts his dreams genuinely cared for his grandson so much, a tiny part of Toshinori felt slightly bad for caving his face in on that fateful day. However, the bad he had done greatly outweighed the good.

But that was then.

Today it was the here and now and Toshinori was about to come face-to-face with the boy he should have done everything in his power to keep safe from the abuse and torture he had to endure for two whole years.

"Izuku, my boy, you'll be excited to know who wants to meet you," Nedzu said as he and his wife led Izuku into the teacher's lounge. The draconic boy was looking greatly nervous before seeing the blonde hero before him.

"A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-ALL-MIGHT?!"

"IN THE FLESH YOUNG MIDORIYA!" All-Might shouted bombastically then demurely spoke, "May we speak together? I hope that wasn't too loud."

Izuku was gaping like a fish as the man he idolized above all else was right in front of him. Mamako giggled at just how adorable the boy was acting right now while Nedzu chuckled.

"You see, Izuku, All-Might wishes to talk to you. He insisted that he be allowed to."

Still in a shocked state, Izuku nodded and took a seat while the Symbol of Peace followed in suit.

"Young Midoriya, I'd first like to apologize for not doing enough to find you. You suffered so much in those two years, and you had to be rescued by a notorious villain when all of us seasoned Pros were unable to." All-Might said with remorse as he bowed his head. "I also want to know that, yes, I do know that the villain who saved you is your grandfather...and I would like to further apologize for the fact that I killed him..."

"I-It's okay...I never really knew him, anyway..." Izuku said. "I-I didn't even know he was the one who healed me until Nedzu-Sensei told me..."

"Still, to come out of all that with your sanity intact. And the fact that you survived having your original Quirk awakened and a second Quirk implanted in you is a testament to how strong you are."

"It would have been better if they just killed me and got it over with..." Izuku said bitterly, bringing his knees to his face. "I can't be a Hero, I'm a killer."

"No Young Midoriya, you are a child," the blonde hero rested his large hand on Izuku's shuddering shoulder. "A lost child, one who had an unforeseen accident and is beating himself up over it."

"So WHAT?!" Izuku roared, hot tears streaming down his scaled cheeks and turning to steam. "I killed all those people, they died! My neighbors? Dead! The nice man at the corner store down the block that had discounted ice cream in the summer? Dead! The family of cats that lived in the park? Dead! My parents? Dead! I did that, me! I'm a monster! I deserved everything they did to me!"

"Oh, Izuku..." Mamako whispered, covering her mouth with tears in her eyes as All-Might and Nedzu solemnly listened to Izuku's rant.

"I SHOULD beat myself up over it, I don't deserve to be a Hero!" Izuku screamed, flames, lightning, and ice surging from his body. "I lost control and people died because of it!"

"Just like you are doing now?"

Izuku blinked and noticed the elements around him, he hiccuped as he forced them to die down.

"I…I'm sorry, I can't..."

All-Might stood up from his seat and got down on one knee, pulling the hurting boy into a hug. Izuku tensed for a moment and began to squirm, but then stopped and actually felt the embrace; warm, patient, caring…

"Yes, you can. Young Midoriya, I believe that you can become a hero, you just need someone to help guide you, if you would like, I could be that someone."

"Me too," Mamako spoke, Izuku separating from All-Might as she pulled him into a hug as well.

"As will I," Nedzu added. "That is why Sanctuary has been made. To help you and all those like you who have had nobody to turn to. People with Quirks they can't control, people who were rejected by society for situations they had no say in, and people who have been judged for their connections. We are here to provide a sanctuary for you all to heal and nurture as well as support each other.

"W-why me though," Izuku rubbed his nose. "Why should I get a second chance?"

"It's not a second chance," All-Might shook his head. "You never even got the first chance, so please, let us help you."

"Your friend, Katsuki, he looked for you. He never STOPPED looking for you. You were...ARE his friend and he wasn't going to abandon you." Nedzu informed. "And that girl, Himiko, you saved her from becoming another of your grandfather's twisted experiments. You ARE a Hero, Izuku. You already are to them both."

All-Might then coughed into his fist, releasing Izuku from his embrace before becoming engulfed in a puff of smoke. Izuku's eyes widened when he saw a scrawny skeletal man who barely fit the hero costume that once fit firmly on his muscular build.

"I guess I also should tell you about this as well." Toshinori sighed as Izuku was left flabbergasted once more. "In my fight against your Grandpa, I suffered a severe wound that destroyed one of my lungs and badly pulped my stomach. As a result, I can only be All-Might for three hours at a time."

"But...how did this happen? Is this part of your Quirk?"

"In a way, yes. You see, my boy, I was Quirkless when I was born. I was given a Quirk by my master, Nana Shimura. I have since passed that same Quirk onto my niece, who is going to be attending Sanctuary in order to help master the power she now wields."

"What is the name of the Quirk?" Izuku asked, ever the nerd to know about every new power he discovered.

Toshinori chuckled, admiring the boy's excitement. "The name of the sacred torch I inherited and have now passed on...is [One for All]!"

Devil Dragon Stand Knight A/N:

And so the second chapter is done. Izuku has reunited with the Bakugous as well as Himiko Toga, the girl he helped escape from the facility. He also has an emotional moment with All-Might because I needed to have some Dad-Might in this fic.

In the next chapter, Izuku and Himiko will get to meet their new classmates in Sanctuary and learn about each other along the way. Friendships will be formed, tears will be shed, and laughs will be had.

Also, as I have just hinted, Melissa Shield is the one to inherit One for All instead of Izuku, considering she's the safest option. Her stay at Sanctuary is mostly to keep the power of One for All safe so she can properly train and harness it without risk to herself, as well as keep her safe from All for One and his spies.

Alright, Mrotrax. Your turn.

Mrotrax A/N

I teared up as I read over this. Bravo, DDSK. Bravo. Take the night and tomorrow off; you've earned it.

While Mamako will still be Class S's Team Mom, I am so happy we have included Dad-Might into this story; his role was limited in the previous versions and honestly, I was worried that without his viewpoint he might've gotten to see this is not the case. And while I should've seen this coming, I am happy to see All Might still sees Izuku as Izuku and not Shigaraki.

And as you readers can see, Izuku's. trauma is sadly on display…but we're already working towards changing it. As stated above, laughs will be had and we are working on incorporating some humor in most chapters just so that the story doesn't get too heavy.

So, next time we will see the other Class S students. Most will be similar to the rosters in previous versions, but this time, we're getting an entire class right off the bat. To which I am honestly glad, me limiting it to 13 at the beginning in hindsight was a dumb idea (what school in their right mind would allow such a thing?

As usual, read and review, would ye kindly?
