Sancutary Meets 1A
Katsuki honestly felt on Cloud 9 now. He had managed to ace the Entrance Exam, coming in first with 77 Villain Points and 32 Rescue Points, managing to beat out the old record held by All-Might when he was a student at UA.
He had since gotten to know the rest of his class. So far, he had hit it off with an excitable boy who could harden his body called Eijirou Kirishima, a guy who honestly reminded him of Pikachu from Pokemon named Denki Kaminari, and a chubby-cheeked girl with brown hair named Ochako Uraraka, who he had also helped at the Entrance Exam along with a boy who looked like he desperately needed sleep named Hitoshi Shinsho.
"I hope Deku and Himiko-Hime are doing okay in their class.
It had been a day since he had started at UA and so far, he had been acing everything thrown at him. He had to breeze through it, after all. He had to be able to stand by Deku and Himiko.
In many other universes, he would have pushed people away with his normally abrasive and cocky attitude. But the experiences he went through in this universe taught him patience, humility, and empathy. It seemed to help in impressing his homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa, who just so happened to also be the Erasure Hero: Eraserhead.
"If only Deku were here right now. He knows more about that hobo than me."
Thankfully, Katsuki would be getting his wish very soon as All-Might himself had stepped in to begin their first official class of Heroics 101. The Symbol of Peace declared that Class 1-A would be doing a joint venture with the students of Class Sanctuary in hopes that bonds could be formed.
"Now, please do be mindful as some of the students of Sanctuary have trust issues with anyone that is not their own class. Some also have deep-rooted trauma and PTSD as well. I hope all of you treat them with the utmost respect." All-Might said, his usual jovial voice taking on a sterner tone.
"If any of you have any problems with certain students, take them up with me, All-Might, the principal, or the teachers of Sanctuary. We don't want needless antagonism." Aizawa added.
The students of Class 1-A nodded but said nothing as they readied to put on their costumes for the first time, eager to learn under the number one hero.
Katsuki huffed. If even ONE person in this class stepped out of line, he was going to make it his personal mission to destroy them. He would not let Deku suffer anymore nor would he let Himiko be threatened.
"The only ones I can safely trust are Round-Face, that Four-Eyed ass-kisser, Shitty Hair, Pikachu, and that rock-headed kid that talks to birds." The explosive boy thought to himself, before an odd thought came to him,"….Can that guy even talk?"
"Well, I hope you kids are ready!" Mamako said with a bright smile. "We're going to be training with Hero Course Class 1-A today!"
"Alright! Hero Training!" Luz cheered, pumping her fist in the air as she was joined by Spinel, Melissa, and Michiru.
"I-I hope we can impress our peers...I-I don't want to make a bad impression, then they'll hate me..." Crona muttered nervously. Izuku was acting similarly but moved to gently pat Crona on the back.
"I need to look my best for them," Emi said, combing her hair. "They can't see the real me...well, not yet, anyway."
"That and its common courtesy to always look to impress," Amity added.
"Let's get this show on the road then." Sho sighed.
"Hope they got some manly fighters." Akira mused, glancing down at his uniform. "I need a reason for this to rip."
Class Sanctuary had opted to go with the standard-issue UA Gym Uniforms for right now. All of them had been custom-tailored to suit their appearances, Quirks, and other traits.
"Man, it sucks we don't have our own Hero Costumes..." Android 21 bemoaned, her tail swishing back and forth.
"I hear that!" Nui added, producing a sketchbook. "I have so many ideas…But NON! 'We can't be trusted yet!'"
"Maybe when we prove ourselves, we'll be able to get our own," Nazuna suggested.
"I'm okay with this, to be honest. I don't even know what my costume would be." Amity confessed.
"Me neither." Lucy said.
"I do." Sho, a rare smile on his face as he pulled up a picture on his phone: It was of his brother Shinra in his firefighting uniform, but edited so that the colors were now red and white instead of black and yellow. "And so does Izuku."
The Firestarter tensed in embarrassment before showcasing his own hero costume. At least, that had been the plan.
"AHAHAHAH! CLASS SANCTUARY...! IS HERE!" All-Might announced as the class stepped into the training gym. Himiko beamed and waved to Katsuki when she saw him as he smirked and waved back at her before giving a knowing look to Izuku, who smiled and nodded back at him.
"Alright! We're all here!" Mamako said, her infectious smile managing to affect some of 1-A. "Today, we'll be working on sparring so that we can all understand each other's skills and where we can improve ourselves."
"I would have gone for Hero vs Villain Mock Trials but Oosuki-San wanted us to start off basic," All-Might said. "And to be honest, I think her idea is better."
The more he thought about it, All-Might realized this really was the best way to get class introductions done: If they did mock battles, even if it was random, the Sanctuary kids would no doubt feel insulted if/when they played villains.
"If anybody in either class has any problems, please speak now," Aizawa said sternly, noticing that Izuku was getting some weary looks and one hateful glare. "I don't want this affecting anybody's performance."
Before anyone could say anything, however, an elated blur zipped towards 1-A;
"KATSUKI!" Himiko beamed as she leaped into her boyfriend's arms, delighting as he spun her around and they kissed. Many of the girls squealed at the romantic display, and Class Sanctuary smiled.
Katsuki then took his childhood friend into a warm hug, gently patting his shoulder. While Izuku winced, he did return the hug and pat.
"You doing, okay?" The bomber asked in a whisper.
"More or less." Izuku confessed
"That's right, we've heard the story over and over again!" Spinel suddenly began to sing as she flipped over to the trio. "Gee, it's swell to finally meet Izu and Himi's other friend!"
The other Sanctuary kids smiled at the scene and gave Katsuki their own little salutes and thumbs up. Unknown to the bomber, his act and smiles killed most of the antsiness his classmates felt, and Class 1A began to converse.
"I really dig her horns!" A pink-skinned girl with black eyes and amber irises named Mina Ashido said as she pointed at Lucy and gestured to her own rubbery horns. "Look, Kiri! We got a new Horn Buddy!"
Lucy looked surprised that her horns, which had earned her scorn in her childhood, were being praised by somebody for once. She didn't know how to feel as her pale cheeks glowed a warm pink.
"Y-you….You like my horns?" She asked, shocked.
"Heck yeah!" Ejiro Kirishima, or 'Shitty Hair' as Katsuki called him, beamed, stopping when he saw Akira, who, for such a stoic fella, suddenly blushed and pointed to the three spikes of hair on his head.
"Well…these spikes ain't actually hair." The tallest boy admitted. "They're part of my skull."
"I have horns, too…" Izuku pointed out shyly.
"COOL!" Mina and Kirishima beamed, with Shouji also appearing interested. Akira smirked while Izuku tensed with his eyes widening, but hints of an actual smile crossed his face.
Meanwhile, an error was occurring in Lucy. EXE: This whole situation she was in? Having people outside of Sanctuary like her? It did not compute! It could not compute! Her horns had proven she was a monster. They were the reason she grew up bullied and loathed…. why she had lost the one thing she truly loved. Despite her confusion, she was enjoying this feeling. Dare she think it? She liked these two.
Suddenly a change overtook Lucy: Her normally stoic and framed eyes widened and began to shine as a smile overtook her face and her form became a wee bit hunched.
"Nyu! Nyuuuuuuu!"
"Aww, Nyu-chan!" Class Sanctuary cooed, with Spinel even rushing to hug the now adorable Lucy, who nuzzled into the pink-skinned girl's cheek before waving at Mina and Kirishima.
"Lucy suffers from Disassociated Personality Disorder." Mamako explained. " 'Nyu' here is the embodiment of all the joy and positive emotions in her life. It's very rare to see her come out."
With that tidbit alone, many began to dread learning what kind of hell Lucy had gone through.
"Will that affect her performance?" Aizawa asked.
"Not really." Izuku explained. "Lucy IS the stronger personality…"
"Hell, Lucy's probably the strongest girl in the class, period." Roromiya mused, ignoring Mineta's perverse chuckle.
"Debatable." 21 pointed out. "But Nah; you got nothing to worry about, bum-sensei. Nyu can fight just as well."
Before Aizawa could correct the pink-skinned girl who tuned him out to converse with Mina while pulling Ulqiorra inwards…
"Why is that girl naked?" Ulquiorra asked suddenly, grinding all sound to a halt.
…
…
"W-what?" All Might, Mamako and Aizawa asked.
"I can see souls." Ulquiorra explained. "Those floating gloves…Why are they all she is wearing?"
"Y-you can see me?!" Tooru Hagakure asked
"LUCKY BASTARD!" Mineta roared, only for his rant to be subdued by an enraged:
"NON! NON! NON! NON!" Nui shouted as she marched over to Momo Yayorozu, giving her revealing costume a look over. "What is this? What are you wearing? Are you trying to copy my sisters? If so, then I am sorry, not sorry, because THEY can make the half-naked look work! You…you're too nice looking!"
Momo blushed at Nui's words.
"Well, my Quirk requires my skin to be…."
Nui was now looking over all of Class 1A's costumes. And suffice to say, she was not impressed:
"Skintight?! Yellow?! What is this, the 1960s?! A plain white shirt and pants with ice? A copy of Ingenium's costume?!"
"He's my brother…" Iida Tenya started before he was cut off.
"Mon deui, is that a DIAPER you're wearing?!" Nui roared, making many cower. "Alright! Minus earlobe girl, Kiri, Himiko's boyfriend and tape boy….DISAPPOINTING! And above all things, if nothing else…NO CAPES!"
"W-what about a scarf?" Izuku asked shyly.
"Oh, those are fine." The fashionista whipped out her phone and dialed a number. "Hello, Edna? Yeah, it's me, Nui. YES! Lovely to hear from you too! Urg, I'm trying, that's actually why I'm calling, think you can squeeze in…..sixteen UA students?"
"Nui-chan." Mamako said, raising a finger.
"Cancel that, Edna." Nui groaned on the phone. "Well of course I'm keeping MY appointment! See you then! Byeeeeee!"
She then put her phone away, not even fighting when Masato took it from her and handed it to his mother.
"You'll get it back at the end of the day." Mamako said before turning to the tallest albino in her class. "And Ulquiorra? Remember what we said about boundaries and timing?"
Ulquiorra said nothing but bowed in Tooru's direction as Masato stood forward.
"I am so sorry. They're still learning." He explained, only for Ida and Momo to wave off his apologies.
"No, not a problem!" Ida was quick to point out. "They're merely stating their opinions and asking questions."
"And Nui DOES give me something to think about…" Momo added, realizing that maybe her costume was too revealing.
Suddenly, a squeal erupted from a very unlikely source; Kyoka Jiro, the one girl whose costume Nui liked.
"Y-you're THE LEGENDARY TAE YAMADA!" The music-loving heroine in training gasped. "And you're THE Nazuna! W-why are…how did…I'm sorry, I'm sorry…I'm a huge fan!"
A shy blush covered Jiro's face as she produced a notepad and pen.
"Could I….?"
"Of course!" Nazuna beamed. Tae groaned with a smile as she followed Nazuna's example.
"Um…I don't know if this is something to point out, but…" Izuku mentioned. "But Amity and Luz made a few songs as well…."
The adorable couple blushed at Izuku's mention of their songs and their blushes turned nuclear when Himiko and Yuno began to play both songs from their phones. As it turns out, they were VERY beloved among the students, who soon began to ask Amity and Luz for autographs as well.
Said couple gave Izuku a playful look as Himiko and Yuno surrendered their phones.
"Um..I…I don't know how to handle this…But I'm also not worried." Crona pointed out to Izuku, the smallest hints of a smile crossing their face. "I-is that okay?"
"Damn right it is….I want to say 'non-binary'?" Katsuki smirked. Crona just tilted their head in confusion before Nyu made her way and nuzzled their chin.
Seeing this, the teachers were filled with hope and pride in their students. It was almost a scene to cut these interactions short, but they did have a schedule to keep.
Unfortunately, not everything was positive...
"Are we all just going to pretend it's not a joke that UA let a murderer into its student body?"
Aizawa zoned in on the one who spoke; Oujiro Maishirao, a boy with blonde hair and a Mutant-type Quirk that gave him a thick tail that he could use as a fifth limb. He was quite an adept martial artist and his tail helped enhance that talent.
"Would you care to repeat that?" Aizawa said calmly as he noticed out of the corner of his eye how Izuku flinched.
"You heard what I said," Oujiro said, hatred steeped in his voice. "That guy killed how many thousands of people and what, UA just lets him in?"
Katsuki instinctively knew that Oujiro was talking about Izuku, telling from the subtle glares he gave the dragon-scaled boy. Letting Himiko go, he stepped forward, the explosive blonde prepared to throw hands.
"Do you want to fucking die, Monkey Boy?"
"Oh, that's good, the murderer surrounds himself with more violent thugs. I'm ready to fight whenever you are, it'd be more than he gave my aunt and uncle." Ojiro accused Izuku.
"He-hey man, you can't just go around accusing people like that!" Ejirou said, trying to play peacekeeper.
"No," Izuku stopped him as he kept his gaze on Ojiro. "He's right, those people died because of me...if it makes you feel better you can hit me, you wouldn't be the first."
"Izuku, no..." Melissa said in worry as she moved to hold him back.
"I've been beaten too many times to count. One more beating isn't gonna hurt." Izuku said calmly as he stepped forward, but those who had known him the longest could tell his shoulders were shaking.
"Wait, what's going on here?" Mineta asked wearily as the dragon boy took a deep breath.
"I'm Izuku Midoriya, the Musutafu Firestarter!" Izuku shouted so that everyone could hear him. "When my Quirk awoke, it nearly burned down an entire city, and three-thousand four-hundred and ninety-five people died, my parents among them. Untold damage to property and thousands more injured and their lives ruined."
"Damn..." Kyouka grimaced and whistled.
"Hey! My parents got a lot of work when you….!" Ochako pointed out before realizing what she said might have been insensitive. "Oh, sorry...I-I didn't mean to offend you."
Izuku looked at Ochako and a small glow of pink washed over his freckled cheeks but he looked away. This did not go unnoticed by their classmates or teachers, but before anyone could coo?
Ojiro scowled and stepped forward.
"He's the reason my aunt, uncle, and so many innocent people died, he needs to be stopped!" The tailed boy snapped. "My aunt was expecting her baby that day!"
Aizawa glared at his student. "And you think you're the one to do it? That boy has been through Hell on Earth that I don't think you fully understand."
"Maybe he should have stayed in that Hell!" Oujiro growled as Katsuki snarled and stepped in front of him.
"Take back what you said, motherfucker!"
Izuku looked down, his fists clenched and shaking as Melissa, Himiko, and Masato moved to watch over him while the rest of Sanctuary got on guard. Mamako bit her lip in concern while Hound Dog growled in annoyance.
"Why should I? He's a monster that needs to be put down!" Ojiro replied. "The only reason he's not in jail is that he's so dangerous."
"He's not in jail because he didn't do anything wrong!" Katsuki shouted.
"He killed all those people!"
"It was a fucking accident!" Katsuki grit his teeth, explosions crackling in his hands.
"He's the poster child for putting down people with uncontrollable Quirks!" Ojiro shot back, his tail poised to strike. Unknown to him, Nyu suddenly snapped back into Lucy, who glared at him with all the hate in her form.
"You come near Deku and I will fucking end you! Laws be damned!" Katsuki spat, just inches away from blasting Ojiro's head off.
"Enough!" Izuku shouted as he stepped forward, walking up to Oujiro with a stoic empty expression. "If he wants to kill me so badly, I'll come to him."
"Damn that boy and his self-esteem...!" All-Might cursed in his head.
"You want to take a crack at the uncontrollable murderer?" Izuku asked Ojiro calmly. "Well, here's your chance, I will not move, I will not use either of my Quirks, take your best shot."
"How dare you," Ojiro seethed as he felt as if the killer of his aunt, uncle, and unborn cousin was mocking him.
"How dare I?" Izuku asked in confusion. "You're in a position that others would kill for. I don't see what the issue is. You want this, I'm giving it to you."
"Izu! Don't do it!" Crona called out as Ragnarok came out of their shoulder.
"Yeah, Greenie! Don't let that asshat get to you!"
Izuku turned to his classmates and sighed. "Guys, I need to do this...trust me..."
"Deku, I swear to God, listen to your classmates or I'm killing you myself!" Katsuki snarled but everyone knew he was only saying so out of concern for his friend.
"ENOUGH!" All-Might snapped, shocking everyone with how angry the normally jovial and kind Symbol of Peace sounded. "Izuku, you will do no such thing! Rejoin your classmates!"
"But..." The draconic boy started, only to wince when All-Might pointed to the others.
"Now."
Upon hearing the stern voice of the #1 Pro Hero in a manner akin to a father corraling his misbehaving child, Izuku bowed his head and stepped back into the crowd of his class, all of them giving him space.
"Young Bakugou, I appreciate you wanting to protect your friend but...there will always be people who resent him for his past," All-Might told Katsuki softly as the explosive blonde scowled before walking over to the Sanctuary Class, Himiko hugging him as he did so.
Then, All-Might turned his attention to Ojiro, the tailed boy now feeling very small in the Symbol of Peace's presence as he sighed before putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Young Ojiro, I nor anyone can bring back those lost, but I assure you, no one, on this earth, wishes he could more than that young man," All-Might said, gesturing to Izuku, who looked away sorrowfully as Katsuki was doing his best to comfort him. "It sounds crazy but, he was four years old. Think about that, what was the biggest concern you had when you were four, some scary monster in your closet, not finding your favorite toy."
Ojiro frowned. something that All-Might picked up on as he softly shook his head.
"I'm not trying to make you feel insignificant, but that young man at four years old destroyed so many lives by pure accident. His biggest nightmare was seeing his parent's charred corpses as they screamed and burned to death in front of him, hearing the agony and flames consume the city around him."
Ojiro's frown fell as he tried to wrap his head around that fact. Off to the side, that memory played in Izuku's mind and tears began to well up.
'It's okay baby, mommy's here….'
'We're here, kiddo…!'
Still, he saw nothing but love in his parents' eyes as they burnt away. Akira hurried to hug his classmate, shushing his cries as he fought back a similar memory.
"Having that then shoved in your face at a farce of a trial, having the media follow and publish every detail, for the entire country to know who you were," All-Might said, recalling that bitter trial personally himself. "No child is equipped to handle all of that."
"All-Might..." Oujiro began but the look All-Might gave him halted his words.
"Afterward, Pro Heroes had to drastically increase patrols in the area around where Young Midoriya was living, because almost every night someone or some group would attempt to break in and murder him in his sleep."
The students of Class 1-A were shocked at what they were hearing. They had heard the news about the Firestarter Incident, and many had mixed feelings regarding Izuku. Some were wary of the power he had, some pitied his situation, and the others didn't really know how to properly feel. But hearing the whole details from All-Might, the #1 Pro Hero and Symbol of Peace himself was too surreal an experience.
The students of Sanctuary looked at Izuku with sympathy. They already knew the story from him after he had felt comfortable enough to tell them, but it still stung all the same to hear it.
"I personally caught a few members of the Yakuza who had been hired by suffering families to KILL him on his way home from school, because they were that angry at him. Young Midoriya was not joking when he said some people would kill to be given an opportunity like that. Is that the kind of person you are?" All-Might asked, his electric blue eyes narrowing at Ojiro as he felt the whole weight of the Symbol of Peace's words on him.
Katsuki bit his lip. He remembered one such experience a month before Izuku was kidnapped by the facility. A trio of Yakuza who called themselves the 'Trash Trio' had tried to hold him down and have one of their members eat him! The bombastic bomber still had nightmares about that day.
"And that's not all. Those who still hated him for what he did wanted revenge on him so much, that they kidnapped him and experimented on him like a lab rat. They beat him, burned him, drowned him, every possible form of torture you can imagine, they inflicted upon him. He was even RAPED! Several times! He was no older than nine when they did that to him..."
All-Might's fists shook, he still recalled needing to contain his anger when he read that part of the file he had gotten.
As for Ojiro, he began to shake as he was utterly incapable of understanding the reality of Izuku's life. "
"But he….! I have to, sir," he stammered out a reply.
"It's best you sit this class out, Young Oujiro." All-Might sighed sadly. "It's going to take you some time to grasp this."
"Alright, with that all out of the way..." Aizawa said, glad that drama was over. "Who wants to go first?"
Izuku, wiping his tears and thanking Akira, shyly raised his hand, followed by Ochako. Both of them locked eyes and realized they had held up their hands at the same time. Both looked away with blushes on their cheeks as the girls in 1-A plus everyone in Sanctuary noticed.
"Oooooh~! Could we be looking at a potential interclass couple?!" Mina excitedly giggled as she turned to Momo.
"We never know. We'll just have to wait and see."
"But still...Midoriya went through all that and came out sane...I gotta respect that." Eijirou said, feeling empathy for the Dragon-Scaled Boy.
Class Sanctuary was reacting similarly.
"I do believe this is what is called….a ship?" Penny asked with a dorky smile on her face. Michiru and Nazuna were barely holding in squeals.
"…What do boats have to do with bonds?" Ulquiorra asked.
"You're asking the wrong guy." Akira mused.
"We've got to get you two up to speed on Teen and internet culture." Enrico sighed.
"I feel like shipping them. Are we shipping them? We're shipping them." Luz hurriedly said.
"Darn tooting!" Himiko and Yuno added.
Meanwhile, Izuku and Ochako bowed to each other, their shy smiles never leaving as their spar began, with Izuku winning easily.
"Well, you are Bakugo's best friend…" Ochako mused with a smile. "So….Izuku, is it?"
The dragon boy nodded.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Ochako Uraraka and I look forward to working with you!" She beamed.
Now, an error occurred in Izuku. Exe.
"Um...Dah...Blah... Pretty...Nice...Why...?" The Firestarter mumbled in a fluster before turning to his childhood friend. "Ka-chan, HELP! IZU CONFUUUUUUSED!"
Katsuki and Himiko simply laughed their asses off.
"Oh, that is just adorable." Emi cooed, Hana nodding in agreement
After the class had ended, many in Class 1-A and Sanctuary had managed to strike up friendships with each other. Mina and Eijirou happily indoctrinated Lucy, Akira, and Ulquiorra into their 'Horn Buddy Squad' while Michiru and Nazuna managed to befriend the timid rock-headed boy named Kouji Kouda.
A buff boy with thick lips named Rikidou Sato gladly traded cookie recipes with Nui and Android 21, even promising to join them in baking for both their classes. A frog-like girl named Tsuyu Asui felt a kindred spirit with Tae, finding her to be a friendly and welcoming presence despite the eccentrics brought upon by her zombie-like brain.
Akira had managed to make small talk with Shouji. Spinel managed to make Tooru laugh while a Yuuga Aoyama admired the upside-down heart-shaped gem on her chest that was part of her genetic mutation.
"Damn, so many gorgeous girls in the Sanctuary Class!" Minoru said, drooling. "How's a guy to choose?"
"Taken!" 21, Nazuna and Amity called out, pulling Ulqiorra, Michiru, and Luz into an embrace.
"Me too." Yuno said, producing a picture of her beloved Yuki.
"Um...what about me?" Crona asked, having been busy trading poetry with a raven-headed boy named Fumikage Tokoyami, who had been moved to tears by their poem.
"Uh...I guess you're not too bad yourself." Minoru said, giving a thumbs-up as Crona blushed in response.
Sho noticed Oujiro had left the class as they all began mingling. The ones who had also noticed were Luz, Amity, and Masato.
"He has a lot to think about, huh?" The former White Clad asked.
"Yup..." Masato groaned. "But he'll have to do it on his own."
Meanwhile, Seras, spying Izuku had wandered off by himself and found him sitting alone and staring at the sky.
"Hey….You…you going be okay, Izu?" Seras asked Izuku as he sighed, looking down.
"Yeah...It still hurts, you know?" Izuku said.
Seras nodded, hugging Izuku close. "Trust me, It hurts for all of us when we lose somebody we love...but we can't just give up because it's hard. We need to stick it out and help those we can still save."
Izuku smiled, wiping a few stray tears from his eyes with his claws.
"Sides…that cutie Ochako seems to like you." Seras smirked, delighting when Izuku's face broke into a blush and he began to stutter. Luckily, he was spared from any teasing when Denki got the idea to go get McDonald's together to celebrate the two classes' budding friendship.
Except for Ojiro, who was sent to detention, all agreed.
Unknown Location
Tomura Shigaraki had been watching the entire exercise. Before Izuku had been left at UA, Ujiko had managed to sneak a camera into one of Izuku's eyes on the ground of giving All for One as close as a view into his grandson's life.
Now that All for One no longer eyes, however….Moving on!
As much as he hated people, Tomura was happy to see his pseudo nephew surrounded by people who not only cared for him and were strong, but most of them had backstories that provided plenty of fuel for the 'Anti Hero Society' speeches he used to attract fodder to the League.
He had been surprised by two students in particular, however:
Melissa Shield was not something he had been expecting; the daughter of a Nobel-winning scientist who had been All Might's sidekick? It made sense that the object of his hate would choose his niece to follow in his footsteps…Heck, it was kind of fitting. What Tomura could not get over, however, was how and why the hell was she so hot?!
Then there was….Hana. His big sister. Who he had decomposed the day he awakened his Quirk. His second accidental victim. The girl who had his back…until the bastard whose sperm had created them caught them looking at a picture of their hero grandma.
How in the hell had she slipped through Ujiko's grasp?! HOW WAS SHE EVEN ALIVE?! Why was she with All Might of all people? These questions drove the decomposer mad in both anger and in sadness; a part of him wanted his sister on his side
Maybe she still could….
But right now? Neither of them mattered. Not even All Might mattered.
"I know, Tomura. That fool's voice is grating…." All for One said over the computer, having heard Tomura's angry growls.
"It's not All Might who's pissing me off. Hell, it's not even seeing Hana after all these years!" Tomura snarled as he scratched his neck. "THAT….THAT TAILED FUCK!"
Tomura had only felt this level of hatred for his father…. hell, he could see a lot of Tenko in this tailed punk: Arrogant, petty, thinking his suffering entitled him to whatever he wanted, and being willing to hurt others for getting in his way?
If All for One still had eyes, he'd have blinked in surprise. He had not been expecting this….But in a way, this was a wonderful development: Anything to keep Tomura from falling into the situation he'd had with his brother with Hana.
"I see." The legendary supervillain realized. "This is good, Tomura. While destruction itself will get attention, this? This is very good! Use this hatred in your next mission."
"You mean….?" Tomura asked.
"Yes. You may, no. are required to do that boy harm."
Tomura smiled under his mask/
"Well then, you'll be happy to see this." Ujiko said as he motioned something inside:
A hulking brute of blackened muscles, wearing only ripped shorts. The top of its head exposed a brain that was accompanied by a beak.
"Mid-End Nomu. Created exclusively for All Might in his prime. The strongest of his level and easiest to control. He's all yours for the mission."
If only Tomura was aware of the history this Nomu had with Izuku….
Musutafu News Station
Editor in Chief's Office
"That's right! Not only is All Might teaching at UA, but now that the school year's started, we can finally see these 'Sanctuary' kids! You get the scoop and your pretty little ass is on the news hour desk! See ya tomorrow!"
Kishi Toyama, The head of Musutafu News Station was a man who cared less about reporting the truth and more about selling papers so that he could enjoy the life he currently had: Sipping expensive drinks, smoking Cuban cigars…if he had to omit certain details to enjoy this? So be it. He suspected a few of the Sanctuary kids' identities. If he could spill this story, not only would sales skyrocket, but he'd go down in history for preventing these villains in the making.
The man was so relaxed and content, that he failed to notice someone else was in the room, a trowel in their hand and standing completely still, staring at him without so much as making a sound.
Such a good mood he was in, that Kishi decided to take a little nap. The bourbon in his hand probably helped as well. Making his way, he failed to notice someone following him in silence.
Opening the door to his bedroom, Kishi was surprised when he saw something on his bed: A paper? He didn't recall leaving such a thing there…What was it, anyway? He took another sip from his drink and removed the elastic and scanned the contents.
His eyes widened and the relaxation he'd felt from that drink left. His glass fell and shattered to the floor.
"H-how…?" He asked. No one alive, aside from him, knew about this! And he made damn sure to destroy…..!
An inhuman animalistic scream filled the air and rendered Kishi's hand from his arm. Before he realized what was going on, his head was split open, and he fell to the ground, bleeding and gasping.
"Wha-? H-Help-!" Kishi gasped out, reaching out to try and escape.
His assailant didn't give him the chance as they slammed their weapon onto his face several more times until it was a bloody mess. They tossed the trowel away and panted in anger and disgust, but also elation.
"One down."
The killer then picked up the paper and unfolded it, using it to make a trail leading to the room. The headline read:
FIRESTARTER MISSING
Attached to it was a cheque worth several million and a sticky note with the word 'Thanks' on it. Next to that, the picture of a younger man and an older woman; a mother and son no doubt.
The killer then returned to the room and unzipped their jacket, producing a file, sheer, several rolls of duct tape, and a self-made laptop.
"Now for the scene."
Devil Dragon Stand Knight A/N:
Well, this was a pretty bittersweet chapter all in all. Izuku had to face someone who still holds a grudge toward him. However, Dad-Might is there to step in and remind everyone that Izuku suffered just as much.
Sorry, we couldn't see any action between Class 1-A and Sanctuary but I felt like it would be better if we eased into things before setting up all the crazy stuff.
Anyway, the next chapter will involve some fluff between the kids of Sanctuary as they make it their mission to protect Izuku and a few of the students of Class 1-A are there to share the same sentiment. Though there will be some dark bits as we prepare for the infamous USJ Incident.
Alright, all yours, Mrotrax!
Mrotrax A/N:
Please forgive the delay in this upload; sickness kept me bedridden yesterday.
Onto the chapter itself, this was indeed probably the most emotional chapter this far. Hopefully the interactions weighed out the negative and were in good taste/timing.
Now you as you can Stain is not the only person to open up people's eyes in this story; we're bringing in The Riddler form 2020's the Batman into this story as a major antagonist. His motives have changed slightly, but he's still the creepy genius we love to wince around and he's got connections to Sancutary and another major MHA villain
Hope you enjoy! And now for a little deleted bit before sighing off.
OMAKE: BLADES AND BABE'S MOUTHS
Izuku turned to his classmates and sighed. "Guys, I need to do this...trust me..."
"Deku, I swear to God, listen to your classmates or I'm killing you myself!" Katsuki snarled but everyone knew he was only saying so out of concern for his friend. He went ignored however, as Izuku handed Ojiro a very familiar blade.
"Wha…?" Yuno gasped, quickly checking before roaring. "SON OF A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN STOLE MY KNIFE!"
Everyone gave her a confused look.
"…What? No lady who birthed Izu could've been a….you know what."
"A bitch?" Spinel asked innocently, making everything gasp.
"ALRIGHT, WHO DIRITED SPINEL'S TONGUE!?" Akira and Masato roared.
Crona, an uncharcteristically angry frown on their face, willed Ragnarok out.
"Hey, what's got you into yo..?!" The Black Blood manifestation snapped before he realized all of his classmates were glaring at him. It quickly dawned on him what was going on. "Oh…Um, w-wait! Any harm on me happens to Crona!"
"Its okay guys." Crona said, a rare smirk on their face. "I DO know how to handle pain."
The class then jumped onto Ragnaork, and in a cartoonish cloud of violence from which Crona was surprisingly not badly hurt, they mad ehim oay before continuing on.
