Civilians had been evacuated out of the stadium, leaving only the Pro Heroes on the scene, the Sanctuary kids, and Class 1-A and 1-B to handle the terrified Jinko Wangei, the explosive collar on his neck primed to explode, and The Riddler communicating with them on the Jumbotron.
"What do you mean by...Unmask?" Amity asked.
"Something we can do together, okay?" The Riddler said, despite the mask covering his face, they could tell he was grinning in delight. "I've been trying to reach you all, ever since your principal funded your class. After all, you're all part of this too."
"How are we a part of this?" Akira coldly asked.
"You'll see..." The Riddler then moved his finger across a phone and the Jumbotron showed a Follower's comments channel on the side. What they were commenting on wasn't very flattering for the HPSC President.
'Do it for the people!'
'Down with the Committee!'
'Blow him up already!'
'Riddler's da bomb!'
"These are my followers. They're here to watch our little trial." Riddler said. "At the moment, the man you're facing, Jinko Wangei, the CEO of the Heroic Public Safety Committee, the people who keep watch over this heroic society...is dead!"
"SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! THIS PSYCHOPATH IS GONNA KILL ME!" Jinko cried, tears running down his face as he tried to pull off the collar.
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" Riddler roared, making everyone flinch in shock and for Jinko to freeze up in sheer terror. "YOU DESERVE TO DIE FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE! YOU HEAR ME?!"
Jinko weakly nodded, whimpering as Riddler let out inhuman breaths to calm himself down before bursting into a fit of insane giggles.
"I'm giving you a chance...Nobody ever gave me a chance. Just like the students in front of you."
Kaina, who had joined the rest of the Pros and her students, was conflicted. This was the man who had forced her to kill all those people, the blood on her hands could be directed at him. But to see him in such a pathetic state left her unsure of what to say or do at this moment.
"You know, ever since I was little, I've always loved little puzzles. For me, they're a retreat from the ugliness of this world we live in. Maybe...they can bring some comfort to you too, Mr. Wangei."
"Y-You want me to do puzzles?" Jinko asked weakly.
"Yes! Three riddles, three minutes. Get them all right and the collar around your neck comes off." Riddler explained giddily. "Get any of them wrong or time runs out...then BOOM!"
"Hey, we're standin' right here!" Death Arms barked. "What's stopping any of us from yanking that collar off before it blows?"
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Riddler warned. "If anyone tries touching that collar, it'll go off immediately."
"Crap, he thought of everything..." Kamui Woods cursed.
"Wait!" Sho called out, making all eyes focus on him. "If Jinko doesn't know the answers to the riddles, can we give them?"
Riddler chuckled. "That's also part of the game! You have a chance to save this pathetic low-life if you can also provide him the answers...but what will that leave you when he merely goes back to enforcing his ideas of 'Order' on society?"
"W-What kind of riddles do you want me to...?" Jinko nervously asked before the collar bomb turned on, making him panic as fresh tears spilled down his face.
"RIDDLE #1: It can be cruel, poetic, or blind, but when it's denied, it's VIOLENCE you may find." Riddler began, starting the first riddle.
"W-Wait, what do you mean? Cruel? Poetic? B-Blind?" Jinko asked fearfully as the timer on his collar beeped down.
"Justice," Melissa spoke up. "The answer's 'Justice'."
"J-Justice! What she said!" Jinko answered.
"Yes! Good job, you got it!" Riddler cheered. "And YOU were supposed to enforce JUSTICE in this society! But no, you made the heroes under your care into assassins! Swept any wrongdoings they may have caused under the rug! Left families to stew in their SUFFERING!"
Jinko was sobbing as he hunched over, trying hard not to throw up from the stress he was in as Riddler moved on to the next riddle.
"RIDDLE #2: If YOU are JUSTICE, please do not lie. What is the price for YOUR BLIND EYE?"
"Bribes!" Luz shouted instantly. "Because evil crime lords always take and give bribes for their dirty dealings, right?"
"But what's the price?" Ulquiorra pondered.
"10,000! 10,000 for people to not talk about any severe incidents involving the heroes!" Jinko answered. "And we accepted any bribes for certain heroes to keep any problems they caused under wraps!"
"Yes! Yes!"Riddler laughed wickedly, clapping his hands like a kid in a candy shop. "Now don't go losing your head, Mr. Wangei! You still have one last riddle before you're home free!"
"Alright, just one more!" Velvet said.
"But if we get it right, what do we do then? We basically have the HPSC President confessing to a lot of dirty dealings in front of us and all these Pros!" Denki said.
"Let's deal with that later." Ulqiorra and Kyoka mused.
"FINAL RIDDLE!"Riddler announced. "With the cat out of the bag and the tiger in the trap, what HUMANS RISE from your lips that flap?"
A hush fell over the stadium as Jinko's eyes widened in realization and horror at the implications of Riddler's riddle while everyone else was confused.
"Humans rise? Tiger in the trap? Cat out of the bag?" Spinel pondered.
"I don't….get it." Michiru voiced, her brain racking for anything to answer that.
"Neither do I." Penny followed.
"N-No! I won't give him up! I can't!" Jinko pleaded, a small bit of pride overwhelming his fear of death. Either that, of fear of what his master would do to him, especially without the suicide ring. "I'll never betray my allies!"
"Awwww, a shame..." Riddler frowned as he presented the Tiger Ring he took from Jinko. "That's an automatic failure and you know what THAT means~!"
Jinko panicked as he struggled to pull the collar down as it automatically began counting down from five to zero.
"FIVE!"
"NO! SOMEBODY STOP HIM!" Cried Cementoss.
"FOUR!"
"EVERYONE, GET OUT OF HERE!" Lady Nagant cried to her students.
"THREE!"
"DON'T LOOK, SPINEL!" Akira shouted as he held Spinel close, shielding her from the inevitable gruesome sight.
"GOOD!"
"Oh god, have mercy on my soul...!" Jinko sobbed, knowing his fate was sealed.
"BYEEEEEEEEEE!"
The collar began beeping rapidly and before anyone knew it, it exploded, creating a massive blast that knocked everyone nearby back. Class Sanctuary and Classes 1-A and 1-B kept running until they were out of the stadium, none of them wanted to see the aftermath of such a horrific fate.
"May the lord have mercy on his soul indeed..." Ibara prayed, a tear running down her face as Jurota and Shouda put consoling hands on her shoulders.
"I-is it over?" Spinel whimpered as she peeked an eye out from Akira's chest as he set her down.
"It is...and now we don't know what to do next." Hana frowned.
SANCTUARY
It was all his fault.
As he overlooked the burnt and barely breathing forms of both his youngest son and Izuku, the above was all Endeavour could think about.
History was repeating itself for the #2 hero: 13 years ago, his first born, Touya, had been burnt alive in his maddened and shameful insistence on proving his father wrong. Only with Touya, it had been about proving he was still destined to surpass his father and All Might. With Shoto, it had been hatred that led to him being more crispy than human now.
And again, it all came back to Endeavour's fault. All this happened because of his obsession with surpassing All Might. What a fool's errand that had been, he now realized: It didn't matter how many cases he solved, how many villains he captured; he could never have been #1 without the personality of a paragon. He cared more for results, not the people. Something Shoto had picked up on in their training.
And now, because of all this, his youngest son was, according to Recovery Girl's aides, likely to die without a blood transfer. And the amount of blood needed was more than anyone human could spare. They were scrambling to try and bring in another healing Quirk user, but he lived so far away….
"Take my blood."
The weak voice of the Firestarter pulled the #2 Hero out of his thoughts. He saw Izuku weakly lifting up a scaley arm. The boy who had brutalized his son looked almost healed; just tanned.
"I'm type O." Izuku remarked. "And I regenerate. Take as much as you need."
The Aides finally heard what Izuku had said, losing sight of calling for help.
"You dare…?!" One started.
"Do it."
The aides turned to see Endeavour, looking at them in desperate anger.
"Do what he says."
"Endeavour, do you want the blood of this monster in your son's veins?"
"Right here." Izuku weakly joked.
"That 'Monster' has so far more aided more than either you or your partner." Endeavour pointed out. "you said so yourself; Shoto needs a blood transfer of titanic proportions to pull through. Midoriya here has the universal blood type and with his healing factor, he should quickly recover from the transfer. Hell, based on his healing factor, it may help Shoto recover more quickly."
"He did THAT to your son!" One of the aides remarked, pointing to the crisp Shoto.
"Yes, and I'm certain Nedzu has a suitable punishment in mind for him. But until then, do your damn jobs and save my son!" Endeavour hissed back.
The aides looked at each other. Instead of reaching for the appropriate supplies, they went back to looking up blood banks to call on or see if their other healer could come.
"We're medical professionals. We can not and will not do anything if it will harm the patient."
"And I'M the actual doctor here."
Recovery Girl waddled in, glaring at her supposed 'helpers'. She shot Izuku a grandmother look before glaring at the two idiots.
"Unless either of you can whip up a cure for all burns or break out a healing Quirk better than mine? Keep your thoughts to yourself, ready a blood-bag and shut up and watch, You're both fired after today, but hopefully I can at least show you what a REAL doctor looks like."
The aides did as they were ordered, with Recovery girl handling prepping Izuku while they did Shoto. Soon enough, blood was flowing from the Firestarter into the Half-Half boy, whose burns started to fade, replaced with his original pigmentation.
"Thank you." Endevaour said to Izuku, a grateful smile on his face as he stepped outside to let out and take in breathes he had been holding in/needing.
No sooner had the #2 Pro caught his breath, han everyone in Class Sanctuary arrived, all of them with worried looks on their faces as Endeavor noticed their arrival.
"Where's Izu?" Seras asked. "We need to see him."
"He's right next door." Endeavor said as he continued looking over Shoto.
"Thanks!" Amity said as the gang moved to the room next door to find Izuku curled up in a corner, having his sheets wrapped around him like a blanket.
"Izuku!" Michiru gasped as she stretched her arms out in a bendy style and yanked the boy into a hug. "You're okay!"
Izyku tensed in the hg initially, but tears began to escape his eyes and he gently returned the hug, which was joined by Toga, Nazuna, Spinel and Luz. A few minutes later, the hug broke and he felt the disappointed eyes of his classmates.
Crona stepped upward and gave Izuku a hug of their own, tears escaping their eyes.
"You were scary back there." They said. "I don't know how to deal with my best friend acting so scary."
Instantly, Izuku's gulit was multiplied a thousandfold.
"I DO!" Raganrok beamed as he burst through his host's back. "That was Badass, scales! Way to put the pretty boy in his….! HEY! OW!"
"What the hell was that?!" Amity started as she pushed Ragnarok back down into Crona. "We agreed that….THAT…was only for A or S rank villains and ONLY if you were alone!"
"Sweet Potato…" Luz started, trying to calm her girlfriend down, only to be pulled by Lucy.
"No, Luz. He needs to hear this." The horned girl said. "While I do appritaite the brutality, to see that from you was…not pleasant, to say the least."
"What you did was a hell of unmanly." Akira said. "Trust me, Shoto's attitude was pissing me off, no offense if you hear this Sho…"
Getting no response from the Todoroki boy, Akira continued:
"..But what you did out there? That was no battle. that was bullying!"
"NO KATUSDON FOR A MONTH!" Masato shouted fighting back tears in his eyes. "As mom's son and the only sane one among you loveable idiots; I decree it!"
While his eyes widened a moment, all Izuku did otherwise was bring his knees to his face.
"Well?" Roromiya asked.
"Explain yourself, Izuku." Emi followed.
"…I was…" Izuku started, "I was livid. Hearing what Shoto said that moment, how he said we knew nothing of pain and suffering, and all the booing, the hating…I…I…I couldn't take it any more!"
The faces of Class Sanctuary began to soften in sympathy.
"I wanted to give him an iota of what if felt like when Nomu attacked. What it must've felt like when you guys…."
He lost his words.
Izuku knew he had screwed up. The moment Shoto panicked he knew he'd screwed up.
Penny joined Toga in hugging Izuku, who let out his sobs. For a while, the whole room was silent.
"I'm sorry…I'm sorry…"
Sho stepped forward.
"It'll be okay." He assured the draconic boy. "It was rough for me after Shinra and Endeavour saved me. He was the only one in my corner. But we're all in yours, Izuku."
"And if I may burrow something I overheard Akira tell Ms. Josei?" Velvet asked, wiating for Akira to nod:
"Don't care what the people think. They don't really matter. The ones who matter are the people you love and care for. Us, Katsuki, Ochako, All Might, Nedzu and Mamako? Yeah, they might be disappointed in you…But are you going to let this hold you down?"
Izuku's face finally broke into a smile
"Still, this DOES make it harder for us to build a good rep with the people..." Velvet sighed, getting a light slap from Emi.
"READ THE ROOM!" Fatgum's niece snapped.
"No, no, she's right." Izuku sighed.
"Hey!" Toga snapped. "Speaking from personal experience? Nothing worth having ever comes easy!"
The whole class now smiled, Amity stepping forward and pecking Izuku on the forehead before patting his hair.
"You're my Vice Representaive. I'd be a pretty bad class rep if I left you out on your own. Still…. You're helping us all with analysis assignments until whatever punishment you get is done."
"Dad'll pull something. He's a smart guy, I know he can figure something out." Masato said.
"Still, what do you think Riddler meant in his final riddle? Obviously, Jinko had a connection to it." Melissa pointed out.
"Wait, what?" Izuku asked.
"Oh, right; you were knocked out." Hana said before she gave Izuku a run down of what had happened.
"I think I can explain, everyone."
The group turned to see Nedzu and Mamako there, the latter rushing to scoop Izuku up in a warm motherly hug of affection while Nedzu took out the slightly burnt but still intact message to Class Sanctuary that had been taped to Jinko's body prior to his death.
Opening up the message, everyone saw that the message only contained a single but very important word:
'HUMARIZE'
SANCTUARY
The group was grateful to be meeting over screens. Especially when their leader didn't take the loss of one of their own well.
He had activated his special gear and let it go wild, destroying many items in his room while he ranted and raved to high heaven and the lowest hell. His colleagues were silent from their own lines until he started gasping for air,
"Whoever…this…Riddler is…I want him found. I want him dead. I was his memory eradicated from the world! I…!"
"Don't sweat the small stuff."
The three turned to see the youngest member, an annoyed look on his face.
"Think about it: Yes, Riddler put spotlight on us and took out one of our own, but with Jinko's death, Japan will be scrambling to insure the HPSC is clean or clean it up. This gives myself and Ragyo plenty of extra time to speed up our plans, and we can use whichever happens as fuel for the fire. Plus, the HPSC will probably spin a story about how Jinko was a double agent. And on top of it all, the public will demand the heroes find the bomber first, then worry about whatever organization he brings up."
Flect took a deep breath and wiped the sweat from his brow.
"…You're right. Thank you, Takeshi." Flect sighed. "How quickly we forget that behind those muscles lies the mind of a genius."
"And what a delvious mind…" Ragyo started flirtaously, only for Takeshi to flip her off.
"I've only ever loved three women in my life: My mother, my sister and the mother of my son. No more and certainly not you."
Odalia chuckled at Ragyo's humiliation; even Flect stifled a smirk.
"On the matter of your plans." He called out. "Status?"
"While the Dark Student Council is rearing for action." Takeshi explained. "It seems that 23 District Project itself is still ongoing; I wager another month before he can enact Damocles."
At this Ragyo let out a laugh
"How sad. Whole you're still struggling; the REVOCS employees loyal to Rei and thus me are ready. As is our secret weapon…or rather, it will be after one last pick up. And don't worry about my older daughters, they're out country doing Hero Studies or putting the first years at Shinketsu through boot camp."
"Very well Ragyo." Flect said. "You may enact your plan in a week. Takeshi, keep up your own and see if you can use Ragyo's to your advantage in…"
"Speeding up? Already know some finalists." Takeshi cut off, getting a smirk from his host, who turned to the final member of the group.
"Odalia, how go the acquisitions?"
"Much as it pains me to say it," Odalia fieghed. "With Jinko gone, we'll have less red tape and legal problems to work around. I can't give an exact estimate of when we'll be ready, but I reckon we'll be able to start the New Year with a bang at the latest."
"Excellent." Flect mused. "I must meditate to curb my feelings for the loss of Jinko. You're all dismissed."
The calls all ended. Takeshi then let out a breath of air.
"You get all that, Dad?"
"Every word." A gravelly, deep voice retorted from a hidden ear-peice. "That'll be more than enough to halt whatever Jinko had in mind for your brother and the others. Good work as always. Takeshi. You can take tomorrow off. Spend some time with Rai and Soara, he misses his father and your sister would like to hear your thoughts on her latest song."
Takeshi smirked and ended the chat.
"Where will you be dining tonight, Young master?" His driver asked, seeing his master was suddenly no longer smiling.
"Stop the car." Takeshi ordered as he then got out, seeing four small shapes running away from what loomed like a crow man of sorts.
SANCUTARY
Anya, Eri and Kana had barely managed to sneak out of the manor, especially with little baby Alas Ramus in tow. Thankfully, their caregiver of the day was a newbie, so it had been easy to sneak away.
But now Overhaul was right on their tails.
"Come home." He requested in a calm tone. "You know that's how this'll end either way."
Kana stepped in front of the other girls, ignoring Eri trying to pull her back.
"I'm the one he wants most…." The unicorn girl whimpered in hope of saving her friends, only to find Anya slipping Alas Ramus into her arms and revealing she had stolen one of the guards' guns.
Kana tried to summon some electricity, ready to destroy this block if she had to.
"Is there a problem here?"
Everyone turned to see the single largest man they had ever seen overlooking the scene.
"Oh no problem at all." Overhaul said with practiced ease. "My daughters just got a little carried away and I was about to take them home."
"Why is one of them covered in bandages?" Takeshi asked. "Bandages that haven't been changed in a week. And still have blood ion them? And why such a random selection of Quirks?"
Overhaul had not been expecting such a preceptive young man. Still, he was easy enough to deal with. He reached for his gloves
"Wait! I-I'll go." Eri whimpered. "Just please, don't hurt anyone else."
Overhaul smirked.
"Good Eri. Kana, Anya? Be good girls and…"
He suddenly saw Takeshi had wzipped past him and was now in front of the girls.
"Is he your daddy?" Takeshi asked.
"No!" Anya snapped. "He bought me from an orphanage and stole Eri and Alas!"
Overhaul let out an annoyed laugh.
"What an imagination you have, An…"
"Shut up." Takeshi ordered. "I'm talking to them."
Ignoring the man behind him, he looked to Eri.
"What does he do to you and your friends?"
Eri's red eyes burst into tears. That was enough for Taleshi and Overhaul, the villain tossing his gloves and reaching to destroy this pest…only for a growling Takeshi to grab his hands while keeping the fingers from touching.
"I-Impossible-!" Overhaul shouted, trying to grab Takeshi with his other hand but the giant young man simply caught it without flinching.
"Girls, cover your eyes until I say so." Takeshi ordered. Waiting for them to do as he asked before turning to the man he now held. "A real man doesn't use and abuse children for his own gain...a real man gets by on his own merits...and you ARE NOT A REAL MAN!"
Overhaul felt a sharp pain through both his arms...then nothing. He then looked to see his arms, severed at the shoulders and dangling in Takeshi's hands.
"My...My...MY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMSSSSSSSSSS!"
Takeshi tossed said arms upwards and tore off Overhaul's plague mask to deliver a brutal punch that sent him flying out of the alley and into a wall. The enraged young man stormed closer and closer.
"YOU SICK, DISEASED BAT!" Overhaul screamed in a mix of pain and maddened rage. "AFTER I GET ERI AND MY ARMS BACK, I'M GOING TO FIND YOU'RE FAMILY AND KILL THEM ALL! AND THEN I'LL DEDICATE EVERY WAKING MOMENT TO-!"
Takeshi glared and then grabbed Overhaul's jaw, crushing it in his massive hand. Overhaul looked at the mangled mess that remained and fell to his knees in horror as he made gargling noises of pain before Takeshi punched his arm through his chest, blood exploding out as he held his arm tightly in his grip.
"Now then..."
Takeshi jammed the still-beating organ down what was left of Overhaul's throat, causing him to gag and choke as Takeshi then placed his hands over his head.
"Swallow!"
SQUELCH!
Overhaul was now little more than a bloody mess. Takeshi sighed at the state of his hands, then shot the children a small smile.
"It's okay, little ones." Takeshi assured them. "He won't hurt you ever again. None of them will. Now, o straight down the street and you'll find a building that looks like an 'H'. They'll take care of you."
And then Takeshi left the alley without another word.
SANCTUARY
Pros and civilians had been baying for Izuku's arrest, but the smartest rodent had simply sipped at his tea in mild annoyance in his wife's lap.
"Did I or did I not explain that there is a three strike system?" Nedzu said. "This is strike one. A very grave strike mind you, but one nonetheless."
"Detention alone for THAT?!" Death Arms roared in anger.
"Whoever said that was what the strike entailed?" Nedzu explained. "Izuku will also have to go to a new version of therapy; one that we honestly should've picked up on: Anger management."
"Izu-kun's sense of anger is severely underdeveloped." Mamako said, wordlessly reminding everyone the dragon boy had spent most of his life in a lap that beat any sense of worth out of him. "Today it seems, the straw broke the camel's back. Now, that doesn't excuse what he did, however. But we here at UA should've picked up on it."
"I blame myself." Hound Dog said. "I've been so focused on helping with his trauma…"
Some were swayed by the words of the three staff members.
"And Shoto Todoroki is fully recovered." Recovery Girl said, walking in with the once extra crispy boy and his father.
"Thanks to Izuku's blood." Shoto said aloud. "7 pints."
Even more began to lose fuel for their hate. Finally came the zinger
"WHAT'S THIS? A BOMBER HAS ATTACKED THE OLYMPICS OF OUR ERA, YET YOU ALL SEEK TO ARREST A BOY WHO MADE A MISTAKE INSTEAD OF GOING AFTER THE CRIMINAL?"
All Might's words, spoken like a disappoint ted yet joking uncle, made many look down in shame and embarrassment, including his rival, who looked at his son, then the crowd. He took a deep breath and stepped forward.
"Izuku Midoriya hurt my son and then saved him. In mere hours alone, he has done more good for my family than I ever did."
Endeavoyr then removed his costime to reveal the signs of his and Rei's spats.
"For years, the HPSC has covered up spats between myself and my wife. I myself have ignored two of my children and forced Shoto into training when he could walk. All so I could overtake All Might. If I, the #2 Hero, am allowed to do all this, then surely, the Sanctuary students should be given more chances."
The world went silent for about a full minute.
"I don't care what happens to me." Endeavor said. "But know this: Class Sanctuary is under the Endeavour Agency's protection."
The silence continued. Then, what should've been a triumphant moment turned to horror and tragedy.
"Endeavor, sir! There is news!" Kido, one of Endeavor's sidekicks, said as he rushed in.
"What is it, Kido?"
"It's your wife...y-you may not like what you hear next."
SANCTUARY
*An Hour Earlier*
"I have learned so much from you, Mrs. Todoroki. Thank you for your cooperation." Dr. Crane smiled as he finished writing down his notes after Rei finished her story.
"It's alright, Doctor. Thank you for taking the time to listen." Rei said. "Is there anything else?"
"Yes, there is one more thing..." Dr. Crane said before grinning. "A Fear Test."
"W-What do you mean?"
Before Rei could react, a sickly green gas hit her in the face as Dr. Crane stood up from his seat and, much to her horror, contorted and twisted as his body changed in a horrific manner.
When the macabre metamorphosis was finished, before Rei's eyes was a 7ft tall scarecrow-like creature with a grain sack-like head, glowing red-orange eyes, and a stitched mouth with similar lights emitting from within. He wore a torn set of pants and a tank top with holes in it, around his arms were ropes and strips of leather as well as crow feathers, a noose was also around his neck, chains were wrapped around his shins and ankles, and in his hands was a rusted butcher's hook on a chain.
"W-What are you...?!" Rei asked fearfully.
"I am Fear Incarnate, I am Terror Personified...I am...SCARECROW!"
Scarecrow's fingers turned into syringe-like claws filled with an amber liquid as he stabbed them into Rei's neck, making her gasp in pain before her eyes took on a similar hue, and then the TV in her room sparked to life before a pair of hands made of static grabbed her and pulled her inside.
"Welcome to your worst fear, Rei Todoroki..." Scarecrow said though he didn't seem to be there as Rei found herself in the Sports Festival and saw Izuku and Shoto facing each other.
"Mom...why couldn't you protect me?" Shoto asked as he suddenly turned into Toya. "You let me die...!"
"NO! SHOTO! TOYA!" Rei cried, running up to them only for the world around her to change and before she knew it, she was back in the kitchen on that fateful day.
"No...Not again! Not again!"
She then turned and saw Shoto when he was a child, looking at her with worry. She then felt a snapping sensation in her mind as history repeated itself.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" Child Shoto screamed as his face began melting off from the hot water.
"SHOTO!" Rei screeched, trying to use her ice to soothe the burns, only to freeze Shoto's melting body, which then shattered like glass as the shards decorated the floor. Rei stared at the remains of her youngest child for what felt like the longest time before looking up to see Fuyumi and Natsuo staring at her with looks of abject horror.
"Y-You killed Shoto..."
"Y-You MONSTER! You evil WITCH!"
Endeavor appeared behind the two children, a cold glare on his face. "You are a disgusting miserable wretch. Look what you've done to this family. Sure, I had my own part to play...but you let it happen!"
"No...Nononononononono!" Rei begged before feeling a pair of cuffs around her wrists, followed by being thrown into a police car and then thrown out of it and into a prison cell, which closed in front of her. She saw her parents behind the bars, looking at her with disappointment.
"You are a disgrace to the Himura Family, Rei. We never should have had a pathetic excuse of a daughter."
The walls began closing around Rei as she curled into herself, begging for this nightmare to end before she noticed someone in front of her. Looking up, she saw him...Toya.
"Mom...why did you do it...why did you destroy this family?"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
In the real world, an iceberg that overtook the entire hospital erupted from around the fear stricken mother. Scarecrow stayed behind Rei, preparing a cloth he then slammed over her nose and mouth while holding her in place. Rei consciousness slowly subsided into slumber just as a Warp agte manifested
"Please give her to me." Kurogiri asked, wantoing to minimize is contact with this villain above all others. With a chuckle, Scarecrow did so before anpther Warp gate manifested under his feet, transporting him elsewhere.
SANCTUARY
The Todoroki family was quickly gathered at what used to be the hospital. There were no survivors.
All they found was a video of Rei being gassed and panicking at whatever she saw before being knocked out and taken away by the Warp user from the League of Villains, with a written note saying:
'Who do you blame when your kid is a brat? Pampered and spoiled like a Siamese cat. Blaming the kids is a lie and a shame. You know exactly who's to blame: The mother and the father!'
Shoto and Fuyumi burst into tears, holding onto each other. Natsuo simply punched the ground and screamed wordlessly until his voice was raw.
It was not Endeavour who roared next. It was Enji Todoroki.
"SCARECROW!"
SANCTUARY
"All according to plan." All for One smiled as Ujiko looked over Rei, with Kurogiri aiding him in giving her the necessary 'medicines. "All according to plan."
Devil Dragon Stand Knight A/N:
This was a real doozy of a chapter if I do say so myself. Jinko Wangei is dead, Humarize has lost one of their key members, Takeshi has his own plans, Scarecrow is on the loose, Rei has been driven to irreparable insanity, Endeavor has confessed his crimes, and things are looking grim for hero society.
How will our young heroes in Class Sanctuary handle all this insanity being thrown their way? Luckily, they won't be alone as some new friends come in to help out in these troubled times!
What does All for One want with Rei that he sent Scarecrow to break her and bring her to him? How will Humarize handle what Riddler did to one of their chief members? Will Izuku manage to redeem himself in the eyes of the population? Find out in the next chapter!
One more thing, this story now has a TV Tropes page! Check it out and if you can, add in your edits, it'd sure help us out! Alright, Mrotrax, it's all on you!
Mrotrax A/N
And thus, the Sports Festival ends on a bitter note; Izuku has his first demerit while people's fears about the Sancutary kids are being given merit, and the kids have met Riddler, all while the Todoroki family's name and bond goes down the crapper! And to top it all off, we have the Scarecrow getting involved in all of this. To say nothing of Ragyo soon enacting her plans and needing to have something or someone picked up to solidify her victory….
I have to give credit to my niece for All Might's line! Such a smart kid! Sorry, gushing! The next chapter will hopefully be lighter, and then we get into the first original arc of the story, which is mixed in with internships.
Keep safe out there and see you next time!
