That evening at the Sanctuary dorms, the newest additions were making themselves at home while they relaxed before dinner.
Akira, Tang Yun and Tetsuo had struck up a conversation about their delinquent lives, with the psychic offering to teach Akira to ride a motorbike…as soon as they found one that fit him. Tang meanwhile, was praising Akira's pudding cooking skills like he was an elated Food Network judge.
"The smooth texture is balanced with the right blend of dark and milk flavors, its not too cold or lukewarm…Akira, please tell me you're willing to make more and possibly go legit!"
Akira paused and thought about that.
"Well maybe, if hero work doesn't work out: Hinako did suggest the same thing…"
As the delinquents bonded, Crona and Lucy were playing with a giggling Alas Ramus, genuine and happy smiles on their faces that compounded when Spinel put on a show, making funny faces while standing on her head and spinning around before leaping and doing the can-can.
Axol had then dropped by and used his paintings to entertain the baby, a genuine smile crossing his face as he did so, especially when Bridget added in her yo-yo.
Katrina had enjoyed the show as well, but still wandered around the dorm, observing everyone interacting and adding her own little thoughts when she thought it appropriate. Masato had joined her in the wandering, feigning 'needing to keep everyone in line'.
Ellie and Melissa had quickly bonded, with Melissa offering suggestions to and helping tinker some of Ellie's gadgets, with Ellie of course joining her and promising to sign up for Support Club as well. The large girl had also noticed Emi looking at her in an 'odd' way but chalked it up as being jealous.
Penny, Dorothy and Maine seemed to be having a conversation about their lives before Sanctuary, with the rigid Dorothy smiling and Maine's form visibly relaxing. Sophie still had to translate what he was grunting or motioning when he did contribute to the conversation, but Penny was just happy to see him interacting.
Dorothy had arranged to spar with Himiko the next day, while Sho was currently sparring with Jinx. Despite his time manipulation, the quirky girl (pun not intended) was proving to be a fun fight, especially when she munched on a snack from 21.
Kohta had gravitated to Mukuro, starting with light conversations about their preferred weapons. It was a slow progress with Mukuro's aloofness, but Kohta could feel something of a bond forming.
Plus, Mukuro had to admit it was nice to chat with someone else about what had taken up most of her life….That and he wasn't nearly as haughty as Emi, who seemed determined to have a brawl with her to determine who was the stronger of them. Kohta had explained it as martial artist pride, but to Mukuro it seemed unprofessional and unbecoming for a wannabe hero.
Luckily for the former solider, Emi was currently preoccupied lightly sparring with Noi, who seemed to be having a blast in their spar.
Speaking of Amity and Luz, the triple-colored haired girl's attention was on Anya, a smile on her face and a hand outstretched.
"Come on." She smiled
"No!" The redheaded girl refused, making Amity lightly chuckle.
"Okay how about this? You give me back my necklace, Luz and I will read any book you want at bedtime."
Anya's eyes lit up and she handed over said necklace before racing to the bookshelf, pulling a volume of the Bondman manga.
"Oh, nice choice!" Luz beamed, whispering to Amity; "This is the one where BB and Lady Assassin fall in love."
Amity blushed at the implications while at the same time, Kaneki handed Luz back a copy of 'The Good Witch'.
"A little more elementary or junior high level than what I'm used to reading." The white-haired boy confessed, the hints of joy in his voice. "But such a wonderful world and wonderful character dynamics. Thank you, Luz. Sorry if my recommendation is…."
Luz cut him off, producing a copy of 'Dear Kafka' that the newcomer had loaned to her.
"I'm not usually one for horror in this style, and yeah it did…remind me of….stuff."
Kankei and Amity both winced, already guessing what Luz had on her mind.
"But I can't put it down for more than a few seconds, so thanks!" Luz beamed, which she could tell Kankei replicated under his own mask. Tae then spied the book and groaned happily, producing another of the author's work and offering it to Kankei, who happily took it.
Seras was trying to start a conversation with Kanato, but the boy seemed more trusting of teddy bear. Probably didn't help when she mentioned her master, at whose name Kanato 'eeped' and ran for cover in what looked like great fear. At least Seras knew who to blame for this….
"Bloody hell Master, what did you do?" She groaned before heading over to check on Kohta and Mukuro, whose conversation was turning to the topic of canons...
Oddly enough, Kanato seemed to have no objections to Ulqiorra or Yuno being near him….
Perhaps the most unexpected interaction was between Hana and Seyru: It turned out the plucky girl was a huge fan of Nimbus AKA Hana's grandmother Nana and had come to UA wanting to follow in her footsteps, only to find her granddaughter. Seyru mentioned she also had experience with someone she loved turning out to be a villain…
Eri had remained close to Izuku and Himiko, the two damaged teens taking to her like a little sister. Shiro had also come over, and she and Eri had bonded over their similar eyes with Himiko.
Finally, Kana seemed to gravitate towards Izuku, due to his dragon like appearance. Izuku was a little nervous at first, but when he saw how in awe Kana was of almost everything he did, he realized something: He liked being a big brother. He was currently reading a book of fairy tales to the small girl.
All together, everyone was happy, espiecally when Nedzu's voice perked up.
"PIZZA'S HERE!"
The kids all rushed to a mountain's worth of pizza boxes, their appetites suddenly becoming undeniable. Of course, they made sure the little ones got first servings before taking their own plates and sodas.
"Now babies, I know we've had a lot happen today," Mamako beamed. "But we have one more surprise for you; your new, direct Quirk supervisor and Hound Dog's new partner, along with his plus one and a half."
The kids paused midbite to see two new faces enter the room, one gently helping the other despite their insistence they were fine. One was a young man in a blue lightly armored costume while the other was a young woman with pinkish orange hair wearing glasses and a visbly pregnant belly.
"THE SKYCRAWLER!" Izuku, Melissa, Luz and Amity called out in fanboy fashion.
"POP*STEP!" Nazuna and Tae called out
"Oh, you've heard of me?" Koichi mused, a light blush on his face.
"Who hasn't heard of Celebrity's best sidekick?!" Luz called out.
"We haven't." Noi and Shiro pointed out.
"He was originally a low level vigilante known as Nice Guy, but soon became known for taking on Trigger fuelled Villain attacks, stopped an out of control bus, battled a multi-Quirk user…!" Izuku started, shocking many with how fast he was speaking and spitting facts.
"He gets excited, but he has a way with words." Himiko mused.
"HA!" Luz beamed when she spied how close the two adults were. "I KNEW you two were together! I knew it! I knew it!"
As Luz and Izuku continued their tirades, 21 made her way over to Kazuho.
"Um…C-can…?"
"Go ahead." Kazuho smiled. 21 knelt and gently pressed her hands and an ear to the pregnant woman's belly. She immediately sensed the baby; warm, happy….
She wasn't alone; Tetsuo and Ulqiorra picked up on the newborn and shared in 21's happiness and unsease.
Suddenly, the TV buzzed to life, static filling the screen before the image of a pale yet beautiful woman with rainbow highlights smirking evilly overtook the screen.
"Greetings worshipful subjects!"
"Maman?!" Nui gasped in disbelief as she recognized her mother on the screen.
"OH MY GOD, YOUR MOTHER IS BEYONCE/LADY GAGA?!" Jinx and Spinel exclaimed before looking at each other and laughing before Yuno slapped their heads.
"Can't you see she's scared?!"
She wasn't the only one; Alas Ramus began to scream in fear and cuddled into Crona's chest, while Anya froze in place and began to shake with Eri; recognizing the woman's eyes as the same Kai had: Indifferent, uncaring…but much, MUCH more sadistic.
"What's going on?! It's on every channel!" Akira said as he tried switching the channel, only for the same thing to come up.
"It's on all phones, too!" Sophia said, manifesting from Maine as Ragyo began to speak:
"It is I, Ragyo Kiriyuin, former CEO of REVOCS. Be at ease, for today is the day all your pitiful problems vanish. For too long, humanity has risen and faltered on the concepts of good, evil, heroes and villains, In doing so, we have blindly rushed towards the Quirk Singularity Apocalypse as Quirks grow more and more powerful. That ends today, with very source of the Quirks being used to save us!"
She then began a slideshow that showcased a red meteor crashing into earth, and bits of what looked like hair latching onto early humans, speeding up their development. All the while, her finger hovered over a button on her desk.
"Millenia ago, Life Fibers crashed to earth, with only a select few, like myself and my family, being able to understand and better yet, properly control them. It is through this understanding we grew rich and powerful, especially when so many, many of your 'Heroes' approached us to make costumes for you. And for that capital and spread, we thank you. For within each costume REVOCS created, there is but a single Life Fiber that now, through some like minded associates, I can control and do…THIS!"
All over Japan, the same thing occurred: A beacon suddenly burst from a REVOCS building, either current or former, sending out a signal. Any Pro or student hero's costume tensed before enlarging and morphing into what could best be described as a Suit-Gorilla hybrid. If anyone was unfortunate enough to actually be wearing their costume at the time….Well the lucky ones were spat out in their undergarmets.
"Good thing Pamela had my costume custom-made," Koichi muttered.
"And it's also a good thing David custom-made my and Nighteye's costumes!" All-Might said, coming in as well. "Don't worry, kids! I'll help the heroes on the scene settle this dispute!"
With his signature laugh, the Symbol of Peace burst through the ceiling, Nedzu sighing and shaking his head.
"One of these days, he's going to pay for that out of his own account..." The principal groaned.
Melissa prayed for her uncle's time-limit to not affect him too much, but she was soon distracted by Ragyo's tirade.
"Now sadly, most of you Pros are strong enough to break through from the COVERS…but can you fight yourselves with All Might in his Prime levels of strength?"
SANCUTARY
Panic in the streets as the newly dubbed COVERS rampaged, flipping over cars, sending their former hosts flying if they weren't in a full fight and otherwise threatening the public.
But already, one Pro was on the scene:
"The Kiriyuins aren't the only family who knew." Best Jeanist declared as he forced several COVERS to the ground before turning to his sidekicks. "Split up! Rescue is priority!"
"YES, JEANSIT!"
As his sidekicks did as they were ordered, Jeanist glared at Ragyo's smirking face before turning his attention to REVOCS HQ, just a few blocks away.
"What is that madwoman up to? Why now?"
"HAVE NO FEAR!" A familiar voice bellowed as darkness overtook the downed COVERS before something crashed into them, splattering them. "BECAUSE I AM HERE!"
Back with Class Sanctuary!
From her office, Ragyo sipped a glass of wine as her stream continued.
"Ah yes, by all means, fight against the inevitable." She smirked. "Just like monkeys in a lab, you lot, trying to…"
"HOLD! STILL! YOU QURIKED BRAT!" A woman's voice growled.
"..,..Trying to do the same thing and…" Ragyo continued.
"OW! SHE BIT ME!" A young man howled in pain.
"…And trying to get a different…!" Ragyo tried again, annoyance clear on her face and in her tone.
"PUT THE GAG BACK ON, YOU QUIRKED IDIOT!"
"TRYING TO GET A DIFFERENT RESULT!" Ragyo managed.
"LIKE YOU'RE DOING IN ANY BETTER, YOU QUIRKLESS…! OW! RIGHT IN THE NOSE!"
"…Excuse me for just a moment." Ragyo growled in annoyance as she stood up and left the room, a 'Please stand by' sign overtaking the screen.
Even with the sign, some noise could still be made out.
"WHY ARE YOU BEING SO DIFFICULT?!"
"I was raised on construction camps AND I'm a hero student, you morons! Did you think I was some screaming daisy of a damsel?!" A familiar voice called out. A voice that when heard, made many pause.
"O-Ochako?!" Izuku and Himiko called out in worry.
"Who?" Kanna asked.
"Izu-nii's girlfriend!" Anya gasped as she read the dragon boy's mind. "…I think…?"
"Its complicated." The veteran Sanctuary kids explained in uniosn. "Adorable and we hope for it, but complicated."
Ragyo's voice cut in, ending any thoughts
"Move aside you two!"
"Yes, Lady Kiriyun."
Screams of pain soon came from the background, filling anyone who listened with worry…especially Nui, who was sweating profusely and then scratching at her eyepatch with a giggle.
Everyone turned to her, some confused and some angry before realizing the polarising state the girl was in; she seemed terrified but giddy, reliving trauma but also being distracted….
"Oh my god!" Yuno gasped, pointing to…
"THE EYEPATCH!" Ellie called out, seeing the hints of a light under it. "IT'S A BUG!"
"Don't worry, I can disable it!" Sophia chirped as she entered the circuitry of the eyepatch, Nui giggling at the ticklish sensation before it ceased, and Sophia returned to Maine's side.
"But what now? That harlot probably has so much dirt on us!" 21 said worriedly.
"Worry not, my students." Nedzu smiled. "I anticipated something like this from the moment I welcomed Nui into our borders."
Nui looked away, somewhat ashamed as Mamako moved over and wrapped her arms around her.
"It's okay, sweetie. It's not your fault."
"Maybe in another universe, you would have been Ragyo's mole and loyal to her...but you're not in this universe," Masato said. "You're our friend and we trust you no matter what."
"Sheesh, we just moved into this class and already we're being thrown into a crisis!" Kohta said, overwhelmed by everything. "What should we do, you guys?"
"We fight, that's what we do." Mukuro said, already pulling out and loading an SFP9.
"I like the way you think."
"Okay, how did you pull that out?" Noi asked.
"I have a lot of things stashed away." The Ultimate Soldier answered curtly.
"Well, first day back in Japan and already a major villain attack. Guess we should've expected this..." Koichi sighed as he turned to Kazuho.
"Don't worry, honey. From what I can see, we've got things cover…OOH!"
The pregnant woman winced, making her husband put her into a chair.
"Stay here." He begged his wife, who sighed but consented, before pulling him into a passionate kiss.
"Come back." She ordered, getting a salute. Koichi turned to the students.
"Sorry to cut our meeting short, kids. But heroes are needed."
He then leapt out a window and took the skies, looking for where he was needed most.
SANCTUARY
"Young lady, if you weren't so essential, I'd have to educate you on consequences like I did with my daughters." Ragyo grimaced as she glared at a gasping Ochako, one of the diva's lips now broken and the hints of a black eye barely covered with makeup.
Ochako found herself forced into the Gravity Regalia; a mix of a queen's most elegant robe in a black night and star pattern and a space suit. She was also in a tube accompanied by a single pillar and her hands had loosened shackles on them. Finally, her gag had been removed.
"But in all honestly?" Ragyo admitted as she gave the girl a look over. "You're too…soft for my taste. I prefer hardened and angular faces, preferably also with a Life Fiber or two in their body."
"You are a sick lady, you know that?" Ochako managed, but the Diva scoffed at her.
"Urgh. You sound like my ex-husband and older daughters. Instead of that, lets talk about the suit you're lucky to be inside. It was supposed to be for Space Hero 13, but for some reason, her Quirk and the Life Fibers couldn't synchronize. All it did was repel instead of suck up. Despite that, I couldn't bear to see such an exquisite creation going to waste, so, after some testing, we decided to find a Gravity manipulator. Took some time to find the right one; most have a tedious time limit or weight limit….But it seems to be agreeing with you."
As much as Ochako didn't want to admit it, she felt much stronger wearing this Regalia; she felt not a hint of her usual vomit from overuse yet…
"Now, for why you're here." Ragyo smirked, lifting a brow. Instantly, the Gravity Regalia moved on its own, forcing Ochako's Quirk to acitivate and for the girl to grab the pillar in her prison.
And at that moment, when she heard and felt the shake, Ochako understood.
"…This is the foundation pillar of the whole building, isn't it?"
Ragyo smirked with a nod as, on the outside, the building tore itself from the ground and began to rise into the air.
"Now we can watch the monkeys run around where they belong." Ragyo smirked before whipping out an earpiece. "Rei, prepare the defenses."
"Already done, Lady Kiryuin." The tanned woman answered as instantly, blasters, canons and several COVERS with flight capabilities appeared to handle anyone who came close.
SANCUTARY
Kuroiro was watching from the sidelines with Hoomaru, who was checking over the statistics of the COVERS on her phone.
"Heh, that Uravity's sure tough, I'll give her that." The jet-black-skinned young man commented, still nursing his bitten hand and broken nose. "But my heart already belongs to somebody else..."
Kuroiro took out a photo showing him as a child along with none other than a younger Kinoko Komori of Class 1B.
"Komori-San...I don't expect you to forgive me for the path I've chosen...but this world has no place for me at your side..."
Flashback
Two children played on the swings, happily giggling and unaware of the cruelty of the world around them. One a girl with a mushroom like appearance, the other a boy who looked like he was a living shadow.
Komori had been Kuroiro's only friend ever since they were six years old; they played heroes and villains together, watched movies together and sharing popsiles together, all while swearing to become great heroes together.
When he was with Kumori, Kuroiro forgot all his problems: Fighting parents, the glares, the whispers….She didn't care for that, he was her friend, even if the rest of the world still hated him.
Besides, they saw the merits of each other's Quirks when no one else did.
Still, there was only so much one could take, and after getting the UA Rejection letter? What few had been in the boy's corner abandoned him: his parents kicked him out, Komori's parents threatened to call the police if he 'corrupted' their daughter and without a full education, he could get no job.
So when one night, a limo pulled up to him, handed him a fortune in cash and a Regalia to wear, when the woman inside had asked:
"Would you like to help save the world?"
He jumped at the offer.
Flashback end
With the Darkness Regalia that Ragyo had given him, on top of making him look like a Reaper, Kurori's powers were on a whole other level. He could now warp into any shadow no matter the distance and his strength, speed and endurance were tripled.
"Still longing for that abomination?" Rei asked as she spied him looking at the photo, which he hurriedly put away.
"Aren't you feeling a little guilt?" Kurori asked.
Rei answered his question with one of her own:
"Do you know the regulations of Quirks in countries not of a First World level are non-existant? In my home country, soldiers and civilains used their Quirks al they wanted for whatever they wanted. The Quirked slaughtered my family. Burnt my village. Not even children were safe! Quirks are the bane of all life! But Lady Kiriyuin will get rid of them!"
A little scared of the woman's devotion, Kurori made his way away, before suddenly, all phones and screens in the buildings came to life.
"Hello good people and…Mrs. Kiryuin. I'd wish you a good day, but that would be a lie." Nedzu, accompanied by Mamako and Masato, said. "Mrs. Kiryuin, you seem to think you have the upper hand with your floating base and many Pros down to their undergarments as 'Clothe Clones' with their Quirks running rampant. This is just a friendly call to remind you of your place."
This got the attention of the REVOCS crew.
"I knew of the camera in your youngest eye the moment I saw her." Nedzu explained. "It wasn't that hard and I do applaud you for getting a decent model…but sadly, not the latest one. What information you did get from her may be accurate, but it is not whole; I had every room of UA installed with micro-disrupters. I'm sure you managed to guess work most of my students, but as stated, you have but some of the information."
Ragyo frowned for a second, but then smirked.
"Well, what can you do anyways, rodent?"
Nedzu's grin grew even more.
"Darling? If you would?" He asked his wife.
"There's a little clause in the UA manifesto…" Mamako said as she scanned the book, finding what she was looking for. "Ah here it is: 'If in the event of an unprovoked attack on either the campus or the immediate vicinity, students of UA can and are to be given temporary right to use their Quirks in order to defend themselves and those around them.' And I do believe what's happening counts as that."
"And before you can 'remind' us of the COVERS that will come from the student's costumes?" Nedzu added. "Do recall there is one class at UA with no costumes of any kind, and ironically, several of the students are stronger than most Pros."
"So thanks, HPSC!" Masato beamed as he waved to the camera. "For once denying us something is helping out!"
It was then that the REVOCS group saw Nedzu's message was being broadcast all over Japan, much like their own message had been.
"And finally!" Nedzu announced, his face softening. "Miss Uraraka? We are coming."
The message then ended and Ochako smiled.
SANCTUARY
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IZUKU CAN'T JOIN US?!" The students all roared in fury.
That was what most of Sanctuary asked when Sayaka Grant, the new HPSC President, informed them of the restrictions she needed to place on them.
"It's like I said, the public is still highly distrustful of him due to his actions in the Sports Festival." Sayaka sighed. "I'm sorry, but I need to keep my focus on fixing the damages my former superior did to the Committee's name."
"We understand, Sayaka..." Nedzu sighed as he cut off communication before a hidden glint flickered across his beady black eyes. "Though rules are meant to be bent, of course..."
"Guys, just go...I made my bed, I have to lie in it..." Izuku sighed sadly as he went headed upstairs to his dorm room.
"Izuku..." Melissa said sadly.
"I shouldn't go, either..." Nui said, her head bowed. "I...I don't think I can face Maman..."
"Why? That….that….whore of a bitch made you and your sister's lives miserable!" Yuno pointed out. "You deserve to get back at her for all that she did!"
"Easy Yuno." Noi pulled the pink haired girl back and Mamako took her into a hug, calming her down. It was clear that Yuno saw someone from her past in Ragyo and wanted to make her suffer for what she did to her friend.
"It's not that, it's...I don't know if I'm strong enough..." Nui admitted, her one eye welling up in tears. "What if she takes control of me? What if she turns me into her puppet and makes me kill you all?! I can't hurt any of you!"
The normally peppy girl fell to her knees, sobbing as memories she had been buried came back to her: The lustful eyes and touches of her mother, Ryuko taking her place and struggling to walk afterwards, being forced to mold the Life Fibers as her mother wanted and only being allowed to stop/being praised when Ragyo felt it…..
"We won't let her. Believe us." Akira said, putting his large hands on Nui's shoulders as gently as possible.
"And you won't be alone." Another voice cut in, making everyone turn to see a man of orange hair with a beak like nose in a fine business-suit finishing a glass of wine after giving Kazuho a gentlemanly bow.
"Ah, Rikkiya." Nedzu smiled. "I was hoping you might come by."
"And not a moment too soon, eh?" The billionaire smiled. "Hey there kids! Lemme introduce myself…"
"The President of Deternat!" Melissa and Ellie beamed together, getting a chuckle from the man.
"Oh, you heard of me."
"They've heard of everybody." Kazuho mused.
"Well that save some time." Rikkiya smiled. "Deternat and myself have brought you all some Support Gear to help you out. I was hoping for a less…field like testing out, but…"
"We'll take it!" Noi called out.
"I'll help everyone in control!" Jinx promised.
The billionaire smiled at this, snapping his fingers as briefcases with their names came in.
"Take your picks and gear up. And before you ask how I got this all together so quickly? Lets just say I have a few friends who don't mind getting in trouble for using their Quirks in self defense." Rikkiya smiled before pulling out a paper. "That and Mr. Kongoh's permission."
"Dad okayed this?" Akira asked, getting a nod.
"Um…why is Izuku frozen?" Tetsuo asked.
Indeed, Izuku was still in midstep towards his dorm room, compeltly stiff. This was exemplified when Anya gasped:
"I-I can't read Izu-nii's mind!"
SANCUTARY
Izuku was confused, shocked, scared and close to crying.
One moment he had been walking towards his dorm room. Now, he was back in the apartment he and his parents had lived in before the Firestarter incident. And in front of him?
"M-mom? D-dad?"
His parents, beaming as he crawled all over the room. His father Hisashi play chasing his son by crawling while his mother Inko prepped a cup of tea and then stood in front of her baby boy, who hugged her legs.
"Mine!"
"Izuku, could mommy be yours over there?" Inko smiled, looking over to the couch, The baby nodded as she walked over handing the cup to a white-haired man in a suit before taking Izuku into her arms and covering his face with kisses. Hisashi then got off the floor and nuzzled his son's nose before pecking his wife on the nose.
Izuku's eyes welled up at this before he turned his attention to the man his parents seemed to be entertaining. He seemed…familiar.
"Hello, Izuku." The man said suddenly looking at the Draconic boy. "Don't worry. I'm not here to hurt you. And…I'm sorry, but your parents and little you are but a memory."
"D-do I know you, sir?" Izuku asked.
The man downed the cup of tea and set it down before rising to his feet and adopting a saddened look before offering a hand to the boy.
"What did they do to you?"
And instantly, Izuku realized.
"G-g-Grandpa?! B-but All Might said…?!"
"That I was dead? When will those idiots learn? No body? Still alive." All for One groaned. "Then again, he did force me to change bodies…Also, full disclosure, glad this is how you see me, would've been awkward otherwise…But that's not why I'm here."
"How are you even..?" Izuku started.
"Soul Link." The supervillain explained. "One of the very first Quirks I picked up; I can telepathically communicate with those most precious to me. And speaking of precious, I'm here to tell you something I should've long ago."
The man put his hands on his grandson. Izuku knew he should be feeling terror, but all he felt was calm and assurance.
"Stop holding back." All for One said.
"But…!" Izuku started. "I'm not…I'm not strong or good enough!"
"Says who? The HPSC? The moronic fools you're to defend?" All for One asked.
"What happened on my…!"
"That was an accident. And you have grown so much since then. And that being strong enough bit? I beg to differ."
Izuku looked up
"What even is strength?" All for One asked. "Is it the power to level a mountain to dust with a single blow? The ability to buy and do whatever you want? To walk into a room and have all throw themselves at your feet? The world may tell you that, but I know, you know, and your classmates know what makes real strength: Perseverance and dedication to your goals. And no one has persevered more than you, my precious Izuku."
All for One then waved his hand and images began to fly by: The trial. The hate, the kidnapping…Nomu…and despite it all, Izuku did not break.
'I will help people.' Was all the image said.
"And you are the glue that keeps Sanctuary together."
Izuku saving Himiko, reuniting with the tearful Bakugos, comforting Crona, sparring with Akira, helping Amity and Melissa with their Representer and support duties, practicing with Sho, designing costumes with Nui, cooking with Lucy and Masato….And many, many more.
"You're not even at your peak and you've already done all that. I dare say I;m almost scared to imagine you when you reach adulthood…..Do you want to know who the two strongest people I've ever met were?" All for One asked gently. "You'll be surprised."
Izuku nodded silently.
"Your granduncle, my little brother. And your father."
Izuku's eyes widened.
"Your granduncle Yoichi was the first One for All user." All for One reminisced as images of his brother, a lanky, sickly young man filled the space. "Weak in all aspects but his willpower. Always stood up to me no matter what I did, always aided those who needed it….When he died, he passed One for All, starting a legacy that continues down to your classmate Melissa. And his successor was the first true hero."
Izuku's wide eyes were now matched by a dropped jaw before the image of Yoichi turned into Hisashi Midoriya.
"On paper? Your father was nothing special. Content to be a salary-man, never training his fire-breath…But when he asked me for your mother's hand and I refused, even locking away your mother away? He was prepared to fight for what he wanted. So many would've buckled under me, but not him. And he kept his word: I never doubted for a second how happy he made your mother and how much he loved you. One of the few times I was happy to be wrong."
All for One chuckled.
"I see a lot of them in you and young miss Uravity, to be honest."
Izuku then remembered Ochako
"She needs you, my boy...THEY all need you...With you, they cannot lose!"
"Grandpa...?" Izuku asked but All for One had already cut the connection.
For a moment, Izuku was silent, unsure of what to say...then his emerald eyes gained a steely glint to them as he got out of bed and stormed downstairs, catching the attention of everyone.
"You know what?" He smirked. "Fuck the Committee!"
"Language, please," Ulquiorra said calmly, holding Spinel's ears.
"That's my boy!" Nedzu chuckled. "Now then...let us begin!"
SANCTUARY
"Now, go save the day." Nedzu announced. "Consider it your Mid-Term test."
It was a good thing they hadn't fixed the hole All Might had made….
As he watched his students race off, Nedzu turned to Rikkiya.
"I take it left your luitenants to handle things in your place?"
"Darn right." The son of Destro smirked as he got a message on his phone. "Oh, look at this?"
Both figure, despite being on opposite ends of the law spectrum beamed at pride and smirked as the imagined how the HPSC was going to try and cover this up:
SANCTUARY
Delka City
It had been over as quickly as it had begun. When your city is almost entirely populated by secret members of the Meta Liberation Army with only one noteworthy Pro in the area, the COVERS had stood no chance.
With Skeptic and his puppets controlling the flow of information, Geten had been the first to attack, freezing all water in the city to limit the COVERS movements so that Trumpet could make an announcement:
"Ragyo seems to believe clothes make the person. Well, I believe I speak for all when I say she is sadly mistaken: While not all of us are as fashionable as others, the clothes we wear are simply that without us: Clothes. Nice to look at and colorful, but without a host? Nothing. And we are not about to be felled by some thread terror parasite! We are each blessed with a unique ability, one that we train every day because it is not only our greatest strength, but because, contrary to the government, it is a basic right to do so! So friends, I implore of you: To hell with what the Government of HPSC says! Today, we fight for not just for ourselves, not for all of Japan…But for the future of the world! This is the dawn of the Meta Liberation Army's return, now show them what we have!"
That had been more than enough to incite the citizens into fighting back, giving Curious more than enough time to find the REVOCS building and, while her devoted fans defended her from the security protocols, she managed to destroy the building with her Quirk after a few well placed implosions.
The Meta Liberation Army had won.
SANCTUARY
"Move out!" Endeavour ordered as he stormed out the door, every sidekick in his employ following him.
Ragyo was right about one thing; it paid to come from money. All his sidekicks' costumes and his own came from a subsidiary of his late father's acquirements, which came from a Scottish goat farmer's company.
But this wasn't about him. No, this was about proving he still deserved to call himself a hero. And more than that, to prove he COULD be a man his children could look up to, failure of a father he was.
For a split second, the flames that decorated the #2's body shifted from crimson to azure, and he leapt downwards already spying several COVERS of low level Pros.
SANCTUARY
From their boarded-up bar lair, the League of Villains sat down to enjoy the chaos in the media room with drinks and snacks at the ready. They weren't getting involved in this fight. At least, that had been the plan until Tomura spied someone familiar leaving UA….
"Kurogiri?" Tomura asked his caregiver. "If Izuku…?"
"I'll warp you right away." The Mist man promised.
All for One, exhausted from the Soul Link, shifted his eyes to the tubes holding his daughter and son in law.
"You'd be…no, I know you're proud of him."
And for a split second before he returned his attention to the screen, he could've seen them flinch….
SANCTUARY
As all this was being said, a lanky figure wearing a blood-red scarf and covered in blades hummed as he listened to the announcement. Perched on a water tower and observing the chaos, he knew this would be the perfect cover for his next crusade.
"Fight on, Sanctuary...prove yourselves better than the Fakes who only fight for themselves and not others!"
Taking out a rusted katana, the Hero Killer Stain leaped off the water tower and dove into the alleys below, ready to find his next target...
SANCTUARY
Back at UA, Aizawa and Vlad had unknowingly mirrored themselves when they turned to their students and said:
"Head on out. You know yourselves better than anyone. And even if you can't fight, you can save lives."
Katsuki, Kendo and Shoto had been the first to race out of their chairs, immedatley spying their own costumes….
SANCTUARY
Shinketsu High
"ALL ABOARD! WE NEED TO PROVIDE AID IMMEDIATELY!" Roared a tall muscular dark-skinned man with neatly combed blonde hair, a white suit with three stars on it, and spiked pauldrons as several Second and Third-Year students began boarding SR-71 Blackbirds and taking off.
IRA GAMOGORI
'TOAD' OF THE SHINKETSU ELITE SIX
THIRD YEAR
QUIRK: EGO; HE CAN SHIFT HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH BASED ON HIS EMOTIONS, EVEN TURNING THAT STRENGTH INTO ENERGY ATTACKS!
"Gamagoori-Senpai! Everyone is present and accounted for!" A cute girl with brown hair in a bowl cut and wearing a black Bancho jacket and cap said as she made her way over to the tall man.
MAKO MANKANSHOKU
'SHARK' OF THE SHINKETSU ELITE SIX
THIRD YEAR
QUIRK: DEVOTION FUELLED STAMINA
"Very good, Mankanshoku! are Satsuki-sama and Ryuko-sama ready?!"
"We're right here."
Two Third-Year girls stepped in. The first had long black hair, an angular face, and rather thick eyebrows.
SATSUKI KURIYIN-MAOTOI
PRESIDENT OF THE SHINKTESU STUDENT AND SCHOOL COUNCILS
'TIGERESS' AND LEADER OF THE SHINKTESU ELITE SIX
QUIRK: THREAD DOMINATION
"It's time to put an end to Mother's schemes once and for all..." Satsuki Kiryuin, the oldest daughter of Ragyo, said with a furrowed brow. "She will pay for everything she has done!"
The other girl had mid-length black hair with a single left-swept red highlight on her bangs. Her blue eyes also had peculiar gear-like pupils with eight grooves around the edges.
RYUKO KURIYUIN-MATO
THIRD YEAR
'DRAGON' AND SECOND IN COMMAND OF THE SHINKETSU ELITE SIX
QUIRK: THREAD DEVOUR
"Hang on, Nui...we're coming, you damn annoying little sister!" Ryuko Matoi, the middle child of Ragyo, said as Mako moved to her side, holding her hand with a big silly smile.
"Awww yeah, let's kick some butt!"
A smile formed on Ryuko's face as she lead Mako to the jet.
"I can't wait until Auntie Ragyo sees how much we've grown." A Pink haired girl in a marching band outfit smirked in anticipation as she made her way over to Satsuki.
NONON JAKAZURE
THIRD YEAR
'PIG' OF THE SHINKETSU ELITE SIX
QUIRK: SYMPHONY; SHE CAN CONVERT SOUNDWAVES OF ANY KIND INTO ATTACKS AND USE THEM TO FLOAT!
"With all the data we received from Nedzu and Deternat, on top of Dr. Kiryuin's notes, I calculate this should be over by,…midnight at the latest." A blue haired young man wearing glasses smiled.
HOUKA INUMUTA
'DOG' OF THE SHINKETSU ELITE SIX
THIRD YEAR
QUIRK: PROBE
"I see only victory in the end." A green haired boy with a boken in his hands followed.
UZU SANAGAYAMA
'MONKEY' OF THE SHINKETSU ELITE SIX
THIRD YEAR
QUIRK: BLADE; HE CAN MANIFEST A BOKEN OR KATANA AT WILL!
With that, the Kiryuin Daughters and their Elite Six boarded their own Blackbird and took off, ready to take the fight to REVOCS, help Class Sanctuary, and bring an end to Ragyo's tyranny for good.
Devil Dragon Stand Knight A/N:
This is mostly made by Mrotrax since he came up with the Arc. I'm just the guy setting things up for him to make his own original magic on since I'm no good at this shit.
This is going to be a three-part Arc and we've already covered the first part in this chapter. Get ready for action, twists, and turns in the next part as well as the introduction to some new friends and foes!
Alright, Mrotrax, take it away!
Mrotrax A/N
And thus we begin the REVOCS war! And DDSK, I beg to differ on that 'not good at this' bit!
How's this for a start? Great work on DDSK's end.
A quick announcement before we call it a day on this story: Sanctuary Snippets will be up and running bright and early tomorrow with a few chapters! This is a collection of short stories part of the Sanctuary-verse and all canon unless otherwise stated. While DDSK and myself have a few already planned, feel free to offer your own ideas and suggestions in either reviews or PMs.
A link chapter to the fic will be posted.
