It was the first film Eddie had seen her sit through without either getting bored and walking off, or falling asleep. She was clearly flagging though. Eddie promised to clear up the dishes, knowing she would not go to bed without knowing it was in hand. She leaned on him up the stairs and he helped her into bed. "On Monday," she began, "will you thank Steph for me?"

"Really?" said Eddie, surprised.

"Yes, really," she confirmed. "I never really stopped to think about the impact on you of all of this."

"Well you had enough of your own to deal with," he said.

"Yes, I did, but you were by my side the whole time. You went through most of it with me."

Eddie knew he was not going to win a competition about which of them had had it easiest, so he decided to just go along with her. "I will thank Steph," he said, "but this has given me another idea for our rules."

Rachel turned her head, interested in what he had to say. "No work talk in the bedroom, ever," he said.

Rachel could only agree with that one, and was grateful that Eddie was clearly on board with the whole idea of boundaries. Whilst she found his relaxed attitude calming, it also worried her in the workplace. She was looking forward to getting back to work after the October half term, but could not help but feel a little nervous. Despite all the support she had received, she knew there would be a lot of talk about her past. Combine that with Eddie moving in, and she knew it could significantly damage her professional reputation. Keeping their relationship strictly professional at work really mattered now. She wished they could just shut everyone out of their personal lives, but she accepted that they could not hide that they were together.
