here it is, chapter no. four of my first ever crossover fanfiction as a parody of the Disney Channel original movie, 'Hocus Pocus'. this is a chapter in which Raimundo's family is finally introduced along with his own kid sister, Amara Pedrosa, a 'Xiaolin Showdown' original character who's basically the Danni Dennison of this 'Hocus Pocus' parody.

this fourth chapter of my first ever crossover fanfiction between 'Fruits Basket Another' and 'Xiaolin Showdown' is a full one-thousand-two-hundred-twelve words of pure storyline with no comments from yours truly under the guise of author's notes. this is a storyline that doesn't include the explanatory paragraph up above, this headnote, right here, which labels the number of words in this very chapter, or the disclaimer which makes up the following paragraph after this headnote.

disclamation: I don't own the 'Fruits Basket Another' manga series, except on paperback, that is. all rights for 'Fruits Basket' and its sequel series are due solely to Natsuki Takaya-sensei. I also don't own 'Xiaolin Showdown' in any way, shape, or form. all rights for that series and its beyond lousy reboot, 'Xiaolin Chronicles', are reserved solely for Christy Hui. I know, like the Fountain of Hui shen gong wu. if I, myself, were a gambler, I'd wager that she named that particular shen gong wu for herself. I also don't own the Halloween film 'Hocus Pocus' or its new sequel 'Hocus Pocus 2'. all ownership rights for the original are reserved for Disney Channel while the ownership rights for the sequel are reserved for Disney+.

That was when Raimundo heard a bell tolling in the distance and knew right away what it meant; he was expected to be home by now.

Raimundo Pedrosa: I shouldn't have taken the scenic route, at all. I should've known the scenic route would be trouble.

Raimundo managed to make it home in time for his mother and father to not be too angry with him. In fact, Mr. and Mrs. Pedrosa were far too wrapped up in emptying out their moving boxes to even notice that their son had come home a bit later than they probably would have expected of him otherwise.

Mrs. Ophelia Pedrosa: Ola, Raimundo, how was your day at school?

Raimundo Pedrosa: It sucked eggs, mãe!

Mr. Pedrosa did not like the attitude his son, Raimundo, was giving his wife, Ophelia.

Mr. Valentino Pedrosa: Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! You watch your language, young man!

Raimundo just walked up to his room.

Raimundo Pedrosa: I can't believe you made me move here!

The Pedrosa family's son walked into his bedroom door and just banged his hand against it.

Mrs. Ophelia Pedrosa: Oh, he wasn't wearing any shoes, dear.

Mr. Valentino Pedrosa: Oh, you know how kids are, honey. It's probably just some form of protest he's putting himself through after moving here.

When Raimundo finally made it into his room, he was welcomed by the only friends he could bring with him from Brazil; his pet chameleon, Rosalinda, and his iguana, Leah. Leah had been a local to their country, so she did not require much money to be paid for. Rosalinda, on the other hand, was quite the expense for the Pedrosas to have as a pet because she came from a pet store in Rio de Janeiro. While Raimundo acted like a playboy at school even in Japan, the only lady friends he really had were his lizards, and they just weren't enough to satisfy his desires for a real girlfriend. His own social status as nothing more than a lower-class citizen whose family owned and operated a circus was a such woman-repellent even back in Brazil. The girls had always gone for the guys with cold, hard cash in every part of the world, it seemed.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Hey, girls!

Raimundo held out a container of live mealworms for Rosalinda and a banana for Leah.

Raimundo Pedrosa (continued): Dinner's served. Bon Appetit, ladies.

Raimundo handed his lizards their entrées. Then, the Brazilian male teen made his way to his bed at last, where he could finally have nothing to do but lie down and daydream about girls. Every guy daydreamed about girls every once in a while, but Raimundo Pedrosa was just about ready to daydream about one girl in particular. He grabbed onto his pillow and began talking to the girl about whom he was daydreaming.

Raimundo Pedrosa (continued): Oh, Kimiko! You're so soft, and you smell like rainbows in heaven. I just wanna_

That was when Raimundo's closet door slid open of its own will it seemed as a little girl with a dark tan in a witch's costume came out.

Little witch girl: Boo!

After successfully spying on Raimundo from within his closet, the tan, little witch girl began giggling up a storm. Raimundo turned around to yell at the little girl.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Amara!

It was Raimundo's little sister, Amara Pedrosa. She plopped onto her brother's bed with him.

Amara Pedrosa: I scared you! I scared you! Ha, ha, ha, ha! I'm Kimiko. Kimiko. Kiss me, Raimundo, because I'm Kimiko!

Raimundo got off of his own bed at the thought of his kid sister pretending to be his dream girl.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Mãe and pãe told you to stay out of my room!

Amara Pedrosa: Don't be such a crab.

Amara finally got up from her lying position in her brother's bed and started jumping on it like a manic jumping bean.

Amara Pedrosa (continued): Guess what? You're gonna take me trick-or-treating.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Not this year, Amara.

Amara Pedrosa: Mãe says you have to.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Well, she can take you.

Amara Pedrosa: She and pãe are going to the party over at Tokyo Square, tonight.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Well, you're nine years old now. Go by yourself!

Raimundo headed over to his drum set from their deceased grandfather and began playing them if only to vent about hating his new life in Tokyo, Japan. Amara followed her older brother over to his drum set.

Amara Pedrosa: No way! It's my first time. I'll get lost! Besides, it's a full moon outside tonight, and all of the weirdos are gonna be out on the streets.

Amara then went around her brother's drums and held her arms over Raimundo's school uniform shirt.

Amara Pedrosa (continued): Come on, Mundo. Can't you just forget about being a cool teenager for one night? Please? Come on, we used to have so much fun together trick-or-treating, remember? It'll be just like old times.

Raimundo's only response to his little sister's request was shrugging Amara's arms off of his top.

Raimundo Pedrosa: Yeah, well, the old days are dead!

Amara Pedrosa: It doesn't matter what you say. You're taking me!

Raimundo Pedrosa: Wanna bet?!

Raimundo left Amara and his drum set and went over to his private space in the family's new house where he never let anyone else go. Amara just walked over to her brother before shrieking out 'Mãeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!' out into the house for the whole family to hear her screams towards her brother's protests against taking her trick-or-treating. Long story short, Raimundo wound up having to go out and go along with his kid sister, Amara, anyway.

Mr. Valentino Pedrosa: Let's go, kids! Hurry up! The bewitching hour's about to begin!

Amara rushed her father while in her witch costume.

Mr. Valentino Pedrosa (continued): Very scary, Amara! You are very scary, my little girl!

Then, Valentino looked at his son, Raimundo, as his wife, Ophelia, kissed his cheek. Compared to Amara, who looked very scary yet cute in her little witch costume, her elder brother, Raimundo, looked neither scary nor cute like they liked on Halloween in Japan.

Mr. Valentino Pedrosa (continued): What about you, Raimundo my son? What are you supposed to be?

Raimundo Pedrosa: A rap singer.

Mr. Valentino Pedrosa: Oh.

Valentino approached Raimundo about his supposed 'costume' and tried to help his son wear it the right way.

Mr. Valentino Pedrosa (continued): Well then, your hat should be on sideways.

Valentino adjusted Raimundo's hat to face the right way for a rap singer, not realizing that it was really a disguise to avoid being noticed by anyone from his new school taking Amara out trick-or-treating on Halloween. Ophelia was just getting into the mood for the holiday.

Mrs. Ophelia Pedrosa: Say 'Halloween'!

Valentino and Amara were only too happy to respond to Ophelia's photographic request.

Mr. Valentino and Amara Pedrosa: Halloween!

Raimundo, on the other hand, just wanted the evening to be over.
