As Ritsuka went to sleep, Rin could only sigh to herself. The Holy Grail War hadn't even started yet and things were already getting complicated. "Shinji, we need to talk,"
"Oh, here to praise me for my investigation skills? Perhaps you want to go out with me now?" Shinji asked in a smug tone, his face only slightly deflating as he stared at Rin's unamused face. "It was worth a shot…,"
"Uh huh," Rin shook her head. "Anyways, since you seem to be buddy buddy with him, what do you know about Fujimaru?" Shinji's face fell, before the boy thought to himself, nodding. No, it made sense she wanted to know about him. She was the Second Owner of this land, and Ritsuka was a stranger that seemed to be hiding things. Just because it made sense, that didn't mean he had to like it.
"What do you wanna know about him?" Shinji asked, before realizing this was a great opportunity to throw Ritsuka under the bus and make himself look much better in Rin's eyes! "How he's so paranoid he thinks the world is in danger? The fact he claims himself from an alternative timeline?" Rin raised an eyebrow as Shinji continued. "He's delusional, nothing to get yourself worked up over,"
"... And yet you helped him do all that research for something that's a 'delusion'," Rin countered, causing Shinji to hiss. "Really, you're smart, but you're so stupid, Shinji,"
"Shut up! I don't gotta take this from you!" Shinji yelled, his hand twitching as he felt the urge to slap the woman in front of him, but he held himself back. He had no control here, no power on his side, he couldn't just go pretending like he did. With a huff, he stormed off down the hall. Rin didn't answer him after that, instead turning back to Shirou, deciding to leave the mystery of Ritsuka for later. After all, she was going to go on a mission with him soon, and any doubts she had would simply be poison to their temporary alliance.
Steeling her resolve, she sat at the table, waiting for Shirou to sit down as well. "Tohsaka," Shirou spoke up before Rin could speak, confusing the girl. "I didn't really get a chance to say it between the lessons and lunch, but thanks for helping me out," He smiled at her. Rin looked up at him, putting a hand on her hip.
"Why are you thanking me?" She asked sharply, causing Shirou to blink in confusion.
"Well, you're helping me, aren't you?" He answered honestly.
"Shirou. After you finish your summoning, you'll be a Master of the Holy Grail War, a literal fight to the death. That'll make us enemies," She explained like a teacher telling a child why two plus two equaled four. Shirou raised an eyebrow.
"Then why even help me at all? You could just let me die to Illya and not worry about us becoming enemies," He countered.
"... You could say I have some emotional flab," Rin admitted. "Doing something like that leaves a horrible taste in my mouth,"
"Emotional flab? Tohsaka, are you saying that you're fat?" He asked bluntly. Rin looked at him with a very annoyed smile and incredulous look.
"You're a funny boy… Alright, Emiya, let's get back to work then, shall we?" Rin stiffly stated as she handed him a gemstone. "We'll first make sure you're channeling your Od through your circuits correctly. If you do it right, it'll glow. Too much, it'll explode, not enough, nothing will happen," Shirou blinked as he held the gemstone.
"This… looks expensive,"
"It is," Rin confirmed.
"... Maybe we shouldn't be using something like this, Tohsaka," Shirou suggested nervously.
"Ooooh? Are you afraid you'll mess up, Emiya?" Rin asked in a teasing voice. "Just get it right the first time, and there'll be no problems," Shirou gulped, closing his eyes as he took a deep breath, focusing his mind. He mentally went over what Tohsaka taught him earlier, visualizing the hammer of a gun going off. The gem he was holding began to glow brighter and brighter, shining like a star… until it shattered into a million pieces. The redheaded boy could only gulp as he looked up at his teacher, who had what seemed to be an annoyed smile.
"You better be more careful, Em-i-ya," She put emphasis on each syllable as she slid him another gem, causing Shirou to sigh. He really hoped he didn't have to pay her back.
The hours passed, and Ritsuka had a dreamless sleep. He wanted to sleep more, but a voice dragged him out of the realm of rest back into the world of the living. With a sigh and a groan, he rolled over, looking at Rin, who came to wake him up… and was looking at him very oddly.
"What?" Ritsuka muttered sleepily. "Is there something on my face?"
"Not on your face, on your chest, you moron!" A muffled voice called out to him. At that moment, Ritsuka realized that his arms were wrapped around something… or rather, someone, and he was holding them close to his chest. Looking down, he saw a very angry looking Shinji glaring up at him.
"I didn't realize this is how you felt," Ritsuka joked. "I don't mind, you're not the first person to fall for my below average looks and average charm," He let go of him as Shinji scrambled away from Ritsuka, red in the face from anger.
"I-I…," Shinji gritted his teeth as he knew there was no right answer for him here. He either had to admit he tried searching Ritsuka's body for the Book before the boy had grabbed him and refused to let go, or risk looking like the wrong kind of pervert. He still couldn't believe how ripped Ritsuka was. He couldn't break out of the boy's grip no matter how hard he tried. "You know, claiming that you're below average is an insult to your little sister, isn't it, Tohsaka?" He tried to steer the conversation away from all this. That was the best he could do.
"What? Nah," Ritsuka shook his head. "Tohsaka's a girl, that bumps her cuteness up at least five extra points," Rin's face turned red as she heard Ritsuka.
"Wh-what are you all blabbing about?!" Rin yelled before she turned to storm out. "I swear every boy in this house is an idiot!"
"Damn, that's another coin in the 'idiot jar' when I get back to Chaldea," Ritsuka said with a chuckle. He looked at Shinji expectantly, who just stared blankly for a few seconds.
"What?"
"Well, I thought you were going to ask about the idiot jar,"
"Frankly, at this point, I've just hit a real 'I don't wanna know anymore' stage in our relationship," Shinji admitted with a tired sigh.
"Fair enough," Ritsuka mentioned with a shrug as he left the room, leaving Shinji behind to sit on the bed. Meanwhile, the Master of Chaldea headed to his room, sliding open the door to see Jack holding the Book of the False Attendant in her hand, riding on Rider's shoulders. Rider didn't seem amused, but she also didn't seem like she had a choice at the moment.
"Mommy! We're taller than you now!" Jack said with a smile. Ritsuka smiled and reached out for her.
"Yeah, you really are. But we have to go make sure Auntie Medea isn't being mean to everyone else now," Jack nodded, leaping off Rider's shoulders and landing in Ritsuka's arms.
"Then we're going to attack Medea?" Rider asked as she went to take off her glasses.
"Well, actually," Ritsuka put Jack down as he went to dig through his bag, "I need you to stay behind," He pulled out his Combat Uniform, slipping out of his Chaldea uniform to change into it. "Now that we know that there are these bugs and they're really out to get people, I need someone who can fight to make sure those bugs don't get anyone here. Can you do that for me?" He asked as he finished zipping up his Combat Uniform. Medusa looked over Ritsuka before nodding.
"If that's what you wish me to do, Master," Rider said with a nod.
"Thanks Rider. Hopefully we won't be gone for more than a few hours," Ritsuka gave her a thumbs up as he grabbed Jack's hand, the two walking out to the living room, where Rin and Archer waited for them. "Alright, you all ready to go?" He asked with a confident smile.
"Before we head out, there's something we must know," Archer asked as he placed a hand in front of Rin to stop her from walking forward. "You have a plan, do you not? Or are you leading us in blindly? If you're blindly leading my Master into enemy territory, then I will have to cut off our alliance here, Fujimaru Ritsuka,"
"Archer!" Rin snapped, angry that her Servant was saying these things without consulting her, but Ritsuka only nodded in response.
"Don't worry about it Rin, I completely get where Archer is coming from," After all, he'd be far more worried if Archer wasn't acting like a mother hen to his Master. "Jack investigated the mountain last night, and while she was there, she was able to confirm that Assassin and Caster seem to be working together, and that the identity of them are Sasaki Kojiro and Medea," He rubbed the back of his head as he sighed. "To be honest, it's likely Medea is watching us even now, and preparing some sort of attack, but that's all the more reason we need to hit her now. The more time we give her, the more powerful her defenses can become. And frankly, because she might be watching us right now, I can come up with too complex of a plan besides 'keep her off balance by a barrage of attacks', which, between the four of us, I think we can do,"
Archer's gaze narrowed as he looked over Ritsuka, looking for any sign of deception or incompetence. After a few tense seconds, he lowered his arm. "Very well. If my Master still wishes to work with you, I have no objections,"
"I didn't need your permission," Rin muttered as she coughed into her hand. "Anyways, let's go. We can't afford to waste any more time,"
"Jack, run on ahead and get into a good position," Ritsuka bent down and whispered into her ear. With a nod, Jack ran off, vanishing into the night. Archer opted to transform into his spirit form as the two Masters headed out into the night, the moon brightly illuminating the night as it stood in the sky like a silent sentinel.
The walk over was quiet, which gave Ritsuka time to think. He needed a way to get past Kojiro, but… his Shadows weren't strong enough to just brute force their way through, and Kojiro was on an entire different level when it came to skill. Even if he was to summon a genius of the sword, he had no guarantee they could match Kojiro.
There was only one person he had that could match him for sure, but there was a problem. He held out his hand, the Command Seals glowing as he tried to summon her forth, to bring back to this world even a shadow of a woman he held so dear. Many times he had tried it before, and the end result was always the same. This time was no different.
He couldn't even summon a Shadow of Miyamoto Musashi. She was truly gone from the world.
"Fujimaru? Is everything okay?" Rin asked as she looked at the boy she was traveling with. Ritsuka looked at her, rubbing one of his eyes with a weak chuckle.
"Everything's fine. I just keep hoping for miracles when I really should know better," He admitted. "So when we get to Kojiro, I want you and Archer to let me take care of him. We should save both of your strength for the real fight," Rin wasn't sure if she liked the idea, but she had to admit this would let her see what exactly Fujimaru's magecraft was.
"If it gets to be too much, I will step in," Rin stated defiantly.
"Alright, that's fair," Ritsuka agreed as they continued to walk. The night was quiet despite the tense feeling in the atmosphere. "It's too quiet," Ritsuka muttered as they kept walking. "I expected at least some Dragon Tooth Warriors on our way there,"
"She might be confident enough in her victory that she doesn't think she needs it," Rin offered.
"That's even more worrying, to be honest," The conversation was cut short by the two approaching the bottom of the stairs. With a deep breath, Ritsuka craned his neck back to stare at the top of the mountain. "No turning back now," He said as he walked up the stairs.
Climbing the stairs was much less perilous than the two Masters had expected, not one trap laid in their way as they slowly approached closer to heaven with each step. On one hand, that seemed almost careless, like Medea was a ditz for overlooking such a critical step. However, Ritsuka knew the true reason was because what awaited them at the top of the stairs.
"You're a brave lot, I'll give you that," Kojiro called out to the group, the wandering samurai standing at the very top in front of the gate. "Attacking headfirst almost immediately, only the very brave or the very foolish would do that," He laughed cooly as he drew his sword, a long katana known as Monohoshizao. "If you wish to pass this gate, however, you'll have to force your way through!"
"Tsk," Ritsuka clicked his tongue as he raised a hand up. "I accept your challenge, Sasaki Kojiro!" For a second, Kojiro looked over the boy, before another cool laugh escaped his lips.
"Ah, you must be the stargazer my Master told me to watch out for," Kojiro smiled as he approached the group, walking down the stairs slowly. "A man from another timeline, a man with a strange magecraft that allows him to summon shadows of Servants… Fujimaru Ritsuka, was it?" Ritsuka ignored the look Rin was giving him, allowing himself to be swept up in the moment, and instead calling out to the wraith before him.
"I am Fujimaru Ritsuka, the last Master of Chaldea," He confirmed. "And as a Master of Chaldea, I've walked across so many different timelines, seen so many worlds… and in one of those worlds, I saw you and Miyamoto Musashi duel…,"
"Ooooh?" Kojiro stood up straight, relaxing his sword as he heard that. "And how was it?"
"Beautiful," Ritsuka answered. "A sword of infinity vs a sword of zero, clashing with flawless forms and techniques. It really was a fight someone could only see once in a lifetime," He could feel his eyes getting wet… was he crying? He wiped away the tears, ignoring the new looks Rin was giving him. "I'd love to give you the fulfilment of fighting Musashi, and see that fight again… but…," He clenched his fist. "I'm sorry, she's not with me anymore…," He looked to the sky. "She vanished after finally reaching the absolute pinnacle of her sword… cutting down the Abyss itself…"
"So that's how she lived her life, was it?" Kojiro said, not even commenting on the discrepancy of Musashi's gender. "That's a beautiful end for someone like her…,"
"Yeah…," He held up his right hand. "So, forgive me for not summoning her, but there is someone else I believe you would enjoy fighting," His Command Seals glowed as he summoned a Shadow Servant, a wandering samurai wielding a sword of infinity. Kojiro only had a smile as he watched the Shadow version of himself appear.
"So, you wish to fight fire with fire? Well, that is interesting indeed," The shadow rushed forward, the two long swords clashing against each other in a brilliant display, two streaks of silver slicing through the air. The two invaders looked for some sort of opening, some sort of way to slip past the two duelists, but their long swords and quick movements made it so there was barely any space for air to slip through, let alone a person.
Each time a Kojiro would attack, the other would parry the blow. Whenever an opening was revealed, it was quickly covered. Truly, the two were evenly matched, darting around the stairs like swallows as they tried to gain an advantage through the terrain. The air was filled with the sound of clashing steel as the two transient warriors, one only a wraith, and the other, a shadow of that wraith, stood completely even, unable to overpower the other.
And then the sounds stopped.
As calm as still waters, the two reflected each other as they took a stance, staring down their opponent. As the wind blew past them, under the full moon in the sky, in a moment that felt frozen in time, the wraith and the shadow were preparing to do the impossible. A skill the two had spent their whole lives refining, a technique that tapped into the Multi-Dimensional Refraction Phenomenon in order to strike at three places in one swing, an attack of the highest caliber gained by nothing but their sweat and their determination.
"Hiken," Kojiro narrowed his eyes as he watched his Shadow. "Tsubame Gaeshi!" At that moment, reality bent, taking a knee to accommodate a simple farmer's attack. In one world, a Kojiro swung left. In another, a Kojiro raised his sword and swung down. And in one final world, a Kojiro swung from the right. An inescapable prison of steel was created, one that brought only death with its release. After all, what could challenge infinity?
Infinity itself. At the moment Kojiro swung, his Shadow did the same. A swing from the left. A swing from above. A swing from the right. At that moment, the Shadow had also attacked three times in a single swing, the six blades colliding in mid flight and blocking each other. For once in many timelines, the unbeatable prison had been blocked by pure skill alone, without the use of a Mystic Eye or Instinct.
"Well, well, well. This is the most interesting fight I had this entire war," Kojiro admitted as he disengaged from his opponent. "If only we had more space on these stairs. I had one more trick up my sleeve to try, but alas, this will have to do for now," He dashed forward, swinging at his Shadow again, pushing against the Shadow's block and causing the two to move to one side of the stairs. "Oh, a gap, how careless of me. This shadow requires my full attention, so I suppose I'll have to let you all pass to the gate."
Ritsuka didn't even get a word out before Rin took the opening, rushing past Kojiro and heading up to the gate. Ritsuka quickly followed, the two Masters rushing through the gates and into the temple grounds itself. In contrast to the sounds of swords clashing on the stairs below, not a single sound could be heard in the courtyard, the eerie silence hanging in the air like a heavy blanket. In the middle of the courtyard stood Medea, her purple robes looking menacing in the night, the hood over her head making it hard to see what expression she was making.
"Damn, what the hell is that Assassin doing?!" Medea cursed as she noticed them approaching.
"Well. Don't get too mad, Medea." Archer stated as he materialized into the world, standing by Rin. "His hands are simply full with an enemy that perfectly matches him, surely that's enough reason for some leeway," Medea pondered his words before her head moved to Ritsuka.
"So, that must be your doing, boy." She said as Ritsuka nodded.
"Got it in one. I'm going to cut to the chase, Medea." Ritsuka stated. "I am an outsider to this Grail War. I have no stakes in it, but I can't overlook you hurting all those innocent people. Either stop collecting magical energy from the town, or we'll stop you with force,"
"Oh? You think you can threaten me here in this place, boy? In my own temple?" Medea asked in an amused tone.
"I'd rather we didn't resort to violence at all," Ritsuka retorted. "Please, stop this."
"I told you already, didn't I?" Medea's smile had turned very sadistic. "This is my temple. Isn't it the people's duty to offer me sacrifices?" Rin's eyes widened at that remark, and Archer began to quietly move to a new position while Medea was distracted. "This is all for my wish, I'm sure even a magus like you can under-,"
"Medea," Ritsuka's gentle voice cut through the night, the boy staring into the Caster's eyes. "You know better than anyone else. It doesn't matter how good your intentions are. If you throw away the lives of others around you, then all your good intentions will all come crashing down around you in the end, no matter how well you planned all of it."
For a split second, Medea of Colchis didn't see a young Japanese man addressing her. Instead, she saw a young boy with purple hair, someone she dearly loved that never got to grow up. Someone that she betrayed, someone that was part of the entire reason she was fighting in this war.
"Don't pretend you know what you're talking about." Medea said in a dangerous tone. "Talking about me with such familiarity isn't very safe,"
"Fujimaru, this isn't working out," Rin whispered to him, causing Ritsuka to hold up a hand.
"She's not a monster," Ritsuka said calmly. "She's just desperate to have a wish granted, but the lengths she's going to are too far." He stared down Medea once more. "I won't let you make that same mistake again, Medea,"
Medea's fist tightened when that image of the young boy flashed on top of Ritsuka again.
"Stop it...," She held up her hand, magic circles forming around her hand. "Someone like you, who summoned a man like him, now trying to use the memories of my brother to convince me to abandon my happiness? Negotiations are over. You're here as trespassers, so I'll clean my courtyard of you," Ritsuka sighed as he held up his right hand.
"So I guess negotiations have broken down… I didn't expect to happen so fast, I'll admit. Go Jack," He commanded. Medea was quick to turn her body around. Of course! The other Assassin! Where the hell was she-?
A rain of arrows from Archer forced Medea to move, twisting her body to avoid the attacks. Archer's eyes widened as something caught his eyes. No, that was impossible, wasn't it? Before he could question it further, he saw Jack appearing out of the shadows, slashing at Medea, getting her in the back. The small child went to rush back to the shadows, Medea holding out a hand as she prepared to fire a magical beam at her…
Only to see a blur of movement catch her attention. She whipped her head around to see the form of Jason rushing at her, sword draw to stab her. She began to see red as a dozen magic circles appeared around her.
"YOU DARE SHOW YOURSELF TO ME?!" She screamed as she fired off all twelve beams at once, instantly deleting the fake Jason off the face of the earth. The second the beams went off, Rin flicked a light blue gem at Medea's face, Medea turning a raising a hand to stop it, but the gem exploded into a bright light, temporarily blinding the spellcaster. Archer took this opportunity to move perches, leaping to another rooftop and firing off another arrow at Medea, nailing her in the back of the head.
Such a blow wasn't enough to finish off the Medea however, the woman regaining her sight in time to see Jack trying to attack her from the front, slashing at her. However, Medea's body was covered in a dense fog, the Servant vanishing into thin air. Ritsuka gritted his teeth, looking around, trying to find where Medea had gone before she could do a sneak attack on him.
"Fujimaru! Look up!" Rin called out as she readied a Gandr. He looked up to the sky, seeing the moon was now gone, and seas of clouds drifted through the night sky, swallowing the stars. Medea floated in the middle of it all, as if she reigned over the heavens themselves. She had no signs of any of the damage they had inflicted on her earlier. That… wasn't something he ever saw his Medea do before.
"Teleportation? Or maybe innate time control?" Archer mused. "So within these walls you can mimic True Magic. Consider me impressed."
"And I think less of all of you," Medea retorted. "I thought maybe you all would be useful, especially the stargazer from another timeline, but it seems that was far too much to hope for," She began to fire off many beams of magecraft, forcing everyone to start moving. Jack easily slipped around each attack, her speed allowing her to avoid the attacks, while Archer barely managed to deflect a beam with his twin blades while avoiding the rest with graceful acrobatics.
As he flipped, a streak of red caught his eyes, causing Archer's eyes to narrow. He couldn't see what it was, but he knew it was coming from Medea. He didn't like the ideas forming in his head.
Ritsuka and Rin took cover behind a building, out of Medea's sight. "Okay, Rin," Ritsuka looked at his hand as he began to summon another Shadow Servant. "I'm going to distract her. Tell Archer to prepare some sort of trump card, alright?"
He didn't give Rin time to answer as he rushed back out to the battlefield with a Shadow Atalante following close behind him. "Atalante, offer to Apollo and Artemis your offerings!" Medea's head jerked in their direction in time to see a Shadow of her only friend notching two arrows on her bow, aiming into the night sky, and firing straight into the clouds.
Not even a second later, the sky was filled with what looked like hundreds of green stars, all falling to earth and right on top of Medea. Gritting her teeth, Medea put up a barrier, the hundreds of arrows colliding into it harmlessly. At that moment, it clicked to her. If this was the real Atalante, her barrier would have actually been strained, might have even shattered under such force, but this, this was much weaker. So those Shadows weren't as strong as real Servants. Then what was that Master trying to accomplish?
Her answer came in the form of a chant. "I am the bone of my sword…," Archer chanted as he projected a sword, twisting its form and shape into an arrow. "...Durindana!" He fired off the legendary weapon of Hector's, the mighty spear that was stopped only by Rho Ais's full power, as an arrow that tore through Medea's barrier like butter, the weapon piercing her through her side, taking out a huge chunk of her body with it. With a scream of pain, Medea fell to the ground, crashing ungracefully to the ground.
Jack rushed up to her, leaping into the air and ready to bring down her knives into Medea's chest, but the Caster managed to roll to the side, the attack missing completely. The dark mist engulfed Medea again, and she teleported away, this time standing by the entrance of the main temple, hiding herself out of Archer's sight, and being far away enough from everyone else so that she slowly began to recover.
"You seem to be having a hard time, Caster," Ritsuka clicked his tongue as he saw that one teacher, Kuzuki, standing by Caster. He thought the man was weird, but being the Master of Caster was not what he expected.
"Souichirou… you shouldn't be here, it's too dangerous," Medea said as Rin saw an opening. She charged a Gandr, firing it at Caster's Master, the projectile sailing through the air like a bullet. However, before it could hit its mark, Medea swung her cloak, the cloth hitting the curse and dissipating it.
"It seems they do not intend to let me leave," Kuzuki commented as he took a step forward.
"I suppose not," Medea relented. "At least, go after the boy. He's the most annoying one right now," She paused, once again seeing her brother superimposed over Ritsuka. "But… don't kill him, only disable him," Kuzuki nodded in acknowledgement before he suddenly moved forward, his speed far greater than any human. Ritsuka's eyes widened as he saw the teacher move. Was Medea enhancing him?!
He didn't have time to think, and he had no easy answer like with Heracles, he just had to move. The man was moving faster than any human could, but Ritsuka could take advantage of that. That wasn't his natural speed, after all, so he wouldn't be used to it, and that could allow Ritsuka the decisive strike needed to end this quickly! He knew one martial art that would provide that exact decisive strike.
He slipped into a boxer's stance, remembering Chiron's training as he took a step forward, launching his right fist as his torso and hips twisted, adding even more power to the straight. His fist was like a train speeding ahead at full force, and he could see what would happen. Kuzuki would get in close, and Ritsuka's fist-
Instantly got smashed with a sickening crunch as Kuzuki sandwiched it between his knee and elbow. Ritsuka could only let out a scream of pain, but it seemed his suffering wasn't going to stop there. Kuzuki raised his arm, and with terrifying force, swung down, breaking Ritsuka's arm clean in half. Ritsuka's scream of pain only intensified as he felt his bones break, his arm hanging uselessly at his side as Kuzuki let go of his limb.
"Get away from Mommy!" Jack's blood curdling scream filled the courtyard as she charged at Kuzuki, knives drawn as she went to stab the man that assaulted her mother. Kuzuki's sharp eyes saw her coming, and he whipped around, his arm a blur as his arm twisted through the air and his hand struck her in the back of the neck, causing the child to stumble. He then threw more strikes at Jack, the sheer speed of his limbs unbelievable as he beat down the small child.
He then broke off from the attack, avoiding a Gandr shot from Rin as he spun around, throwing a kick at Ritsuka, the boy moving to stop Kuzuki from attacking Jack. Ritsuka, despite the pain he found himself in, managed to duck under the kick, which he quickly followed up by springing up to his feet in an attempt to headbutt Kuzuki. The teacher was engulfed in the dark mist, the teleportation that brought him to the fully healed Medea's side allowing him to avoid the arrows Archer shot.
Gritting his teeth, Archer ran to get back to Rin, taking one last look at Medea and Kuzuki. That's when he saw it. That streak of red… they were...
"Rin! Ritsuka!" Archer called out in a panic as he rushed to get to the two's side. "She has Command Seals!"
"Oh? It seems you have discovered my secret, Archer! Indeed, I am not the Master of one, but two Servants!" She cackled as she raised her hand up high, revealing Command Seals in the shape of a crown. "Curse the day you decided to stand against me and drown in your despair! Come and release your Noble Phantasm, my Saber!" Medea's voice rang out through the entire courtyard, causing all the heroes to freeze in place. A broken arm, a sudden losing battle in a place with so much mana... it was hard to imagine how it could get worse.
However, the moment Medea said that phrase, that's when Ritsuka realized it just got much worse.
The air grew tense as out from the temple walked a knight in black armor, a mask over their face. Ritsuka could barely breathe as he saw them march forward, raising their weapon over their head. Standing before him was a holy sword, but instead of a holy light, it was engulfed in darkness like the night. The wielder of it also was very familiar to Ritsuka. Despite her darkness, she was a great ally, one he trusted absolutely. As an enemy though…
"Excalibur-,"
She was nothing but a ruthless dragon.
"MORGAN!"
