Draco lay in his and Harry's bed, Blaise and Ginny finally had headed out, with promises to see them at the burrow for their next Sunday dinner there. Draco took the moments alone to focus on his breathing, laying flat on his back, eye closed, breathing in the scent on Harry's pillow.

He could hear Harry out in the kitchen finishing the dishes and clean up from their evening, humming to himself. He had sent Draco to lay down, knowing that he was a bit over stimulated from the whole event. He had kissed him on the nose and sent him to the bedroom.

Draco lay there, thinking about what Harry had said to him. Hogwarts. Minerva wanted Harry to return to Hogwarts and teach. Of course she did. Who better to teach defense against the dark arts than the boy who lived more times than statistically possible. The man had faced more dark curses and evil to last someone a hundred life times.

Harry loved Hogwarts. While Draco was laying in St. Mungo's, barely responding, Harry had filled the silence with telling him everything about his life before Hogwarts, and then many of the adventures he had inside the castle walls. He knew that would always be Harrys true home, the way the man spoke about that place, there was no denying it. Harry had told him about the awful muggles who had cared for him, and how he never knew about magic until Hagrid had showed up to take him to Hogwarts.

Draco felt the bed dip and a hand ghost up his arm and over his shoulder. He heard Harrys breath hitch.

"Do you have any idea how beautiful you are? Sometimes I can't believe I'm so lucky to call you all mine. I look at you, and my chest gets tight, and I just want to shout to anyone who will listen that I love you."

At Harrys words, Draco rolled to his side and opened his eyes to see his boyfriend laying on his side, facing him, smiling like a loon. His emerald eyes shining bright, always looking at Draco like he had one the best prize from one of the muggle game shows they watched together.

"You know, sometimes I wonder if a curse hit you a bit too hard and addled your brain." Draco let a coy smile pull at the corners of his lips. Harry was always such a mush.

"Maybe. But if that's the case, I'm okay with it. I rather have a wonky brain and be in love with you, than live in a world that it was any different. " Harry carefully reached out and touched Draco's cheek. "Dray, can I kiss you?"

Draco watched the mans eyes, seeing them full of admiration and love. Harry was really too good for him. Patient and kind as he healed. Never pushing or rushing the process. He knew this couldn't have been easy. They went from having an active sex life, like two randy teenagers, to barely holding hands.

He heard Harry sometimes sneak off to the shower for a quick morning wank, Draco would pretend to stay asleep as he listened to his boyfriend whisper his name in completion, before crawling back into bed and holding Draco like nothing had every happened.

How the man could be so selfless was beyond him. No one else would be this kind, this patient and understanding. Harry was a good man who deserved the world.

Draco didn't respond, he just moved forward gently and closed his eyes letting his lips connect to Harrys. Though a small rise of panic settled into his chest, he had to trust Harry. To know his limits and boundaries. The kiss stayed slow and tender, Harry allowing Draco to take the lead.

Draco pulled back, cupping Harrys face. "Harry I love you, more than I have ever loves a single person in my life before. You a truly the perfect partner in every aspect of the word. It's time that I give back to you, for everything you have done, and continue you to do. Harry, I want you to accept Minerva's offer. Before you argue," he held up his hand placing a finger to Harry's lips before he could protest.

"You have dreams too. We both know you didn't want to work on the Auror department. You don't want to fight and chase dark wizards. Never have. Teaching though... that you are amazing at. Back in school, teaching all your friends how to protect themselves, then in the Auror program you taught all the trainees. I can not, and I will not stand in your way of those dreams. You deserve this Harry, to be in your home, surrounded by the things that you love, doing what will bring you joy everyday. I could never forgive myself if you turn it down, just to sit home and take care of me." Draco lowered his hand but cupped the man's chin, " whatever life has in store for us, we will figure it out. I would love for you to be in the bakery with me, but you would be lying to me and yourself by denying what you truly want. Accept the offer Harry. We will figure it out. We will be okay. This is your moment Harry. Don't let it pass by. I'll be here, rooting you on every step of the way. I promise. "

Draco leaned in and pressed his lips a little more firmly to Harry's. For the first time, Draco let his tongue dart out, asking for permission to explore. Once granted access, Draco kissed his boyfriend, remapping every part of his mouth, until they were both left breathless, foreheads planted together. This wouldn't be an easy journey, Draco wasn't sure what he would do with Harry so far away, but he knew if he kept him here, he would never really be happy. If Harry wasn't happy, their lives would fall apart. That was the point of love wasn't it? To be selfless in all aspects, and in return your partner would do the same.

"I love you Draco Lucius Malfoy." Harry whispered against his lovers lips.

"And I love you Harry James Potter. We will figure this out together." For the first time in weeks, Draco felt the truth in those words, and safe in his lovers arms.
