And we're back with the main group again. I won't keep you waiting, enjoy the chapter.

The group woke up to a bright new day. They didn't waste any time in heading for the gym, but they were surprised to see a man locking the doors to the gym.

This man had dark brown skin, black hair that was cut short and intense brown eyes. His clothes seem to contradict his appearance, he wore a bright orange vest and bright blue pants.

"Excuse me, but why are you closing the gym?" Julia asked.

"Hm? Oh, I usually close the gym around this time, I need to head over to the Pokemon House." The man answered.

"So you're the gym leader?" Diego asked curiously.

"That's right! The name's Solomon Giles, gym leader of Lavender Town!" Solomon replied proudly.

"Well my name is Renée! This is my sister Julia and our friend Diego!" Renée introduced.

"It's a pleasure, since you came to the gym I'm guessing you came to challenge me?"

"Yeah, but you said you were going somewhere so I guess we'll have to wait..." Diego stated, Solomon thought for a moment before getting an idea.

"Well why don't you come with me to the Pokemon House? We could use an extra set of hands!" Solomon proposed, the group's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Sure that sounds like fun!" Julia replied excitedly.

Meanwhile, Jack had wandered into the Pokemon House already. There were a few people playing with the pokemon there, an elderly man noticed Jack and walked up to him.

"May I help you with something young man?" The old man asked.

"Oh no, I was just looking around town. I should probably be going." Jack answered.

"No no no my dear boy, it's perfectly fine! In fact we would be delighted if you could stay for a while! The pokemon here are ones left abandoned by their trainers, this building is a safe haven for them, we care for them in the hopes that they will someday find a trainer that will raise them with love and care." The man explained. "Oh! Where are my manners, I forgot to introduce myself! I am Mr. Fuji, owner of the Pokemon House."

"My name is Jack, it's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Fuji." Jack greeted, shaking Mr. Fuji's hand.

"Likewise Jack, please come with me, there is a pokemon that needs some tending to." Mr. Fuji said, suddenly a younger man ran into the building, he seemed frantic.

"Mr. Fuji! There's trouble!" The man yelled.

"Billy? What's the problem?"

"There's a commotion down in the basement of the House of Memories! It has something to do with a wild Shuppet!"

"Shuppet? But those are extremely rare in Kanto. What would one be doing here? This isn't natural, Jack I may need your help. We must hurry!" Mr. Fuji announced, the three of them ran as quickly as they could over to the House of Memories.

A few moments after they left, Solomon and the others entered the Pokemon House.

"This is it, this is where we provide care for any and all pokemon that have been abused by their trainers. They can live here and play with each other they can find a responsible trainer that can show them love and compassion." Solomon explained. As Solomon showed them around, a Pikachu seemed to take interest in Diego. This Pikachu was female and had a flower in its hair, it ran over to Diego's feet. Shockingly (no pun intended) Diego recognized the Pikachu!

"Huh? Chuchu? What are you doing here?" Diego asked the yellow mouse.

"Diego! I'm so happy to see you sweetie! You've come very far!" Someone said, two women approached Diego. One of them wore a yellow and black dress, her hair was long and blond and she wore a straw hat. The other girl wore a light blue shirt and beige shorts, her hair was blond as well, though it had purple highlights. The lady in the dress embraced Diego, who looked rather rather shocked to see these women.

"J-Janie? Mom?! What are you two doing here?" Diego asked, a bit embarrassed.

"Mom?" Julia and Renée asked simultaneously.

"Hehe, yeah. Girls, this is my mom and my big sister." Diego replied.

"It's a pleasure to meet you girls! Please, call me Mrs. Yellow." Diego's mom said. "As for why we're here, we started coming here every few days since you left for the Academy."

"The name's Janie, Electric - type specialist and member of the Kanto Elite Four!" Diego's sister greeted.

"It's nice to meet you two!" Julia said, returning the greeting.

"Hey sis, didn't you say you would give me ¥500 if I could make it to Pewter City?" Diego asked slyly.

"Unfortunately..." Janie answered, she reached into her pocket and gave Diego the money. While they conversed with each other, a Psyduck watched Diego from a corner of the room. It began walking towards him until it was right by his feet. Though nobody seemed to notice the pokemon standing there as it remained nearly silent.

"Hm? Well it looks like you made a friend little bro!" Janie chuckled, everyone looked down and finally noticed the Psyduck looking at Diego.

"I guess I have! Hehe." Diego laughed, he went to go pet the head of the Psyduck before his mom stopped.

"That might not be a good idea sweetie. This Psyduck's head is very sensitive, it might get a bad headache which might create enough psychic energy to blow us back to Pallet Town!" Mrs. Yellow warned.

"Wow, is it really that powerful?" Janie questioned.

"It has a lot of hidden potential, but it needs a trainer to help it control it's abilities and unlock it's hidden potential." Yellow stated. "Why don't you watch over it Diego?"

"Are you sure?" Diego asked.

"Well its a good opportunity for both you and Psyduck to grow and learn from each other." Janie added.

"I say you should take him!" Julia said.

"Hehe, alright then. But it isn't totally my choice." Diego said, he knelt down to fave Psyduck with a Pokeball in his hand. "So what do you say Psyduck? Wanna travel with me?"

Psyduck nodded it's head in agreement, reaching reaching for the Pokeball. As all of this was happening, a lone Snorunt was in the dark corner of the room, it was shivering and looking around the room nervously. An Oddish walked up to the Snorunt with a smile on its face, Snorunt seemed terrified however. It ran out of the Pokemon House frantically, catching the attention of everyone else.

"Oh my! Snorunt must have been startled and ran off!" Yellow said in shock.

"We have to follow it, quickly!" Solomon proclaimed.

Jack and Mr. Fuji arrived at the House of Memories, Mr. Fuji pressed a button on one of the tombstones, revealing a hidden staircase leading to the basement. It didn't take very long for them to find the Shuppet, it was being harassed by a Misdreavus.

"So they must be the reason for this commotion! Jack, I don't like battling battling very much, can you put a stop to this?" Mr. Fuji asked.

"Sure, Ivysaur come lend me a hand here!" Jack said, sending out his Ivysaur. 'The Shuppet looks like it never wanted to cause a problem, I guess I'll just have to battle Misdreavus then.'

Misdreavus' eyes began glowing a dark pink color, waves of energy then came out of it's eyes in the same color.

"Ivysaur, dodge it and use Seed Bomb!" Jack ordered. Ivysaur rolled to its left, avoiding the attack. It then sent out several large seeds at Misdreavus that seemed to be emitting some sort if flame. When the attack landed, the seeds exploded disorientation the Misdreavus and causing considerable damage.

"Now Ivysaur, use Sleep Powder!"

Ivysaur sent out the Sleep Powder, since Misdreavus was still disoriented afternoon the Seed Bomb, it didn't have enough time to react to Sleep Powder.

"Ok, it'll be out for a while, it'd be best to leave the Misdreavus as it is." Jack said, Mr. Fuji smiled at Jack's mercy and pondered something. Shuppet hovered over to Jack, it seemed thankful that Jack saved it. In a swift motion, the Shuppet stole one of Jack's pokeballs and threw it up in the air. It came back down onto Shuppet, capturing it.

"Huh? Why did Shuppet do that?" Jack asked in confusion.

"Perhaps it's Shuppet's way of thanking you, it sees you as a trainer who is both skillful and merciful. I also have a gift for you, it may be useful to you." Mr. Fuji said, giving Jack a turquoise and pink stone. "Now come, we must be heading back to the Pokemon House."

The others had followed the Snorunt into the upper floors Lavender Town Radio Tower. Snorunt ran through one of the halls but stopped when it reached a locked door.

"There it is!" Diego yelled, scaring the Snorunt. Julia noticed the pokemon's fear, she gave the pokemon a sympathetic look.

"Wait!" Julia called out, the others stopped in their tracks.

"What's wrong sis?" Renée asked.

"Don't you see? We're just scaring it more!" Julia proclaimed, she slowly walked over to the Snow Hat pokemon and picked it up. "Hey there little one, there's no need to be scared!"

The Snorunt smiled at Julia, putting an end to the chase. Suddenly, a soft glow began emitting from Renée's pokemon egg.

"I - it's hatching!" Janie called out.

"We have to get to the Pokemon Center, quickly!" Solomon announced, the group raced to the Pokemon Center as quickly as they could, they had been out longer than they expected as it was night by the time they got there.

Nurse Joy had set up a proper space for the egg to hatch. Everyone watched in awe when the egg began hatching in a blazing light that almost looked like a star. The pokemon that hatched from the egg ended up being a Larvesta, though this one looked different from normal ones. Whereas regular Larvesta have blue eyes and red horns, this one had green eyes and golden horns. Renée scanned her newly hatched Larvesta with her pokedex.

'Larvesta; the Torch pokemon: The base of volcanoes is where they make their homes. They spew fire from their five horns to repel attacking enemies.'

"Wow, a Larvesta! Those are supposed to be impossibly rare!" Renée noted.

"It's a shiny pokemon too! You're one lucky girl Renée." Mrs. Yellow praised.

"Congrats sis!" Julia congratulated before realizing something, Snorunt was still with them, it was looking up at Julia and smiling at her while jumping for the pokeballs at her waist. "Hm? Snorunt... do you wanna travel with us?"

Snorunt eagerly nodded in agreement, Julia took one of her pokeballs and captured the Snorunt. Diego watched Renée meet her new pokemon, he couldn't help but think of Jack and what he was doing now...

In the Pokemon House, Mr. Fuji was giving Jack a place to stay for the night, Jack looked a a little bit guilty about keeping his disguise on in front of Mr. Fuji, but he had no choice, he was still on the run.

"Jack, you don't need to keep your disguise on here. Your aura is pure, I know you are innocent."

"W-what?! How did you know?" Jack asked in shock.

"I read people's auras, I read yours and your pokemons' auras and now I know everything that has happened."

From outside the house, the Misdreavus from earlier was intently watching Jack from the shadows...

End of chapter! So what do you think of the group's new pokemon and Janie? Diego's mom is Yellow, but who is his dad? What type of Pokemon does Solomon use? Only time will tell.
