Well, finals for me have now ended, hopefully that means I can get more chapters out. But for now, enjoy!

While the trio was helping to solve the issue in the power plant, Jack had just entered Fuchsia City. There was a girl that looked to be around Jack's age with indigo hair that was done in two pigtails wearing a purple blouse and red skirt by the city gate who was setting up a table. The girl noticed Jack and was happy to greet him.

"Well hello there! Would you like to be the first to support my my bake sale?"

Before Jack could answer, a boy wearing baggy clothes was digging several insect themed pastries from out of some boxes the girl had by the table, he was skinny, right down to the ribs.

"Hey you! Get away from there!" The girl shouted. The boy ran as fast as he could, Jack and the girl quickly gave chase.

Jack finally caught up with the boy just outside of the Safari Zone, the girl was right behind him.

"I got you!" Jack said. They boy faced Jack and pulled out a pokeball, his hand trembling.

"I don't want to battle, I just want to talk." Jack said, sounding calm. The boy didn't respond, he sent out his pokemon, which turned out to be a shiny pink Furret.

"If you just return the pastries we can all just put this behind us." Jack said. The boy and his Furret slowly lowered their guard. "What are your names."

"My name is Danny and this is my best friend and partner, Furret." The boy explained.

"It's nice to meet you, but I wasn't referring to just you." Jack said, he turned to face the tree that the girl was hiding behind. "I still need to know you're name too."

The girl stepped out from the tree and faced the two boys.

"You're pretty sharp! Anyway, my name is Muffet. Now can I have my pastries back please? I worked hard trying to make them, do you know how hard it is to bake pies and cakes that have insect themes to them?"

"B-but... I don't have any money, and I don't have any other way to get food either!" Danny argued.

"Couldn't you have just gotten your parents to buy you something?" Muffet asked. Danny looked away with a pained look on his face, his Furret looked upset as well.

"I'm... an orphan, ok." Danny answered. "I don't have any money or food and the closest thing I have for a home is under the trees."

The two felt sorry for the homeless orphan, Jack suddenly had an idea.

"I'll pay for the food." He said, Danny and his Furret looked up at him, awe in their faces.

"Y-you mean it? You really mean it?!" Danny asked, Jack nodded. Nobody could see his face, but Jack gave Danny a warm smile. Jack went to go pay Muffet but she didn't accept his money.

"I can't." She said with a forgiving smile. "After hearing that I think he can have them."

Danny and Furret now had a wide grin on their faces, thankfully for the generosity of the two. They all sat down and began to have lunch, Jack removed his mask just enough to uncover his mouth, but not enough for the others to see his face. Danny seemed to be chowing down eagerly at his food, leaving Muffet a bit awestruck. Seeing Danny enthusiastically eat reminded him of how Diego ate whenever he was hungry.

After a while Muffet asked Danny a question, breaking the silence that had surrounded them.

"Hey Danny, I know this may be a very... touchy question. But how long have you been on your own like this?"

Jack seemed interested in the question, Danny sighed before giving his answer.

"I've been alone for as long as I can remember. The only thing I can remember about my parents are them inside of a car being driven down a mountain road. We were all heavily dressed because it was really cold, everyone was in a panic about something chasing us. Something hit the side of the car we were in, causing us to fall down the cliff and into a ravine. I blacked out during the crash and I have no idea what happened after that.

When I came to, I was in some sort of port city, I was in a basket, there was a pokeball next to me and I was covered by a blanket. A strange man was hiding me inside of a ship, he hopped off the boat and just left me there, the ship set sail soon afterwards. The waves soothed me into sleep, the only reason I was found was because I began to cry out in hunger, one of the sailors found me. When he picked me up, the pokeball fell out of the basket and Furret came out of it, of course he was still a Sentret at that point." Danny explained, petting his Furret as he continued his story.

"Sentret didn't recognize the man, so he snatched me from him and ran off, carrying me in the basket with his tail. We hid behind one of the buildings in the city we were now in until the coast was clear. We stayed in that city for years, scavenging for food, getting clothes and anything we could to have shelter and warmth. Eventually I found out we were in Vermillion City, I didn't know where I came from, where my parents were or where they might be, all I know is that we had to survive. Whenever Furret and I were caught trying to get food, we would run away to the nearest city and eventually we made our way here. Honestly, you two are the first to show us any kindness." Danny finished explaining.

"Wow... I'm so sorry you've been through all that!" Muffet said, clearly moved by the story. Jack was equally upset by Danny's backstory.

"Yeah, Scarf and I have been through a lot, but honestly I'm just glad I have him." Danny said, continuing to pet his Furret, which was named Scarf.

"So you don't know anything about your parents?" Jack asked.

"Not very much, all I can remember of them was that both of them had the same hair color as me and this note that was in the basket with me." Danny said, handing Jack the note. He and Muffet began to read it.

'To whoever finds this child,

The letter had been left indecipherable due to its age and smearing of the ink.

"Woah." Muffet said, shocked by the note.

"So what do you want to about this? Do you want to try to find the secret of this note? Or do you think forgetting about the note would be better for you?" Jack asked.

"I don't really know." Danny replied, petting his Furret. Muffet checked the time and was surprised at how much time she spent.

"Sorry boys, it looks like I have to go, I need to go back to the bake sale. Why don't you two go in the Safari Zone in the meantime." Muffet said.

"Don't you have to pay to get in?" Danny asked.

"Actually it's been changed to make it free for everyone." Muffet replied.

"Really? Well then I guess we'll check it out." Jack said.

"Well if you do, then have fun!" Muffet said, leaving the boys.

Jack and Danny had entered Safari Zone, which remained largely unchanged for almost thirty years. The only aspects of the Safari Zone that were changed was the species of pokemon that were available in the Safari and the fact that there was no longer a set amount of steps a person could take before they had to leave.

The two boys caught as many pokemon as they could, exploring the areas, and seeing the environments. Eventually Jack thought about telling Danny his secret.

""Hey Danny, I need to tell you something. It's important."

"What is it?"

"Have you watched any news or TV recently?" Jack asked.

"No, I don't own a TV and I don't just watch it from outside somebody's house." Danny answered.

"Ok." Jack replied, slowly removing his mask. Danny just seemed confused.

"I was wondering why you wore that mask, care to tell me why?"

"Listen Danny, I'm currently being hunted by the law for a crime I was framed for. A villainous group called Team Dark Star framed me for something I didn't do. So I need to go out and prove my innocence." Jack explained. Danny seemed to understand.

"You told me to move on with my problems and focus on the future though." Danny questioned.

"Well that was with your situation, but we do have to do the same thing. We both need to change our present in order for us to have a better future... I'm sorry for pouring all of this out to you like this, but I needed to tell someone and I couldn't stay with my friends because I didn't want to risk them getting hurt or getting into trouble with the law." Jack explained, Danny nodded, showing that he understood.

Once the two boys left the Safari Zone, Jack insisted that they head to the PokeMart so both of them could stock up on supplies. Jack even got Danny a new set of clothes and a backpack.

"T-thanks so much for all of this Jack, I don't know what to say." Danny said, he was starting to tear up a bit. Even his Furret was beginning to cry tears of joy.

"Don't mention it, I just hope you find out what you want to do in life. Whether it's finding out about your past or looking to the future, I wish you the best of luck." Jack replied, the two shook hands as Danny set off to the east on his new journey.

"Best of luck to you too, Jack. I hope you clear your name!" Danny said.

Jack went in the opposite direction as Danny, and entered the Fuchsia City Gym...

Some time later, Danny had just entered the City gate where Muffet was already selling her pastries. She noticed Danny and was astonished at his new look.

"Danny! You look so different! It's only been a few hours." She said.

"Hehe, we'll Jack helped me get on my feet and now I'm going to take a journey and find out what I want to do with my life. I have Furret and more pokemon I caught in the Safari Zone so I'll always have friends by my side!" Danny explained.

"And you'll have me supporting you, even if I can't be there with you physically." Muffet replied, giving her new friend an embrace. She packed him a lunch and waved goodbye as Danny went off to start his new life.

A few hours later, Jack exited the Fuchsia Gym with his seventh gym badge. He decided to head to the beach in the south to unwind for a bit and he saw a familiar face. It was a man with tanned skin with several scars and long black hair that was in a ponytail, he wore a tanned shirt and blue jeans.

"Mr. Jetstream? What are you doing here?" Jack asked, removing his mask. He knew Mr. Jetstream was aware of his identity.

"Hm, you're the kid that my associates and I met back at the Rocket Cafe in Saffron. Please, call me Sam." Sam replied, shaking Jack's hand. "As for what I'm doing here, I decided to come back to my hometown for a while. But while I came down here, I found out some information that you might find useful."

"Really? Do tell." Jack said.

"It's about Team Dark Star." Sam said, he could feel Jack become angry at the mention of them. "I heard that their hideout is in Celadon City, the Silph Co. Building that's there is just a cover. Silph hasn't issued the construction of any buildings there." Sam explained. Jack suddenly got up and began heading towards Cycling Road, which leads directly to Celadon.

"Hold on there Jack!" Sam called out, stopping the boy right in his tracks. "You're not strong enough to battle them. Not yet at least. But I am willing to train you. Are you up for it?"

Jack didn't hesitate to agree to the training. Both of them sent out a pokemon, which was coincidentally both Gallade. Sam's Gallade had many more scars than Jack's did however.

"Are you ready Jack?" Sam asked, to which Jack nodded. "Alright then..."

"Let's dance!"

With Jack now having the knowledge of Team Dark Star's main base of operations, will he be able to mount an attack on the base and prove his innocence? And what of the rest of the group, will they catch up with him? You'll have to read on and see...

As for Danny, I want to thank his creator for sending him in, now I don't know if anybody wants his story to be included in this one, or if you want it to be a separate adventure altogether. Either way, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and will stay tuned for the next.
