I think I've hyped up this climax enough, enjoy the battle against Team Dark Star.

The sun shone on Celadon City, the city itself looked and felt as though it were in good spirits. Jack stood in front of a building with the Silph Co. insignia on it. The building itself seemed empty gave off a very mysterious aura.

'Are you ready?' Gallade asked.

'As ready as I'll ever be, we've trained for this. We can't just back out now. I'm tired of having to hide, dragging all of you down with me, being constantly worried about being arrested. The question is though... are you all ready?' Jack replied.

'Jack, we started our journey together, it's not ending anytime soon!' Vensaur replied.

'He's right, we're a team!' Mightyena added. Jack's other pokemon all agreed as well.

'You guys are the best. When we get through this, I'm treating you all to dinner.' Jack said. He and his pokemon entered the TDR base. A man in a Silph Co. uniform stopped Jack.

"Sorry kid, but we're closed." The man said. Jack took off his mask, revealing his face. "You... you're the kid the boss warned us about!"

Jack took out his pokeballs, ready for a battle.

"Argh, the boss figured you'd come, we won't let you blow Team Dark Star's cover!" The TDS grunt said, reaching for his own pokeballs.

Julia, Renée and Diego had already awoken and we're already searching for Jack.

"He's here somewhere, he just has to be!" Diego said.

"He's head to Team Dark Star's base, so we just have to find any buildings that are damaged or sound like there are pokemon battling inside." Renée noted. Just as she said, the windows of the TDS building's first floor shattered.

"Well that's convenient..." Julia said. The three of them rushed into the building, the TDS grunt that was battling Jack had been swiftly defeated and knocked unconscious. The lobby of the building itself was completely wrecked. The desk was broken in half, papers were torn and scattered across the floor and some paintings on the wall were knocked down.

"J-Jack did this?!" Julia said, completely shocked at the state of the room.

"Sam did say he trained Jack, but I didn't expect it to be like this!" Renée replied.

"Well we gotta help him!" Diego said, running into one of the halls.

"Wait! You don't even know where Jack is in this building!" Renée said as she and her sister followed Diego.

Jack was currently heading towards the basement, where the former grunts were being held prisoner.

"Looks like it's almost that time." One of the grunts said, referring to how the ex-grunts were to be executed.

"Seems like it." Another grunt replied. The prisoners were still in their cage, Pandora was still sitting in the corner, Simon and Max were trying to figure out a way out, and Sandra and Ryan were glaring at the guards.

A different grunt came running into the room, he looked panicked.

"The intruder the boss warned us about is here!" He said, he was suddenly knocked away by a Water Gun, courtesy of Jack's Seadra.

"Alright kid, just give up now and we'll go easy on you."

Jack glared at the grunts, battling them and beating them just as easily as he had beaten the others.

"Argh, we better go tell the boss!" One of the grunts said. He and his comrades ran off to the upper floors.

"Hmph, thanks for getting rid of those creeps." Sandra said.

"Jack... I'm sorry." Ryan said. He and Simon couldn't bear to look at their friend. Pandora was shocked to see Jack helping them.

"Do you think you can give us our stuff back?" Sandra asked. "It's on that table behind you."

Jack gave the five of them their things, Sandra took one of her pokeballs and sent out the pokemon that was inside. It was a Houndoom. Sandra suddenly had a look of fury on her face.

"You may want to step aside." She said coldly. Jack knew what was coming and did as she said. "Houndoom, Mega Evolve and use Fire Blast." Sandra pulled out a Key Stone from a necklace she wore and activated it.

Houndoom was enveloped in a purple energy sphere, emerging as a Mega Houndoom, which blew out an intense star shaped flame at the metal bars of the cell, incinerating them completely. The ex-grunts stepped out of the cell, eager to get payback against their former boss. Sandra undid her hair bun, letting her scarlet hair go down to her lower back.

"Two months." Sandra said. "Two long months of working for that maniac, following his orders, not even knowing what he was planning. But now it ends. I'm burning this place down! I swear it!"

She and her Houndoom went to the upper floors alone, leaving the others.

"Should we follow her?" Ryan asked.

"She can handle herself." Max replied.

"Well I still don't think going alone here is a good idea. I'm going after her." Ryan said, going in the same direction as Sandra, Max and Simon followed soon after, leaving Pandora and Jack alone.

"Pandora, I may not know what's going on, but it's dangerous for you to be here alone. Whatever you think is best for you to do right now, just be careful, okay?" Jack said, leaving her alone.

'Gallade, do you think you can keep track of her location? Pandora can sometimes have an anxiety attack when she's put in stressful situations, and something like this could seriously harm her.'

'Of course, I can't imagine what could have happened to have her and the others locked away in there.' Gallade answered.

Diego ended up getting separated from the others and wound up in the TDR labs, there was nobody there as Sirius had all of the scientists evacuated yesterday, though Diego was not aware of this.

However, there was something still inside of the labs, and it had its sights set on Diego.

"Intruder spotted, engaging!"

The RM sprang towards Diego, it's claws bared for attack. Diego managed to jump out of the way, barely avoiding the assault.

"You again! After what happened in the desert, I was hoping you wouldn't come back."

"You were victorious for the sole fact that you had your friends battling with you. I have received some upgrades since our last duel and you have made the mistake of coming to our base of operations. You will fall here."

Diego sent out his Grovyle, the RM got into a battle ready position, revving up the chainsaw on its back.

"Ugh, where did he run off to? This is definitely not the time or place to get lost." Renée said to herself. She was close to the cells where Team Dark Star kept all of their captured pokemon. They all cried out in pain and in sorrow.

"These people are just... unbelievable!" Renée said in horror, setting all of the pokemon free from their cages. The now freed pokemon rushed out of the building by land or by air, some helping immobile pokemon like Magikarp or Metapod. The only pokemon that didn't immediately leave was a golden Riolu, it ran up to Renée and hugged her.

"Aww, you're welcome!" Renée said, returning the hug. 'But what is a Riolu doing here? ... They must have brought it from a foreign region, Riolu aren't typically in Kanto.' She thought to herself.

"Looks like I'm too late..."

Renée turned to see Sirius in the doorway. Upon seeing him, Renée and Riolu readied themselves for battle.

"The boss made us capture all of those pokemon for their DNA or something, I don't know, I'm not one of the scientists. I don't even think they deserve the treatment they got while they were here." Sirius explained.

"Then why catch them in the first place?!" Renée shouted.

"It's the Boss' call kid, not mine. I'm just doing my job. I have my reasons for doing what I do." Sirius answered.

"Well I have my reasons for fighting too!" Renée proclaimed, Riolu stepped up to battle with her.

"I hate to do this to you kid..." Sirius said, sounding more disappointed and regretful rather than angry. He sent out his first pokemon, a Camerupt.

Riolu launched an Aura Sphere, while Camerupt spat out a Flame Burst. The two attacks collided, causing an explosion.

Julia was wandering the halls for any of her companions, having been separated from them ever since Diego ran off in the lobby.

"Sis! ... Diego! ... Jack?!" She called out, being answered with silence each time. There were occasional waves of heat that swept by her, along with the sounds of pokemon battling both above and below her.

"What is going on in this place?!" Julia asked herself out loud. She received an answer from someone behind her, leaving her completely stunned.

"I was expecting an intruder, but I wasn't expecting you of all people."

Julia wanted to turn around and face the person who answered her, but the shock of the sudden answer left her stunned. It didn't matter though, the person who answered walked in front of her, revealing himself to be Typhoon.

Julia readied one of her pokeballs, not backing down from a battle.

"Oh please, you're not strong without your friends backing you up. But I cant have you staying here. This is where you fall." Typhoon said.

Julia sent out her Snorunt while Typhoon sent out an Armaldo.

"You're outmatched, outclassed, and at a type disadvantage. Give up now and maybe I'll let you walk away without serious injuries." Typhoon said calmly.

"Never!" Julia hissed. "Snorunt, use Hidden Power!"

Snoring began to glow with a deep blue energy which it then launched at Arnaldo as an energy sphere. The attack connected perfectly, causing the fossil pokemon to be knocked back and to stagger a bit.

"Alright then, you've made your choice..." Typhoon hissed.

Jack climbed the stairs to the top floor of the building.

'Wait!' Gallade called out, Jack stopped in his tracks.

'What happened?!'

'It's Pandora, she's moved from her location.'

'Where is she now?'

'She's using her pokemon to phase through the building, she's heading straight for us!' Gallade announced.

'What?!'

"Jack." Pandora said, phasing through the stairs and in front of Jack.

"How did you-?"

"I used my Nuzleaf's Umbrage to make my way here. I... I want to help you beat him! I made the mistake of joining Team Dark Star because I thought it would make me stronger, but all its done is make me question if I've been making the right choices constantly. But now I want to do what I know is right! I can take you to the boss' room, he's probably still there." Pandora explained. Jack smiled at her and the two raced to the office.

The two arrived at the office door, surprisingly, it was unlocked. What was more surprising to the two trainers though, was that the room was empty.

"W-what? Where is he?!" Pandora asked. Jack suddenly had an idea.

"Pandora, is there anywhere that the boss could have escaped with anything he was working with? If this is where all of Team Dark Star's research took place then he wouldn't want to leave all of his progress behind."

"There's a hangar that's connected to a runway back on the lower floors, he's most likely going to use it to escape!" Pandora answered.

"Then there's no time to waste!"

The two hurried down to the lower floors, hoping to catch the boss of Team Dark Star.

Diego was still locked in a heated battle against the RM, which matched his had a slight advantage over his Grovyle in terms of both power and speed. However, Diego soon had a hopeful look on his face when his Grovyle began to evolve into Sceptile.

"Oh yeah! Now this'll be a more even fight!" Diego said.

"Interesting, it appears as though your pokemon has evolved in response to your drive to win. However, this is not enough for you to secure a victory against me!" The RM stated, it jumped onto a wall and leaped onto a wall and then at Sceptile.

"Activating Blade Mode!"

Everything seemed to slow down in the view of the RM, even having a bluish-grey color. Without wasting a moment, it reached for its chainsaw and revved it at Sceptile.

Time returned to normal speed, Sceptile was barely able to use its Leaf Blades to parry the chainsaw.

The beast jumped back when it's attack was blocked.

'So this is the upgrade that the scientists were describing.' The RM thought to itself. "The bond between you and your pokemon is great, as it shows with your pokemon's power. You are a powerful trainer, but you have not faced an enemy as powerful as I!"

"Big talk, but when Sceptile was still a Grovyle, we practiced a move to blow the competition away! And now that Grovyle evolved, it just might work! Alright Sceptile, use Riot Javelin!"

Sceptile charged up a green sphere of energy in its hand that resembled an Aura Sphere, though it was smaller and looked like it had a deep green shuriken inside of it. Sceptile threw the Javelin at the RM, but it swiftly dodged the attack.

"I will admit, your attack surprised me, it could have even caused critical damage! But it is too slow to hurt me."

"I wasn't planning on having it hit you!" Diego retorted. The RM was admittedly shocked by this statement, it looked up and saw Sceptile right above it, it's Leaf Blades ready to strike. Sceptile slashed the RM several times with its blades.

"S-stop... battery level... low. Heavy damage sustained..."

Sceptile turned to Diego, as if it was asking if he should put the RM out of its misery. Just as Diego was about to order the attack, the machine spoke again.

"W-wait... do not attack... I have been fitted with a tracker that will send a signal to my associates... they will come and attack if you destroy me... just... leave me..."

Diego left the RM alone and headed back upstairs to find one of his friends.

Renée was still battling Sirius as well, Renée had brought him down to his last pokemon while she still had three pokemon, counting the Riolu she had rescued.

"You're pretty good." Sirius said. Renée was confused at Sirius' casual demeanor.

"You don't seem to be taking this seriously..." Renée said, raising an eyebrow.

"Like I said kid, I'm just doing my job. Heck, I don't even really need to win. My job is to make sure you don't reach the boss. Winning is a plus though, and if you want to win, you have to beat my ace in the hole. Steelix, come out and Mega Evolve!" Sirius said, he sent out his Steelix, Mega evolving it.

'This could be bad...' Renée thought to herself as she looked at the sheer size of Mega Steelix. Nonetheless, she continued the battle.

"Ok Riolu, use Brick Break!" Renée ordered, Riolu leaped up as high as it could, reaching Steelix's abdomen, it delivered a swift chop to the Iron Snake, but the attack did little damage due to the high defense of Steelix.

"Steelix, Iron Tail!" Sirius commanded, Steelix lifted up its massive tail, which was now coated in a shining metal, and slammed it down onto Riolu. The attack left the small pokemon on its last legs.

'What am I going to do?! Larvesta's fire attacks aren't enough to beat this thing by itself, and Ampharos can't even touch it because of Steelix's Ground typing! What would Aunt Cynthia do? ... Wait, that's it!'

"Ok Rioku, use Aura Storm!" Renée ordered. Riolu charged up as much aura as it could and fired it as an intense beam of energy at Steelix.

"Hmph, nice try kid, Steelix use Hyper Beam!"

Steelix breathed an orange beam of energy that clashed with the aura storm. The two pokemon struggled to overpower each other, though Steelix had the clear advantage.

'It's not enough...' Renée thought. 'No! We can still win!'

Riolu seemed to be able to feel Renée's strive to win and connected it's aura with her's, giving it a boost in strength.

"Finish it Riolu! Give it everything you've got!" Renée commanded. Riolu's Aura Storm expanded in size and grew in power, becoming on par with the Hyper Beam. Riolu then began to shift in color, changing from its current gold color, to the natural blue blue of a normal Riolu. However the Aura Storm began to turn gold finally overpowering the Hyper Beam and blowing the Mega Steelix away.

"Hmph, well I gotta admit, you're a tough girl. I'd tell you where your friends are but I don't know. My job here is done, I just hope my boss doesn't kill me for going easy on you." Sirius said, leaving Renée alone.

Renée waited until she was sure he was gone before she left.

Julia seemed to be on par with Typhoon, both of them down to their last pokemon. Julia had her Walrein against Typhoon's Mega Scizor.

"Scizor, use X-Scissor!"

Scizor slashed at Walrein, the attack nearly KO'd the walrus pokemon, strangely though, Julia let the attack connect!

"Hmph, did you give up?" Typhoon asked.

"No! Walrein, use Rest!" Julia ordered, Walrein fell asleep, regaining it's energy in the process.

"You think taking a nap will help you, you're wide open!"

"Again, no! Now Walrein, use Sleep Talk!"

Walrein snore a little bit before it suddenly used Water Pulse while it was still asleep. The attack disoriented and confused Scizor, causing it to hurt itself in confusion.

"Now, use Sleep Talk again!"

Walrein followed through with the attack, this time it used Aurora Beam, the attack was enough to take Scizor down, giving Julia the victory.

"I did it! I won!" Julia cheered.

"You won the battle, it doesn't mean you've won completely. My mission was to catch any intruders, and of I couldn't beat them, I had to stall them. So I'm the one who gets the last laugh. See you soon... kid." Typhoon said, using a smoke ball to escape.

Julia coughed and swatted away the smoke. Once it was clear, she looked around to see if she was alone. She then left to go find the others...

While the others were in their battles, Pandora and Jack used Nuzleaf's Umbrage to descend to the first floor. Before they entered the hangar that the boss was suppose to be in, a light pink aura surrounded Pandora, the aura was visible to Jack who jumped back a bit when he saw it.

Pandora herself then began to look like she was in some sort of trance.

"P-Pandora?! Are you ok, can you hear me?!" Jack called to her.

"You've done well to make it here Jack." Pandora said, her voice seemed to echo with the voice of someone else. This voice seemed familiar to Jack somehow, but he couldn't figure out who it was.

"My bosses and I are waiting for you, just behind that door, if you are willing to challenge us, then come. But be warned, this will be the battle for your life!"

With that statement, the aura surrounding Pandora dispersed and she fell to the floor, unconscious but unharmed. Jack growled in anger, reaching for the doorknob.

'Hold on Jack.' Venusaur said. 'Were with you on this, but we need you to stay calm.'

'He's right Jack, if you're angry, your rage will blind your judgement and cause you to take unnecessary risks.' Gallade added.

"Right." Jack said out loud, he took a deep breath before entering the hangar.

Several grunts were loading up helicopters and the TDS zeppelin with their equipment, though the most noticeable things were the two large crates that were casting large shadows from the light brought in from the open hangar door.

"So you are Jack. You've caused this organization a great deal of trouble." The boss said, Jack was able to get a good look at the man, he was tall, broad, and confident looking though was hard to tell from underneath his mask, he wore a black TDS uniform with several medals and badges typically shown on an army uniform, though he also had a strange golden gauntlet. Jack looked behind him and saw a woman talking to another woman that had her back to Jack.

Jack was snapped back to reality by the boss plucking a hair from his head.

"Pay attention to me, boy! My name is Singularity, the leader of Team Dark Star! I noticed you looking behind me, the woman you see is my wife and second in command of this organization, the Empress of Team Dark Star, Andromeda!" Singularity explained. Andromeda approached her husband...

"Allow me to handle him dear, you go on." She said.

"I see, do not destroy him too badly." Singularity said, snickering as he left onto the runway outside.

"You may have bested Sirius and Typhoon before, but I am leagues above them. However, I know you've only gotten stronger since you battled them, so I will not make the same mistake. I will battle you alongside Team Dark Star's highest ranking admin!" Andromeda proclaimed. "I hear you have met her before.

"Hello Jack, I am shocked at how things have turned out. But now..." The female admin said as she still had her back to Jack. She slowly turned to face him as she finished her statement.

"I must end you."

Jack had a look of pure shock and horror on his face when he saw who the female admin was...
