Aside from my apologies for this chapter being late, I dont habe very much to say. Enjoy!

"This is it! Cinnabar Island!" Spark announced.

The group docked at Cinnabar Island, a large volcano towered over the town. Cinnabar Island had been rebuilt, including the gym, however it ended up closing down after Blaine passed away from natural causes. Spark hopped off of the boat and stretched, taking in the warm air of the island.

"We'll be heading to the lab now. The next boat to Pallet Town should be leaving this evening." Blanche said monotonously.

"Since you're gonna be taking on the Viridian Gym, you might want to do some training in Cinnabar Mansion." Candela suggested.

"Oh yeah! There's a rumor going around that there's a book somewhere in the mansion that has a ton of wicked battle strategies! You might want to try and find it." Spark added.

"Oh honestly Spark that's just a rumor now come on, the Professor is waiting for us." Blanche said, heading towards the laboratory, which stood south of the Mansion.

"We'll be with you in a sec! Hey, if you need to know something, come find us." Spark told the trainers.

"And we'll probably be in Kanto long enough to see the Pokemon League tournament, so you'll probably see us at the Indigo Plateau, see you then." Candela added, she and Spark left to join Blanche.

"Cinnabar Mansion, huh? I thought that place burned down the last time the volcano erupted." Diego asked.

"It did, but they rebuilt it a few years ago, since trainers and wild pokemon were always inside ofnit and all the scientific equipment inside was useless, the people here decided to rebuild it for trainers to build up strength here." Jack explained.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Diego exclaimed as he grabbed the twins by their arms and charged for the mansion.

'Just like old times...' Jack thought to himself as he followed his friends.

The three arrived at the front of the manor and found Celeste, Sinead and Snow exoting the mansion already.

"Hey girls! What are you doing here?" Julia greeted.

"Hey! Long time no see!" Snow greeted, pulling her friend into a friendly hug.

"We were all doing training here for our Viridian Gym battles. Apparently nobody knows what type the gym leader specializes in." Celeste explained.

"Well I've done enough training for now, I think I'm going to head to the beach." Sinead said.

"Count me in! I'll see you all later." Snow added, leaving with Sinead.

"Well I'll be heading towards the labs, I have a fossil that is like to restore into a living pokemon." Celeste stated, leaving the group as well.

"Hmph, you know, its gonna be fun when we're all in the league tournament together." Jack said.

"It would be cool to see how far everyone's gone since we started our journeys." Reneé added.

"Yeah, and I'll be the one who makes the most progress!" Diego said eagerly as the group entered the mansion.

The three researches entered the laboratories, the labs had also burned down in the catastrophe nearly 30 years ago. But with time, it had been rebuilt and has better equipment, the journals that were scattered in the old Pokemon Mansion were salvaged and kept in a library in the labs.

The three approached a man in a white open lab coat, underneath were clothes befitting of a hiker. He appeared to be somewhere in his late 30's or early 40's.

"Prof. Willow, pardon us if we're late." Blanche said in an apologetic tone.

"No meed to apologize Blanche, glad you three could make it here safely. So what happened?" Willow responded.

"There was more than one of the birds there, but some gang calling themselves Team Dark Star came and startled them, causong most of them to scatter except for onw of each legendary bird. We didn't want them flying away and ruining your research, so we had to use the Master Balls." Candela explained.

"I see. Well if its alright, I'd like to see the birds. As for that gang, we should increase security for tje time being, we don't know if they'll be back." Willow explained. The three placed the Master Balls on some sort of machine that projected 3-D models of the birds on a computer screen, the detail was almost lifelike.

"Astounding!" Willow exclaimed.

In another part of the lab, some scientists were scanning siesmic activity within the earth. Another team scanned any activity within the airspace surrounding Cinnabar Island and everything in the SouthWest portion of Kanto. Suddenly one of the scientists spotted something strange within the airspace while another grew horrified at some results he received.

"Hey, there's something coming towards us..." The one moniterong the air said.

"What is it?"

"Judging by the speed, velocity, and movement patterns, it appears to be some sort of aircraft, but that nakes no sense, we don't have any sort of airfield, nor are we expecting anything from airmail."

The scientist by the seismometer stood up and appeared to be hyperventilating.

"Johnson, what is it?!" Another scientist asked. Everyone took a look at the seismometer and began to panic.

Meanwhile, the main group had entered the mansion, several battlegrounds were made so that there was enough space for trainers to battle.

"Ok, so the boat to Pallet Town leaves in... 3 hours, let's meet here before then." Reneé said as everyone split up to begin training.

After looking around for a place to train, Diego came across an assortment of books that seemed to pique his interest, one book specifically; 'The Warrior's Guide to Pokèmon Battles'. Diego immediately opened it up and studies the first topic he saw: Rush Moves.

'Rush moves, eh?' Diego thought to himself. "Rush moves require an intense amount of focus and a strong bond between trainer and pokemon. For a pokemon to execute a Rush move it must have the ability to punch, have a blade-like appendage of some sort, or be able to fire projectiles. The pokemon will use an attack that uses the appendage or projectile and begin to use that move in rapid succession in an extremely high speed. If a Rush move is done successfully then the pokemon will have achieved massive damage against an opponent and have wasted little to no energy." Diego read aloud.

He sent out his Sceptile and showed him the book.

"Sceptile, do you think you can pull this off?" Diego asked. Sceptile nodded, it wasn't sure if it could pull the Rush move off, but it held complete faith in its trainer.

"Ok Sceptile, use that Rush move! Leaf Blade!" He exclaimed. The leaves on Sceptile's arms extended and began glowing bright green. It charged forward a few feet and began slashing wildly at the air at an quicker pace than normal. When Sceptile was finished, he didn't look worn out at all.

"Was that it? I think that was! Sceptile, with these Rush moves, we have to make a ton of new strategies!" Diego announced, sounding excited.

Suddenly, the ground began to violently shake.

"W-what was that?" Diego asked. He then got a message on his PokeNav.

'Get outside quickly! Watch out for any aftershocks! -Jack'

Diego exited the Mansion, his friends were already outside as well.

"What's going on? What happened?" Diego asked them. Julia pointed upwards, towards the volcano.

Black smoke spewed out of the volcano, hot lava occasionally splashed around the base as well.

"I thought the volcano was dormant?!" Diego asked.

"Everyone else thought so too..." Reneé replied.

Suddenly, a voice came down from above.

"Attention people of Cinnabar Island, we know the three trainers with the legendary bird pokemon are down there! Surrender them and we will leave without causing too much damage!"

Everyone looked up to see where the voice came from. The group grimaced when they saw the Team Dark Star zeppelin.

Almost immediately, a large beam of magma shot out of the volcano and barely missed the zeppelin. The magma was followed by a loud, beast-like roar.

"Ok, what was THAT?!" Reneé asked in horror. The top of the volcano exploded in a burst of magma and volcanic rock, something leaped out of the volcano alongside it, landing at the edge of the island.

It was the legendary pokemon of the Johto region; Entei.

"Woah..." Jack said in awe.

"Um, guys!" Julia called out. Magma began to pour out of the volcano from all sides. The girls hurried over to the group, they were just as panicked as everyone else.

"What is going on?!" Sinead panicked.

"They're after the legendary birds."

Everyone turned to see Spark, Candela, and Blanche approaching them.

"But why would they look for them here?" Snow questioned.

"Its a long story, but we have to get everyone off the island!" Spark exclaimed. Everyone's attention shifted to Entei, who let out a blast of an intense white flame from out of its mouth to attack the zeppelin.

"I guess Entei has them covered." Candela said, commenting at how Entei kept the attackers with ease. "But we have to hurry, the lava will wash over this town and destroy it, like all those years ago."

"Is it possible to use a strong water type attack to cool down the lava and solidify it before it reaches us?" Reneé asked.

"It's risky, but it just might work." Blanche replied.

"Alright then, we'll have to use our strongest Water-type attacks. Seadra, this is a job for you!" Jack announced, sending out his Seadra. "Hydro Pump!" He commanded.

"Walrein, you and Froslass can help, too! Use Water Pulse!"

"Golduck, give us a hand!"

Julia and Diego sent out their Water pokemon but Julia then noticed something.

"Wait! I forgot you don't have any Water pokemon, Sis!" She announced, but her Renee simply smirked.

"Don't worry, I've got it covered!" She replied. "I checked Larvesta's moves and it turns out that it can help! Larvesta, come out and use Hidden Power!"

Reneé sent out her Larvesta, which joined the water pokemon in attacking the lava, sending our blue waves of energy instead of water. Interestingly though, she also sent out her Riolu.

"Is Riolu's Hidden Power a Water attack?" Diego asked.

"Nope, it doesn't know Hidden Power, but here's my idea, ill go to the other end of the island and blast the volcano from the other side. There's no buildings on that side, so the lava should go into the ocean." Reneé explained.

"That's brilliant!" Blanche praised, giving Reneé a smile, something Blanche doesn't do very often. "Candela, Spark, and I will help get everyone to safety."

"Right!" Everyone agreed, Sinead and Celeste went with Reneé while Snow helped the others. The three researchers sent out the legendary birds, several people slombed on the backs of the birds until it couldn't carry any more, the birds then flew off towards the mainland.

"Spark!" Candela and Blanche called out simultaneously as they flew.

"Yeah?" Spark replied.

"Try not to screw up again, this is a serious situation." Blanche said sternly, Candela nodded in agreement, looking just as serious. Spark looked at the two, clearly upset at their words, but he didn't respond.

Entei continued to fend off Team Dark Star, though they seemed to be at a stalemate since Entei could not walk on water like its fellow beast, Suicune.

"Fire the missiles!" One of the grunts said.

"Right!" Another replied, pressing a button on the controls which caused a barrage of missiles to be fored at the beast of fire.

Entei did not flinch though, and simply used ExtremeSpeed to avoid the assault, riding on a few of the missiles to counterattack the zeppelin.

After causing a bit of damage, its body began to glow a bright crimson and white, it opened its mouth and unleashed an intense beam of fire at the zeppelin, completely obliterating a good portion of it. However the zeppelin was still able to fly. The battle was not over yet.

Back on the island, the trainers were still trying to control the eruption, however the lava would not cool down and the pokemon were beginning to grow tired.

"Come on Seadra, you can do it, I know you can! Please give it everything you've got! Hydro Pump!" Jack pleaded.

"Walrein, Frosslass, you can't give up yet!" Julia begged, the two pokemon tried using Water Pulse again, but the increasing heat was behinning to weaken them, and the fact that they were already tired made things worse.

"Golduck, are you ok?!" Diego asked in a panic.

'This lava... Entei must jave been resting in it... That must be why it's so difficult to cool down. The power of Entei has caused its temperature to skyrocket. I fear... We may not be able to succeed...' Golduck said telepathically before falling from dehydration. The other water pokemon soon collapsed as well.

The trainers recalled their pokemon. Other trainers who tried to help soon had to recall their pokemon as well.

On the other end of the island; Reneé, Celeste, Sinead, and other trainers struggled to destroy the wall of the volcano. Like the others, their pokemon were growing tired as well.

"I think we can only launch one more attack..." Sinead said.

"Then we have to put everything we have into this last attack..." Celeste responded. "Alakazam, use Psychic!"

"Riolu, Aura Storm!"

"Roserade, use Energy Ball!"

The attacks combined themselves together, mixing with the attacks of some other trainers as well. This super attack collided with the volcano, cracking it. This crack grew larger until it popped and lava began seeping through it.

Some of the trainers began to cheer, though this cheering soon stopped when everyone realized their problems weren't over yet...

Entei was beginning to grow tired after its battle, causing severe damage to the zeppelin, which tried to shoot Entei down. Entei couldn't ride anything to attack the zeppelin again, instead it had to avoid the bullets until the zeppelin's guns began to overheat.

Once it had an opportunity, Entei aimed for the now open portion of the zeppelin and fired one last Sacred Fire attack at the zeppelin, causing its engines to die. The TDS grunts hopped out of the zeppelin and escaped with either escape pods or hovering platforms.

Once the zeppelin crashed into the ocean Entei let out a roar of pride. It then turned toward the volcano amd roared again. The lava suddenly stopped right in its tracks just moments before it would have reached any buildings.

"Huh? W-what just happened?" Julia asked in confusion.

Entei charged towards the volcano, the lava rushed back up the volcano when Entei ran past it. Once Entei reached the peak of the volcano, the lava rushed down into the crater. Entei roared again, the red glow of the lava faded away, and the black smoke cleared away, revealing a beautiful orange sky.

The people of Cinnabar and all the trainers who did everything they could to prevent the same tragedy that happened decades ago rejoiced and thanked Entei for saving them and the island.

Some scientists took out mini seismometer and breathed a sigh of relief when they found that the volcano was now made dormant by Entei.

A few hours passed, the people who lived on Cinnabar Island were asked to stay away for a while longer just for safety precautions. The main group boarded a boat heading towards Pallet Town.

"Well today was certainly an experience." Jack said.

"You said it!" Diego replied. The group remained quiet for a few moments before Diego spoke again. "Kind of hard to believe we only need one more badge before we can enter the League Tournament."

"I know what you mean, and we're even going back to where our journey began." Julia added.

The legendary birds flew alongside the boat, the research trio were flying on them.

"Hey, thanks for all your help you guys!" Spark praised.

"We'll still be in Kanto to see you in the Tournament. Give us a good show, would ya'?" Candela said with a smirk.

"We'll give you a show that'll knock your socks off!" Diego assured.

"Good to hear!" Candela responded as the trio flew off.

"You know, even though we just met those three, I think they're cool!" Julia admitted.

"I guess they kind of are." Reneé agreed. Jack approached Diego and places a hand on his shoulder.

"How does it feel for you to finally come home?" Jack asked.

"What do you mean? Both of us are going home, you're practically family, remember?" Diego responded, the two shared a fist bump as they looked onto the horizon, Pallet Town becoming more visible in the distance.

The 8th and final gym battle of Kanto is fast approaching! But our heroes will return to where their journey officially began!
