Sorry for the delays, finals are almost over so future chapters should be more frequent. Also if you sent in a character at the beginning of the story, keep an eye out for something at the end of this chapter.

"Home."

The group were just arriving at the harbor of Pallet Town. Diego looked at his hometown with a sense of nostalgia filling him.

"I can't believe its nearly been a month since we first left to start our journey." Julia noted.

"Time really does fly." Reneé added.

The boat landed perfectly at the harbor, the four trainers headed over to Diego's house, while simultaneously taking in the charm of the small town. They didn't get the chance to do this the first time they were there as the first time they went there was to get their starter pokemon.

Diego knocked on the door, it took a moment but the door opened, Diego's sister was the one who answered it.

"Well look who it is, didn't think id be seeing you here. I figured you'd head straight for the Viridian Gym." She said smugly.

"Oh come on, I may be a bit reckless but I know better than that!" Diego responded with a chuckle.

"Really though, I'm glad to see you're all safe. Mom got worried when she saw what was happening on Cinnabar, we could see the smoke from here." Janie added, her voice becoming kore worried when she mentioned what happened yesterday.

"Heh, its gonna take a lot more than some volcano to take us down!" Diego floated. He was immediately embraced by his mother who stepped outside.

"Oh my baby! I'm so glad you're safe!" She said as though she was nearly on the verge of tears.

"Mom its ok, we're all safe!" Diego assured.

"Well... Its just that I get worried about you. All parents feel this way when they're separated from their children."

Diego returned the hug his mother gave him, a big smile on his face.

"So what brings you back here?" Yellow asked.

"We've gotten seven badges, now all we need is the last one from the Viridian Gym!" Jack answered.

"Is that true? You've all come so far since I last saw you all in Lavender Town! And to think that was only about two weeks ago, you all seem so different since then." Yellow stated with prude for her son and his friends.

"Heh, here's face I didn't think I was going to see this early."

Everyone turned to see Blue, the current champion of Kanto, flying in on a Pidgeot.

"I figured I'd see you again at the Indigo Plateau, Jack." Blue said.

"Woah, Jack you met the champion?!" Reneé asled in shock.

"Hehe, yeah we met in Rock Tunnel. I tried battling him but I was way out of his league. So what made you come back to Pallet Town?"

"Well I had to go to Cinnabar Island first to check on it after the volcano erupted. I can't believe I've seen that thing erupt twice now. Anyway, after that I'd visit my Gramps here once I finished there, I heard his cousin is even visiting from the Alola region, now that I think about it my wife should be coming back from her vacation from there too." Blue explained.

"I heard that Mega Evolution is really rare in the Alola region is that true?" Julia asked.

"That's right, let me show you!" Yellow answered, she whistled at her home, which prompted Chuchu to come running outside, she was wearing a little necklace with a small crystal on it.

"This is a Z-Crystal, these are more common in the Alola region, but recently Alola has been importing Mega Stones and exporting Z-Crystals of different types around the world. There's one of these for every type, but there are also ones that are specific to a certain pokemon. This one is called Pikachunium-Z. Using a Z-Crystal makes your pokemon use an extremely powerful attack!" Yellow explained.

"Do you have any more of them?" Jack asked in curiousity and wonder.

"I'm afraid not, Z-Crystals are still rather difficult to come by and they are rather expensive otherwise."

"Hello over there!" A voice called out from the sea. It was a small ferry that has two people on it besides some sailors. The first was a man who looked nearly identical to Professor Oak, though he was much more tan and had longer grayish-blonde hair, he wore a floral patterned shirt and cargo shorts with sandals. The second was a rather curvaceous woman with long brown hair, she had a sun hat on along with a short sleeved light green t-shirt and a white sun dress with light green stripes, she was also wearing sandals.

The woman quickly got off the ferry when it docked and ran up and gave Blue a big hug and a kiss.

"Nice to see you too!" Blue said with a hint of a laugh as he returned the hug. "Everyone, this is my wife, Green."

While everyone greeted Green, Julia whispered to Janie.

"Why are these two and your mom named after colors?" She asked.

"Its kimd of a thing they did around here years ago, my dad has a name just like theirs, take a wild guess what color that is. It even got to the point where I waa going to be named Purple!" Janie answered.

"Oh! Is that a Z-Crystal?" Green asked.

"Why, yes it is! I was just telling these trainers about Z-Crystals." Yellow answered.

Green began to have a confident and excited look on her face.

"We just have to battle! I haven't had a real challenge in Alola." Green whined.

"Why not battle the champion of Alola?" Her husband joked.

"Because the champion was too busy at work with the Aether Foundation..."

"Aether Foundation?" Diego asked.

"You remember, the people who showed up at school that one day to tell us about pokemon conservation and population." Jack replied.

"Oh gosh I remember now, I couldn't sleep for a week when they told me about how Mareanie and Toxapex eat Corsola!" Julia chimed, hiding her eyes like a child trying to hide under the bed.

"Oh yeah, those guys. To be honest I didn't really care too much about them. But you said you wanted to battle, right Mrs. G? Well how about you and me?" Diego asserted.

"Sorry sweetie, but I'm almost as strong as your dad and my husband, the Champion. So I don't think a battle with you is what I'm looking for." Green replied.

"Then how about a battle against the two of us?" Yellow asked. "And one of Diego's friends can battle alongside you to make it fair!"

"Hmm... Sounds good! How about... You!" Green said, picking Reneé.

"Well... Sure but this seems a bit sudden." Reneé responded with uncertainty.

"Don't worry, it'll be fun!"

"Yeah, we get to see Z-Moves up close!" Diego added.

The four who would be battling took their positions. Blue brought Prof. Oak's cousin over to the lab, while they said that would love to watch the battle, they had business to attend to which involved tje Pokemon League Tournament.

"You ready mom?" Diego asked.

"Of course!" Yellow replied. Diego sent out his Charizard while Yellow was using Chuchu.

"Be ready because I don't intend on going easy!" Green said as she sent out a Granbull with a pink Z-Crystal.

"I haven't really used this little one in too many battles yet, but it put up a fight when I was tryinf to catch it, so lets see what you can do, Larvitar!" Reneé proclaimed as she sent out the small pokemon. Despite the massive soze dofference between Larvitar and the other pokemon battling, it didn't seem worried at all. It actually seemed rather eager to battle!

"Why don't we let one of the kids make the first move?" Yellow asked.

"That's fine!" Green replied.

"Alright then, Larvitar, use Paleo Breath!" Reneé ordered. Larvitar took a deep breath and blew out a stream of sand and rocks at both Charizard and Chuchu, doing moderate damage to Charizard but Chuchu acted as though it was more of a minor inconvenience rather than a serious attack.

"I-its like it doesn't even feel it!" Julia said in shock.

"Well Chuchu has been with Mom since she was just a little girl, they're way tougher than they look." Janie explained.

"I guess we really aren't gonna hold anything back then!" Diego announced. "In that case... Charizard: Mega Evolve!" Diego activated his Mega Ring, causing the Charizardite Y to glow and envelop Charizard in a purple cocoon. Charizard emerged soon afterwards with a surge of heat created by its new Drought ability.

"Now hit that Granbull with a Solar Beam!"

Charizard exhumed an incredible beam of bright light from its mouth at Granbull. The Dog-like pokemon allowed the beam to get close before it easily rolled out of the way.

"Woah, that's fast!" Jack called out.

"Now Granbull, use Play Rough on that Pikachu!" Green commanded.

Granbull charged at Chuchu at an astounding speed, crashing into Chuchu and attacking it mercilessly in a cloud of smoke.

"Perfect." Yellow said with a smirk. "Now Chichi, use Nuzzle!"

While Granbull was attacking Chuchu, the little mouse grabbed Granbull and rubbed its checks against its head, paralysing Granbull.

"Larvitar, use Crunch on Pikachu!" Reneé ordered.

"Dragon Pulse!" Diego announced. Larvitar tried attacking Pikachu but was blasted back by a blue and red beam of energy, courtesy of Charizard.

"Not bad, this is actually a ton of fun. But let me show you what I learned in Alola!" Green proclaimed. She activated her own Mega Ring, but then she made several physical movements culminating into a pose that seemed somewhat reminiscient of a sort of pixie. Granbull then began to glow in an intense aura.

"Now let's see how you handle the Fairy-type Z-move: Twinkle Tackle!" Green proclaimed.

"That sounds terribly cheesy..." Diego commented. Though he quickly changed his mind he noticed that Chuchu couldn't move. Granbull's body began to turn completely pink as it crashed into Chuchu several times before it gave the Mouse pokemon one last powerful punch that launched Chuchu high up into the air.

"I got you Chuchu!" Yellow said, catching the Pikachu before she hit the ground. "Well you used your Z-move, let's show you ours. Yellow activated her own Z-Ring, putting her arms into a pose that was reminiscient of a lightning bolt. Chuchu jumped up and gave Yellow a high five with her tail, next, she grabbed her Pikachu and tossed her into the air, surprising the young trainers.

"Did she just..." Julia said.

"Mom, what?!" Diego added.

"Don't worry, just watch. This is Pikachu's Z-Power; Catastropika!" Yellow answered. Chuchu then charged up electricity while in the air before it spun forward, making it look like an electrically charged cannonball. Chuchu them sped downwards toward Granbull and exploded into it in a burst of light.

'This is my chance!' Diego thought to himself. "Charizard end this with Solar Beam!"

While everyone was blinded by the flash of electricity, Charizard let out another blast at Larvitar, who couldn't avoid it.

After the light faded away, Charizard was revealed to be the only pokemon still standing as Pikachu's Z-Move knocked it out as well.

"Hmph, I just get back from vacation and I immediately lose." Green pouted. "But hey, it was fun. Now if you need me, I'll be unpacking."

"Wait!" Julia called out. "You had a Z-Crystal for Fairy pokemon. Do you have any other Z-Crystals?"

"I have a few." Green replied. "But the Prof. is holding on to them. He's studying where they came from and their effects on pokemon. But its best if you leave him and his cousin to do their work."

"Oh, ok, I just wanted to see more of them, they seem awesome!" Julia said in awe. Reneé stomach suddenly began grumbling.

"Oops, hehe, I guess its time for dinner." She chuckled.

"Why don't you come inside, it's always nice to have guests over for dinner." Yellow said with a smile.

"It's been a while since Diego and I habe had your cooking Mrs. Yellow." Jack noted.

"Heck yeah! Mom's home cooked dinner!" Diego cheered.

Later that evening, the group was arriving at Viridian City while the sun was just beginning to set.

"One more badge." Diego said confidently.

"It seems like just yesterday we were just getting ready to head to Pewter City to get our first gym badge." Julia noted.

"And now we're here to get our last one." Reneé added.

The four of them headed into town, tomorrow would bring one of their toughest challenges yet!

I hope you all emjoyed the chapter, the League Tournament is coming up very soon. Also I hope I portrayed Z-Moves well enough, if not, tell me what I could do better.

As for everyone who sent in a character at the beginning of the story, since the League and Grand Festival are both coming up, I wanted to know what your pokemon teams are going to be. You're allowed to have one Mega Evolution as well as a shiny pokemon of your choosing. It doesn't need to be a competitive set and if you sent in a trainer to be a coordinator (or Ranger) your pokemon doesn't have to have moves that are specific for battles. If there is no answer or you don't really care what pokemon your character uses, I'll have to make one for that character.

New moves:

Paleo Breath

Rock type

50 power

90 accuracy

The user breaths an ancient breath on the for, may raise special attack.
