Happy New Year, readers! Hope you enjoy the chapter!

Celeste entered Cerulean Cave, it was damp in the cave but it was well lit thanks to the glowing blue crystals all around the cave. The second she stepped foot into the cave she could feel an extreme power emanating from the back of the cave.

"So you say an extremely powerful pokemon is in this cave?" Celeste said aloud.

'Yes. This cave has supposedly been the home of the legendary pokemon Meet So for almost thirty years.' A voice replied.

"If you say so Alakazam, but if it is here then do you think you and the rest of our team can beat it?"

'Well you did capture an Umbreon so you do hold a type advantage against Meet so, however despite this Mewtwo is capable of learning moves such as Aura Sphere.' Alakazam reploed telepathically. 'However this is all assuming we can reach Mewtwo, the pokemon in this cave are more powerful than those in Victory Road.'

Celeste's journey through Cerulean Cave proved to be excruciating, she struggled slightly against some of the Gym Leaders of Kanto and in Victory Road but Cerulean Cave proved to be another level of pain.

Pokemon like Wobbuffet, Machamp, Crobat, Magnezone, Gengar and others lived in the cave. Celeste and her team rested for a bit, the part of the cave she was in had a large crater in it allowing outside light to seep in. The sun was high up into the sky amd a gentle breeze blew into the cave.

"So how do you suppose that happened?" Celeste asked, referring to the gaping hole.

'I believe that was a result of the battle Mewtwo had with the legendary trainer, Red, nearly thirty years ago. Wait! I sense something powerful approaching!' Alakazam replied.

The space in front of Celeste began to distort and warp. Mewtwo suddenly appeared in front of the girl...

'Why have you come here?' Mewtwo asked.

"I came to battle you, Mewtwo. You're one of the most powerful pokemon known to humans, if I can beat you then I know I can win at the Pokemon League Tournament." Celeste explained.

'So you wish to battle... I should want you though I shall not hold back.'

Celeste sent out Alakazam, the pokemon she picked in the beginning of her journey.

"Shadow Ball!" Celeste ordered. Alakazam held out its hands in front itself and formed a black, pulsing sphere of energy. Alakazam launched the orb at Mewtwo, but the Genetic pokemon simply held out its arm and stopped the attack. The cave suddenly turned completely grey, rainbow colored stones formed of psychic energy formed out of this air around Alakazam for a moment before they suddenly bombarded the Psi pokemon in an explosion.

When the smoke cleared, Alakazam had been knocked out. Celeste was shocked, her strongest pokemon went down so quickly and easily, she wanted to see if the legends of Mewtwo's strength were true before she would Mega Evolve her Alakazam but she wasted her chance. She then sent out her Umbreon, the pokemon she planned to use.

'A Dark type pokemon. I see you have knowledge of one of my weaknesses. However that type is one I can easily counter.' Mewtwo boasted.

"Umbreon, use Foul Play!" Celeste commanded. Umbreon's body began to glow purple as it charged at Mewtwo, but the legendary pokemon used Aura Sphere to take down the Dark type as easily as it took down Alakazam.

No matter what she did she couldn't even harm Mewtwo. For her, defeating the pokemon would be impossible.

She recalled her Umbreon, not knowing what would happen next. Mewtwo also dropped its combative stance.

'You cannot defeat me.' Mewtwo said, closing its eyes and sitting down. 'However do not let this upset you. This does not mean you are a weak trainer, I was created to be the most powerful pokemon in existence in a laboratory that performed horrific experiments on me. I destroyed the laboratory and escaped here where I avoided humanity. There were two trainers that came to challenge and capture me. One from Pallet Town, the former Champion of the Kanto region was able to best me in a battle. He showed me that there will always be someone stronger than you. He battled with love for his pokemon, showing me that not all humans are evil. Two years after Red and I battled, another trainer came to me. This one came from New Bark Town in the Johto region. He helped me understand that there are humans that not only show love for their pokemon, but for all pokemon.'

Mewtwo opened its eyes again, lokking right at Celeste.

'Those two trainers went on to become some of the most powerful trainers on this planet. But you... Where will you go?'

Mewteo's eyes began to glow blue. A blue mist formed around it's head.

'You are destined to become much more powerful than both trainers I had spoken of before. But you are not alone. Those who began their journey alongside you will reach the same level of power to stop an evil that threatens the multiverse.' Mewtwo explained.

"The multiverse?" Celeste asked.

'Yes. However much time will pass before you reach this power. Before then you will meet a strong Psychic type pokemon that is destined to grant you its power and battle alongside you. Most worrying however is that very soon, you and many trainers will battle against foes that are much more powerful than any villainous group that has terrorized the world. A group that will cause an event that will cause greater panic than the takeover of Team Plasma. You must grow stronger in order to prevent disaster.'

"What?! Is something going to happen at the League Tournament and this pokemon you mentioned... Is it you?" Celeste asked.

'I cannot answer that. It may jeopardize our future...' Mewtwo replied. 'All you can do for the moment is grow as strong as you can so that when this threat comes you and those who fight alongside you will be ready. I can teleport you back to the Indigo Plateau, which can provide you with the training you need at the moment and when the time comes, travel to the region that lies to the far South East of Johto. You will understand there.'

"I see, but what will you do when this threat comes?"

'I and many other legendary pokemon will do what we can to fight back. When the day comes I shall see you again.' Mewtwo said, Celeste's body began to glow white. Mewtwo was preparing to teleport her away.

"I guess I'll see you then." Celeste said as she vanished, leaving Mewtwo alone.

'Hmph, that girl will not truly know how dangerous her journey and those of her friends will become but they will see very soon.' Mewtwo said to himself. He looked upwards into the sky, sensing the power in the stars above. 'She will meet that Pokemon and alongside her companions, gain the power that surpasses even Mega Evolution and become equal to that of The One in his weakened form.'

Celeste was teleported back to the room she was given for the League Tournament, safe and sound.

"Alakazam, what do you think about what Mewtwo said?"Celeste asked.

'I... am not entirely sure. Mewtwo's Future Sight ability is far more powerful than mine. If there truly is going to be an enemy that threatens this Tournament and potentially the multiverse itself, then we will habe to be ready and train as much as we possible can.' Alakazam responded.

"Right. Let's go train, we can't waste a second!"

With those words, Celeste ran out of her room and towards the Training Center, eager to grow stronger and combat the oncoming threat.

"Mr. President, we're quickly approaching the Vermillion City Harbor!"

A white and gold colored boat spwd through the ocean water and towards Vermillion City. Everybody on the ship's deck wore white uniforms except for one man who looked to he in his early 20's. He wore a white buttoned down whirt under a black unzipped jacket, black jeans and black/red sneakers. He had blond hair that was cut short except for one long bang that covered his right eye.

"Good, we'll be heading towards Cinnabar Island first. We were asked to aid in reconstruction though my mother and sister need to look for that scientist at Cerulean Cape." The man replied

"Of course sir!"

"How many years has it been since we've last been here, brother?"

The young man turned and saw a woman that looked similar to him, though she was younger. She was thin and wore a white dress with pink sneakers. Her hair was the same blond color as the man's, though her hair was much longer and in a ponytail. The two both has emerald green eyes.

"About nine years I think. Ever since Sol became the first Champion of Alola."

"I thought he would be upset when you came back from your training here and beat him but that big smile on his face proved me wrong." The woman chuckled, though her face became a bit more serious. "Mother was showing signs of recovery ever since what happened with Nihilego but... I don't think I've ever seen her in like that."

The man struggled to think of something to say until he looked ahead.

"We're close to Vermillion City, you and a few of the Employees know where to go, right?" The man said.

"Of course and we should be with you after we meet with Mr. Bill." The woman replied.
