It was morning inside the Park residence, Caleb Park woke up slowly and gently as he stared at the ceiling. He smiled and then turned to face his sleeping wife, Willow Park. Whom was five months pregnant with their first child. The Black Guard recently had something he rarely had, a good dream. Usually, he'd always end up waking up screaming in terror as he once again saw his deceased uncle.
He got out of bed and stretched his arms in the air and stroked his wife's head, causing her to move a bit. "Good morning, Captain." He whispered to not awaken her.
He later walked into the kitchen to make him and his wife some breakfast. Due to him having that amazing dream, he decided to make some delicious griffin eggs and dragon strips, their favourite breakfast.
He pulled out a frying pan and grabbed two griffin eggs he cracked against the pan and started frying them. He then gently placed the strips of dragon bacon in the pan to make sure they didn't end up colliding with the eggs.
Back in the bedroom, the sleeping Willow sniffed the air, causing her to wake up at the smell of frying eggs and sizzling meat. She carefully climbed out of bed and made an exhale to control her hormones. She smiled as she rubbed her bump she couldn't wait to meet in approximately four months time.
"Hey kiddo, I think daddy's cooking." Willow said to her future child.
She walked into the kitchen where she noticed Caleb frying their breakfast while doing a bit of a dance and singing a song. "Now I find myself, in the wild unknown with the frogs and toads and I'm far from home. Something, something, trauma. Something, something, something gems."
"Our favourite?" Willow's interjection made Caleb flinch so bad that he almost dropped his spatula but he pulled himself together.
He turned to smile at his wife. "Yeah. I had a great dream last night."
"What was the dream about?" Willow asked.
"I'll tell ya when I get breakfast ready." Caleb replied. "Do you want tea?"
"Yeah." Willow replied. "I'd love some."
Caleb served himself and his wife some tea and then finished cooking their breakfast and served it on a plate. He placed his wife's plate in front of her and placed his in front of him.
The two began to feast on their breakfast which Willow found amazing as she was surprised at how much of a great cook her husband was. "Oh Caleb, these taste delicious."
Caleb blew a raspberry. "Come on. I just followed the recipe."
"Come on, you're an amazing cook." Willow argued.
"Thanks." Caleb said. "You're not a bad cook yourself."
"Don't tell me you're saying that as my husband." Willow said.
"I'm not." Caleb assured her.
"So, what was that dream you had?"
Caleb's face and ears all turned red with embarrassment. "It's embarrassing."
"Aww, come on." Willow encouraged. "It can't be that embarrassing."
"Well, it might make me sound like Luz." Caleb said. "But, here it goes. Okay, the dream started off with us Punta Cana…"
"Our favourite at the Dominican Republic?" Willow asked.
"The very one." Caleb replied. "Okay, we were just relaxing together with a glass of that red cocktail you like and then something jumped on me."
"What was it?" Willow asked.
"I think you meant who." Caleb replied. "It turned out to be our child." Willow smiled at how sweet the dream was starting off. "It was a girl. We named her Kaitlyn. She looked a lot like you, yet she had my hair and my nose. Heck, she even had little glasses." Caleb chuckled with Willow doing the same. "She jumped on me, wanting to go into the sea with her. And we did. You just sat and watched and even took a few pictures with your scroll."
"Did anything else happen in your dream?" Willow asked, tears already forming.
"Nothing much." Caleb replied. "Me and Kaitlyn just continued playing in the sea. Splashing about, collecting seashells and being curious about the strange Earth creatures from the sea. It was somewhat simple yet beautiful. It was probably the best dream I've ever had."
Willow wiped away the tears that were forming as she felt a lot emotions. She felt happy that her husband had a good dream, yet there was something emotional about him dreaming about their child.
Caleb got out of the chair and walked to his wife and kissed her on the head and pressed his hand on her bump. "I can't wait to meet them. Though I doubt we could call them Kaitlyn."
Willow smiled. "Actually, I got the results on what the gender is."
"Huh?"
Willow smiled. "And, I think Kaitlyn would be an amazing name for our daughter."
Caleb gasped with surprise. "You're serious?"
Willow nodded her head. "I wanted to surprise you at the right moment, but I think now is an amazing time."
Caleb smiled. "That is amazing news." The former Golden Guard kissed his wife on the head. Then, she and him kissed each other on the lips with Caleb holding on to his wife's bump, anticipating the day he'd finally get to meet his daughter.
