Caleb was nervous right now. He was here in the Demon Realm about to meet his girlfriend's dads. He was dressed in a nice formal suit and had his hair smooth. His girlfriend had his arm hooked to him in order to try and help him remain calm.

"Hey Caleb, are you nervous?" Willow asked.

"Of course I am!" Caleb replied. "It's your parents I'm about to meet soon. I'm scared they won't like me."

"Hey, don't be afraid." Willow said. "It's not like they're Odalia."

"Okay, that gives me some relief." Caleb said. "Least they won't kill me."

"Yeaaaaah, but Papa did almost choke Boscha with an abomination." Willow said.

"Okay, now I'm worried." Caleb admitted.

"Don't worry, Papa is the least strict." Willow assured him. "Dad on the other hand might need some convincing. We're here."

They approached the Park residence which was a nice house yet Caleb felt a tad nervous. To some people this was just a regular house, Caleb felt afraid since this was the house of the people Caleb needed the approval of. His girlfriend's dads.

"Be a bit brave. Okay?" Willow said gently.

"I'll try." Caleb said.

"Thanks a bunch Cala Lily." Willow kissed him on the cheek, causing him to blush.

Willow knocked on the door and her Papa, Gilbert opened up. "Willow!" He hugged his daughter and kissed her forehead. "Great that you're here."

"So am I, Papa."

Gilbert then noted Willow's boyfriend. "And this must be your little boyfriend, Hunter."

"It's Caleb." Caleb said. "I wish to be known as Caleb from now on."

"Oooh, my mistake." Gilbert said. "Please, come in."

Gilbert lead Caleb and Willow into the house and motioned them to sit down on the couch. He sat in front of the couple and gave Caleb a gentle smile to try and ease him in and make him comfortable.

"Willow speaks highly of you." Gilbert said.

"Oh really?" Caleb asked. "Anything good?"

"Oh, trust me, a lot of good things." Gilbert replied.

"I forgot to say sir…" Caleb then stood up and bowed. "…I am honoured to meet you." Willow blushed at Caleb's display while Gilbert was surprised by this display but thought it was adorable.

"Oh Caleb, you don't need to bow to anyone." Gilbert said. "Let alone me."

"I don't?" Gilbert nodded his head, causing Caleb to groan before sitting back on the couch with embarrassment. "I'm sorry!"

"It's okay. It's okay." Gilbert assured him. "I was nervous about meeting my husband's parents as well."

"Speaking of, where is Dad?" Willow asked.

"Oh Dad's just out for some food." Gilbert replied. "He'll be back."

"When?"

Then, the door burst open and a man with a great big beard and huge muscular limbs burst through the door with a huge hunk of meat over his shoulder.

The mere sight of him made Gilbert blush while Caleb stared at him in fear. This appeared to be the kind of guy who'd seem hard to impress.

"Hey dear." Harvey greeted his husband. "I got dinner."

Gilbert stood up and approached his husband. "Hey honey. Willow's back and she's brought him."

Caleb stood in front of Harvey, sweat producing from his face as he stared at the man in fear. "Good evening Mr Park. I-I-I'm…."

"I know who you are." Harvey responded. "I've seen pictures of you. You're a lot scrawnier in person and I thought your hair would be a lot messier."

Caleb didn't know if this was a negative compliment or just a very judgemental observation so he had to say something. "Uh….Thanks."

"Um…Dear, why don't you go and have a shower." Gilbert suggested. "You must be exhausted. I'll make some dinner." Gilbert kissed his husband on the cheek.

Harvey sighed. "Sure, why not?" Harvey walked upstairs to clean himself off after a hard day of work.

Caleb then groaned and sat on the couch. "Well, that went terribly."

"Hey Caleb…" Willow placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "…dad might need some time to get used to. I mean, you were the Golden Guard after all."

"You told them I was the Golden Guard?!" Caleb exclaimed.

"I've seen rom coms and lying tends to make things worse." Willow said. "Besides the wacky shenanigans which leads to a liar a revealed cliche."

"How did you react?" Caleb asked Gilbert.

"Well, I trust my daughter." Gilbert replied. "And if she's happy with you, then I'm happy. Already, you don't seem like a bad kid. Maybe you could describe your relationship history to him. I bet it's exciting, Willow never told us how you met. Only, how you got together."

Willow gave an unsure expression. "I don't know Papa. It's rather awkward."

"Willow, I might as well be honest with him." Caleb said. "Besides, he's going to start asking."

Later at dinner, which consisted of the meat Harvey brought from hunting and a few vegetables, Willow and Gilbert were eating theirs like it was nothing, Harvey was eating his while staring at his daughter's boyfriend while Caleb looked nervous as he took a few glances at Harvey.

It was so awkward, you could probably cut the tension in the air with a knife with Harvey still giving Caleb intense stares.

Gilbert and Willow saw this and they both agreed that they needed to start a conversation or else they could try and kill each other.

"Sooooo Willow, been on any interesting dates with Caleb recently?" Gilbert asked.

"A few days ago we had a movie date." Willow replied. "We watched a movie called Star Beast where…"

"So Caleb." Harvey interjected. "How did you meet my daughter? You didn't by any chance arrest her for anything?"

"Dad!"

"No, I didn't kidnap her." Caleb replied. "I kind of joined her Hexside Flyer Derby team on first meeting after she was impressed by my moves on my Palisman."

"But you never went to Hexside." Harvey pointed out.

"Oh no, I went to Hexside to find recruits for the Emperor's Coven." Caleb replied.

Willow cringed, knowing what could happen next. "Oh dad, please don't be angry." She whispered.

"So…You tried to recruit my daughter into the Emperor's Coven?"

"Oh, I freed her." Caleb assured him. "Even though I…..almost sent her away from her family."

Harvey tightened his grip on his fork. "You almost had my daughter taken away? I don't know kid, you're doing a sour job of convincing me you're good for my daughter."

"Hey, that was the old me." Caleb assured him. "I'm only being honest so it doesn't lead to comedic hi-jinx."

"I'm sorry, what?" Harvey asked.

"Forget that." Caleb said. "Anyway, we met again at Hexside where I was hiding after discovering my true purpose in the Coven and we fought off the head of the Illusions Coven."

Harvey grinned for the first time. "That guy was a jerk anyway. So, did you two become close when you were trapped together in the Human Realm?"

"Just close friends." Caleb replied. "It wasn't until I was there that I began to have the strange funny feeling about your daughter. I assumed she gave me an illness but after we defeated the Collector and I started living with the Nocedas, I discovered thanks to my new family that I was falling for your daughter."

"Oh good." Harvey said. "Still angry about you kidnapping her."

"Again, I was still being controlled by the Emperor." Caleb said.

"But you had the guts to rescue her." Harvey said.

"Well….Steve did make me realise my errors." Caleb said.

"But you still had my daughter captured."

"Dear, enough." Gilbert interjected. "He is trying to change."

Harvey sighed. "You're right. I'm sorry Caleb. Just don't know how to feel about my daughter dating the Golden Guard."

"Dad!" Willow exclaimed.

"Sorry, let's just continue without anymore interruptions!" Harvey exclaimed as he aggressively ate his meat.

And so, everyone continued to eat their meal, trying to forget about that awkward outburst from Willow's dad.

Later that same night, Caleb was walking around Willow's bedroom while she laid on her bed, trying to calm him down.

"Caleb, I'm sorry that my Dad was acting like that." Willow said. "He may be strict but he doesn't overreact like that."

"I haven't been a member of the Emperor's Coven for a year and he doesn't forgive me." Caleb said.

"Well, you did capture me on first meeting." Willow pointed out.

"And Amity almost had Luz dissected on first meeting." Caleb retorted.

"Okay, point taken."

Caleb sat down on her bed. "I mean, he's just angry because I was the Golden Guard. Not because I captured you, but because I captured many Palisman and witches who could have been their friends because of my uncle's tyrannical rule that he followed I might point out until he was almost drained of his magic."

"That might be it." Willow said.

"Doesn't he realised that the Day of Unity was after I betrayed Belos?" Caleb asked as he lied on her bed. "Do you think I can get respect from him? The same amount I get from your papa?"

Willow held his hand. "You will. You will. Do you mind if I walk you home?"

"Could give me some comfort." Caleb replied. "I just hope my next visit will be better."

Then, lightning struck and a bit of rain landed on one of Willow's plants, disintegrating it. "Uh oh, Boiling rain!" Willow retrieved her plants and slammed the window shut to avoid the rain.

"Oh great." Caleb groaned. "Now I'm stuck here."

"Hey, it could pass." Willow theorised.

Just then, Gilbert ram into the bedroom. "Kids, I don't care what you're doing but Caleb, due to the rain you need to be staying here. It's going to be lasting for the rest of the night."

Caleb sighed while Willow smiled. "Well, look on the bright side. Least you'll be sleeping over."

"Oh and you two better not be thinking about sharing the same bed." Gilbert said. "I know what you teens are thinking."

"Papa!" Willow exclaimed.

Later, Caleb was trying to rest in a sleeping bag on the floor to Willow's bedroom while Willow slept peacefully in her bed.

Caleb couldn't sleep since he couldn't stop thinking about what Willow's dad was saying. Did he not forgive her after everything he had done? He understood but Willow and her papa forgave him, so why can't he? He was feeling thirsty so he got out of his sleeping bag and walked out of the bedroom to get himself some water.

But once he got downstairs, he saw Harvey sitting by the table drinking some tea looking like he couldn't get sleep himself.

Caleb was about to walk upstairs to the bedroom so he could avoid being spotted, but then Harvey looked up and saw him walking up.

"Caleb, sit down." Harvey said. "I need to talk about my actions."

Caleb was at first hesitant but he then walked back down the stairs and sat in front of Harvey, whom coughed.

"I know why you don't approve of me dating Willow." Caleb said. "It's a life I will forever regret for the rest of my life. I was in control of one of the worst people I have ever met ever since being born. I…I still regret it so much. She was the third person I ever met who treated me with kindness and compassion instead of hatred. But….I just shoved it aside for my own selfish gain."

"It's okay." Harvey assured him. "I should apologise. I was just angry about Willow dating someone who has a dark past that I just assumed you were evil. But also, I'm worried I'm going to inevitably lose her. She's growing up real fast. Now that she's met someone, it's kind of emotional. She has become strong and independent and soon she might move out with you. But, I guess I'm overthinking, you're far too young for that."

"Yeah, I agree." Caleb said.

"Listen Caleb, I'm sorry for being harsh." Harvey said. "How about we try and have a fresh start in the morning? I'll do my best to respect you and Willow's choice. Because if my daughter loves you, then I am going to respect you and I hope you'll do much to protect her."

"I hope we can." Caleb said. "And even if we do end up living together, I will treat her well. Plus, she doesn't need protection. She is one of the smartest, strongest and bravest people I have ever met and I'm proud to be dating her. She has made me a lot happier than I was before."

Harvey smiled. "You speak very highly of my daughter. I guess I raised her well."

Caleb smiled. "Yeah. Although, I think she takes a lot of her generosity from your husband."

"She does." Harvey agreed. "But, she gets her strength from her old dad." He then flexed his muscle, making Caleb chuckle.

"Yup, you're her dad alright." Caleb said as he smiled to Harvey, having finally gotten some semblance of respect which in turn made him get some of the best sleep he had.

Sure, it was going to take time to get 100% respect, but he was going to get there. No matter how long it took.
